Bistrostegna in Eckernförde

We didn't eat anything here, but the lady serving was very nice and the drinks were well chilled 👍

After switching from another restaurant where we waited over half an hour for service to Bistro Stegna, we were completely satisfied. The service was excellent. Friendly, courteous, and immediately at the table to bring our menus and take our drink orders. The wait for drinks and food was short. The food was excellent. The restrooms were also clean and well-maintained. Completely satisfied! We'd be happy to go back anytime.

Saturday evening, one of the first sunny days of spring, the mood was correspondingly good - so off we went to the Italian restaurant at the harbor in Eckernförde called “Stegna”. Our order was taken quickly, the drinks arrived promptly, and the service was very friendly. Unfortunately, the pierogi advertised on the chalk board was no longer there. The food that came instead - here only in dry words: the pasta was soggy and without any taste of its own, "please very little sauce or preferably the extra sauce" was ordered extra (the waitress later said that she had also specifically told the chef this), the photo shows what came. There was no additional seasoning due to the lack of salt and pepper, and there was no parmesan either. This was particularly disadvantageous for the 10-year-old in our family, who loves eating lasagna and had ordered it. Despite being extremely hungry, he couldn't even finish half of the lasagne because the sheets of dough tasted strangely like some kind of rancid oil, but smelled more like what it smells like when an electric motor is running hot. The third dish was a kind of cutlet with fried potatoes. To make a long story short: the meat was cremated in the edge, but the fried potatoes were good. We also gave feedback to the nice service staff who tried to limit the damage, but unfortunately the chef didn't have time to talk about it. At this beautiful location, established in Eckernförde, we just hope that “whoever had a bad day there” can still get the culinary fix.
