The Olive Tree Eckernförde in Eckernförde

Ich hatte eine durchgenässte Servierte in meinem Salat. Hier gehe ich nie wieder hin.

Als Auftakt für den Tag in Eckernförde haben wir dieses Restaurant rausgesuchte und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Das Ambiente ist super gemütlich eingerichtet worden und man kann sich nur wohl fühlen. Wir hatten das Deluxe Frühstück für 2 und dazu durfte ein Gläschen Cremant und ein Latte Macchiato nicht fehlen. Man merkt die Qualität der Zutaten und auch die Liebe bei der Zubereitung. Wurden super nett empfangen und bedient. Eine Reservierung ist auf jedenfall sinnvoll und wieder kommen auch. ;-)

Ein nettes Lokal zum Mittagessen, das Essen war für den Preis von guter Qualität. Die Lage ist gut und zentral.

Wir haben uns hier beim Frühstück sehr wohl und herzlich willkommen gefühlt 😊 Der junge Mann vom Service war gut gelaunt und sehr aufmerksam. So macht das Spaß 😁 Besuch war im September 2025.

Die Platte für zwei war super frisch, liebevoll angerichtet und unglaublich lecker. Dazu ein sehr freundlicher Service und eine gemütliche Atmosphäre – wir kommen gerne wieder! 🫒

Absolut 5 Sterne wert! Ein modernes schönes kleines Restaurant in Mitten der Innenstadt von Eckernförde. Es gibt eine kleine Terrasse und eine übersichtliche, hochwertige Speisekarte. Der Service ist außerordentlich. Das Restaurant ist wirklich schön eingerichtet und der Inhaber ist selbst vor Ort. Ich fühlte mich wohl empfangen und klasse bedient. Eine absolute Empfehlung, wenn jemand hochwertig und stilvoll essen möchte, ohne in lauten vollen Restaurants sitzen zu müssen.

Naja, bin mit hohen Erwartungen gekommen aufgrund der Bewertungen im Netz. Das Essen war auch okay und der Service wirklich nett, mehr aber auch nicht. Die Portionen sind für den Preis wirklich winzig. Der Inhalt Garnelenpfanne passt in eine größere Tasse und sah jetzt auch nicht atemberaubend aus und die Genussplatte ist von der Größe eines Frühstücksbrettchens. Im Vergleich dazu erhält man für den gleichen Preis auf einer Skihütte eine umfassende Aufschnittplatte. Es ist zu empfehlen, vorher zu reservieren.

Super netter, unaufdringlicher Service und unkomplizierter Erfüllung unserer Sonderwünsche. Sehr leckeres Essen und gute Getränke. Immer wieder gern beim Besuch von Eckernförde. Gechillte Atmosphäre bei coolem Jazz.

Obwohl die Spaghetti nicht mehr auf der Speisekarte sind, haben wir welche bekommen (waren hier bei Google angepriesen worden). Vielen Dank, auch meine Bowle war sehr lecker. Und die Apfelschorle in Bio Qualität war auch top!

Ich war heute zum ersten Mal mit meinen Freundinnen im The Olive Tree in Eckernförde. Wir hatten eine richtig tolle Zeit, das Ambiente ist total nett, das Essen war super lecker und der Service total freundlich und humorvoll. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Ich war schon ein paar mal mit einer Freundin hier Essen. Es ist immer so nett dort. Das Essen ist superlecker, das Personal sehr nett und das Ambiente sehr gemütlich. Meine Freundin und ich freuen uns schon aufs nächste Mal!!!

I was unfortunately disappointed by the Olive Tree in Eckernförde. The burger I ordered was of poor quality, and instead of fries, they served chips in a plastic bag 😂🥶🤮. At around €20 including drinks, the price-performance ratio is, in my opinion, not justified. Despite the good reviews, I absolutely cannot recommend this restaurant.

We were here several times between October 10th and 13th! The food is delicious, the service is good, and the espresso is tasty. So, everything was excellent. We'll be back when we're in Eckernförde again!

We had two bowls and the dip platter. Everything was freshly prepared and incredibly delicious. We followed it up with a cappuccino with a homemade brownie instead of a plastic-wrapped biscuit. Friendly service and good value for money. Top!

A modernly furnished restaurant with friendly staff and good food. We were there with a group of nine. The table was reserved, and we opted for meze. With several different platters and bread, everyone was full and satisfied. The restaurant is incredibly cozy thanks to its decor, and the lighting is mesmerizing. I could have sat there forever.

The breakfast (vegan) was delicious and the espresso excellent.

🌿 The Olive Tree – Eckernförde 🌿 An olive tree has taken root in Eckernförde – and fortunately it has taken all the good culinary art from Southern Europe with it. The food was a pure pleasure, full of taste and love for the kitchen. The plates undoubtedly deserve five stars. On the other hand, the branches creaked a little in the service. We came in soaking wet after the ravages of the rain and were immediately referred to “the one on her knees over there” – who turned out to be a mute waiter. A simple smile would have worked wonders and suited the house’s otherwise beautiful olive tree better. So – the food: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The service: ⭐⭐ The overall experience: ⭐⭐⭐ If only a little Southern European warmth and hospitality had hung on the branches, happiness would have been complete. 🌿✨

We were there during a break in the Green Screen Festival and were served quickly and courteously and were served two delicious bowls.

A small café/restaurant in the pedestrian zone. Perfect for lovers of Mediterranean cuisine who appreciate a tasty snack and a good wine. A great team and a very friendly chef. We've been there for the third year and love the restaurant. We left today with a tear in our eye again – our vacation is over. We'll be back.

The food was incredibly delicious. Everything tasted fresh, and the preparation time was pleasant. The child's meal was delivered first, which we really appreciated. The outdoor ambiance with the beach chairs is truly idyllic. However, the platter for two people could have been a bit more expensive at €45. Prices in general are unfortunately far too high in Eckernförde. Larger cities like Flensburg, for example, are still somewhat more affordable despite the high tourist traffic. The service was particularly noteworthy. Super attentive and cheerful. Unfortunately, that's no longer a given in restaurants these days.

We visited the Olive Tree twice during our week-long stay in Eckernförde. Great concept, excellent food, friendly service, and reasonable prices. Absolute discovery: The Olive Tree cocktail with Wostiok Tannenwald lemonade. Absolutely delicious!

Went there for breakfast. A quick glance at the menu was sobering, as it didn't sound particularly spectacular at first glance – "slice of bread with a side dish"). What a misjudgment! Super fresh, plentiful, and everything (there were six of us and we tried a lot of things) was extremely delicious! And the staff was extremely friendly. I wouldn't have expected that in Eckernförde! Update August 2025 – still delicious and nice. But unfortunately, the menu is smaller, and the delicious dark sourdough bread was replaced with smaller slices of toasted, lighter bread. It was also tasty, but absolutely not comparable. The value for money wasn't as great, either; the deluxe breakfast for two wasn't that impressive at €42. I'll stick with the 5 stars, but only because last year was so great (and I would have given it 4 this year). My clear recommendation – go back to 2024 with the offer!

Disgusting! I had a soggy napkin in the bottom of my salad. That's how my salad was served! I have no idea how fresh the food is, but the napkin was so soggy that I doubt the food is fresh. I'll never go here again!

A few days ago, I spontaneously visited the Olive Tree in Eckernförde for the first time – and was completely thrilled! The service was super friendly, pleasantly relaxed, and yet absolutely authentic. There was no hint of fake coolness, just genuine interest and a relaxed atmosphere where you immediately feel at home. The fact that I had my two dogs with me wasn't a problem either. For drinks, we followed the house recommendation and tried a Rosé Crémant – a great choice! For dinner, I had a spring salad, which was a real highlight in terms of flavor: fresh, sophisticated, and with an unusual but perfectly balanced dressing of basil and mint pesto and mango chutney. Everything arrived surprisingly quickly and was clearly fresh and homemade. The whole experience reminded me strongly of Australia – of the lightness and quality you find in places like Melbourne. A real tip in Eckernförde – I'd definitely come back!

Four of us ate there. None of us were full, and I have a different idea of vegetables with teriyaki sauce. I was expecting a large portion of nicely roasted vegetables with a little teriyaki sauce, but what I got was a tiny bit of bell pepper drowned in far too much sauce, making it very salty and smoky. The ratio and quantity just weren't right. My father got a delicious burger, but instead of fries, he got a small bag of chips with no dip. For the price, we expected something different.

Great restaurant, friendly service, delicious and healthy food. We spontaneously got a table for two and then treated ourselves to the soup of the day. Very tasty pumpkin soup. Afterwards there was a bowl and the dip plate with bread. Everything was nicely prepared, the bread with the soup was nice and fluffy. Dogs are also allowed. The online menu doesn't seem to be up to date, I had already chosen a bowl that wasn't even on the menu. Highly recommended. If you want to eat with several people, you should make a reservation.

I was in this restaurant once. On the one hand, the food, I ordered a punch, is delicious. On the other hand, the staff could be a little more interested in serving you. When I was there with someone and the waitress served us our food, she chewed something, not chewing gum. This really shouldn't be the case. The staff also have breaks or not? It really wasn't nice to see. Even when we came in, the same waitress didn't even smile at us. Just no reaction at all. We greeted them warmly and not even a hello came back. If you work in the catering industry, isn't that part of it? Or is it a rarity these days? The atmosphere is not exactly new, but it is well maintained and clean. However, in my opinion The Olive Tree is a place for sitting together with wine or other drinks and not just for eating.

From now on it will be my favorite place to have breakfast. Sitting in the sun and enjoying a really great breakfast is really fun. The food is always something special. The components are well selected and beautifully decorated. The employees are very attentive and in a good mood. I had a vegan breakfast with, among other things, hummus, avocado and freshly baked bread.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Olive Tree Restaurant in Eckernförde and I have to say I am thrilled! The ambience of the restaurant is very pleasant and welcoming, with a relaxed atmosphere and stylish decor. As a vegan, I was very pleased with the large selection of vegan dishes on the menu. I had a hard time deciding because everything sounded so delicious! Finally I decided on a bowl and it was just amazing - full of flavor and so fresh and healthy. But the highlight was definitely the cocktail I ordered. The owner was incredibly experienced and I could tell he was really passionate about creating mixed drinks. I ordered the "Olive Tree Spring" and it was the best drink I've had in a long time. It was so refreshing and full of flavors - I could have spent all day trying these delicious drinks! The owner was also very friendly and attentive, and that made my experience even more enjoyable. Overall, I can only warmly recommend the Olive Tree Restaurant in Eckernförde. If you're looking for delicious vegan dishes and refreshing mixed drinks, be sure to stop by! And again it was a real pleasure to have breakfast at Olive Tree

Everything top - wine, food, espresso, service! THE highlight in Eckernförde.

Discovered it while taking a walk through Eckernförde and, fortunately, was immediately drawn in by its inviting impression. I'm not a bowl fan at all, but I got carried away here and was pleasantly surprised. My girlfriend, who has much more advanced bowl skills, was also thrilled. I thought I might find something to complain about in the dessert, but then the apple crumble cake came to the table warm. Touché Monsieur 🤷 Overall you can only give full marks. If we end up in a corner again, we'll see each other for the next duel 😉

The service was very friendly. We really liked the concept. The only thing that could be improved a bit is the cozy atmosphere. The prices are certainly a bit high for Eckernförde, but the quality of the food is very good.

An absolute culinary and unrivaled enrichment for Eckernförde. We can't remember when we've ever had such delicious salads, absolutely delicious. We're happy to wait a little longer for that ;-)) and will definitely come by again (from Hamburg)....

We recently went here for breakfast with family and friends after a family celebration - and what a great decision! The restaurant is beautifully decorated and exudes a cozy, informal atmosphere. The service was excellent from start to finish - very attentive, friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic! We were particularly excited about the homemade bread and the incredibly delicious chocolate cake that we had for our birthday. The coffee is excellent, the best I drank during my week of travel in Germany. The scrambled eggs were also perfectly prepared. A wonderful place to spend time with family and friends. We'll definitely be back.
