Bistrostegna in Eckernförde

We didn't eat anything here, but the lady serving was very nice and the drinks were well chilled 👍

After switching from another restaurant where we waited over half an hour for service to Bistro Stegna, we were completely satisfied. The service was excellent. Friendly, attentive, and immediately at our table to bring the menus and take our drink orders. Short waiting times for drinks and food. The food was superb. The restroom was also clean and well-maintained. Completely satisfied! We'll definitely be back.

Saturday evening, one of the first sunny spring days, the mood was correspondingly good – so we headed to the Italian restaurant "Stegna" at the Eckernförde harbor. Our order was taken quickly, the drinks arrived promptly, and the service was very friendly. Unfortunately, the pierogi advertised on the chalkboard were no longer available. What arrived instead – in short: the pasta was mushy and completely tasteless. We specifically requested "just a little sauce, please, or preferably the sauce on the side" (the server later said she had also told the chef this). The photo shows what arrived. We couldn't add any more seasoning because there was no salt or pepper, and no Parmesan cheese either. This was particularly disappointing for the 10-year-old in our family, who loves lasagna and had ordered it. Despite being ravenously hungry, he couldn't even finish half the lasagna because the pasta sheets tasted strangely of some kind of rancid oil, while smelling more like an overheated electric motor. The third dish was a sort of cutlet with fried potatoes. To put it simply: the meat was burnt around the edges, but the fried potatoes were good. We gave feedback to the friendly server, who tried to minimize the damage, but unfortunately, the chef didn't have time to discuss it. At this otherwise lovely, well-established location in Eckernförde, we simply hope that "whoever was having a bad day" will manage to turn things around.

A fantastic place, delicious wines and food. Hospitable owners. I will visit Stegna very often. I recommend it.
