Eierschale Dahlem in Berlin

Ich habe von einem Banana Split getraeumt, war aber nicht auf der Karte. Auf Nachfrage hat mir die bezaubernde Kellnerin eine Superversion herbei gezaubert. Es war köstlich. Herzlichen Dank!

A colleague expressed a desire to join him for brunch at the Eierschale. Brunch isn't usually my thing, as it often ends in gluttony. The food on offer was average, the selection varied, and the flavors were well-prepared. It was commendable that even at the end of the time, everything was still available in sufficient quantities. It might be wise to change the pasta dishes more often, with smaller portions. Unfortunately, the texture was a bit "mushy" recently. The ambiance is nice and pleasant. In my opinion, the service staff deserves special praise. Fast, precise, and competent. The price for brunch is a bit high, especially considering the drinks are included.

Sehr freundlicher und guter Service mit coolen Speisen. Wir waren vor allem mit dem Fleisch super zufrieden, also kann ich wirklich empfehlen. Zusätzlich kann man sein Auto bequem Parken, da es viele Stellplätze gibt.

It was a disaster. We wanted a nice meal with the family and had reserved a table upstairs months ago because it's quieter and the view is nicer. We were first shown upstairs and then told, "Sorry, but your table is downstairs." We were then assigned a few tables downstairs. After we sat down and toasted, most of us went to the buffet, which, by the way, was not recommended (to name a few points: the bread was still frozen in the middle, everything was very dry and not properly labeled... tasted okay). So, while most people were at the buffet, we were suddenly told to move again as quickly as possible... We would have preferred to leave, but unfortunately, this was an important family celebration, so we were tied down... After all that, the mood was at rock bottom... It's definitely too expensive for all that. So, to summarize: - Agreements were not kept. - Loud. - Food didn't taste good. - Expensive.

Timelessly good and a real recommendation. Come here with a beautiful location, good food and friendly service.

The food was delicious. One waitress was a bit overwhelmed, but her colleagues made up for it. Overall, you can eat good, tasty food here at reasonable prices. The portions are generous.

Our annual Easter brunch came to a disappointing end today in the eggshell. The eggshell is no longer what it used to be... The service, well, the ambience is crumbling...dirty tablecloths, lukewarm coffee, the buffet poor and all frozen goods...simply unappetizing. So today was our last visit!

We've been going there for Easter brunch for several years. Since the change of ownership everything has changed for the worse. No trace of Easter flair. There used to be Easter eggs for the children. The previous great decorations were missing, no flowers on the tables, the tablecloths were still there with super stains, and the choice of food wasn't exactly tempting. There was no muesli or cereal or yogurt like in previous years. And my coffee in the pot was thin as fuck. It's a shame to spend so much money for 4 people. There was frozen food, the chicken wings were more cooked than fried. Anyway, today was the last visit there,

Easter Sunday 2025. Unfortunately not recommended. Service overwhelmed. An hour after the brunch opened, there was a yawning emptiness on offer. Plates empty and only poorly refilled. Waited a very long time for drinks. Endured with humor thanks to the nice weather. But very poor performance for the price.

We were here with a group, everyone ate something different and everyone was very happy with their choice of food. I could also see very happy faces at dessert :-))...😉 It was a beautiful day and we had a lot of fun. Many thanks to the kitchen and for a successful day.

Friendly staff and cheap menu. Was able to accommodate a group of 34 people here last minute who enjoyed the food.

I used to often go to Eierschale Dahlem for Sunday brunch. The last time was 8 years ago. I was always thrilled. Great atmosphere, great buffet, nice service and great live music. I was there again on Sunday and was looking forward to it. I was very disappointed. Bad service, expired milk from January 2025 on the table, so I ruined my first coffee. Coffee was thin, like hot water. Buffet left a lot to be desired. Salmon was cut too thick and looked like it was thrown on the plate. Scrambled eggs from the tetra pack, no bacon. Nothing special about cold cuts. (used to be much better) Vanilla sauce was standing around?????? No red jelly. 20 € for the buffet, with this range of dishes, too expensive. Atmosphere was better before, just because of the music. That's missing enormously. Too bad!!!!! Another piece of Berlin that is broken. I won't go into the eggshell again and won't recommend it to anyone else. I'm very disappointed

A great place for brunch. It starts at 10 a.m. A rich buffet with delicious breakfast items and delicious lunch dishes such as: B Roast goose with red cabbage and potatoes. For dessert there were cakes with vanilla sauce and plenty of fruit. The buffet does not include drinks. Unfortunately, payment is only possible in cash. The public transport connection is perfect. The U3 stops diagonally opposite.

A great restaurant for a weekend brunch. Be sure to reserve in advance!

The restaurant wasn't even half full when we wanted to have dinner with a larger group. Some orders were taken very quickly, others had to wait a long time and were often overlooked. Special requests were not implemented. The service was generally very inattentive and unstructured, but polite. Unfortunately the food was just okay. In the women's washroom, the water for washing hands was turned off.

Beautiful atmosphere and very, very nice staff. The brunch buffet is highly recommended and of course the a la carte food is also very tasty. I would love to come back.

2023/2024 3x Breakfast 1x Brunch Fantastic selection Good quality Very friendly, attentive staff. March 20, 2025, 2-5 p.m., again at the Eierschale This time for lunch. I had the burger. I wasn't so impressed. The fries were soggy. The burger was dry. The schnitzel was okay. The pizza was large but not very seasoned. We had to wait a long time for it because the first one was burnt. The service was completely listless, unmotivated, and inattentive. And that was despite not having much to do.

Die Location ist toll, aber heruntergewirtschaftet. Schlechter Service, eher unterdurchschnittliches Essen und keine „Klasse“. Massenabfertigung , gepaart mit einer gewissen Arroganz gegenüber den Gästen. Nein danke.

A beautiful villa, the possibilities of which unfortunately remain far below standard due to the operators. The food at brunch was okay, but quantity instead of quality. If something was missing, it was simply refilled from the containers purchased directly in the buffet area (unaesthetic!). No cereals, no juices or similar. The brunch was announced with "live music", but there was no trace of it... probably not for the first time and, brazenly, still present on the website. When asked, it was said that the band had "cancelled in the morning". Clear. Unfortunately, people are being played for fools here. It's a shame, because we won't do that again.

We were in the eggshell on Sunday when the weather was nice. When the waiter brought us the cards, I immediately ordered two Aperol Spritz. "It's like a marathon!" he grumbled unkindly as he walked away. We didn't want anything more. Later when I was paying, I tipped two euros, he put two fifties on the table with the words "I'll bring the euro straight away". He walked past our table several times until he deigned to put the euro on the table for us. He probably didn't expect our patience.

We celebrated a birthday yesterday and it was a great celebration thanks to the great eggshell. Thank you very much for that.

After what felt like 40 years, I was in an eggshell. My personal opinion is... Now it's become a fancy country. Crystal chandeliers everywhere... I was there with friends and were the only guests on a Friday 🤷 According to the waiter, "it's raining" Well, if you believe it, you'll be blessed... I won't be visiting the restaurant that quickly...

Very, very bad. We visited with the family on February 23rd and experienced an incredibly rude waiter (even by Berlin standards). Not particularly child-friendly, a large barrel shower was ordered - a small one was delivered with the statement - yes, I did that consciously otherwise I would have had to go into the cellar to get a new bottle (unfortunately the small barrel shower was completely non-carbonated). The side salad came straight from the fridge, unfortunately it was so chilled that the dressing was rather chunky and so the salad couldn't be eaten. When paying at the next table, the waiter said that card payments are only possible from €50 onwards. When we got our bill (€65), the waiter told me that the device sometimes works and sometimes doesn't and that he could see from certain symbols on the device that it wouldn't work at all. When I asked him to try it anyway, he reacted very grumpily, but lo and behold the device worked (the symbols belong to the manufacturer - I know the devices myself as the operator and knew that). Furthermore, I expect - in addition to decent service in a higher-priced restaurant - that if the card payment is broken - the service will tell me BEFORE I order... All in all, I will never enter this store again.

Estábamos aquí para el desayuno y estábamos encantados con la comida y el ambiente. La relación precio-rendimiento es genial. Sin duda volveremos en nuestra próxima visita a Berlín.

We went here as a family for brunch. Anyone who likes home-style meat dishes and has no further demands on quality or sophistication when it comes to food will certainly be happy here. Anyone looking for vegetarian or even vegan delicacies here will be disappointed. I told the boss that I thought it was a shame that there was almost nothing vegetarian and the answer was: "Ohh, we'll fill up on the vegetables straight away." By the way, the cold vegetables were a plate of grilled vegetables and the hot dish was broccoli (I think, because the container was empty and hadn't been refilled for hours). If you can't tolerate mushrooms then it will be very difficult. Because if no meat product was added to the potato soup, the salad, or the melon, or... then it was mushrooms. E.g. dumplings with porcini mushrooms. By the way, they were empty at lunchtime and weren't refilled. So I can't say anything about the taste. Conclusion: 80s cuisine with lots of meat and no heart. Anyone who likes it will be happy. Unfortunately I don't. By the way, the thing is called: eggshell. You might get the idea that there are many delicious and special egg dishes. But it's not like that. At the buffet there were only warmed hard eggs or scrambled eggs without anything (including bacon, yeah) lukewarm in a large pot. There are definitely people who like the loud station atmosphere. Not me. So we were in the veranda with a patio heater, a broken outside door and blankets instead. Either it was too warm or fast, or too cold. So this isn't my favorite.

Very suitable for an extended breakfast on Sunday!

This was our third time there, I think it was the last time too. The first time, goose leg with red and kale was very tasty. 2 visit 1/2 duck was already dead fried dry like it had been warmed up several times. 3 visit Pizza was disgustingly tasteless and smelled of roast duck, was duck roasted in the pizza oven beforehand? The ambience also leaves a lot to be desired. Cut flowers withered in a small vase on the tables, a shame for such a beautiful villa.

We were there for Sunday brunch and the range of food on offer is absolutely amazing and delicious and the price for the brunch buffet is very justified.

Wir waren am 2. Weihnachtsfeiertag dort gewesen. Es waren nicht sehr viele Gäste da. Das Personal war völlig lustlos gewesen. Servierten falsches Essen (Burger) und taten dann auch noch vorwurfsvoll, dass unser Gast den das nicht erkannt hatte. Keine Entschuldigung nix. Die Getränke kamen auch teilweise nicht oder nicht so wie gewünscht. Zum Schluß hatte man das Gefühl, geht endlich. Der Höhepunkt die Bezahlung. Die Kellnerin kam auch hier völlig lustlos an unseren Tisch, über den Gesichtsausdruck mag man gar nichts schreiben. Wir waren entsetzt. Entsprechend ist dann auch unser Trinkgeld ausgefallen. Leute, wenn es Euch keinen Spaß macht, lasst es doch einfach. Eins wissen wir genau, dahin führt kein Weg mehr.

The breakfast buffet was great. When I wanted to pay, it was debited as cash in the cash register even though I already had my card in my hand. Card payment was therefore not possible. And then “suddenly” she had no change for the cash payment and kept the difference without thinking. When I said something about it, the answer was that I should have paid appropriately (which is what I wanted with the card) and otherwise it wouldn't be your problem. It's a shame if you have to get your tip like that (which I would have otherwise given in cash after paying by card and now decided not to)!

Die Eierschale ist ein traditionelles Tanzlokal gewesen. Daraus ist geworden ein Großbetrieb in muslimischer Hand, dadurch die großbürgerliche Patina verloren. Schade. Die Karte ist regelmäßig. Verlass ist auf das Pizza-Angebot. Bei jedem Besuch in den letzten 3 Jahren wird versucht Kartenzahlung abzulehnen. Ich werde dieses Lokal nie wieder aufsuchen. Ich bin die Diskussionen leid.

Today we went to Eggshell for brunch with our family. The breakfast buffet selection was varied and well chosen, but unfortunately lunch left a lot to be desired. Cold soggy fries, soggy spring rolls, no sauce for the duck legs and much more. The main point, however, was the rude service, which was one of the female service staff. From rudeness when taking the order to inappropriate behavior when paying. We were explicitly asked whether we wanted to pay in cash and what about the tip. That's not possible and someone like that is bad for business in my opinion. Not again!

Nicely decorated breakfast and event restaurant, the à la carte breakfast wasn't that great on this day of the week, but on the weekend it's great!

Food was little choice for vegans/vegetarians. Underfloor heating way too warm. Service nothing more and nothing less than the standard.

Went there for brunch with a large group. Insanely disappointing. Absolutely loveless offer. Nothing seems freshly prepared on site. Everything was slapped onto the buffet from large packs. Vegans will find almost nothing here. And anyone else with a bit of demand for quality won't find anything here either. The coffee is also very thin and tastes difficult. The underfloor heating was running at full speed, so it was very uncomfortably warm/hot from below. Absolutely not recommended!!

We were here for Advent brunch. The food was below average I would say. There was always enough of everything, but the quality and presentation didn't convince me. Service was ok, ambience ok.

For Advent brunch. Food good, service good, 👍. Today there was even life music. Sanitary facilities very clean. Unfortunately scrambled eggs from the tetra pack... everything was fine until the end. Then to the checkout.......they simply overcharged us for 1 person. We were charged twice for 4 drinks. Simply didn't give a receipt and Question said a short time later it no longer works. When we asked if we could get an invoice, the answer was that you can no longer print out an invoice.......so be careful.......smells a lot like fraud. Never again... what a shame. Children over 12 full price for a 4 year old child full price for children over 15 euros. We think it's too expensive. No card payments at brunch. Why? I don't want to say it. For a larger company where several people are paying, please check carefully.

Unfortunately I can only agree with the previous review. We were a large group > 30 people. We had discussed everything with the restaurant long in advance. Even paid a deposit. On the day of the celebration our reservation could not be found. The waitress then barked at you in a bitchy manner. At least we weren't turned away. Efforts were made to find a solution. A small plus point. The rest of the evening was difficult due to the unprofessional, slightly older service lady. Orders were forgotten, drinks were swapped and simply thrown on the table, coupled with the lady's unfriendliness and annoyance. The climax of the audacity came with the payment. Here she wanted to tell us how to tip!! and was angry that we didn't want to give more! Unbelievable!!! The food was OK, but nothing more than mediocre! It's a shame, the atmosphere is actually nice, but we'll never come back!

When paying a higher bill for a still satisfying brunch buffet, I was told that only cash was possible (several common digital payment systems are pointed out at the entrance door!). It took over 25 minutes until a card reader was found!

Since no one would believe what happened during my evening visit, I won't go into the details. Also because it would go beyond the scope. The really only good thing was that the food, although it didn't correspond to what was ordered, tasted good. And if you think you can't go wrong with drinks, and if you think you can't go wrong with drinks, you're wrong.

We were there for the Advent buffet and unfortunately there is no other way to say it: it was the worst food and service we have ever experienced in Berlin.

not recommended! Seldom eaten so badly, the food is carelessly prepared, the atmosphere is subterranean, far too crowded, loud and uncomfortable. The service was extremely slow, not even the coffee tasted of coffee. In the end, the waitress refused to give us a proper receipt and insisted on paying in cash so that our consumption did not have to be officially booked. If there were -5 stars, we would lend them and are sure that we will never come back.

Were there today with 10 people for brunch. Unfortunately, there was only a small selection of cold cuts available; you searched in vain for shrimp or herring salad; and the scrambled eggs were only added as a misshapen lump in a key after asking three times; a little parsley, bacon or something? None! And when paying, I was suddenly asked to pay for two drinks that I had neither received nor ordered. Overall, I no longer recommend going there.

Sunday brunch, sometimes very loud and hectic. But the atmosphere of the house gives it back... rolls sometimes too hard! Another solution must be found. The buffet was perfectly stocked .

We were there for a break, on the restaurant's website it was supposed to cost 15 euros per person + live music. Because of this, we also reserved a table for 5 people. At the entrance gate the blackboard said €20.90. Pretty big difference. We didn't think that was very good, since it was our first time there for brunch, we didn't know. There were also other people who, like us, were quite surprised. Not professional and customer friendly.

Been here again for a long time and absolutely disappointed!!! Order 2 draft beers and get Carlsberg! When asked if they don't have any local beer on tap, which is what you can expect here, the waitress only says in broken German: "It's from Berlin" "Try it, it tastes good" - after that she was mushy and unfriendly! - my god!! You really should expect something better in this corner. We held back from eating afterwards. The whole shop looks like it's at a fair and the guests are an absolute disaster!! Has nothing to do with the old eggshell anymore.

After a long time I was a guest there again and was anything but enthusiastic. Because of the negative comments here, I was skeptical about visiting the store again. My expectations were even exceeded. Service at kebab store level, just unfriendly. Waitresses never asked if you needed anything else and when you ordered there was neither a smile nor an answer. A nod of the head is probably enough. As we left, our goodbyes were ignored. Service staff except for the doorman in sports and casual clothing, one even with a shoulder bag. The store itself is past its best, especially the outside area is very unkempt. The cold buffet was relatively carelessly prepared and sat in the room at room temperature for 6 hours without any spit protection or cover. Except for the salmon and the shrimp nuggets, only cheap stuff on the plates. Plus ready-made jelly pudding and discount cake. I didn't even want to try the warm dishes because I didn't like the look of them. I would have preferred to write something positive, unfortunately there was nothing except the beautiful location and the good name.

We went to Sunday brunch today. The buffet was very extensive and tasty. There was something for every taste. The service was top, despite the many guests. The ambience is very pleasant. We had a lot of fun and left the eggshell in a good mood. We're back in the eggshell for New Year's brunch.

Very nice location, but service and food were really the worst I've seen in Berlin wow sorry, really and the service was really terrible. Other people came after us, had their things much earlier and were generally almost ignored, nothing so embarrassing in Berlin for a long time experienced (outside there was probably only 15%-12% of the tables occupied at 24 degrees (afterwards the card machine was supposedly broken for days but you can't tell in advance, only when you want to pay

This used to be a really good shop where you could eat well. Nowadays you can no longer get good quality food. Salad was already rotten and the salad dressing was inedible. Despite complaining, we were only offered an espresso instead of canceling the meal. The waiter really tried hard and tried to make the best of the situation. It's a shame, but the store's best days are behind it.

The ambience is great, both outside and inside. Unfortunately I can only rate the breakfast as I've never been here at any other time of day, but for that reason alone it's worth a visit.

Solid restaurant with a nice ambience. We were there as a large group of people. The service was attentive and friendly. The apprentice was helpful. The food from the buffet was tasty. The drink selection was very good. We didn't use the existing beer garden. The restaurant is worth a visit.

Back then we really enjoyed coming here regularly. Unfortunately, it is no longer recommended at all. The food is bad, the service is unfriendly, the service is subpar. You ask in vain for a small bowl of water for the dog. The toilets are dirty and the card reader doesn't work either. We were here for the last time today.

Trotz der z.T. negativen Bewertungen diente die Eierschale als location für ein Klassentreffen, 10 Personen. Der reservierte Tisch befand sich aufgrund des schönen Wetters vorn auf der Terrasse. Die Servicekraft war professionell, hat alle Getränke und Frühstücksangebote fehlerfrei und prompt geliefert, hat Fotos von uns gemacht und auch die einzeln bestellten Rechnungen waren korrekt. Wir werden beim nächsten Treffen wieder dort reservieren.

Was ist passiert? Ich war im frühjahr schon zwei Mal da da war alles super aber jetzt, der Service ist eine Katastrophe. Da rennen Leute im Service rum die leider ein nicht verstehen. Wir würden zwei Mal gefragt ob wir ein Essen bestellt haben, andere Tische wurden auch gefragt 5 min haben wir das Schauspiel beobachtet denn kann irgendwann ein Kellner der mehr Plan zu haben schien und brachte das Essen am richtigen Tisch. Zu unsern essen. Das Essen war OK aber zu den Spagetti Messer und Gabel war abenteuerlich. Es war nicht möglich um um ein Löffel zu bitten. Wir haben fast eine Stunde versucht sie Rechnung zu bekommen. Der hilflosen Serviceperson um die Rechnung gebeten wurde ja gesagt passiert ist nichts. Ich bin denn irgendwann rein gegangen um zu bezahlen sollte denn warten. Die Kellnerin kann den irgendwann. Rechnung gab es nicht mit würde nur der Preis genannt. Fand ich komisch aber gut. Die meisten Teller standen bis zum zahlen auf unsern Tisch obwohl wir lange fertig waren mit essen. Sehr schade man sitzt da so toll und das Essen war sonst auch immer total OK.

The service (different people) walked past us several times without looking, orders were forgotten, then the wrong things came, the rosé was served lukewarm and in the end the bill was wrong (it was too high). The food wasn't a highlight, but ok. It's a shame about this location, which still has its own charm inside and out and was once really great. Maybe it's better for brunch, since it's mostly self-service (apart from drinks and buffet refills). But we don't feel like trying it anymore...

We were there for brunch and enjoyed the selection of delicacies. Lovingly prepared.

Very bad service, the first red wine was like vinegar water, it was probably left open forever, the waiter said well, it's a matter of taste.

A very rich selection at brunch, unfortunately a lot instead of great. In principle it's ok but it's better to have a little less quality. Just too crowded for us, too loud, so there was no mood for a cozy brunch. During peak times, you'll have to wait a good 5+ minutes to get your food.

Brunch in the Eggshell is an absolute dream. We were there quite often. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. There is lots of fruit, grilled vegetables, warm dishes, a selection of rolls, fish and meat, cakes and tarts. The ambience is very upscale with the many chandeliers and is suitable for guests of all ages. However, the average age here is around 60 years or older. We enjoy being here and will come back.
