Change of ownership is not like before!!!! We were eating with 9 people and after ordering drinks, 20 minutes later it was discovered that there was no beer in the barrel and there was no more draft beer at 7 p.m., there was a big TV in front of the door and a couple of fans without beer, they were completely removed. 3 people canceled and during the meal they insisted that they had to pay in full for the missing people, including 6 Unfortunately I cannot recommend this steakhouse. Service very young, nice woman, waiter very unsympathetic, hectic, very restless and (fortune teller) always knew better. See pictures, everyone can decide for themselves whether it was worth it !!!!! Next time I'd rather have McDonald's

Insanely good quality! The fries were great and we ate burgers that were absolutely amazing. If I had the chance, I would give an extra ten stars for the service. I have rarely been served so well.

During our visit today, the entire crew was having a really bad day. Service overwhelmed, meat raw and cold, baked potatoes cold and floury, salad forgotten. Starter 4 mini tortillas not recommended. Main course was not edible. However, service accepted the complaint very friendly and apologized. Staff probably fell ill at short notice. The shop is otherwise nicely done. Maybe it was a dark day there today.

Salon Steak House used to be better! That's why the rating is a little mixed. The steaks really aren't what they used to be. The portions have generally shrunk a little. Service is great as always, but that also goes down because when there is a lot going on, the employees are very friendly but extremely stressed. The ambience also allows for a little innovation.

Delicious steaks, super friendly service

We shared the Chateaubriand Filet and it did not disappoint. I am not a regular visitor at steakhouses and this was more of a spontaneous visit but I really enjoyed the dinner. The sides dishes were surprisingly also very good and they offered a good variety of additional sauces if needed. If there is one thing I think can be improved it would be the selection of open red vines. They offer a variety of bottles however only 2 for glasses.

Service was subpar, food was OK. A little tip: For red wine, “room temperature” does not mean “23 degrees”.

Unfortunately we can't say anything about the food. We had reserved a table online, but when we arrived we were turned away very rudely. For technical reasons the restaurant was closed and our reservation wasn't even canceled. A phone call would probably have been the least. We have lost the desire to ever visit the restaurant.

We had a bachelor party at the Saloon Steakhouse in Hamburg and it was just perfect! The service was outstanding and the staff responded very well to our customer requests. We were a group of 12 people and everything went smoothly. The tomahawk steak was cooked absolutely perfectly, as were the beef tenderloins and rib eye steaks our group ordered. The drinks were also excellent and served with great friendliness. Particularly noteworthy is the excellent price-performance ratio. The quality of the food and drinks was of the highest standard, and at very fair prices. Thank you for this unforgettable evening – we will definitely be back!

We had a Tomahawk steak for two and my expectations were fulfilled as it was right cooked and nicely presented .It was delicious at a fair price. The service was very polite and helpful with our questions. The ambience was ok it's close to the train station. By good weather, you can sit outside although the traffic is a little bit disturbing. In summary, it was a great experience that I would be eager to try again.

Der Service war langsam und unaufmerksam. Unsere Bestellung wurde lange ignoriert obwohl in dem Restaurant Kaum etwas los war. Desweiteren wurden Getränke und essen nur schnell und unhöflich abgestellt und der Kellner ist schnellstmöglich möglich weggelaufen und ist somit einer Nachfrage nach Ketchup aus dem Weg gegangen. Das Essen war gut, der Service unterirdisch.

We are absolutely thrilled 😍 We were quickly welcomed by a cheerful person on Saturday evening around 10.30 p.m. The candle was lit and we were asked if we would like a blanket to hang around our necks 🤗 Drinks and food were ordered and less than 4 minutes later the Hefeweizen were brought. The crisp, fresh salad was followed a short time later by the main menu on preheated plates and bowls. The steaks are medium and tender, as you couldn't wish for better. The fries are firm and slightly crispy, not over-salted, simply delicious ☺️ Salt and pepper - the pepper in a mill, which is not always the case. The super nice, male waitress wanted to know what we were doing in Hamburg and how long we would be here. Excursion with overnight stay and birthday celebration. My girlfriend's birthday was on Sunday. He responded promptly and said we would like to please remain seated. Closing time is actually midnight. The highlight came at midnight in the form of a birthday serenade from everyone!! Staff, as a surprise there were the little treats - decorated with dry ice and sparklers - which are offered as dessert 🥳🤩 World class! 😘 Fantastic 🥰 best food 😍 great staff to love 🤗 lots of laughs and fun 😅 Good, central location. Of course you notice some of the traffic, but it is limited. The decoration at its finest, great attention to detail. Very cozy inside, almost like being in your own living room. Danesh was amazing at looking after us, when we came for dinner on our trip to Hamburg. The steak was very tasty, and we'd recommend the spinach and the sides. Comfortable chairs, nice atmosphere, good food and great service, what's not to like!! Also, we were treated to a special cocktail to finish, amazing.

It was fried twice and still wasn't even medium well. As a steak lover, I can't recommend this restaurant more!

Das Essen und die Getränkeauswahl ist sehr gut, das Ambiente sehr schön. Beim letzten Mal hatten wir (2 Personen) allerdings einen Tisch für 2 Std. reserviert (17:15 Uhr Start) und wurden bereits begrüßt, dass der Tisch nur bis 18:30 frei ist. Das war okay für uns, aber als wir um 17:45 trotz mehrmaligen (für uns unangenehm) Rufen nicht gehört wurden und nichtmal Getränke bestellt hatten, sind wir dann tatsächlich gegangen, was auf Unverständnis ohne jegliche Entschuldigung stieß. Allerdings wurden zuvor schon Gäste bedient, die definitiv nach uns kamen. Vielleicht gab es Gründe, warum es an diesem Abend so mies im Service lief, aber wie haben uns nicht wohlgefühlt und kommen erstmal nicht wieder. Schade!

Nun, ich habe hier bereits einen Beitrag mit Besuchern gefunden denen es auch so ging wie uns , schlechte Platzwahl trotz Reservierung und ein unmöglicher Kellner. Die K~*in war o.K. Ich wäre am liebsten auch wieder gegangen. Da ich jedoch eingeladen hatte, habe ich bis zum Ende ausgeharrt und muß sagen es war grausam. Die French Fries verdienen grade noch die Bezeichnung Pommes. Nicht kross außen und zart innen, nein labberig. Im gemischten Vorspeiseteller halbierte Scampi über den Punkt. Ein Porterhouse Steak "dry aged" hätte mehr Abschnitt an den Kanten vertragen. So war es an den Enden natürlich hart. Der Gargrad sollte "À point" sein also rosa. Dies erreicht man in dem man das Fleisch überall, wenn das Fleisch ab einem bestimmten Zeitpunkt auf den Knochen stellt. Auf meine bitte das geschnittene Fleisch doch dann noch am Knochen liegen zu lassen, wurde mit dem kompletten Aufschnitt und verteilen auf unsere Teller erledigt. Auf Wunsch nach einem kleinen Bier wurde am Anfang ein großes gereicht. Man war bemüht das Steak am Tisch zu flambieren und zerteilen, da dies jedoch hinter dem Rücken meines Gastes passierte und nicht neben unserem Tisch , hatte ich das Gefühl das war nur eine Show für den Rest der Gäste. Schaut her wir machen außer Hamburger machen wir auch so etwas. Das war eher peinlich. Wie gesagt, ich habe mich hinterher bei meinem Gast entschuldigt. Den ich wollte den Abend nicht durch laut werden meinerseits noch mehr ruinieren. Ach so, ich befürchte für mein Sodbrennen war wohl die so genannte Trüffelmayo verantwortlich. Und die Musik mit DJ ab 20°° ist gewöhnungsbedürftig ( geschmackssache )

Great food and just extremely nice people

Am Donnerstag den 14.03.2024 gegen 20:30 wollten wir zu zweit im Saloon etwas Essen gehen. Das Restaurant war wenig besucht, insgesamt 4 Tische besetzt. Der Ober wollte uns einen Tisch geben, der direkt am Tresen war, der war uns aber zu eng und ungemütlich. Ich fragte nach einem besseren Tisch und so gab er uns einen Tisch am Fenster, etwas beengt zwischen zwei anderen Tischen. Nach 5 Minuten kam er mit der Karte – danach nie mehr. In der Zwischenzeit betraten 2 andere Personen das Restaurant, denen ein deutlich besserer Tisch zugewiesen wurde. Kaum das sie sassen, wurde ihnen die Karte gebracht und kurze Zeit später nahm man die Bestellung auf. Nach weiteren 10 Minuten der Missachtung sind wir dann gegangen. Ich bin aus dem Alter raus, wo ich die Qualität eines Restaurants an der Unfreundlichkeit des Services festmache. Hier jedenfalls werde ich nie wieder meinen Fuss hineinsetzen.

Not the cheapest, you get what you pay for. My rating says it all fantastic food, fantastic service brilliant atmosphere made so by the staff, next time I'm in altona hamburg I will be going again.

It was our first visit there. I don't think I need to say much about the price since the restaurant is already listed as expensive on Google. We paid around 130€ for 2 people. But we also had a starter, main course and dessert and 2 drinks each. Despite the prices, the restaurant was fully booked, so spontaneous guests even had to be turned away. Luckily we had reserved a few hours in advance. The food was really great. We have nothing wrong with that. The staff was very friendly. And I immediately noticed the familiar atmosphere with the regular customers. For me, these are already a positive sign for a restaurant. The ambience is beautifully rustic, as I expect in a steakhouse. I particularly liked the presentation of some of the dishes. For example, at the neighboring table we were able to watch the live flambéing of meat. And my wife's tiramisu wasn't just left there, but rather garnished right in front of her.

We came from Hanover and spontaneously decided to eat here. That was really the best decision. We would make the journey again just for the food. Really delicious and also the friendliest service we have ever experienced.

Initially, I was sympathetic and spoke with the manager, who explained the kitchen was short-staffed and promised our meal would start soon. However, we waited another 45 minutes for service to begin and an additional 30 minutes just for our drinks. When we decided we could no longer wait for our meals, I requested to speak with the manager. The server fetched him from the basement, and it was clear he lacked leadership qualities. Instead of apologizing or offering solutions, he made excuses for the delays and poor service. His response was not only inadequate but also rude. As I refused to pay for the abysmal service and left, the manager followed me outside, yelling in German, which I do not understand. His behavior was unprofessional and inappropriate. Despite the restaurant's excellent location and ambiance, I cannot recommend dining here, even if the food were free. The only memory I have of the evening is staring at an empty glass for the first hour.

Unfortunately, the reservation for 25 people to eat was poorly planned, some of them were seated back to back. The service staff was friendly but totally overwhelmed. Drinks take too long, no request for further orders, this only after repeated requests.... The food was average and unfortunately a bit overpriced. Sometimes something was missing completely or was delivered too late. A DJ playing entertainment was next to impossible. Just too loud for a restaurant. Unfortunately not satisfactory for an invoice amount of over €1000.

Hier kann man hervorragend essen und dabei in einer schönen Atmosphäre bewirtet werden. Der Gastgeber ist mit Witz und Elan am Tisch und hat gute Tipps zu Getränken und Essen.

Service unterirdisch. Besteck nicht eingedeckt, Beilage vergessen, Fleisch lauwarm und zäh. Bestellung wurde auch erst nach 35 Min aufgenommen. Bedienung läuft 4x vorbei ohne dass sie einen bemerkt. Wenn man Spitzenpreisd aufruft, sollte man auch Spitzenpersonal und perfektes Essen haben. Ärgerlich, da es die Einladung für einen Geschäftspartner war, selten so blamiert …

Mega friendly service, which was unfortunately a bit understaffed and so we had to remember almost everything: beer, water, every side dish. The atmosphere is super cool, the toilets are clean and everything is really tastefully decorated in Western USA style. Unfortunately the food didn't convince us, the first ribeye was a rump steak and unfortunately cold. On the second attempt there was a delicious pepper sauce on it, but it wasn't ordered. The salad with walnuts and pomegranate seeds was ok, but without finesse. There was no bread. But you could definitely have ordered it. Side dishes apparently have to be ordered individually, so there was no herb butter or anything like that. with the steak. We probably had a bad day... but that's why we only gave it 4 stars. It was also a bit expensive.
