Ordered it for delivery based on the good reviews and was absolutely disappointed. A few carelessly thrown-together Asian noodles with barely any vegetables and not even a sauce. Not good value for money...

The handmade noodles are truly delicious. They're not just any old gimmicks, they're expertly stretched to the exact thickness and shape you order in just 30 seconds, then boiled and served right away. I'd actually give it a 5-star rating, but the soup for the noodle soup is the bland kind you often get in Chinese restaurants, so as a Japanese person it's not satisfying. I think the noodles without the soup are very tasty.

A terrible experience! We had a reservation, and when we arrived, someone pointed in one direction and called out "there" rather rudely. Our menus were handed out as we walked to our seats at the bar overlooking the outside. When we ordered, the first meal arrived less than two minutes late and included two ingredients that weren't supposed to be in it. Furthermore, everything was swimming in a sauce that wasn't shown in the menu photo. Obviously, everything was pre-cooked and had just been reheated. My meal looked completely different from what it said on the menu. Since the waitress couldn't understand what I was saying, the manager came over. I could barely say anything before he quite aggressively snatched my plate, or rather bowl, away from me. My husband's meal arrived a little later and was cold, with undercooked noodles. There was no apology, no attempt to understand what we were trying to say, and without eating a single bite, we paid the full price and left. We've never been treated so unkindly in a restaurant.

The noodles are made in front of the customer. A word of advice: get a table inside so you can watch them make it. In addition to being a spectacle, the food is excellent. Go there with your eyes closed. However, it was quite full when we arrived. Plan to make a reservation if there are a lot of you.

The noodles are excellent, as is the broth. They specify whether the dish contains garlic and the spice level. We can even see them preparing the noodles they're going to serve you!

I'm thrilled with the huge selection of delicious dishes. The noodles are handmade, the broth is very hearty, and the seasoning is savory. The atmosphere is lovely, and the service is attentive. It feels like you're in Asia. I'd love to come back 😃

Not much information on allergens on the website, so called beforehand to ask about gluten free options because someone in our party has celiac disease (in German). The person said yes, then immediately hung up the phone. We go there and ask another time at the door, before being seated. Again, we are told there are gluten free options and brought to a table. When they come to take our order, we ask again because the menu is unclear on what the options are. The server tells us she doesn't know and disappears. We try asking 3 other staff members, but it's very busy and they all say they don't know and leave. Finally after 20+ minutes someone explains they only have 1 option of rice noodles and some things would need to be removed from the dish to make it work. Once the food arrived, it was delicious. I doubt the gluten free dish was actually gluten free though, since they served it with bread anyway.

The food at The Noodlemaker is decent and the place has a nice vibe, but the overall experience could be better. The service and treatment from the servers felt a bit unfriendly. A little more politeness and warmth would really make the visit more enjoyable. With improved customer service, this spot could be much better.

Our main dishes with noodles were delicious! Out appetizers were tasty but a bit too much cumin.. if less, would be top!

I went for dinner on a Sunday evening, convinced by the numerous positive reviews. Alas, I obviously have to evaluate my experience that evening, regardless of whether it was typical or not. My husband and I ordered two identical plates of noodles with egg, mushrooms, and tomato; and three sides: a plate of fried tofu, a plate of spiced bread, and a plate of spicy potatoes; two hot jasmine teas. Everything was also listed on the menu, and we pointed out the serving sizes with our fingers, seeing the waiter's difficulty understanding English. It's strange because they're located near Messe, where there are many tourists, as events are often held there. Given that the menu says "vegan" next to some dishes, but in actual fact, they're vegetarian, I'll explain how the dinner went. In fact, only one plate of noodles arrived, so my husband received the other dish, even though it was identical to mine, halfway through dinner because they'd forgotten about it. Then came the tofu and spiced bread, but there was no sign of potatoes: this time, we didn't insist. Finally, the tea was essentially a cup of tea with the classic tea bag and a few dried flowers, priced at €4.50 each. A bit pricey for what it is. The bill was €48. In theory, he hadn't counted the potatoes when he saw the total, so they probably hadn't even been noted in the order. The experience was therefore not satisfactory, even though the noodles were very fresh, tasty, and light, despite the fairly substantial portion. The tofu, on the other hand, had cilantro, which is often mentioned on menus due to the many people who hate it (myself included), and the bread wasn't great at all. Go just for the noodles—they're good and definitely worth a try—but nothing else, and keep in mind that the "vegan" on the menu isn't vegan.

The smell from the place is heavenly. I found the soup somewhat plain tasting and couldn't finish all of it, but the noodles were great and I was overall happy

The Noodle Maker is not HELAL We called before our visit to inquire whether the meat at The Noodle Maker in Frankfurt was HELAL. This was confirmed to us over the phone. After we sat down and looked at the menu, I asked again for my wife, just to be sure, since she only eats HELAL. The waitress simply replied, "I think so, I don't know." When we asked to ask the manager, she replied, "The food is not mixed, you can also have lamb." These answers were very confusing and clearly demonstrated that they apparently don't even know what helal means. For a restaurant in Frankfurt that serves meat, it should be a given that both the management and the waiters know exactly what helal means and can provide guests with clear, reliable information. Helal doesn't simply mean "not mixed," but rather that the meat was slaughtered according to Islamic regulations. As for the food: I ordered a beef noodle soup to try. The noodles were good, but the meat was a bit tough. The broth was tasty, but overall, the dish wasn't anything special. Furthermore, the waitress seemed unprofessional – open-toed shoes and unkempt feet are not a good image in a restaurant setting.

The on-site menu offers more choices than the one on the website. I had pasta with tomato and egg. Pasta had a good texture but was very salty. The prices were reasonable, and the shop was busy...

I can't understand some of the very good reviews. The only tasty thing was the drinks, but that was it. We spent a lot of money on completely inedible (some of them hard and disgustingly sticky) pasta swimming in a tasteless sauce made of pure oil. We left the food because I was really worried I was going to throw up. I would never go here!

Horrible food, truly disgusting. It was just noodles floating in a pool of oil. The noodles themselves were already dried out at the edges. All in all, inedible. The drinks were delicious, the atmosphere was like a fast-food restaurant, and the service was mediocre but still okay. I wouldn't recommend it.

It's a Chinese restaurant with the kitchen in the middle and sitting places around it. We enjoyed the fresh made nudles. It has kind staff.

My brother lived in China for half a year and ate Lanzhou Lamian almost every day; it's now his favorite dish! He was blown away by the Lanzhou Lamian and ate two portions straight away 😅 I had the vegetarian Majong Lamian, which were also incredibly delicious! Our appetizers (cucumber salad and tofu salad) were also very, very, very good! Especially the spices in the tofu salad! Highly recommended! 100 out of 100 points 💯💯💯

Regular customers update their reviews daily. I recently tried the mutton soup steamed bun. As someone who studied in Xi'an, I can only say that the taste isn't exactly the same as authentic mutton instant noodles, but it's completely unrelated. The noodles are good, authentic! Reliable! Fast! Plenty of meat! The noodles can be a little lumpy sometimes, but that's a good thing! When ordering the thickness, just add the thickness you imagine Lanzhou ramen in China to automatically increase by one. This is the thickness they offer. The cumin mutton fried noodles are amazing! I don't know if the restaurant is good or bad. Everyone has to be bad because of one person in the restaurant. Because I work in Wolt. I went to take an order from there. I waited for 20 minutes. Then when my order was given, I grabbed a candy from there and was called so bad by a person. I can't tell you. You tell me yourself. I deliver the food prepared by you to the customers. What did I do wrong if I grabbed a candy from there? I work hard and don't beg anyone to eat, no matter how cold it is, no matter how hot it is, we deliver orders to customers. I even waited there for 20 minutes, but I was spoken to so badly just for a candy.🥹🥲

A familiar taste. As expected, Lanzhou Ramen is delicious. A culinary feast in Frankfurt.

I ate at the restaurant in question. The server took our order fairly quickly. The food also arrived at our table at a really fast pace! Initially, that was very positive. However, the restaurant apparently serves cold dishes, where the pasta in the sauce is served really cold… unfortunately, it's not our cup of tea, and I think this could be communicated on the menu or by the server beforehand, so that you know what you're getting into and can possibly change your order if you're there for a hot dish! Nevertheless, our food still tasted reasonably good. 15 minutes after leaving the restaurant, however, I immediately regretted eating there. I got severe stomach pain and had to rush home to the bathroom. I was able to relieve myself there at first, but I still feel very sick from the food! Later, I also saw that the restaurant had been reported to the consumer protection agency due to unsanitary conditions. The text I read there finally helps me explain my stomach pain and diarrhea… We'll never eat there again!

I've eaten there twice already and I'm thrilled. The menu selection is very good, and there are plenty of vegetarian options. The food is extremely delicious, and you get to your table super quickly. The staff is also really friendly.

We were previously huge fans of the place. But today, when we ordered the dish with (stir-fried) noodles, a different type of noodle arrived. When we informed the manager about this, we received a silly response, "That's always the case," and we were given a nasty look that was beyond disrespectful and rude!

The food tasted okay, nothing special. There were hardly any vegetables in the noodle soup. I found the server rude. After about an hour and a half, one of the Chinese servers suddenly approached us with a card reader and asked, "Are you paying together or separately?" I understand that when the restaurant is full, guests should get up and leave as early as possible after eating to make room for new guests. But it's the tone of voice that counts. The server could have expressed this much more politely.

The mutton soup with steamed buns was delicious, with plenty of mutton in the soup, and the pickled garlic was also delicious. The restaurant is air-conditioned, which is perfect for the hot summer. Highly recommended!

Even one star is too many. 25 minutes before closing time, we weren't allowed in – despite it being our birthday.

So for a Chinese ramen, it was good, but not 100% my taste. I prefer Japanese ramen. Maybe I just chose the wrong dish, but it was very spicy! 😀

Last time I was there. They couldn't cook the tofu properly. They didn't cook the canned mushrooms either. They just spat it into the soup. The soup was cold. Everything was done in a hurry. The Massa shop is totally annoying with its hectic attitude and loud mouth. The Romanian service, on the other hand, was very polite and attentive.

A beautiful, modern restaurant where you can watch the noodles being pulled by hand. The service is fast, but more efficient than super-friendly. The food was good; I particularly enjoyed the Asian Bolognese.

These noodles weren’t made. They were engineered. Slurped them like there was no tomorrow. Cozy vibe, quick service, and portions that made me question if I should ever cook at home again. Noodle heaven.

I love these noodles! I've never had better ones. My little 3-year-old daughter absolutely loves them too.

I've been there several times, and each time I've seen the same waiter wearing glasses. He reaches directly into each bowl with his gloved hand and adds leeks and meat. The first time, I was shocked and thought it was just an isolated incident. But after several visits, I realized that this waiter is always there—and that he always does it this way. I find this extremely unhygienic and, frankly, disgusting. I find it particularly horrible that he takes the beef slices with his bare hands and places them directly into the soup bowls. I've also observed him: He does many other things, such as cashing customers. Afterward, he doesn't even wash his hands, but uses the same dirty hands to reach into the ingredients and place them in the customers' bowls. Once, he even came straight from the restroom and immediately reached into the container of spring onions and beef with the same hands. I'm writing all this in the hope that something will change at this restaurant. The noodles there are truly delicious, and it would be a shame if so many customers stayed away due to poor hygiene. In fact, I already know several friends who no longer eat there for precisely this reason.

The food is super delicious! But in the last 10 visits, I've gotten something different than what I ordered 8 times... usually just a different size pasta. 4 times, I simply had no or hardly any vegetables in my dish.

Fascinating noodle-making technique. Firm and delicious noodles. A commercial kitchen atmosphere. Very, very tasty, always packed. But two seats are always available. The most delicious noodle soup in Frankfurt.

Especially authentic Chinese noodles, the spicy oil is very fragrant, and the snacks randomly dropped by the boss are also very fragrant and delicious. I love it and will come again next time

Authentic northwestern Chinese noodle bowls and side-dishes. The noodle is always freshly pulled so it has the best-class texture you can imagine. The chief crew has exellent skill and the service was top-notch. For noodles, I highly recommend the Original Lanzhou Lamian. If you're bored, try the Sauerkohl Lamian. You will love the texture and taste of the Sauerkohl (pickled Chinese vegitables). For dry/wok noodles, I think both the beef one (Rindfleish Lamian-wok) and the lamb one (Lammfleish Lamian-Wok) are great. For side dishes, I recommend the Lamb skewers, although it's actually on toothpicks (another classic Chinese dishes).

EXTREMELY RUDE STAFF! I went to this shop for takeout twice. First I check if the bolognese noodles was pork he lied to me yes and later I found out was actually beef. Second day was WORSE! He literally throw tantrum and punching the table when I told him I wanted to order for takeaway and I need to see a menu. Everyone including the staff saw if you(shop owner) need to investigate. I did not make much contact with him and for 2 days the total conversation with him literally less than 5 sentences and he did this to me which I find it really unacceptable and intimidating! This shop do not deserve even 1 star of rating.

Authentic, hand-pulled noodles 🍜, fresh side dishes, and plenty of spice :) "The Noodlemaker" in Frankfurt impresses with its hand-pulled noodles. The broth is rich without being overpowering, and the beef is tender. We chose the Chinese cucumber salad and the seasoned radish as sides – both fresh, delicious, and generously portioned. The ambiance is simple but fitting, and the service is friendly. Overall, an authentic taste experience that we'd happily recommend.

They have really good noodles (they’re making their own right in the kitchen and you get to see it as you eat which is a show in itself!). The soups are delicious and we really like the flavors and the fact that they pack everything really well when you do take out! The only small downside is that the ratio noodle to everything else is a bit tipped in favor of the noodles - there’s a bit too much of it … Get their picked radishes with every order they are delicious!

The best Lanzhou ramen in France

I asked the clerk if I could get free noodles, but he said, "How can you get free noodles now?" He didn't even look at how high the cost is now😅 1kg of high-gluten flour is less than 0.9 euros in the supermarket, so why is it so expensive? The Chinese noodle restaurant in Nuremberg offers free noodles, and if the soup is not enough, the clerk will directly ask in a friendly manner.

Truly unbelievably good food!! I happened to be there by chance and was immediately transported to another world. Add to that the extremely delicious and fresh food. It was absolutely delicious, and I will definitely go back when I'm back in Frankfurt. Highly recommended for anyone who wants something authentically Asian. For me, this is the absolute number 1 place so far!! The price is completely reasonable. For just under €20, you'll really get your fill here, including a drink.
