I didn't think it tasted particularly good, the noodles were delicious and you could taste that they were homemade, but we couldn't choose the noodles and the taste didn't blow you away

Nice restaurant, the special thing is of course the cooking area in the middle, where the pasta is freshly made by hand. The service wasn't overly friendly and seemed slightly annoyed. We found the food good but sometimes a bit bland. Considering the prices for a bowl of noodles, we didn't think it was worth repeating. What's great, of course, is that you can choose the type of pasta and you can sit in the restaurant in a slightly different way. For us, the fun factor outweighs the taste.

Ordered dried noodles but it was too dry. The portion is big. It is worth a try if you are really craving for some Chinese noodles.

The restaurant used to be really good, but the price-performance ratio is simply no longer right. The beef was extremely stringy and unpleasant to eat. The noodles and vegetables were delicious. However, 15 EUR for pasta and a few pieces of stringy meat is too much in my opinion. Here you can get much better food from other very good Asian restaurants for the same money.

Wow finally saw how to "swing" Chinese noodle again. Fast, friendly and especially very, very tasty.

It was a packed Sunday night but my Bolognese udon noodles arrived within minutes. The serving size is very decent, the noodles were thick, chewy and flavoursome. Lovely staff - friendly and happy to help.

The food was very tasty but unfortunately there was only one vegetarian meal and otherwise only beef. The service was ok too, it just took a while for a waiter to come and take our order. The noodles are freshly made and you can even watch them being made, which I think is very cool. We sat outside because it was too overcrowded inside and you could only sit at the bar tables. Otherwise everything was satisfactory

It was such a surprise for the international students to eat such authentic Lanzhou Ramen in Frankfurt! The handmade ramen has a very strong texture and the beef is also very tasty. It feels like you have returned to your hometown. Highly recommended to all friends who miss the taste of hometown!

The handmade noodles are truly excellent. It was the most delicious Chinese noodles I've ever had in Germany. The taste of the soup is average, and it is very light and not spicy, probably because it is tailored to Western tastes. If you think about local malatang, you may be disappointed. If you go during crowded times, it has a market-like atmosphere, so it's not an atmosphere where you can sit quietly and chat. Rather, it is a good atmosphere for a light meal alone. (Gusuji: The chicken and tofu in red pepper oil that tasted like Mala was mediocre. It's different from the local taste and there are too many peanuts. Not recommended unless you're really hungry.) Visited more than 5 times in total as of October 2024. I was very disappointed with the response of the German woman who gave me the wrong menu and didn't even apologize, saying, "Then can I bring you some pickled vegetables (an ingredient that should be in the noodles)?" Employees like this don't help the store's image. The price has also risen a lot. I hope the service improves as the price increases.

**Not suitable for nor friendly to families with small kids.** We’ve been here many times and know how busy it can get so we always make a reservation. We were a party of 6 and arrived an hour earlier than our reservation thinking that there shouldn’t be a problem moving it up. There was a table in the back for 6 reserved for 6:30 and it would’ve been perfect for us because we have small kids and the rest of the seating in the restaurant are all high chairs /bar stools. They insisted that the table in the back was not for our party of 6 but for another reservation that called much earlier and made us sit in the high chairs close to the open door with cold air blowing in. Closer to 6:30 a party of 5 adults came in. They said they called 20 min ago and was told to just come in. And guess what, they sat them down at the table in the back that was supposedly for another party that reserved “much earlier”. When I pointed it out, the manager insisted that that was for them when I clearly heard the guest say when they came in that they just called. Not only did they not apologise, the manager just ignored me. My family and I will never come back.

Service is poor and not friendly when one person eats there. I waited in the restaurant for almost 15 minutes but no waiter came to me. After I ordered my food, the waitress forgot to tell the kitchen. After another 10 minutes I had to reorder my food. I will never visit this restaurant again. It's all chaos on Friday.

Very delicious, spectacular food! Very, very affordable for what's offered, too. Service could be more attentive at times - I have waited up to 20 minutes before I got to pay. Food arrives very fresh and quickly, though! 💕

Do Not GO! The service and hygiene level is the worst I’ve been. Service: I ask the Chinese female owner that why does your worker use barehand to grab all the garnish vegetables. She stares me and responds with a big attitude that “what’s the problem? Don’t you use hand eat at home? And we are the famous chef here!” Excuse me, does famous chef has correlation with food hygiene level? Her insolent and full of attitude behavior makes no customer wanna back. Hygiene: the Indian worker who grabs all the garnish vegetables with his oil hands. Also, he packages all the takeout hand, and he delivers the dry noodle to back kitchen to have it stir fried. Seriously, who know if he washes his hand since he is so packed with orders. Soup noodle: noodle is okay but the soup is too salty Anyway, try to avoid this restaurant!

This review is about the service, not about the food, which by the way is very good. I made a reservation via this restaurant’s Google Maps profile page. I did this because I know it gets busy during lunch hours during the week, with tourists and suits that work in the area. Furthermore, the person I was meeting up with has a baby and would require a high chair. This is important as all the seating are HIGH BAR STOOLS which is not baby/child-friendly as some other stupid Google Map reviewers have claimed on the details section. So I arrive on time for my reservation, the place is busy. The woman I speak to who is clearly overwhelmed by the busy-ness sort of gives me this look like she isn’t aware of my reservation and tells me to sit anywhere. Then I ask in German if they have high chairs and says she does not. I am clearly angry and storm off to where she’s pointed. I assume I have a table with one of the reservation signs but she points to the crappy chairs in front of the staff room door and I’m like great - what’s the point of the reservation. She can see I’m mad and says I could sit at the tables with the reservation signs if I’m not satisfied. I explain it’s not the point and that my friend has a baby that needs space and a high chair. Furthermore the waiters are not warm, friendly or attentive. It did take me a while to get one of them to take our order. So if you do want to come here with babies or toddlers, unfortunately you can’t. Unless you bring your own portable high chair. I would even recommend it for toddlers as a cushion on one of their bar stools would work but would be dangerous. Such a shame as their food is good. Also did notice that their portions are inconsistent. My Chinese bolognese noodles were smaller compared to when I had them 4 months ago.

I’m uncertain if your restaurant enforces seating restrictions based on race, but my experience was troubling. A Chinese waitress refused to seat me by the window or at the bar, while another waitress later confirmed both options were available. What made this worse was the Chinese waitress openly stating, quite loudly, her dislike for Japanese. Well, I believe such behaviour is deeply inappropriate, especially from staff in a professional setting. This reflects a significant issue with staff training, as expressing racial biases in the workplace is completely unacceptable and disappointing. It‘s not recommended, the food is alright, but the experience takes all the attention. I still have the three towards another young lady who served me later on, she was nice. Thanks to her I could at least finish my food.

Super tasty and fresh food. The journey is worth it. Always well attended. You will be given a seat right at the entrance. Service is quick and, despite the high volume of guests, friendly, calm and helpful.

It is a qualified noodle shop and I will patronize it every time I come to Flan. Visited twice during this exhibition. The quality of the noodles was not stable. The taste of the noodles was very different between the two times. The one I had at noon on the second day was obviously softer than the one I had on the first day. In addition, I asked for Bewirtungsbeleg, but when I took it home, I found out that it was just an ordinary Beleg, so I could not be reimbursed.

I had a very uncomfortable experience with a Chinese waitress who displayed rude and unprofessional behaviour. Shockingly, she openly expressed racial preferences and treated people differently, which was quite disgusting. It’s clear there are weird issues with the quality of restaurant management and a lack of professionalism. Unfortunately, this made it impossible to enjoy the food.

I received it on a business trip. It is conveniently located just a short walk from Frankfurt Messe. If you are used to Japanese ramen, the taste may seem a little strange to you (Japanese people have a lot more salt in it). I chose thin noodles, but later I thought it would have been better if they were flat. If you want it spicier, you can make it even spicier by adding chili oil on the table.

I visited this restaurant alone on a busy Friday evening and was offered a seat in front of the chefs preparing the noodles. The noodles were bouncy and chewy and the broth was really good. The meat pancake was a little dry and I wish it came with some sauce. Besides that I would recommend coming here. Just note if you are with more than 2 people you may have to wait as it does get very busy in the evenings but service is fast. Also they accept card which is refreshing for a restaurant in Germany!

Unfriendly staff, waited for too long and no one come to u, and when they finally come to you they said why you did not asked for a menu? And the guy comes to you will like 10 mins later asked you, why you did not take the order?

A male employee wearing glasses was very rude! He wanted to move an empty chair at our table and shouted rudely: Oh, take away these clothes! There was also an employee who didn't pay attention when he closed the door. The door hit the back of a friend's chair...and left without looking back...for the first time, he didn't even give a tip. One star was given to the hard-working ramen chef.

We ordered three dishes but only received one sauce. After several calls, they wanted to deliver the sauces to us, but they never came. So the food was just naked noodles and of course had been cold for a long time. The staff was not at all courteous and unfriendly and only after several attempts did anything happen. We were regular customers and enjoyed eating there, but we won't do that anymore.

In my opinion, The noodlemaker is a very authentic Chinese restaurant. The main meals are mainly noodle dishes, especially noodle soups and wok. You can choose the noodles in different thicknesses, which I find very interesting and never makes the restaurant and the dishes boring. There is also a large selection of different side dishes (millennial egg, tofu salad, edamame…). I really enjoyed the wok, the noodles are really delicious. As a vegan/vegetarian, the soups are probably not an option as they are meat-based, but there are also delicious alternatives such as vegetable wok. The service is top and the atmosphere is very pleasant. What I think is great is that you can watch pasta being made. I'll definitely come back.

One of my go to place for handmade noodles in Frankfurt! It's super tasty, and the price is reasonable. One tip - you should definitely try the tea eggs😋😋

Absolutely ok, absolutely authentic ramen. There was a female waiter with a desperate look on her face, but she smiled in front of the foreign customers.

There is no place to stay longer than to eat. Sometimes no staff came for several minutes, despite requests, even though there were 4-5 people walking around. Open kitchen is a plus. My food was declared not spicy and I couldn't eat it after 2 forkfuls. Furthermore, I ordered it without cilantro, but my dish came with cilantro. Afterwards we ordered another supposedly non-spicy dish, WITHOUT coriander. Of course it came back with coriander, which I had to down and put aside. This one was actually pretty good 8/10. When I pointed this out to an employee, a gentleman from the restaurant came a short time later and asked briskly where the coriander was on the dish. He simply reached into the plate with his fingers and looked for the coriander in it, which we picked out (as written above) and had placed next to the plate. He just said grumpily that we were wrong and shouldn't say something like that and left. Some dishes were very good, some an average 5/10. In the evening we both had severe stomach pains and my wife also had diarrhea. We won't come again.

The service is underground. Waiting times of 45 minutes. You can't enjoy warm food together here. Orders are ignored.

Super cool place on the borders of the Frankfurt centre. Just walk in and see the chef picking and stretching all kinds of fresh noodles .... so handmade and fresh ...you can pick 5 different kinds... i had noodles with beef .... soooo tasty, delicious!! This is how noodles should be... A real relaxed vibe in this place too... Whenever in the Frankfurt area pay them a visit and enjoy some freshly made noodles 🙏.

Know this restaurant from Google Maps. Very delicious, the noodles are freshly made, and if you sit at the bar and eat, you can watch the noodles being made. This is my second time visiting this restaurant! If you come to Frankfurt for business again, you will definitely eat here! The service attitude is also very good. Because the wrong meal was delivered, they sent a correct meal for free. Although I didn't mind the wrong meal, it was also delicious😋 Lanzhou Beef Ramen is delicious, and you can choose the type of noodles yourself, although I didn’t understand the names of the types of noodles😳 The restaurant is air-conditioned and very clean :)

BAD EXPERIENCE!!! ALL PLEASE READ. The waitress at this place was one of the rudest and rudest people I have ever dealt with on my trip to Frankfurt. First of all, he didn't even have the decency to accompany me and my friends to the table that we booked a few days ago, secondly, he even told us through really terrible English that we only had one minute to order food, the good thing is that she came by to take the order after at least 30 minutes. The menu is really poor, but the ramen was quite good. Be careful they put flies in there.

We had dinner there a few days ago. I ordered #1 on the menu with #7 as the type of pasta. First of all, I think it's very cool that you can choose your own type of pasta from 7 options, which makes the taste experience extremely customizable. I have nothing to complain about in terms of the taste itself. The soup tasted great and tastes similar to Vietnamese Pho (in a good sense). The size was excellent and really filled me up perfectly. Not too much and not too little. What's also cool about the restaurant is that you can watch the chefs making your own pasta. Unfortunately the service was a little strange. The waiter who served us seemed like he didn't feel like serving us, which was either due to his own manner and that it just seemed a bit strange to us or he actually didn't feel like it. There was nothing wrong with the rest of the service team.

There are deductions for the following points: The employees are friendly, except for the young gentleman who also worked on Saturday (July 27th). Totally unfriendly and definitely not customer and service oriented. Questions are answered sloppily and he lacks any motivation whatsoever. Doesn't work at all! Tables were not wiped properly (crumbs and hair).

As a Lanzhou native, it is really touching to be able to eat familiar beef noodles abroad. The taste and service are great. It is already the restaurant I frequent most in Frankfurt! I have been taking it for two years, and it is really good.

I didn’t expect to be able to eat such authentic ramen in Frankfurt. There is also a Chinese guy who wears glasses who gave a good recommendation. Language problem solved. A perfect meal. Will come again next time I have a chance.

I didn’t expect to eat such authentic Lanzhou ramen on my first night in Germany, and the kelp shreds also tasted great! It's right downstairs in our hotel, which is really good news for Chinese people living abroad. The waiter who is from Lanzhou was super enthusiastic and gave us delicious tea duck eggs, which was perfect with a manual thumbs up 👍. I will definitely eat here again when I come to Frankfurt again.

It was my first time to visit Noodlemaker. We advised to take a window sit at first, but all of sudden a small glass wearing man called us and have a sit on the corner next to the storage. The noodle was delicious but the attitude was bit rude.

The recommendation was very worthwhile (at least for someone who eats meat). It was ready super quickly and very tasty, and above all, filling. The price was reasonable and everything tasted really fresh. The ambience was also pleasant with a nice view. I just didn't find the toilets to be particularly clean.

Certainly one of the best noodles in Frankfurt. The texture and chewiness is perfect. The mild spices does tinkle your taste buds. I like the 7 different types of noodles you can chose from and each one is unique to themselves. The service is pretty decent. No hangups there.. Their menu option is very limited, especially for Ramen. Hope they can add on to that. Pricing is apt for the quality, quantity and the ambience.
