A completely normal North Sea restaurant.

Been there again for a long time. The waitress couldn't operate the cash register and couldn't do two things at the same time. We were asked several times what we wanted. The second colleague walked through the guest room but didn't pay any attention to the ambience. She could have picked up bills lying on the floor or straightened the chairs. It was my last visit

I'm disgusted, disappointingly bad. I have a stomach ache now, not recommended. If you want to have an upset stomach, the store is perfect.

Food there looks way better than it tastes. Our fish burgers were cold and tasted like some kind of potato mashup crap. Avoid this place!

Yesterday 02/20/2025 afternoon. It was empty, the service was friendly. In no time I was dispatched and out again. I rarely, almost never, go to a fish restaurant. That's why I was astonished because it didn't smell like fish or other unpleasant things like you get from burger joints. I found this brief moment to be pleasant because it was quiet and clean. I celebrated my baguettes at home. Guys, as a non-fish eater, I can tell you: That was so delicious!

Order two foods and wait about it 15 mins. Crispy and the soup is nice

Terrible experience… Had a lunch break and decided to try Nordsee for the first time. It was terrible. I ordered a soup and waited 25 minutes for it! There were few guests and 5 people of kitchen staff, who were doing nothing! All the five worked on one order at a time. After 15 minutes of waiting, I came to the front desk and asked what the problem was and was told to wait 2 minutes. I was told that 2 times! I argued with the manager, but she told it always takes that long because they cook it fresh. Does that mean they cook it from scratch? Stupid… Soup was nice, but it’s not a Michelin star restaurant to take 25 minutes for a bowl of soup during a lunch break. Every worker was slow. 1/5

Sunday lunch. Among many closed places, at least here we were able to eat and rest a bit. Nice environment. Food okay. Price a little high.

Fries were tasty, fried potatoes and fish could have been fried for another 5-10 minutes and were very greasy. Unfortunately, even the staff doesn't know the price of coffee. This location still has a lot of room for improvement.

I really like the idea of fast food with fish that is not only deep fried and also can be served with rice and other vegetables. It was hard for me to order in English, but it was still possible. I wish similar things existed in Poland

Delicious fish and great side dishes. I liked the sauce with the fish best. The atmosphere is pleasant, the place is clean and the staff is very friendly.

Doors were open at 3 degrees and it was super cold. The Bismarck Baguette was completely carelessly topped and not even remotely worth the money. And the children's menu is underground. The fish nuggets are mushy fish sticks and the toy in the menu is a sheet of paper with 4 pens.

Food is served cold and you wait far too long. You have to freeze when you eat, too cold even with a jacket. Because the door is open at minus degrees.

One of the best places to eat in Berlin city centre. It offers takeaway foods (sandwiches etc.), as well as fast food options, as well as some fine-dining-esque items. We ordered the fast food boxes, like the fish'n'chips box, which was amazing, freshly made, with a sauce in a waffle cup, which is a nice touch. Portion sizes are filling and for reasonable prices by the city's standards. The location is wonderful, close to various transport options. Wonderful view on various landmarks of Berlin and the trams from the restaurant.

Excellent place .. great food and very friendly staff. You can get a snack like I did .. fish and chips around 6 EUR or a larger fish meal. I'll definitely be returning.

I ordered eats there via Uber. Once the standard fish & chips and once the mix box. In the first half of it was gone, the dip looked like someone had already taken some of it. The second box was defective. Both boxes were cold and soft and inedible. Ahh and there was also hair in both boxes. Luckily I got a refund from uber eats. But something like that is generally unacceptable, shame on you all you disgusting old people🤮.

The quality of the food has dropt ovre the years. Very sad.

Bad attention from the two ladies at the bar. They do not serve the menu they have advertised and they make you order what is on the counter at 2 pm.

Food is not good ,service is not friendly

Not recommended - bad food and way too expensive for this lousy quality! One star is almost too many!

Toilet was broken, so there was a long queue in front of the disabled toilet.

That won't work in this tourist hotspot with so few staff. Dirty tables, boring, loveless and tasteless food. The staff bitches in front of the customers due to the high workload. It's a shame, things were better at some point.

This North Sea branch is a disgrace. I've been there twice now and both times both the plaice and the grilled pollack were burnt on at least one side (black!), the drinks were no longer carbonated and tasted like washing up water and the staff had difficulty getting supplies, So sometimes extremely long waiting times occur because something is currently out of stock. This is the worst branch I've ever been to! Never again!

I think absolutely nothing of these order terminals. My dislike was then underlined by the fact that my order had apparently been lost and was then prepared incorrectly and I therefore waited almost 15 minutes for my potato and prawn box. I'm now used to the fact that there are only 3 prawns in the potato and prawn box, but I think if someone would take such orders directly at the counter and then prepare them straight away, there would be fewer things going wrong. I think I won't add this branch to my favorites.

Bright room with large windows facing the street intersection. Can take in the hustle and bustle of the street while eating. Prices not cheap, but OK for the location. Toilet clean.

Absolute canteen feeling and a completely overwhelmed service that screams at the people in the long queue. After standing in line for a long time, we just had a drink and went somewhere else to eat. Underground, really. 😳

There used to be 5 fish fingers, then 3 fish fingers because they now had grain breading. Now there are only 5 small fish nuggets in the fish and chips box. According to the North Sea headquarters, there should be 15 shrimps in the shrimp box. But there are almost always only 12 and you always have to count them. Very bad price-performance ratio.

For the price, far too small a portion.

That was by far the worst visit to the North Sea I've ever had! The shrimp were extremely limp and fell apart. We waited in line for ages and the employee brought the wrong sauces. The food was also cold. The shop itself is pretty cute, but that's about it..

You can save really well with the app.

I made an order for the whole family, and everything was ready for a few minutes, but my soup, which I had to wait for another 20 minutes. And it was not even that busy. A lady from the personnel promised two times that "it is coming" to no avail. Otherwise, it is what you could expect from Nordsee everywhere else. The location is great, though.

Disgusting, ugly and rude service and the branch manager is too conservative and has no idea how to serve a customer. Don't give out what you ordered and complain about asking for what you paid for. The fish nuggets are cold. In addition, the shop is relatively dirty because the food leftovers from previous customers are not put away. The cola was good (luckily the incompetent staff can't do anything wrong). It's better to go to Alexa at North Sea, it's just around the corner and you'll get better service there.

I have eaten at other Nordsee restaurants, so I expected some good food. I was pretty disappointed with the food at this particular location. The fish was dried out. I think they cooked the fish and let it sit there too long before serving it. Same with the shrimp we had. They were pretty busy on this day. So the service was pretty slow, and they were not very friendly at all. The dining area was nice and clean and spacious. The restrooms were clean, too. I can see why this restaurant got some bad reviews on here.

For the price, the portions are absolutely ridiculous, and the quality isn't particularly impressive either. The highlight was certainly the employee with the short red hair, who loudly expressed her subterranean mood on almost all the customers in the store. Overall, an absolutely horrible experience

A little dirty environment. Low priced but not particularly good food.

The fish had probably been swimming in fat for a long time. In any case, the clod was dripping and was heavy in the stomach. The tables in the outside areas are all wobbly. Pretty dirty inside. The drinks were rather warm and stale. Not acceptable given the prices.

Food was expensive and cold when served. The bread was also a day old and stale. The large woman with the red hair runs the counter like it’s a military camp screaming at customers and giving grease looks.

Where do I begin, the awful food or the awful service. I ordered a fish roll and received a cold oven fish piece in stale bread with some mayo for 11 euros and about 10 chips. The fish looks like the lidl brand crumbed fish you get in the freezer. I was given a greasy look for taking a small packet of salt. Maybe you pay extra for some pieces of salt? I’m not sure. The fish bites were bites bad. 5 pieces for 7 euros? I’m surprised the oxygen is free in there. The red haired woman was shockingly aggressive and very rude as well. When I was done I ran out and thought she might chase me down the street like she did when I almost accidentally retrieved the wrong drink from the room temperature fridge You also have to pay to use the toilet.

We waited over half an hour for 1 fried fish and 1 Bremer roll. And these weren't even freshly prepared...

Nordsee used to be great but now it's really just minimum for the the same price

Good value for money and tasty fish, cooked in various ways. Clean and practical for getting around the area. Coupon for subsequent purchase. Very kind staff. Excellent soup. Sufficient portions.

In my opinion, the service person at the counter faced numerous customers alone, which of course cost her nerves, which is why she couldn't be blamed for not being able to respond to every customer with all the friendliness. The food was very distasteful as the fries were completely unsalted, and the pollack fillet was actually mostly fried panada with something in it that tasted kind of like fish but felt rather hot and slimy. Hunger alone drove it in. Some of the tables were unclean and not wiped. Many people seem to come in from outside just to use the toilet. I can understand it in retrospect. The order machines throw out two pieces of paper: the invoice and the order number. Unfortunately, a machine was messing around, so the pieces of paper came out one after the other with a longer delay. As a result, some customers only left with the bill, but were then asked for their order number when they picked up their meals, which they didn't have. Wouldn't recommend this restaurant.

I ordered the wrong thing and the bread was a bit stale

Berlin warmth dominates the ordering experience. The coffee from the machine is okay. But if you think that you can get particularly good fish sandwiches here, at the fish specialist, you will be sorely disappointed. In every fish shop or fish stand you can find better-filled, lovingly made fish sandwiches. I would be happy if improvements were made here.

Spare yourself that. Bismarck rolls twice is a joke. The mood among the ladies behind the counter could be improved.

Good location, good seats, quality of food was bad

For service we would have given 0 stars but you can't… We placed the order on lieferando for home delivery. We ordered two different sandwiches and three large fish and chips (as per the receipt) and in reality 4 identical sandwiches arrived, not ordered, and 1 small fish and chips. The food was acceptable but we assume that, since the closing time was 7pm, they gave us what was left and therefore did not correspond to our order. Furthermore, we also lost some money since the order arrived had a lower cost than the one paid on the application! We do not recommend this restaurant, especially if you order takeaway and it is close to closing…

Close to Alexanderplatz and Museum Island, it is suitable for a quick fish-based lunch. It has seating inside and outside. Prices in line with those of similar restaurants in Berlin.

Terrible service, very good food

Food was fine as you can expect from Nordsee. One more order number display would be needed on the wall.

In the branch on Spandauer Straße there was unpleasant behavior from a young saleswoman today. An older woman asked about the prices of the dishes in the photos and was directed by the saleswoman to the ordering terminals, where she could read them. “See how old I am, and what if I can’t do this with the machines?” The young saleswoman's arrogant and didactic answer: "We live in the 21st century! You have to be able to do that!" "I forgo your food, goodbye." I agree with your waiver in the future.

Ordering food from the North Sea has become quite complicated. Some of the machines are broken. You can't order at the counter, the overwhelmed staff point to the machines. We then helped some guests with their order, otherwise they would have left... Sad

The fish soup with shrimp skewer tasted very good.

Good evening, we a group of girls were here today at Nordsee Spandauerstr. And tried to order something. I've rarely experienced something like that, it was really unpleasant to order something. The employees were so overwhelmed, terrible, so unfriendly, disgusting. Children were shouted at, people who ordered something were shouted at. You couldn't order a drink via this terminal then my number came and she was so angry and blew so much oh man because she had to book it! So please, this Cola Zero 0.5 costs just under 4 euros, but you can probably just type it out. 2 rolls were missing, my friend had the number to pick them up and then she was gone and the lady with the short red hair said yes, bad luck and I said please, it had already been paid for. So NEVER again. Lg

Tasty and good place for quick meal

Yesterday we were looking for a delicious fish sandwich and soon lost our appetite thanks to the very “nice” service. Orders only at the terminal which is very difficult for older customers. Junior then decided on a shrimp box which was very tasty. Even when my child said thank you to the saleswoman, she didn't even respond. Food delicious but customer service a six

The food is very good. Good value for money and lots of choice

The potato salad was overly sour, the fish looked crispy, but it wasn't, rather limp. The dill remoulade is not recommended. No fresh dill, anything dried, tastes like hay. Actually, only tourists eat here to fill up. The payment system and service are set to 100% self-service. Many customers appear obese.

Unfortunately the food didn't look fresh at all. The employees seem overwhelmed. A pity.

It was not possible to order anything because there was no sales staff on site and the machines only spat out error messages.

The only North Sea branch in Berlin that is also open on Sundays. Access only by public transport, parking/parking garage nearby impossible. Orders are placed exclusively at the order terminal. Then pay by card or in cash at the checkout. Food was freshly prepared, but it took a while before you could pick it up. In terms of price (keep in mind it is system catering) it is very high. Staff seemed stressed. Unfortunately the shop is a bit dingy. Tables sticky and benches with crumbs. The leftover food from the overflowing tablet return also seems to be lying there for a while. And it's 32 degrees today... There is a customer toilet. Very dirty, no towel paper. Dishes etc. were also partly unclean or very outdated and worn. Was a one-off visit. No recommendation.

Affordable fish restaurant, everything is top notch for the price

I don't know, but every year the quality gets worse. Probably that's why McDonalds and are so popular, they can somehow save the quality. We ordered a typical burger for 6€, which according to taste was an absolute copy of the vending machine burger at my university. It's not a very understandable system with dispensing coffee. The fries weren't very fresh. Delicious fish soup, for which I leave 3/5, with pieces of fish and shrimp. I recommend it. It was 42 euros to eat for 2 people, for that money you can find something much tastier.

If I had read the reviews beforehand I definitely wouldn't have gone in here. Staff wasn't visible at all. Ordered at the terminal and waited for my food at the pick up stand. Unfortunately my order was completely different. I didn't see anyone and no staff spoke to me saying that my food was already waiting for me.

Ich habe kürzlich das Nordsee-Fischrestaurant in der Spandauer Straße in Berlin Mitte besucht und leider war das Erlebnis alles andere als erfreulich. Die Fischsuppe, die ich bestellte, war mickrig und enttäuschend. Sie enthielt eine einzige Krabbe, ein kleines Stückchen Fisch und diverse nicht erkennbare Einlagen, die das Gericht unappetitlich machten. Meine Frau bestellte die Krabben-Kartoffelbox, die genauso enttäuschend war: drei kleine Krabben und siebzehn Kartoffelecken – ein sehr mageres Gericht. Die elektronische Bestellung, die das Restaurant anbietet, hat bei vielen Gästen zu Frust geführt. Die Wartezeiten betrugen 20 bis 30 Minuten, was viel zu lange ist. Drei Gäste gaben schließlich ihren Bon an der Kasse ab und verließen das Restaurant, obwohl sie bereits elektronisch bezahlt hatten. Das Personal wirkte überlastet und gestresst, was sich negativ auf den Service auswirkte. Insgesamt war das Erlebnis enttäuschend und ich kann dieses Restaurant leider nicht empfehlen. D. B.

The shrimp box with potato wedges only had 3 mini shrimp in it and a few soggy potato wedges. I find it really disappointing, especially since we had 2 such boxes and the other one had at least 5 shrimps. If so, everything should be the same. The staff already seemed unmotivated at lunchtime. Unfortunately, I think North Sea has become disappointing.

Not great but still an option for fish near to Alexanderplatz

Hello Bad and cold food. Rude staff and dirty tables. The North Sea is close to sinking. Please avoid the North Sea.

Everything was better before. The worst thing isn't even the machines, but the cheap metal cutlery that must have been dug out of some previously overlooked NVA warehouse. If you manage to get a bite onto your fork, it's guaranteed to fall down again on the way to your mouth. Oh, how beautiful it was “back then” in the Potsdamer Platz arcades (which were also “destroyed” a few years ago).
