Wow! Experience real craftsmanship live when pulling noodles - this definitely belongs on the Wiesbaden bucket list! The spicy beef broth transported us straight to Asia. Perfect after a long day of meetings!

The best Chinese noodles in Frankfurt. The noodles are freshly pulled and the restaurant is extremely well organized.

Great portion size and flavours are lovely. We had 2 mains, a side and 2 drinks and our total came out to £35. We arrived at 17:30 for the restaurant opening and there was multiple groups of people waiting and loads of takeaway orders being prepared. It’s cool to watch the noodle being made fresh.

Delicious food but unfriendly staff

You can't get fresher pasta! Very good noodles with perfect cooking point. The variety of sauces for people who eat meat is quite large, unfortunately there are fewer alternatives for vegetarians/vegans and unfortunately no vegetarian soup at all!

I reserved a table for two people for a nice lunch online, received a confirmation, even received a reminder of my confirmation and then you stand in front of closed doors at the reserved time and the staff from the inside look at you in disbelief and send you away with your arms crossed - so you gamble away my first and last attempt. Maintain your online data, opening times and the possibility of making reservations - this makes it pointless and annoys potential guests to the maximum! To put it politely: a shame.

But what I experienced today at "The Noodlemaker" sets new standards in terms of "customer service" - in a way that can probably be described as damaging to business. I just wanted to order my usual dish, which I eat there regularly (!). Unfortunately it wasn't listed on the delivery app. So I called the restaurant, naive as I was, assuming that a quick conversation could solve the problem. The manager, Ms. Yang, recommended a creative workaround: I should order another dish for the same price and write in the comments that I actually want something different. Uh… okay, that could work. There was just no other dish for the same price. Ms. Yang put this at 12.50 euros - while the desired noodles cost 11 euros on the restaurant's online PDF menu. When I politely pointed this out, I received the charming answer: “Then just order somewhere else.” Well, I thought to myself, maybe a misunderstanding. Since the restaurant is practically around the corner, I just went by in person. Curtain up: On site, Ms. Yang admitted that the online map has been out of date for ages. When I expressed my wish to simply be treated in a friendly – ​​or at least neutral – way, the next surprise came: I was banned from entering the house! For me! Just because I pointed out incorrect pricing and didn't feel like giving stupid answers! And to top it all off, she called the police – because of… yes, why? Because of my immense audacity to ask a simple question? Or because I dared not to just accept everything like a schoolboy? I didn't wait for this show to end and left. So, dear future guests of “The Noodlemaker”: Come with low expectations – or ideally, none at all. If you want unpredictable pricing, stupid answers and free contact with the police, this is the right place for you. If you just want good food and normal customer service instead, you should choose a restaurant that doesn't respond to its guests with a sacking and an emergency call.

Absolutely delicious! The broth was rich and flavorful, the noodles had the perfect texture, and the beef was tender and well-seasoned. The balance of spices and fresh herbs made every bite enjoyable. The presentation was also beautiful, served in a traditional-style bowl that enhanced the experience. Highly recommend for anyone who loves authentic, comforting noodle soup!

As a foodie I can recommend The Noodlemaker with all my heart! The food was amazing, thr service was super nice and also real fast. Our food came within 10min after ordering! I had the original Lanzhou Lamian and they were simply delicious. The fresh hand-pulled noodles with a strong and flavourful broth almost took me back to China where I last had great noodle soups like this. The portion was large but just right and perfect for a cold winter evening. My friend had the Chinese Bolognese which was also good but I would rather recommend the soups! We came on a Friday evening without reservation and there was still plenty of seating. But if you want to be safe, then book a table. Plus: If you get a seat at the counter, you can watch your noodles being pulled :-)

I am not a noodle person but their hand-pulled noodles is so fresh and tasty. Huge bowl of noodles in hot soup a perfect meal for winter. We went there twice and each time was fully packed so be sure to reserve ahead of time.

The noodles are prepared fresh in front of the customers to the desired thickness. The portions are very generous and simply delicious! If you come to 1-2, there are only seats at the long bar counter, but it was cozy and offers a perfect view of the open kitchen.

This restaurant is specializes in Lamian, and it’s one of my absolute favorites. The setting is simple yet clean and well-organized. What I appreciate most is the incredibly fast service. The noodles are freshly made right in front of you, with the chefs preparing them calmly at the center of the dining area for everyone to see. The flavors are authentic and traditional, taking me back to my time living in Asia—one of the reasons I keep coming back. The restaurant is popular with both Chinese guests and locals, as the dishes are delicate, healthy, and delicious, appealing to a wide range of tastes. In addition to Lamian (long noodles in broth with meat and a few vegetables), you can enjoy traditional appetizers. I always go for the sliced cold meat and cucumber salad—they’re absolutely fantastic. The prices are fair and very reasonable for the quality. I love this restaurant and visit whenever I can!

The only thing is that when asked if you were allowed to sit at a table, the answer was no, we should please sit at the number, I personally didn't think that was that great, but that's different for everyone. The restaurant is in a very good neighborhood and yet prices are super fair. The place itself is very warm and welcoming. The staff is friendly and attentive. Their menu choice isn't overwhelming, which is a very good sign; this way you know that they are focusing on. The simplest dish comes with three different levels of spicy and you can always select the thickness of your noodles. They prepare the noodles visible to everyone. The dish was very tasty and the portion size was perfect. Make sure to book a table ahead, since most of the time there are no tables left. I will definitely come back!

The beef noodles are handmade and authentic. Delicious in German Chinese restaurants standards. The restaurant is crowded on Friday evenings and you may need to sit at the bar.

The food is super delicious! But in the last 10 visits I've received something different than what I ordered 8 times... mostly just a different noodle size. 4 times I simply had no/hardly any vegetables in the dish.

I’m very disappointed with my recent visit. We were asked to swap tables with another family and moved to a corner, but no one came to take our order for a long time. Despite repeatedly trying to get the staff’s attention, we were ignored, while others who arrived later, including the family we swapped with, were served. When I raised this with the waiter, I was rudely told, “You must wait.” As a former regular, I will never return and will share this terrible experience with others.

The pasta dough is freshly made. The food was ready quickly and was brought to us directly. The waitress doesn't have a good overview of the guests, but comes to the table quickly when you wave at her. I was very enthusiastic about the food. I went to The Noodlemaker with my dog ​​and overall it was a mixed experience. The food was without question excellent - the homemade pasta tasted great and I was impressed by the variety of dishes. The combination of Asian flavors and modern influences was really successful. Unfortunately, the visit with the dog wasn't quite as pleasant as I had hoped. No water was offered for my dog, which is actually standard practice in dog-friendly restaurants these days. The attention of the staff on this point could also have been a little better. The atmosphere in the restaurant was still pleasant, modern and inviting, which enhanced the experience somewhat. Conclusion: It's definitely worth a visit for the great Asian cuisine. If you come with a dog, you shouldn't expect any special consideration or extras. 4/5 stars.

Nice place, good that they have the menú with photos and in English. They are pet friendly. Just the spicy was not spicy at all but great flavor.

We had a delicious noodle soup and other specialties for lunch.

In contrast to some other reviews, the beef in my soup was definitely not tender at all. In fact, it was as hard as cardboard. The soup tastes just good and there are not a lot of ingredients in the soup apart from a lot of noodles and the soup itself. I had literally 3 or 4 slim slices of beef. Maybe it is authentic, maybe not, I am not sure. But I know that I won't come back, even though I was very much looking forward to eating here because of the great reviews.

Really delicious noodles! My husband and I shared a beef wok plate. Full of flavor and fresh veggies, too. Really hit the spot on a rainy day. Service was super slow, though.

Super tasty food with comparatively large portions. The Bolognese is highly recommended! Noodles are prepared live by hand in the middle of the restaurant, very impressive. Even though the restaurant was completely full and we initially had to wait for a seat, we got the food very quickly.

Chinese noodle restaurant with freshly homemade noodles. The selection of dishes has increased over the years, but they are all variations on pasta, as the name of the restaurant suggests. Unfortunately, the increased popularity has not improved the quality of the food, but it has worsened the service, especially when it gets busier, you can't expect the friendliness you would expect. Ultimately, unfortunately not as good as it was 2-3 years ago, and there are better alternatives in Frankfurt.

I love this store. A friend and I were in Frankfurt for three days and were here twice. The peanut noodles look unimpressive at first, but are absolutely amazing. It's also really a huge portion for the price. Also, hand pulled noodles?? Count me in!! The waiter was also an absolute mouse. The only disadvantage is that it gets crowded and crowded really quickly and you don't have much space.

We tried this restaurant during our lunch break while visiting a trade fair in Frankfurt and were very satisfied. It was a perfect stop for a delicious snack with an emphasis on the homemade pasta. The soups had a distinctive Asian flavor and were served very quickly, allowing us to return to the fair in time. For a quick visit and a delicious soup, I can definitely recommend this restaurant.

It's a shame :( this was our second time there. The first time we didn't like the food but we wanted to try it again because I heard that the menu had changed. The food was delicious, unfortunately my noodles were a bit overweight but the beef broth was powerful and combined well with the acidity of the cabbage. Top! The Bolognese was also very tasty and the pasta was al dente. Unfortunately the service was catastrophic! A lady was very nice to us but the waiter was so annoyed and unfriendly. We came with a small child and a stroller. The waiter somehow didn't like it. No smiles or thanks or nothing please. He even makes the hot soup over the stroller where my 3 month old baby was. Because he was annoyed that I put a chair on the side so that the stroller could lie next to him. I'm glad that didn't happen. But I wouldn't recommend it at all to families with children. It's a shame because the food was very good. But a zero for service.

It is recommended that you choose the third thin noodles. The second thin noodles are a bit thicker. It is delicious. It has to be Lanzhou Ramen.

Nice restaurant, the special thing is of course the cooking area in the middle, where the pasta is freshly made by hand. The service wasn't overly friendly and seemed slightly annoyed. We found the food good but sometimes a bit bland. Considering the prices for a bowl of noodles, we didn't think it was worth repeating. What's great, of course, is that you can choose the type of pasta and you can sit in the restaurant in a slightly different way. For us, the fun factor outweighs the taste.

The restaurant used to be really good, but the price-performance ratio is simply no longer right. The beef was extremely stringy and unpleasant to eat. The noodles and vegetables were delicious. However, 15 EUR for pasta and a few pieces of stringy meat is too much in my opinion. Here you can get much better food from other very good Asian restaurants for the same money.

Wow finally saw how to "swing" Chinese noodle again. Fast, friendly and especially very, very tasty.

It was a packed Sunday night but my Bolognese udon noodles arrived within minutes. The serving size is very decent, the noodles were thick, chewy and flavoursome. Lovely staff - friendly and happy to help.

The food was very tasty but unfortunately there was only one vegetarian meal and otherwise only beef. The service was ok too, it just took a while for a waiter to come and take our order. The noodles are freshly made and you can even watch them being made, which I think is very cool. We sat outside because it was too overcrowded inside and you could only sit at the bar tables. It was such a surprise for the international students to eat such authentic Lanzhou Ramen in Frankfurt! The handmade ramen has a very strong texture and the beef is also very tasty. It feels like you have returned to your hometown. Highly recommended to all friends who miss the taste of hometown!

**Not suitable for nor friendly to families with small kids.** We’ve been here many times and know how busy it can get so we always make a reservation. We were a party of 6 and arrived an hour earlier than our reservation thinking that there shouldn’t be a problem moving it up. There was a table in the back for 6 reserved for 6:30 and it would’ve been perfect for us because we have small kids and the rest of the seating in the restaurant are all high chairs /bar stools. They insisted that the table in the back was not for our party of 6 but for another reservation that called much earlier and made us sit in the high chairs close to the open door with cold air blowing in. Closer to 6:30 a party of 5 adults came in. They said they called 20 min ago and was told to just come in. And guess what, they sat them down at the table in the back that was supposedly for another party that reserved “much earlier”. When I pointed it out, the manager insisted that that was for them when I clearly heard the guest say when they came in that they just called. Not only did they not apologise, the manager just ignored me. My family and I will never come back.

The handmade noodles are truly excellent. It was the most delicious Chinese noodles I've ever had in Germany. The taste of the soup is average, and it is very light and not spicy, probably because it is tailored to Western tastes. If you think about local malatang, you may be disappointed. If you go during crowded times, it has a market-like atmosphere, so it's not an atmosphere where you can sit quietly and chat. Rather, it is a good atmosphere for a light meal alone. (Gusuji: The chicken and tofu in red pepper oil that tasted like Mala was mediocre. It's different from the local taste and there are too many peanuts. Not recommended unless you're really hungry.) Visited more than 5 times in total as of October 2024. I was very disappointed with the response of the German woman who gave me the wrong menu and didn't even apologize, saying, "Then can I bring you some pickled vegetables (an ingredient that should be in the noodles)?" Employees like this don't help the store's image. The price has also risen a lot. I hope the service improves as the price increases.

After I ordered my food, the waitress forgot to tell the kitchen. After another 10 minutes I had to reorder my food. I will never visit this restaurant again. It's all chaos on Friday.
