Very delicious, spectacular food! Very, very affordable for what's offered, too. Service could be more attentive at times - I have waited up to 20 minutes before I got to pay. Food arrives very fresh and quickly, though! 💕

This restaurant is specializes in Lamian, and it’s one of my absolute favorites. The setting is simple yet clean and well-organized. What I appreciate most is the incredibly fast service. The noodles are freshly made right in front of you, with the chefs preparing them calmly at the center of the dining area for everyone to see. The flavors are authentic and traditional, taking me back to my time living in Asia—one of the reasons I keep coming back. The restaurant is popular with both Chinese guests and locals, as the dishes are delicate, healthy, and delicious, appealing to a wide range of tastes. In addition to Lamian (long noodles in broth with meat and a few vegetables), you can enjoy traditional appetizers. I always go for the sliced cold meat and cucumber salad—they’re absolutely fantastic. The prices are fair and very reasonable for the quality. I love this restaurant and visit whenever I can!

The only thing is that when asked if you were allowed to sit at a table, the answer was no, we should please sit at the number, I personally didn't think that was that great, but that's different for everyone. The restaurant is in a very good neighborhood and yet prices are super fair. The place itself is very warm and welcoming. The staff is friendly and attentive. Their menu choice isn't overwhelming, which is a very good sign; this way you know that they are focusing on. The simplest dish comes with three different levels of spicy and you can always select the thickness of your noodles. They prepare the noodles visible to everyone. The dish was very tasty and the portion size was perfect. Make sure to book a table ahead, since most of the time there are no tables left. I will definitely come back!

The beef noodles are handmade and authentic. Delicious in German Chinese restaurants standards. The restaurant is crowded on Friday evenings and you may need to sit at the bar.

The food is super delicious! But in the last 10 visits I've received something different than what I ordered 8 times... mostly just a different noodle size. 4 times I simply had no/hardly any vegetables in the dish.

I’m very disappointed with my recent visit. We were asked to swap tables with another family and moved to a corner, but no one came to take our order for a long time. Despite repeatedly trying to get the staff’s attention, we were ignored, while others who arrived later, including the family we swapped with, were served. When I raised this with the waiter, I was rudely told, “You must wait.” As a former regular, I will never return and will share this terrible experience with others.

The pasta dough is freshly made. The food was ready quickly and was brought to us directly. The waitress doesn't have a good overview of the guests, but comes to the table quickly when you wave at her. I was very enthusiastic about the food. The noodles were very tasty. the soup was very light but flavorful. nice staff and very good food!

I went to The Noodlemaker with my dog ​​and overall it was a mixed experience. The food was without question excellent - the homemade pasta tasted great and I was impressed by the variety of dishes. The combination of Asian flavors and modern influences was really successful. Unfortunately, the visit with the dog wasn't quite as pleasant as I had hoped. No water was offered for my dog, which is actually standard practice in dog-friendly restaurants these days. The attention of the staff on this point could also have been a little better. The atmosphere in the restaurant was still pleasant, modern and inviting, which enhanced the experience somewhat. Conclusion: It's definitely worth a visit for the great Asian cuisine. If you come with a dog, you shouldn't expect any special consideration or extras. 4/5 stars.

Nice place, good that they have the menú with photos and in English. They are pet friendly. Just the spicy was not spicy at all but great flavor.

We had a delicious noodle soup and other specialties for lunch.

In contrast to some other reviews, the beef in my soup was definitely not tender at all. In fact, it was as hard as cardboard. The soup tastes just good and there are not a lot of ingredients in the soup apart from a lot of noodles and the soup itself. I had literally 3 or 4 slim slices of beef. Maybe it is authentic, maybe not, I am not sure. But I know that I won't come back, even though I was very much looking forward to eating here because of the great reviews.

Really delicious noodles! My husband and I shared a beef wok plate. Full of flavor and fresh veggies, too. Really hit the spot on a rainy day. Service was super slow, though.

Super tasty food with comparatively large portions. The Bolognese is highly recommended! Noodles are prepared live by hand in the middle of the restaurant, very impressive. Even though the restaurant was completely full and we initially had to wait for a seat, we got the food very quickly.

Chinese noodle restaurant with freshly homemade noodles. The selection of dishes has increased over the years, but they are all variations on pasta, as the name of the restaurant suggests. Unfortunately, the increased popularity has not improved the quality of the food, but it has worsened the service, especially when it gets busier, you can't expect the friendliness you would expect. Ultimately, unfortunately not as good as it was 2-3 years ago, and there are better alternatives in Frankfurt.

I love this store. A friend and I were in Frankfurt for three days and were here twice. The peanut noodles look unimpressive at first, but are absolutely amazing. It's also really a huge portion for the price. Also, hand pulled noodles?? Count me in!! The waiter was also an absolute mouse. The only disadvantage is that it gets crowded and crowded really quickly and you don't have much space.

Delicious food, the hand-pulled noodles taste great, service is also good - but an absolute <no go> the noodle maker takes his cell phone in his greasy hands, goes into the kitchen, comes back, puts the cell phone aside and kneads the noodle dough further in front of all guests. We tried this restaurant during our lunch break while visiting a trade fair in Frankfurt and were very satisfied. It was a perfect stop for a delicious snack with an emphasis on the homemade pasta. The soups had a distinctive Asian flavor and were served very quickly, allowing us to return to the fair in time. For a quick visit and a delicious soup, I can definitely recommend this restaurant.

The lady boss is very nice, there are many customers in the store, the environment is very comfortable, and the taste is very authentic.

It's a shame :( this was our second time there. The first time we didn't like the food but we wanted to try it again because I heard that the menu had changed. The food was delicious, unfortunately my noodles were a bit overweight but the beef broth was powerful and combined well with the acidity of the cabbage. Top! The Bolognese was also very tasty and the pasta was al dente. Unfortunately the service was catastrophic! A lady was very nice to us but the waiter was so annoyed and unfriendly. We came with a small child and a stroller. The waiter somehow didn't like it. No smiles or thanks or nothing please. He even makes the hot soup over the stroller where my 3 month old baby was. Because he was annoyed that I put a chair on the side so that the stroller could lie next to him. I'm glad that didn't happen. But I wouldn't recommend it at all to families with children. It's a shame because the food was very good. But a zero for service.

It is recommended that you choose the third thin noodles. The second thin noodles are a bit thicker. It is delicious. It has to be Lanzhou Ramen.

I didn't think it tasted particularly good, the noodles were delicious and you could taste that they were homemade, but we couldn't choose the noodles and the taste didn't blow you away

Nice restaurant, the special thing is of course the cooking area in the middle, where the pasta is freshly made by hand. The service wasn't overly friendly and seemed slightly annoyed. We found the food good but sometimes a bit bland. Considering the prices for a bowl of noodles, we didn't think it was worth repeating. What's great, of course, is that you can choose the type of pasta and you can sit in the restaurant in a slightly different way. For us, the fun factor outweighs the taste.

Ordered dried noodles but it was too dry. The portion is big. It is worth a try if you are really craving for some Chinese noodles.

The restaurant used to be really good, but the price-performance ratio is simply no longer right. The beef was extremely stringy and unpleasant to eat. The noodles and vegetables were delicious. However, 15 EUR for pasta and a few pieces of stringy meat is too much in my opinion. Here you can get much better food from other very good Asian restaurants for the same money.

Wow finally saw how to "swing" Chinese noodle again. Fast, friendly and especially very, very tasty.

It was a packed Sunday night but my Bolognese udon noodles arrived within minutes. The serving size is very decent, the noodles were thick, chewy and flavoursome. Lovely staff - friendly and happy to help.

The food was very tasty but unfortunately there was only one vegetarian meal and otherwise only beef. The service was ok too, it just took a while for a waiter to come and take our order. The noodles are freshly made and you can even watch them being made, which I think is very cool. We sat outside because it was too overcrowded inside and you could only sit at the bar tables. Good dinner in this restaurant. The choice to place the kitchen in the center of the room is particular, so that you can see the preparation of the dishes live. The only flaw is the strong smell that permeates hair and clothes, however I recommend it

It was such a surprise for the international students to eat such authentic Lanzhou Ramen in Frankfurt! The handmade ramen has a very strong texture and the beef is also very tasty. It feels like you have returned to your hometown. Highly recommended to all friends who miss the taste of hometown!

The handmade noodles are truly excellent. It was the most delicious Chinese noodles I've ever had in Germany. The taste of the soup is average, and it is very light and not spicy, probably because it is tailored to Western tastes. If you think about local malatang, you may be disappointed. If you go during crowded times, it has a market-like atmosphere, so it's not an atmosphere where you can sit quietly and chat. Rather, it is a good atmosphere for a light meal alone. (Gusuji: The chicken and tofu in red pepper oil that tasted like Mala was mediocre. It's different from the local taste and there are too many peanuts. Not recommended unless you're really hungry.) Visited more than 5 times in total as of October 2024. I was very disappointed with the response of the German woman who gave me the wrong menu and didn't even apologize, saying, "Then can I bring you some pickled vegetables (an ingredient that should be in the noodles)?" Employees like this don't help the store's image. The price has also risen a lot. I hope the service improves as the price increases.

**Not suitable for nor friendly to families with small kids.** We’ve been here many times and know how busy it can get so we always make a reservation. We were a party of 6 and arrived an hour earlier than our reservation thinking that there shouldn’t be a problem moving it up. There was a table in the back for 6 reserved for 6:30 and it would’ve been perfect for us because we have small kids and the rest of the seating in the restaurant are all high chairs /bar stools. They insisted that the table in the back was not for our party of 6 but for another reservation that called much earlier and made us sit in the high chairs close to the open door with cold air blowing in. Closer to 6:30 a party of 5 adults came in. They said they called 20 min ago and was told to just come in. And guess what, they sat them down at the table in the back that was supposedly for another party that reserved “much earlier”. When I pointed it out, the manager insisted that that was for them when I clearly heard the guest say when they came in that they just called. Not only did they not apologise, the manager just ignored me. My family and I will never come back.

Service is poor and not friendly when one person eats there. I waited in the restaurant for almost 15 minutes but no waiter came to me. After I ordered my food, the waitress forgot to tell the kitchen. After another 10 minutes I had to reorder my food. I will never visit this restaurant again. It's all chaos on Friday.

Very authentic Chinese noodle restaurant. The taste is just like in China. On weekends I recommend making a reservation in advance. The handmade noodles are very tasty.

One of our favourite eateries in Frankfurt. We’ve been here 8 times already. The food is fantastic and the staff are always wonderful.

It tastes great. It’s the best beef noodle I’ve ever had in Europe. I’ve been here many times! All noodles are hand-made by the boss and served very quickly.

Do Not GO! The service and hygiene level is the worst I’ve been. Service: I ask the Chinese female owner that why does your worker use barehand to grab all the garnish vegetables. She stares me and responds with a big attitude that “what’s the problem? Don’t you use hand eat at home? And we are the famous chef here!” Excuse me, does famous chef has correlation with food hygiene level? Her insolent and full of attitude behavior makes no customer wanna back. Hygiene: the Indian worker who grabs all the garnish vegetables with his oil hands. Also, he packages all the takeout hand, and he delivers the dry noodle to back kitchen to have it stir fried. Seriously, who know if he washes his hand since he is so packed with orders. Soup noodle: noodle is okay but the soup is too salty Anyway, try to avoid this restaurant!

This review is about the service, not about the food, which by the way is very good. I made a reservation via this restaurant’s Google Maps profile page. I did this because I know it gets busy during lunch hours during the week, with tourists and suits that work in the area. Furthermore, the person I was meeting up with has a baby and would require a high chair. This is important as all the seating are HIGH BAR STOOLS which is not baby/child-friendly as some other stupid Google Map reviewers have claimed on the details section. So I arrive on time for my reservation, the place is busy. The woman I speak to who is clearly overwhelmed by the busy-ness sort of gives me this look like she isn’t aware of my reservation and tells me to sit anywhere. Then I ask in German if they have high chairs and says she does not. I am clearly angry and storm off to where she’s pointed. I assume I have a table with one of the reservation signs but she points to the crappy chairs in front of the staff room door and I’m like great - what’s the point of the reservation. She can see I’m mad and says I could sit at the tables with the reservation signs if I’m not satisfied. I explain it’s not the point and that my friend has a baby that needs space and a high chair. Furthermore the waiters are not warm, friendly or attentive. It did take me a while to get one of them to take our order. So if you do want to come here with babies or toddlers, unfortunately you can’t. Unless you bring your own portable high chair. I would even recommend it for toddlers as a cushion on one of their bar stools would work but would be dangerous. Such a shame as their food is good. Also did notice that their portions are inconsistent. My Chinese bolognese noodles were smaller compared to when I had them 4 months ago.

It is a qualified noodle shop and I will patronize it every time I come to Flan. Visited twice during this exhibition. The quality of the noodles was not stable. The taste of the noodles was very different between the two times. The one I had at noon on the second day was obviously softer than the one I had on the first day. In addition, I asked for Bewirtungsbeleg, but when I took it home, I found out that it was just an ordinary Beleg, so I could not be reimbursed.

I’m uncertain if your restaurant enforces seating restrictions based on race, but my experience was troubling. A Chinese waitress refused to seat me by the window or at the bar, while another waitress later confirmed both options were available. What made this worse was the Chinese waitress openly stating, quite loudly, her dislike for Japanese. Well, I believe such behaviour is deeply inappropriate, especially from staff in a professional setting. This reflects a significant issue with staff training, as expressing racial biases in the workplace is completely unacceptable and disappointing. It‘s not recommended, the food is alright, but the experience takes all the attention. I still have the three towards another young lady who served me later on, she was nice. Thanks to her I could at least finish my food.

I had a very uncomfortable experience with a Chinese waitress who displayed rude and unprofessional behaviour. Shockingly, she openly expressed racial preferences and treated people differently, which was quite disgusting. It’s clear there are weird issues with the quality of restaurant management and a lack of professionalism. Unfortunately, this made it impossible to enjoy the food.

I received it on a business trip. It is conveniently located just a short walk from Frankfurt Messe. If you are used to Japanese ramen, the taste may seem a little strange to you (Japanese people have a lot more salt in it). I chose thin noodles, but later I thought it would have been better if they were flat. If you want it spicier, you can make it even spicier by adding chili oil on the table.

I visited this restaurant alone on a busy Friday evening and was offered a seat in front of the chefs preparing the noodles. The noodles were bouncy and chewy and the broth was really good. The meat pancake was a little dry and I wish it came with some sauce. Besides that I would recommend coming here. Just note if you are with more than 2 people you may have to wait as it does get very busy in the evenings but service is fast. Also they accept card which is refreshing for a restaurant in Germany!

A male employee wearing glasses was very rude! He wanted to move an empty chair at our table and shouted rudely: Oh, take away these clothes! There was also an employee who didn't pay attention when he closed the door. The door hit the back of a friend's chair...and left without looking back...for the first time, he didn't even give a tip. One star was given to the hard-working ramen chef.

We ordered three dishes but only received one sauce. After several calls, they wanted to deliver the sauces to us, but they never came. So the food was just naked noodles and of course had been cold for a long time. The staff was not at all courteous and unfriendly and only after several attempts did anything happen. We were regular customers and enjoyed eating there, but we won't do that anymore.

Fascinating pasta making technique. Firm and tasty noodles. Commercial kitchen ambience. Very very tasty, always full. But two places are always possible.
