Very stylish restaurant with excellent food 👍👍👍

I made a reservation for Saturday evening quite simply using the app a week in advance. We had various steaks, all of which were perfectly cooked, as requested. The food was very tasty, the service was friendly, the ambience was generally very cool - more western style and in my opinion very suitable for a steak restaurant - but the music and the bright lights didn't fit with the rest of the ambience. There was relatively loud pop music playing and the lights were just too bright for a restaurant. This is my very subjective opinion and I think that it doesn't bother many people - the store was also well attended. I really liked the details on the walls and the high-quality tables and would generally come again, but the music and lighting dampened my otherwise positive experience. Price-wise it was ok. I've eaten similarly good steak in nicer restaurants for less money. We paid around €180 for three dishes, a starter, water and wine.

We had a great evening! The service is very friendly and the meat quality is top! The waiter gave us very good advice and special requests were no problem at all. We would love to come back :)

Great steaks, highly recommended!

We've been to Garrison several times and it's always been a pleasure! The meat is of excellent quality - both the tomahawk steak and the rib-eye on the bone were cooked to perfection 10/10! The taco variations were also a pleasant surprise! Overall, an all-round great experience - definitely one of the best steakhouses in Hamburg, especially in terms of price-performance.

We waited 45 minutes for our drinks. After several requests, the food only came after 1.5 hours. We ordered beef carpaccio, by far the worst we have eaten to date. The meat was in an oil soup. Our steak was totally seasoned and so were our beef ribs. The staff didn't even check whether everything was okay and didn't take any care of us. Card payment was also not possible. I don't recommend the store at all!!

We became aware of the Garrison in Hamburg thanks to an advertising video on Instagram by scartaste_hamburg. We thought, wow, we really want to go there and try it out. First of all, I really enjoy eating out, even in very good exclusive restaurants, and I now know what's good and what's bad. How did you go to this restaurant with very high expectations? But unfortunately we were disappointed. For me/us personally it was a total failure. We used the beef ribs and it didn't look like the video and had nothing to do with barbecue ribs. The beef ribs were pure fat/fat lumps/pieces it was very unpleasant and even after complaining we got a new portion and it was still pure fat. We paid a lot of money and I could have spent that money somewhere else, if I'm honest, I hadn't tested the citizens, but my friend had ordered a burger, but he only ate half of it. My personal opinion: Not recommended, I'd rather go to Montgomerys Champs and at least get what was promised! Because it has nothing to do with barbecue and the like promised in the videos!

The food is great, but unfortunately the service is a disaster, it's not to be expected that a restaurant like this offers such poor service. The starter was brought incorrectly, no serving or cutlery was brought at the beginning. The table was unclean. Food was brought late. Sauces were forgotten. The only good thing about it was that the food was delicious but other than that you can't enjoy a good and comfortable time there.

Much appearance than reality! I have to say, unfortunately there is little positive. 1) A smoking waiter right in front of the door - a no go 2) Table reserved at 5:00 p.m., arrived early. Words from the staff, it's a good thing we got there earlier, our table was already occupied again at 6:30 p.m.! 3) The operation went like this, some understanding problems 4) At a restaurant that calls itself a “steakhouse,” expect to get steakhouse fries, not fries that look like Mecces 5) Ambiance was okay, quite cramped and relatively loud music!

The name reminds me of the famous cartoon character "South Park". Mr. Garrison, an elementary school teacher from South Park. We ate here on a cold Sunday in January. Good food and very friendly waitress. Approved

I recently had the opportunity to eat at Garrisson and I would like to share my experience. The avocado burger I ordered was really delicious! Juicy, well seasoned and perfectly prepared – I can only recommend it. Unfortunately, the service wasn't quite as pleasant. The waitress seemed unfriendly and uninterested, which somewhat spoiled the entire experience. It's a shame because friendly service can make a big difference. Overall the food was great, but I hope the staff puts a little more emphasis on friendliness in the future. I would give the restaurant a second chance, hoping the service is better next time.

Finally a restaurant that I really enjoy reviewing. We spontaneously had the idea of ​​eating there. Shortly before closing time. We called and the boss said sure, come over. The atmosphere is very cozy and authentic. The staff is attentive and friendly. You have high expectations of yourself and the customer is pampered. The food is a clear 10 out of 10. The food was very tasty. But unfortunately the service was very inattentive even though there wasn't much going on. That was a real shame.

Exceptionally good meat, extremely attentive service, perfect advice from the grill master, cozy tables. Only the lighting could be a little easier on the eyes. It was a bit too bright. Otherwise we felt very comfortable. The drinks in terms of preparation and taste could compete with any good cocktail bar, the steak was perfectly fried and medium-rare, the side dishes were fresh and tasted perfect. And all at a reasonable price. This restaurant deserves success and is a great alternative to well-known steakhouse chains here in Hamburg! I'm already looking forward to the next time. My daughter chose this restaurant for both of us when we were in Hamburg for a handball game. We were both absolutely thrilled. Cozy, bright atmosphere, super friendly and attentive service and really great food (we both had steaks). Meat was perfectly fried, more tasty and the side dishes were also fresh. I also thought it was great that after the starter we were asked whether we wanted to take a break or continue straight with the main course. This is really (unfortunately) rare - you are often cared for like on an assembly line. The burgers and “steak sandwiches” (I forgot what they were called) also looked great. Desert (cheese cake) was also great. We both can only recommend the steakhouse and have it firmly on the list when we are in HH again.

A table was reserved for 9 people the day before, the food came very quickly for 9 people and was super tasty. The staff was very friendly and had a good-looking bartender, and at the end there was a round on the house

We didn't have a reservation and were immediately told that there was no space available without checking. Afterwards it was said that there was only one place available. Shortly afterwards, another couple came in without a reservation and were immediately seated. It seems as if certain people are being favored here. You can't complain about the quality of the meat. But nothing special in terms of taste, including the steak/fillet. From the herb butter to the spinach, the fries or bruschetta, everything tasted completely different. Really not appropriate for the price. Service is extremely slow and not attentive, so it was just plain wine. It also quickly becomes very noisy in the store and the tables are crowded. I find the store very overrated in comparison.

Very great restaurant and even though we hadn't made a reservation (New Year's Eve), they tried to accommodate us. After we had our place, we were able to convince ourselves of the good cuisine. Absolutely delicious and highly recommended. We will definitely eat there again on our next visit to Hamburg.

We were there for the first time. People were nice! The shop and the toilets are great. Food was super tasty, absolute praise! Points of criticism: There were fruit flies at the table and sitting there at 7 p.m. and there were individual dishes no longer on the menu or dessert menu for a New Year's Eve menu? We chose this restaurant for a 50th birthday party with a group of men. We ended up here because of the good reviews. After we got our seat, we had to wait quite a long time for a drink order (we received drinks after 40 minutes). After the drinks came to the table, we ordered our food. I had the beef tartare and I have to say that it was the best beef tartare I have ever eaten. The accompanying salad was also sensationally delicious. The dry aged rump steak for €52 was a bit careless on the plate but cooked to perfection (I would have also liked a little more herb butter). In this price range I expect a little more service, but the food was very good.

It tasted good and we were satisfied, but the idea was a bit bigger. Ambience good so far, could be a little less cramped, but it was quite full and therefore understandable that they want to make the best possible use of their space. I will definitely go back and try something else.

We were here for the first time 2 years ago and loved it! Perfect food, super friendly service and an overall great mood and atmosphere in the restaurant. This year the food was still great, but unfortunately the surrounding area has deteriorated, which is why I now have to adjust my 5-star rating: There were up to 9 employees running around and yet no one seemed to be really responsible for our table. The employees all seemed to be arguing with each other (?). When you came in you first stood in front of a table where there was pure chaos and under which two children were sleeping. The side salads were missing, when asked, 2 out of 3 came. And when asked again, the 3rd came at some point. etc... Overall, as I said, the food was perfect! Super tasty! But everything around it didn't feel good. We wouldn't come back for now and hope that things will get better in the future :)

The ambience was nice, but we found the music to be much too loud; conversations at the table became quite tiring because of the music. The meat was consistently good, unfortunately one fillet came to the table rare rather than medium. The subsequent cooking took about 10 minutes - far too long! The service was inattentive and unprofessional. To order drinks you had to wave awkwardly because the staff didn't ask on their own initiative despite the empty glasses. The coleslaw was average, the BBQ sauce wasn't tasty and the garlic bread is ridiculously small and therefore overpriced. But the fries and the truffle mayonnaise were good. Overall, no reason to return. It was too noisy, the service is below average, the food is mediocre and the prices are above average.

Were there for the second time and twice the meat arrived wrong, then one had to wait for the other and the food got cold until the other one arrived correctly. I really can't recommend it, unfortunately, it looks nice and everything, but for the money I'd rather go somewhere else.

It was a permission that you can't forget to handle everything. The food is wonderful. The service is very nice and the restaurant is very recommendable. The location is also very good. Eating I said it was a permission, we were 4 adults and 1 child 6 years old, and 12 year olds, we had soup, starter, main course steak, chicken, hamburger, total main courses are 13 dishes, 2 starters, a soup, 6 cola, garlic bread and 1 Desserts. Everything was great and tasted very, very good. The best thing is 1000g beef ribs. The best thing is that the bones come out on their own without any problems. The meat was very soft and melted on the tongue. I never thought something like that existed. Thank you for this permission, you definitely have to try it to get permission and to find out what I'm telling you. This restaurant is recommended. Prices range from medium to expensive as is, But at the moment money doesn't matter because it was a very nice permission and an experience that gives something like that. First time there, unfortunately disappointed. Until the cards were brought, the drinks, the food, everything took a long time. Staff very inattentive, always had to call and further drink orders were forgotten. Steak sandwich was cold and the BBQ sauce on it was so intense/artificially sweet that you couldn't taste anything else, potato was hard, carpaccio was swimming in oil. Far too expensive for that.

Incredibly delicious food at absolutely fair prices! Very nice staff too. We will definitely come back on our next trip to Hamburg! Thanks for the lovely evening!

Finally a steakhouse that understands what a steak should be like. Absolutely delicious, everything as requested. But these 5 stars are for the service staff. So super friendly and respectful - how nice it would be if more restaurants had employees like them. The prices are a little high, but for this service and the food - completely justified!

We were really looking forward to our visit to the Garrison Steakhouse, especially since we were looking for a Helal Steakhouse in Hamburg. Unfortunately we were disappointed at the entrance. The waitress gave us an appraising look before we even had a chance to introduce ourselves. When we kindly pointed out our reservation to her, she reacted annoyed and reluctantly took us to an unattractive table, even though there were significantly better seats available. Her behavior remained the same throughout the evening: instead of paying attention to the service, she kept staring at us with an annoyed expression on her face, even from a distance while she was standing at the bar. This unfriendly behavior made the stay unpleasant from the start. The rest of the experience was also disappointing: long waits, a cold and inedible steak, incorrect accompaniments that were only corrected after the meal, and an overwhelmed young waiter who at least tried to be friendly. When paying we had to wait over 20 minutes for the bill and ask several times. After this experience we lost all appetite for dessert. The evening was a huge disappointment and we cannot recommend this restaurant at all.

The food was ok, we had the dry aged rib-eye (ordered medium, got medium rare 👎) and the skirt steak (ordered medium, some parts were rare and the meat was toe 🫣). The fries were delicious, the fried potatoes were less tasty). The Caipirinha wasn't the Caipirinha you're used to, maybe the bartender should take the recipe for a Caipi to heart. Service: Initially friendly service when assigning tables, but after that the waiting times to order were forever and the food and drinks took a long time to arrive after ordering (with only 2 people!) - even though the restaurant was not very busy at 4:30 p.m. A re-ordered drink never arrived, nor did the request for the bill and we had to find our way to the cash register ourselves to pay a waitress: >€100!! For two people is too much for the mediocre food+drinks and poor service! at Blockhouse is significantly tastier and cheaper in comparison (price-performance). Garrison Steakhouse: there is a lot of room for improvement to attract repeat customers!!

I've eaten there several times and have to say: What a great restaurant! The fillet steak was super tasty, and the “show” of where the meat is set on fire was also a great attraction. The waiter Mr. Chopra in particular was super personable! All in all the service & food were TOP. The burger with mushrooms is also highly recommended!

It was simply outstanding. We were there for the first time today and were simply thrilled. Yes, it may be a little more expensive, but when you consider how generous the portions are and that the food is of the highest quality, there is absolutely no reason to complain. The steak and burger were world class. For dessert there was homemade tiramisu. A huge tower with a really great cream around it. It simply tasted wonderful and was actually almost impossible for one person to make. The service was very nice and attentive. All we can say is that you can't even begin to describe how great this experience was. You just have to experience it and enjoy it. We'll definitely be back. And that will definitely happen many more times. 😀😋

From the front table to the Staek meal 90 minutes. A waiting time that was far too long - the order was placed correctly in the bill completely different Staeks calculated - the second garlic bread was reordered immediately when the Staek was served - came when the three of us wanted to pay for our food - the garlic bread let it go back - I also said that if a restaurant tester comes by here then there will be a dramatic verdict in the restaurant '!

If you eat here, you should eat the large steak for several people! All other dishes are good, but you can also get them in other restaurants. Unfortunately, the service wasn't that attentive on our day, so we had to wait a good 30 minutes for drinks. Our bruschetta had already been on the table for 10 minutes. But it is still recommended. There were five of us and we were warmly welcomed from the start. The reception was professional, attentive and made us immediately feel that hospitality is very important here. The service was consistently first class. The service staff was not only always present, but also extremely attentive and committed, without ever seeming intrusive. Our wishes were promptly fulfilled, and individual requests - from adjustments to the food to special requests for drinks - were implemented with a smile and with great ease. Here you can tell that the team knows their craft and is passionate about what they do. The ambience of the restaurant is elegant and stylish. It creates a perfect balance between an upscale atmosphere and a feel-good character. The attention to detail in the furnishings is also reflected in the presentation of the food. The dishes were not only a visual highlight, but also an absolute pleasure in terms of taste. The meat - especially the steaks - was cooked to perfection, of excellent quality and demonstrated high culinary standards. The side dishes and desserts were also excellently coordinated and rounded off the overall picture. The consistently positive behavior of the entire team was particularly impressive. Friendliness, professionalism and a genuine effort to provide each guest with an unforgettable experience made our evening special. The Garrison Steakhouse is without question worth a 100% recommendation. We felt completely at home and are sure: we will definitely come back here. It was a very pleasant place with nice decoration, nice waiters and a great selection of steaks and burgers. The guacamole left something to be desired but the herb butter was delicious. All in all, worth a visit

Good morning. Actually, I'm not the type of person who writes reviews, but in this case I couldn't do anything else. I actually just want to comment on the service, because I think opinions on the food and ambience can vary greatly based on personal preferences. Now to the service...I am extremely disappointed! If you look at the restaurant on Google and see the prices, you assume that you can expect something there. Unfortunately, we then found that the service didn't want to do his job. It can happen that with a larger group, the meal can take longer or something can be misunderstood. But if, after ordering drinks for the first time, you are yelled at who owns the drink (which, by the way, no one ordered) and the waiter later meekly admits that it was his mistake, that's not possible. By the way, the first drinks only came after about an hour. And so it went on. We went home the evening with a maximum of 2-3 drinks because there was simply no more. We sometimes asked up to 7 times (at reasonable intervals) where our drinks were. And when we then tell you what is still missing and everything is listed WRONG when repeating it, you knew that nothing could happen. And as it happened, in the end we were billed for more than what arrived at our table. We therefore left our Christmas party at around 9:30 p.m., which had only started at 7 p.m. What a shame! Therefore I cannot recommend the location to anyone.

The waitress had to ask several times who had ordered what because she couldn't remember the order or write anything down. In the end we were overcharged for 3 beers and a bruscetta. Food was OK. Music much to loud. Service nearly unavailable, confused, uncoordinated. We had to wait 45 min to get our drinks and it took even longer to get some food. Never had a worse service in such small place. It‘s not worth to tell people to go there.

Essen gut aber Bedienung unterirdisch, frech, unfreundlich und unaufmerksam. Bis zum ersten Getränk is 1 Stunde vergangen bei der Abrechnung wurde mehr berechnet als bestellt wurde. Bestellte Dinge wurden nicht oder zu spät gebracht Saucen wenn das Essen schon aufgegessen war trotz mehrmaligen Nachfragen.

Very tasty food with lots of extras and ideas. It's very exciting to try the combinations. Just try it out and treat yourself to an evening. But reservation is mandatory.

It's great that there is halal meat. Cutting the necks of animals, letting them bleed out and still most likely factory farming. It is also imported because shafting is prohibited in Germany. What more could you want? The main thing is halal brother!

Honestly, more appearance than reality. The steak (medium rare) was almost still breathing. Staff extremely unprofessional. Forgotten drinks, waited 15 minutes even though the food was already there, meaning the food got cold. To pay one waitress told the other to pay because the first one forgot and just didn't come. It really is definitely not recommended! From start to finish the service was an absolute disaster, the main waiter made fun of us and said we don't give napkins here. Instead we were given dirty cloth napkins with stains. In addition, the fries were absolutely raw and didn't taste good, there was far too little sauce in the salad and the waiters were so overwhelmed that they needed more than an hour for a side dish (even after the 4th reminder). All in all, catastrophic service, NEVER AGAIN
