We sat right at the counter and could watch the chef prepare the pasta. That was really great. However, there were plexiglass partitions between us and the bar, which created a slightly odd atmosphere. Nevertheless, the food arrived very quickly and was delicious. I can recommend it.

Hello dear Noodlemaker Team, We arrived promptly at 5:30 pm for our reserved table. The open kitchen is a real treat! Live preparation of the noodles and plating of the dishes. Taste: 10/10 The iced tea and fresh tea were also completely homemade! Also 10/10 Service was very quick. The only thing one could complain about is the hustle and bustle and noise when the place is full. All in all, highly recommended! We'll definitely be back!

This is the best ramen I've had in Europe. It's made to order, and the preserved egg and tofu are absolutely delicious. It's flavorful without being overly spicy, but with incredibly rich layers of flavor – the best preserved egg and tofu I've had in Europe. I also ordered the lamb soup noodles. It's not spicy, just numbing. The noodles are very chewy, and the broth is incredibly flavorful. I'll definitely come back next time.

Authentic and very fast and attentive service

It's really so~~~ delicious! You must try the mala ramen! It's a bit spicy, but it's a level of spiciness that Koreans can handle. I had a great time eating it in Europe, where there's really no spicy food.

It's spicy and numbing, just right. It's a perfect match for the Korean palate! I tried Mala Ramen, and it was spicier than Shin Ramyun. The service was also great. The restaurant was bustling with people.

Based on the many positive reviews, we were eager to try this restaurant. Although it was busy, we were quickly seated. The noodles were handmade and delicious! Unfortunately, the food as a whole was nothing special. The meat was tough and dry. Furthermore, something was forgotten in our order, and when I went to take the rest of my order with me, they gave me a plastic container, and I had to transfer the noodle soup myself. A shame.

This is a very good value Chinese noodle restaurant in Frankfurt. It's always crowded. A bowl of steaming hot noodle soup warms you up. The only downside is that the soup tastes different each time. Sometimes it's delicious, sometimes it's just average. The noodles are generous in size, which is a point worth praising.

Some people really have forgotten their roots. Three people went to eat during off-peak hours, but they were not allowed to sit at a table for four. They also lied to us and said they had made a reservation. As a result, the four seats were still empty after they finished eating. When we went to complain, the boss said that when we dine in their restaurant, we should obey their rules and follow the host's wishes. Three people just can't sit at a table for four. It's really arrogant. Some people have made too much money and have forgotten their roots. Aren't they afraid of retribution in the future?

I lived in China for 6 years and the quality of this restaurant is almost as good as you would find in China. I like eating there often. The food comes relatively quickly and the service is good and friendly.

There was nothing wrong with the food, but we, a group of eight, were "asked" to leave the restaurant relatively quickly after dinner because new guests were arriving, even though we still had drinks. If we had been informed beforehand that the table after us would be taken, it wouldn't have been a problem at all. But the way we were practically kicked out was extremely rude, especially since we were told we could stay seated for another 10 minutes to finish our drinks. Then sending the guests to our table, who then became impatient (that was just another insult), and then cursing that it was all because of the "shitty book fair" – warm greetings from our editors and authors group ✌🏻 – really put the final nail in the coffin. No thanks, I don't support that kind of behavior. Regardless of the busyness due to the book fair.

10 stars for how fast the food arrived. We just ordered, I go to the rest room and come back and our food is already there. The fast service was indeed very satisfying. I did not like the fact that we had 3 people in 5 minutes come ask what our order was, at some point it made me very nervous but I understand they are very busy so. However, the person that took care of us was very cheerful, very sweet and humble. Even though it is busy, you can barely tell because once you sit, you don’t face others so bonus points for that actually. Food was very delicious and the menu had a variety of choices. Also the view is and overall atmosphere is very cozy. The place is very clean and well tidy. We will definitely come back again 😊

The handmade noodles are truly delicious. They're not just any old gimmicks, they're expertly stretched to the exact thickness and shape you order in just 30 seconds, then boiled and served right away. I'd actually give it a 5-star rating, but the soup for the noodle soup is the bland kind you often get in Chinese restaurants, so as a Japanese person it's not satisfying. I think the noodles without the soup are very tasty.

Ordered it for delivery based on the good reviews and was absolutely disappointed. A few carelessly thrown-together Asian noodles with barely any vegetables and not even a sauce. Not good value for money...

So, good Chinese cuisine. You can't go wrong.

A terrible experience! We had a reservation, and when we arrived, someone pointed in one direction and called out "there" rather rudely. Our menus were handed out as we walked to our seats at the bar overlooking the outside. When we ordered, the first meal arrived less than two minutes late and included two ingredients that weren't supposed to be in it. Furthermore, everything was swimming in a sauce that wasn't shown in the menu photo. Obviously, everything was pre-cooked and had just been reheated. My meal looked completely different from what it said on the menu. Since the waitress couldn't understand what I was saying, the manager came over. I could barely say anything before he quite aggressively snatched my plate, or rather bowl, away from me. My husband's meal arrived a little later and was cold, with undercooked noodles. There was no apology, no attempt to understand what we were trying to say, and without eating a single bite, we paid the full price and left. We've never been treated so unkindly in a restaurant.

Not much information on allergens on the website, so called beforehand to ask about gluten free options because someone in our party has celiac disease (in German). The person said yes, then immediately hung up the phone. We go there and ask another time at the door, before being seated. Again, we are told there are gluten free options and brought to a table. When they come to take our order, we ask again because the menu is unclear on what the options are. The server tells us she doesn't know and disappears. We try asking 3 other staff members, but it's very busy and they all say they don't know and leave. Finally after 20+ minutes someone explains they only have 1 option of rice noodles and some things would need to be removed from the dish to make it work. Once the food arrived, it was delicious. I doubt the gluten free dish was actually gluten free though, since they served it with bread anyway.

The food at The Noodlemaker is decent and the place has a nice vibe, but the overall experience could be better. The service and treatment from the servers felt a bit unfriendly. A little more politeness and warmth would really make the visit more enjoyable. With improved customer service, this spot could be much better.

I went for dinner on a Sunday evening, convinced by the numerous positive reviews. Alas, I obviously have to evaluate my experience that evening, regardless of whether it was typical or not. My husband and I ordered two identical plates of noodles with egg, mushrooms, and tomato; and three sides: a plate of fried tofu, a plate of spiced bread, and a plate of spicy potatoes; two hot jasmine teas. Everything was also listed on the menu, and we pointed out the serving sizes with our fingers, seeing the waiter's difficulty understanding English. It's strange because they're located near Messe, where there are many tourists, as events are often held there. Given that the menu says "vegan" next to some dishes, but in actual fact, they're vegetarian, I'll explain how the dinner went. In fact, only one plate of noodles arrived, so my husband received the other dish, even though it was identical to mine, halfway through dinner because they'd forgotten about it. Then came the tofu and spiced bread, but there was no sign of potatoes: this time, we didn't insist. Finally, the tea was essentially a cup of tea with the classic tea bag and a few dried flowers, priced at €4.50 each. A bit pricey for what it is. The bill was €48. In theory, he hadn't counted the potatoes when he saw the total, so they probably hadn't even been noted in the order. The experience was therefore not satisfactory, even though the noodles were very fresh, tasty, and light, despite the fairly substantial portion. The tofu, on the other hand, had cilantro, which is often mentioned on menus due to the many people who hate it (myself included), and the bread wasn't great at all. Go just for the noodles—they're good and definitely worth a try—but nothing else, and keep in mind that the "vegan" on the menu isn't vegan.

Our main dishes with noodles were delicious! Out appetizers were tasty but a bit too much cumin.. if less, would be top!

The Noodle Maker is not HELAL We called before our visit to inquire whether the meat at The Noodle Maker in Frankfurt was HELAL. This was confirmed to us over the phone. After we sat down and looked at the menu, I asked again for my wife, just to be sure, since she only eats HELAL. The waitress simply replied, "I think so, I don't know." When we asked to ask the manager, she replied, "The food is not mixed, you can also have lamb." These answers were very confusing and clearly demonstrated that they apparently don't even know what helal means. For a restaurant in Frankfurt that serves meat, it should be a given that both the management and the waiters know exactly what helal means and can provide guests with clear, reliable information. Helal doesn't simply mean "not mixed," but rather that the meat was slaughtered according to Islamic regulations. As for the food: I ordered a beef noodle soup to try. The noodles were good, but the meat was a bit tough. The broth was tasty, but overall, the dish wasn't anything special. Furthermore, the waitress seemed unprofessional – open-toed shoes and unkempt feet are not a good image in a restaurant setting.

I can't understand some of the very good reviews. The only tasty thing was the drinks, but that was it. We spent a lot of money on completely inedible (some of them hard and disgustingly sticky) pasta swimming in a tasteless sauce made of pure oil. We left the food because I was really worried I was going to throw up. I would never go here!

The on-site menu offers more choices than the one on the website. I had pasta with tomato and egg. Pasta had a good texture but was very salty. The prices were reasonable, and the shop was busy...

Horrible food, truly disgusting. It was just noodles floating in a pool of oil. The noodles themselves were already dried out at the edges. All in all, inedible. The drinks were delicious, the atmosphere was like a fast-food restaurant, and the service was mediocre but still okay. I wouldn't recommend it.

My brother lived in China for half a year and ate Lanzhou Lamian almost every day; it's now his favorite dish! He was blown away by the Lanzhou Lamian and ate two portions straight away 😅 I had the vegetarian Majong Lamian, which were also incredibly delicious! Our appetizers (cucumber salad and tofu salad) were also very, very, very good! Especially the spices in the tofu salad! Highly recommended! 100 out of 100 points 💯💯💯

Regular customers update their reviews daily. I recently tried the mutton soup steamed bun. As someone who studied in Xi'an, I can only say that the taste isn't exactly the same as authentic mutton instant noodles, but it's completely unrelated. The noodles are good, authentic! Reliable! Fast! Plenty of meat! The noodles can be a little lumpy sometimes, but that's a good thing! When ordering the thickness, just add the thickness you imagine Lanzhou ramen in China to automatically increase by one. This is the thickness they offer. The cumin mutton fried noodles are amazing! I don't know if the restaurant is good or bad. Everyone has to be bad because of one person in the restaurant. Because I work in Wolt. I went to take an order from there. I waited for 20 minutes. Then when my order was given, I grabbed a candy from there and was called so bad by a person. I can't tell you. You tell me yourself. I deliver the food prepared by you to the customers. What did I do wrong if I grabbed a candy from there? I work hard and don't beg anyone to eat, no matter how cold it is, no matter how hot it is, we deliver orders to customers. I even waited there for 20 minutes, but I was spoken to so badly just for a candy.🥹🥲

A familiar taste. As expected, Lanzhou Ramen is delicious. A culinary feast in Frankfurt.

I ate at the restaurant in question. The server took our order fairly quickly. The food also arrived at our table at a really fast pace! Initially, that was very positive. However, the restaurant apparently serves cold dishes, where the pasta in the sauce is served really cold… unfortunately, it's not our cup of tea, and I think this could be communicated on the menu or by the server beforehand, so that you know what you're getting into and can possibly change your order if you're there for a hot dish! Nevertheless, our food still tasted reasonably good. 15 minutes after leaving the restaurant, however, I immediately regretted eating there. I got severe stomach pain and had to rush home to the bathroom. I was able to relieve myself there at first, but I still feel very sick from the food! Later, I also saw that the restaurant had been reported to the consumer protection agency due to unsanitary conditions. The text I read there finally helps me explain my stomach pain and diarrhea… We'll never eat there again!

Excellent place for freshly made noodles with an open kitchen. The atmosphere is welcoming and clean.

We were previously huge fans of the place. But today, when we ordered the dish with (stir-fried) noodles, a different type of noodle arrived. When we informed the manager about this, we received a silly response, "That's always the case," and we were given a nasty look that was beyond disrespectful and rude!
