The raw hamburger meat (not respecting European health standards, being minced meat) French fries practically only frying the potato does not exist, the Heineken beer seemed like dirty water

Nice atmosphere, very tasty food. The damp cloth is very practical, the design of the toilets and the restaurant in general is very successful. If you want to be served you have to actively draw attention to yourself.

Classic American ambience, typical American cuisine. Delicious. Service a bit slow and certainly only in English, little German - but that's part of it. Prices completely okay. I'll come back the next time I visit Berlin.

Great ambience. Portion sizes are great for the prices. Problems were solved immediately and you were friendly. Unfortunately only 3 stars for the service because we waited longer and had to make ourselves known, even though the diner was a quarter full because the girls were very busy with themselves and their cell phones.

Unfortunately I can't give this diner a good rating. Everything looks a bit run down, the toilets are dingy, some of the seats are torn. The service is pretty stupid and not very careful. Food only came after several requests. Food quite ok. I wouldn't go here again and therefore can't recommend it.

The food was good. Burger super tasty, fries a bit too cold, but also tasty. The service tried hard, but not quite as attentive. Some of the service staff hardly spoke any German, you would have to switch to English. Instead of a menu, you should read the menu on your cell phone.

Good portion and prices for lunch menu

We wanted to have a nice dinner at sixties and were told that they close ONE HOUR earlier than said on Maps so midnight - when we pointed out that it's wrongly stated on maps they just dismissed us and said well hasn't been changed in such an attitude! I am very very disappointed at the location at Hackescher Markt- I normally go the one in Zehlendorf and they are waaaay nicer than here seriously made me so mad I just stormed out of the restaurant! And I would give minus 10 stars for that attitude!

The atmosphere of the place is really nice with all that music and old-fashioned american design that we see in the movies. Wild-West Burger is so good and recommended. But there’s something wrong with their fries. We ordered 3 plates (all included fries) and they were all pretty bad. Oily and tasted weird. Great for atmosphere, photos and burgers but fries are disappointing.

Caro demais para Berlin. If it’s for meet look for Argentinian places.

Looks nice from the outside. However, inside it was quite run down, especially the toilet area… The burgers were really good, but the Caesar salad was unfortunately terrible. The “croutons” tasted like old toast from the morning… The hit: Our 12-year-old son was served a GIN tonic instead of the tonic water he ordered…

We were there on a Saturday lunchtime. When we wanted to order we were told that half of the menu was currently out. The guests who ordered shortly after us were served the dishes that were not available 🫤 so they were unfortunately a little disappointed. The food itself was delicious, the service was ok, the atmosphere was like an old American diner in Texas.

QR codes on the tables don't work, waiters don't show up to take an order for over half an hour. Went back without food.

we went into the diner and the waiter didnt even come up to us she just gestured that we could sit anywhere from across the room. the first two seats we sat in were dented and you almost fell of the couch. once seated in a normal seat we were helped at a okay speed but a little while later the milkshakes were apparently out and then a few minutes after the pancakes were also out. crazy. it took really long for the drinks to come. then the food arrived and she would bring bread and sauce too but forgot almost immediately. the blt sandwich was something i could easily make at home. cheap bread. the fries were really good tho. the city breakfast was pathetic and the egg was way too greasy. seats had tears in them and service was nothing to write home about. hii so i had the city breakfast, i wanted the pancakes but they didnt have them but they told me after i ordered it while waiting for fifteen minutes, and that can happen but when i also asked for bacon and eggs by my pancakes she found it weird haha, instead i took the city breakfast and it was bad sorry, its 8,50 for plastic fake cheese with a weird spicy taste and just some pieces with ham, a cooked egg that was really cold with jam and four pieces of just cheap supermarket bread and a couple of pieces of melon and pineapple . only the jam was good, and the fruit was okay but overall it was just bad and I couldn’t even finish it, sorry i can make the same breakfast at home cheaper and ten times better, around the corner is a place yuna we went to after this and its already a thousend times better so go there instead xox we didnt even have anythhing yet. i had farmers breakfast but before we got that i wanted a coffee and a milkshake for the true diner experience. but there was no milkshake.. so i just orderd a cappuchino wich took sooo long to arrive it was also not hot anymore when i got it. maibe i read wrong what the farmer breakfast was but i thought it would not be an omelette with everything in it the cheese was not good and there was defenitly to much of it. the salad was good i enjoyed that so maybe just order a salad.. truly we had high hopes cause it looked cute but its just as badly runned as america if it was runned by donald trump dont reccomand. we also never leave bad revieuws and restaurants have bad days but this is just bad and expensive sorry xox laszlo ana indra

Very nice atmosphere, the food was very good and more than plentiful and cheaper than other well-known fast food chains. For 12€ a REAL fat burger 🍔 with great fries 🍟. Everyone got super full and even for a long time. Drinks are also cheaper and the vanilla shake is really good. There's only one thing that's a real shame: the jukeboxes at the tables don't work.

Actually a nice American dinner, the look is cool, but... almost all of the benches are damaged or broken. The toilets are dirty and many things are broken. For men there is nothing to dry their hands and according to my wife there is nothing better for women. The breakfast isn't great either, but for 8.50 you can't expect more. Even my coffee cup had 2 cracks. Sorry but that's actually only 1 star.

Food below average, service terrible. We were there in the early afternoon. It was already explained to us that all starters were out. (The store was supposed to be open until 3 a.m. today. Who runs out of appetizers at 3 p.m.?!) The portions were very large and the fries were crispy but unseasoned. Unfortunately the burgers were both burnt. Ketchup and mayo were forgotten at our table and only made available upon request. When we wanted to order a second milkshake, the waiter told us that the first one we ordered was the last one and that milkshakes were now also out. When another table wanted to order milkshakes, they suddenly found some and we were allowed to order. Overall, the waiter seemed as if he simply didn't feel like serving us. It couldn't have been due to overwork. The place was almost empty (only four other tables occupied). But to still expect a tip at the end if the service was bad was audacious. The ambience itself seems outdated with some broken benches. Our one wobbled so much that leaning forward was not recommended. Overall a very unpleasant experience. Definitely wouldn't go there again.

Today was our first time in the Sixties, but definitely not the last time. The service was outstanding, the employee went to get cigarettes for us, and the food was really tasty. You could feel that the employee does her job from the heart. The only small downside is that here and there the ravages of time have gnawed away more firmly. But all in all a clear recommendation for Berliners and tourists. 👍🏼

The milkshakes are too sweet but that's a matter of taste. We ordered burgers with fries. The burger was completely cooked through, even though it was ordered medium. The onions were burnt and the fries were inedible, drowned in grease. Never again. I actually had good memories of the store, but the quality seems to have declined a lot.

Das Essen hat uns überhaupt nicht geschmeckt - und den Service fanden wir extrem unfreundlich. Darüber hinaus hatten wir im Anschluss (noch am selben Abend) mit extremen Magen-Darm Problemen zu kämpfen.

If I could I would give this restaurant 0 stars. The food was a complete disaster and not worth the money at all. The fries were soggy and unsalted and even adding mayonnaise didn't make it any better. The burger couldn't do anything anymore either. The food is absolutely not worth the price. Even McDonald's is of higher quality and tastes better for less money. The staff made an unfriendly and uninterested impression as soon as they entered the store and it took several attempts before they cashed in. The hallway in front of the sanitary facilities smelled of toilet stone and urine. The hygiene conditions in the women's toilet were simply subterranean. It smelled unpleasant. The floor was sticky and there were puddles in many places. There was no light in two of the three existing toilet cubicles and in the third the lighting kept going out after 10 seconds. The hand dryer had musty brown water in the grooves and it was dusty. The only plus point was the wall drawings and the furniture. Visiting the restaurant at the Mariendorf location was very pleasant and the food was worth the price. The sanitary facilities there were also a lot better. That's why we expected roughly the same at the Mitte location, but we were massively disappointed.

It's Sixtis style but the benches are partially cracked. Burger was OK but the fries were a disaster. Cola almost non-carbonated. The sanitary facilities have a train station toilet ambience.

I have no idea what was good. Toilets stink, burger was burnt, service was nice but unfortunately not really professional. Overall, you should think about the concept of the store and deal with the issue of quality.

Unfortunately the kitchen has become very poor. The chicken wings were borderline cooked, the avocado dip looked and tasted convenient. The tortillas with cheese and the mustard mustard sauce were good. For film fans there is a wall with Hollywood stars from the last 80s...really cool, as is the diner ambience. More space between the table and bench is urgently needed. The service was great.

We were there for the Festival of Lights on Saturday evening. The place was packed, which led to a lot of noise (but no one can do anything about it). The burgers were very dry, almost no sauce on them and the meat was also far dry. I have to admit that I have never had such a bad burger in a restaurant. There were three of us and no one even came close to eating. To go to the toilet you go into the basement, which isn't a bad thing as long as the women's toilet wasn't right after the stairs with a huge pile of water in front of the door and you had to slide through to the men's toilet first. We don't come here anymore.

Ideal for a late dinner after a whole day of touring around. Lovely atmosphere the music is on the perfect volume, the employees are very nice and welcoming. The food was very tasty and the lemonade super delicious!

Giving 2 stars because the server who assisted us was really great, food was terrible, literally two pieces of bread with a piece of meat and the fries were made with old oil, that's why the were dark brown 💀 Bathrooms didn't had any toilette paper and were full of excrement. As I worked on gastronomy I understand the problem it's the managing, lack of personnel and probably they are not even fair paid. Anyway I won't come back ever

Went there before in 2022, the place was alright back then. But now it's not recommendable. Food: Burgers were very underwhelming, meat was burned, both breads without any sauce, fries soaked in oil and they tasted old (probably the oil). The place itself has nice decoration, but some of the seats were sliced. Tables were clean, the menus were sticky though. Our waiter was great, although we had to ask for cutlery and got 1 knive. Seems like there are not many in circulation. The toilets were messy as well.

Underground! We were looking forward to a somewhat authentic American breakfast... We then waited almost half an hour for the coffee, the food came sometime afterwards after repeated requests (despite the shop being virtually empty), and then sometimes not even what we had ordered . The food was also horrible - a loveless omelette full of industrial cheese and watery mushrooms, poorly toasted toast and ready-made salad with ready-made sauce. We were hungry, ate, paid and left. The atmosphere is run down and some of the seats are completely torn. Never again!

The food wasn't seasoned at all, and the fries were probably cold and soggy from another customer who didn't want to eat them. The burgers were also cold and without sauce. The pizza was absolutely bought and not freshly produced. The food itself was enough to make you throw up, but the toilets were even worse. We waited over 40 minutes for our drinks, even though we had already asked for them twice. The food arrived after 20 minutes. The staff had no understanding at all, when we wanted new fries we were just told “It would take another half an hour.” We didn't feel like that, we wanted to get out as quickly as possible. When we finally wanted to pay separately (two bills), they just sighed cheekily and told us that it wasn't possible. The restaurant is an absolute disaster, don't go there!!!!

One of the worst restaurants I've ever been to. Service only speaks English and is very slow. It seemed very poorly organized as the drinks came after the food. The arrival of the cutlery required another request from us and took forever. The food was more on the frozen food level. The Chicago Style Pizza could have been made by Dr. Oetker and the salad contained moldy leaves. At least a 50% discount was granted on the salad dish. The toilet looked and smelled like a school toilet with scrawls on it. Even though the facility looks nice, it has seen better days. That was the first and last time I entered this place. After reading the other reviews here, I wonder whether the health department should even be notified here.

It was a terrible experience …. Sadly the food was not good at all. we just ordered fries and waited more than 30minutes furthermore the fries were cooked in old oil. The whole restaurant smells like toilet…….. because the toilet was not clean and the doors were open. Me and my friends all got sick after and we paid 14€ per person for this experience.. all in all would not recommend.

I waited mor than 45min for a Burger and the Fries were cold and not fried with good oil it tasted bad. The service wasn’t able to get us napkins and no fork was given to the person eating a salad. Good concept but bad execution!

I had a bad night after going here. The food took 1 hour to arrive and disgusting oil was used. The potatoes were blackened and covered in oil. Even though we were very hungry, we couldn't eat. They even brought the fork and napkin after asking 3 times.

-Food didn't come for an hour -really disgusting fries with a strange aftertaste -first wrong milkshake -toilet dirty -Fork napkin etc came after the meal and only for two people even though there were four of us -after eating we all felt sick

Having been here before, I was really looking forward to a second visit. However, unfortunately I was very disappointed. After placing our order for three people, the food came after 3/4 hour. That's totally okay for a Saturday evening. However, only 2 out of 3 orders came to the table and no cutlery, which we definitely would have needed for an order. Even after repeated inquiries, the situation has not changed. So one person started eating, the second waited for his cutlery and the third waited for the food in general. Only after the first person had finished eating and then went to the bar and explicitly addressed the problem did the food and cutlery arrive. So we couldn't eat together and unfortunately one person had to eat the food cold. I consciously emphasize that I have no problem with waiting, especially on a Saturday evening, but it's unacceptable that the food doesn't come at the same time and you have to run after the staff to ask six times for your third meal and the cutlery (and no, asking 6 times is not an exaggeration…). Too bad!

If you want to have a terrible date come here You can eat better pizza at home, frozen from Lidl. We had the New York pizza and a Chicago pizza which was very greasy, not authentic at all. The waiter didn’t ask for a dessert straight to the bill, he was mad that we didn’t leave the tip.

This might be the most incredible Restaurant I've ever experienced. The Food was amazing and you'll get as much as you paid. The Cheese of the Nachos was solid but somehow still tasted good. Some of the Seats are ripped but in my Opinion it resonates with the 60s style.

Very tasty food. More food than expected. For the price it is very very reasonable. The waitress was very nice, polite and friendly. A very nice restaurant.

It was such a nice place with a great portion size. We took fries with cheese and it was the biggest I have ever seen. Not the tastiest one (to my opinion the fries were not that tasty), but great for 2 people. I also took a breakfast, which was filled up with fresh fruits and amazing jam. It is 25€ for 2 people. We also took 2 glasses of juice.

What can you say? I was thrilled, thrilled by the ambience, by the appropriate music that wasn't too loud, by the rich food (New Mexico burger with fries and a banana juice. To finish off with a strawberry shake.) Tiny catch, the beef patty was already light burnt, but still very tasty. The waitress was very friendly to me. Everything just fit. I'll definitely come back.

I gave a 3 star review almost 4 years ago. Since a law firm is now being sent out to remove reviews, I have now reduced them to 1 star. Food and drinks were okay, drinks were more like 4 stars, nothing more - prices were just adequate - so 3 stars. Service back then was well below average. Ambience was good, but clearly worn out. Oh. I then attached another photo from the day. And the screenshot of exactly how long I was "not" in the location - Google makes this very easy. The law firm's subordinates are a.) A standard letter without any checking. b.) Completely far-fetched and unrealistic - 3 stars are really not defamatory. And which restaurant has a customer list of all guests?? I'm still waiting for a letter from the law firm 8 months later. So it only remains a criminal false statement. Since the owner does not respond to criticism, he seems to approve of the approach. Says a lot about the provider.

My Mother lost her appetite after smelling her chicken club. The entire thing smelled like it had been cooked with the same oil that had been used to cook the salmon. My sister a day later had food poisoning. The server barely stopped by and only did so in the first 30 seconds that we had started eating. (My mother had not taken a bite yet). When we brought the situation to her attention she had the audacity to claim that it was our fault for the lack of communication and they would have happily refired the meal. However, everyone in my family has worked service and it would be quite unacceptable to have a defensive tone over an issue that neither party s responsible for. I will say she was nice enough to take one of the sandwiches off the tab. But if you are one of the few that does their due diligence before dining in. DO NOT EAT HERE! TLDR: ONE PERSON FOOD POISONING AND ANOTHER LOST APPETITE COMPLETELY!

One of the worst restaurants I've ever been to. Definitely not a recommendation For one thing, the music here is way too loud. Furthermore, the service here is a disaster. You have to order from several waiters for the order to even go through. The next thing was that we were given wet cutlery, after which we waited over 1.5 hours for our food. In the end we got our burgers which were even more of a disappointment, no sauce on the burgers. The fries were inedible because apparently the frying oil is never changed and ultimately none of the waiters spoke German. Price-performance=not available

Food okay but not particularly good for the price

Two of us had dinner at Sixties today. Iced tea was totally oversweet, both of two plates were broken. I took 2 bites of my New York sandwich and immediately had to go to the bathroom and throw up. The fries are fried in old oil, which you can tell by the smell. I've been a restaurateur myself for 15 years and I find it extremely disgraceful how uninterested and rude the staff reacted to our concerns! Despite all the complaints, we paid the full price of 41 euros. Unfortunately there are not 0 stars. Avoid this restaurant!!

Schrecklich!!!! Bedienung don’t give a F… Essen ranzig… Ein Biss und musste brechen… Fritten Öl sehr alt… Teller kaputt … darauf hingewiesen… Sie hat nur gelacht… Wollten bezahlen, Teller waren quasi unberührt, einfach 41 Euros kassiert ohne ein Ton zu sagen. Finger weg!

Unfortunately very bad, food was almost cold, waiters speak almost no German. The waitress looks at you after you ask your question and the only thing she could say was "English please". Yes, of course, it's in the middle, English is a world language, but if as a German in your own city you don't have the opportunity to order your food in German and you don't understand the simple question of whether the burgers are also available individually, that's fine sad. Conclusion: at least not there again

Nice American restaurant. The service is extremely friendly and nice. We found it a bit cool, but luckily we had a place by the heater. The food is delicious, typically American. The fries are homemade, a bit too greasy for me, my companion thought they were great. With the burger you can put your own tomatoes, cucumber, onions and lettuce on it. Women's toilets are OK. Men's toilets can be renovated again and there are no towels or the hand dryer is broken.

Great atmosphere in the middle of Berlin. The food is okay for the price. But there is better. The service was super nice but very slow. After eating we had to spend 20 minutes trying to get someone to cash out. But that happened quickly. You can pay by card here!

Overall good experience. Pros: food was tasty. The dry aged beef ribs were delicious. The beef tacos were tasty and the portion size was big. Cons: unfortunately, the restaurant does not have pulled pork or pork ribs. I wanted to get some, as these are quitessential american. It seems that this restaurant is run by a turkish family. I think that explains the absence of any pork options on the menu. I think that is quite sad. Also, some of the interior was damaged (multiple of the booths were ripped). It could be taken care of better. If they fixed these two issues, I would give them a higher rating.

Unfortunately my chips had a cigarette butt in them. Heard a table next to us had some plastic in their food as well, so it seems the kitchen isn’t the most hygienic. Very fatty and huge portions which wasn’t to my taste but I was obviously not the target audience. On a plus, the waitress was very polite and understanding and after some negotiation with the kitchen staff we agreed to subsidise the meal which was appreciated.

I found either a Marlboro gold or potentially even a Benson in my chips 💀💀💀!!! I was shocked, saddened, and bamboozled by this event. My experience was ever so slightly redeemed by the fantastic waitress.

I hated it. I ordered the tortilias with beef and chicken but as i look over my plate almost everything was burned. I thought i could hide the taste with the salsas that came with the tortilias. I ate a bit but after a while i realized that my chicken wasn't cooked. Outside it was like coal but inside it was raw. Currently its 2.17 am and i can not stop going to the toilet. You guys literally gavw me food poisoning and be hapoy that i am not duing yall rn

Food was bad, burger was undercooked, pizza is just a frozen pizza, nacho’s where just dull. Beer smelled funky, nobody came to ask if everything was fine, 80’s music in a 60’s place…. We even thought about leaving without paying.

There is a very nice 1960s style American restaurant here and I think they really nailed the atmosphere and ambience of that period. You can find just about any American-style American dish you want here, and the portions are really generous. Payment can also be made by card, and overall the restaurant is very good and recommended. However, it would be better if the staff were a bit friendlier and more energetic. Although we were warmly welcomed by a member of staff upon entering the restaurant, the person who took our order and served us did not seem particularly motivated or patient. Therefore, I am deducting a star because of this person's rather unfriendly behavior.

Nice shop with good music. The burger was good. It's annoying that something doesn't always work with the milkshakes. Either there is none at all or only vanilla/chocolate.

Just another run-down restaurant. Dirty tables where you look and you have to point out to the waitress to swing a cloth and broken, torn seats. The fries are soaked in fat so you can't eat them. Not even edible with ketchup. So all in all, all that's left is the name of the restaurant. The thing needs a basic cleaning and a new coat of paint on the inside. Menus are no longer only available via QR code. It's terrible when you don't have a cell phone with you and you don't even dare touch the menu that's probably the only one there is because it's just full of germs. That was our last visit there for the time being. There are definitely better burger restaurants in the area where you can spend your money. It wasn't a taste explosion either.

Quaint restaurant near the Hackeschen Höfe and the Hackescher Markt in Berlin. The name already suggests this and so it is no longer a surprise that the furnishings are entirely in the style of the 1960s. The chrome flashes and flashes. It is comfortable to sit in the upholstery, some of which look as if they were contemporary. This is intentional, as the Sixties Dinner also comes across as a lounge bar.

Unfortunately, the fries are so greasy that you leave the store with a stomach ache. No paper in the toilets.

Stylish diner bar in the heart of Berlin near the Hackesche Höfe, Museum Island, Cathedral and Alex. Monbijou Park is around the corner. The food is very American with burgers, fries and baked potatoes. But also many simple Italian dishes such as pizza and pasta. One star deducted from the decent food for the way it was served and from the friendly, fast service for the lack of table cleanliness.

Very nice restaurant in the former Jewish quarter of Berlin. The title says it all, but to my eye the atmosphere was more 'fifties'. It also vaguely reminded me of the concept of the Hard Rock Cafés. Admired the interior, had a drink on the terrace and visited the toilet. Nice staff, very efficient too.

Food doesn't taste good. The bathroom was very dirty. Our burgers were served without sauce.

I've been a big fan of this sixties for many years! But times are changing... The burgers have become smaller and smaller over the years and now you can get what should actually be put on the burger next to it to... garnish yourself? The bun is too small for the burger, the meat was served medium rare even though it was ordered well done... and the fries are no longer golden or jumbo, but just fried and medium. There used to be coleslaw with it! Unfortunately I'm very disappointed and don't want to go there anymore :((

We were extremely dissatisfied with our visit to this place, the burger patty was raw, there was no light in the toilet stall, the waiter mixed up the order, the only small plus was that the alcoholic cocktails were not bad

I'm very disappointed, we've been there before and everything was good...but this time it was unreasonable. I don't know what was wrong with the service staff. Our waitress (blond, medium-length hair) seemed very stressed and passive aggressive. We wanted to drink a milkshake and the only short, succinct answer was "We don't have any shakes". Hm ok... but they are on the menu 🤷‍♀️🤔 Well, no idea what was going on, maybe the milk was empty. Every time you wanted to order something, it wasn't possible because the waitresses always ran away so quickly. (The store was not overly busy) The food was also better, fries unsalted, burgers dry. Unfortunately, it took us an eternity to get a waitress, so we finally got some sauces, but unfortunately they were gone so quickly that we couldn't order any cutlery or napkins. When we were finished with our food, we got our cutlery basket.😅🫣 All in all very disappointing, perhaps the owner should think about conveying the restaurant's mission statement to his employees.

I hardly know where to start with this disaster of a dining experience. Over half the items on the menu were unavailable—no pancakes, no milkshakes, not even basic mayonnaise. The waiter nonchalantly mentioned that the ice cream had gone bad, as if that was just par for the course. The guacamole was rancid and had to be sent back immediately, and the fries were so greasy they were impossible to eat. Not a single dish matched the description on the menu. Everything had a strange, foul taste, likely due to a grill that clearly hasn’t been cleaned in ages. Considering the state of their disgustingly dirty bathrooms, this was hardly surprising. As for the service, it was shockingly careless and apathetic. It felt like the entire staff couldn’t care less whether the place stayed open or not. How this place is still in business is a mystery. The decor might be nice, but no amount of visual appeal can cover up the disaster that is this establishment. To top it all off, our server refused to offer any kind of compensation or discount, even though we could barely eat any of the food. They wouldn’t even comp the spoiled guacamole we had to send back. This place is beyond disappointing. What could have been a fun, enjoyable outing turned into an experience so bad it left us wondering how such blatant disregard for customers could exist in a business. This restaurant is a mess, and no amount of decor can hide that.

During this late summer Sunday, filled with important errands and good friends, I came to this diner looking for a succulent meal and a cure to my friend's yearning for his home country. Entering The Sixties Diner you are greeted with a vibrant 50s, not 60s, aesthetic, and a fine selection of music. These first fleeting moments of excitement are however your last blissful ones in this establishment. We started off by sharing a plate of nachos. These were flavourless, coated with a strange paprika powder, and served with a salsa that unfortunately wasn't salsa, but ketchup. The salsa was bad, but edible, the guacamole was rancid. Thirsty, as we expected to become when eating nachos, we asked for tap water with our food, but were informed that the restaurant "doesn't have" tap water. Unfortunate, but still impressive to run a restaurant without access to water. We explained that we were all going to order Milkshakes with our main course, and simple wished to hydrate before doing so. Oh, no, we don't have milkshakes today, we were informed. This proved to be a recurring experience for us, as we desperately fought our way through the menu, looking for items that were possible to order. Our main courses looked better than the nachos, but tasted worse. Soggy, tasteless burgers and sandwiches, dripping with fat, accompanied by sweet, mushy and strangely greasy fries. Sauce for the fries had to be ordered, at extra cost. The service was strange, deeply unenthusiastic and seemingly built on the strategy of blaming managers and cooks instead of taking responsibility for what went on in the restaurant. To top up our experience, they charged us €7 for the 0.7 liter bottle of water that we, a defeated group, shared alongside our food. On the ride home from the restaurant, collectively having cancelled our afternoon plans together after the experience we endured, the food in my stomach quickly turned into what I suspect is a burning block of cement.
