The noodlemaker in Wiesbaden

Their ramen is really delicious. I've been eating there for a few years and I can say it tastes better than many ramen restaurants in China. I highly recommend the standard beef noodles or the spicy beef noodles. The hand-pulled noodles are delicious and even the soup is tasty. I've seen the price go up from 11 to 13 per bowl. 😭 But compared to their side dishes, they taste just average.

We ordered two noodle dishes and the cucumber salad via Uber Eats. The Lamian wok with beef tasted like a neutral oil. The Chinese Bolognese was also rather mediocre and tasted like a pre-made seasoning mix. The cucumber salad was delicious, but too expensive. I really wish I could write a better review.

Hongshao, a hearty beef soup with pak choi, spring onions, and beef, and the great taste of the homemade noodles for €14.80 was sensationally delicious.

Unfortunately, this restaurant's service is very slow, even for Germany standards. The beef skewers were dry and chewy, the mushroom skewers were undercooked. Over 30 minutes to order for our party of 3 is unacceptable. The potential for being exceptional is there but the service was below standard.

We've been there twice and eaten something different each time, always coming home full and happy. The staff are very friendly. Everything is served very quickly and tastes extremely good. Everything is very clean – even the restrooms.

The food is okay, tasty, but nothing special if you frequent Chinese cuisine. Our visit was moderate, and the food is also something where you're hardly served because everything comes out at once. However, it must be said that there's hardly anything else in Wiesbaden that's as authentic as this Asian restaurant. It's more of a quick bite to eat between meals, and a nice place if you want to chat.

It was a woman who was responsible for greeting guests, taking orders, and cashing that afternoon. Unfortunately, her behavior toward the guests was extremely unprofessional. She gave the impression that people owed her something personally, rather than being welcomed as a paying guest. During working hours, she frequently stood around idly or chatted extensively with colleagues instead of attending to guests. This type of behavior not only harms the service experience but can also significantly impact the reputation and revenue of the establishment. As a guest, you expect attentiveness, friendliness, and respect—not indifference or even rudeness. I would therefore like to ask you to take this feedback seriously and take appropriate measures to improve the quality of service in your restaurant. I like that more and more Lamian restaurants are opening, and The Noodlemaker is definitely among the top. During my visit, it wasn't busy, so there was plenty of space, it was very quiet, and I was able to sit by the window. The food arrived very quickly and was exactly as expected, with a very diverse flavor, unlike many other restaurants, yet still familiar if you've indulged in Chinese cuisine outside of buffet Asian restaurants. (Nothing against buffet temples, they're just unfortunately very one-sided.) What I really like is that you can choose the type of noodle you want to go with your noodle dishes, and extras are also readily available. The menu offers a lot of variety, and you can decide whether you want to enjoy a special, a large main course, or many smaller side dishes. I opted for a mix and had absolutely no regrets; the fried tomatoes may sound simple, but they're guaranteed to explode with flavor in your mouth. All of this was rounded off by friendly service, very quick and courteous, as well as a not too intrusive ambiance, which takes you away from your everyday life for a moment.

There are four adults and two children in our group. We ordered two bowls of braised beef noodles, one bowl of Lanzhou hand-pulled noodles, and a few small dishes. The braised beef was very tender and delicious, and the preserved tofu was tasty too. It was amazing—we’ll definitely come back next time!

The food was really tasty, I really enjoyed it! The portions were a bit large, and unfortunately I couldn't take anything with me, or at least it wasn't offered to me. But overall everything was great! A little note: it would be nice if the staff asked how the food was. I would have liked to have said it on the spot that it was really good!

I usually come during off-peak hours and it's nice and quiet. The service is really excellent then. The food is ready super quickly and always tastes really good. I love the aloe vera juice. Unfortunately, the chairs are incredibly uncomfortable.

Holy crap, we have tried so many noodle shops in germany and the states. It's not a michelin star restaurant but damn does it have the best noodles we've ever had so far. We're definitely coming back more often and will highly recommend this place to our friends!! Thank you to the staff! So worth the stop in.

I've been going there on and off for years, and I've ordered from there several times. The quality and uniqueness of this restaurant continue to impress.

I love this place so much. First, the atmosphere. I love how spacious and cozy it is, especialy when you can people watch from the full glass windows overlooking the ground floor of the mall. Secondly, the food. I tried several dishes, but I love their Youpo Lamian (with 3D noodle) with beef the most. My second favorite is their newly limited spicy beef noodle soup. I hope they make this dish permanent to the menu. Also in 3D noodle. I tried their other noodle types but 3D suits me the best because it has some interesting texture and bite to it. The noodle soup is not the best I’ve tried in my life, but the beef inside the soup is amongst the most tender it can get. But the Youpo lamian is better than other dry lamians I’ve tried. I also especially love how affordable the food is yet one portion can fit almost 2 people.

Feedback: I ordered two meat skewers today, and they were supposed to send three skewers each. What I got, which is an absolute disgrace, was five small pieces of meat, and I paid €13 for them. When I wanted to return it and get my money back, I was simply referred to Lieferando. This is the last straw, and I'll be posting about it everywhere. See you... If I could give zero stars, you would have gotten them. Don't go there. Never again... the very last straw. According to the Lieferando website, you get your money back from the store where you ordered if you return the item. See photos. Noodlemaker Wiesbaden should do more research before using a service.

I've eaten a lot of noodles, including in China, but yours are definitely the tastiest I've ever tasted! I especially recommend the triangle noodles; they're simply amazing. Keep it up, I'll be back!

I opted for the Chinese Bolognese, but unfortunately, it was served without potatoes and cucumbers. The server also didn't ask me which type of noodle I'd like. The portion was okay, but I was hoping for a bit more. When the server finally arrived, I tipped her at the end, but she didn't say "thank you." She pocketed it without a word. At that moment, I regretted tipping her. Therefore, it was my first and last time there.

The best noodles in Wiesbaden and the surrounding area! Definitely go there yourself; the fresh noodles are amazing, especially when eaten in person. A 10/10 for me every time, and super authentic!

Very disappointing. The waitress hardly spoke any sensible German sentences, only a single word, and only answered “yes” or “no”. Important questions about allergens such as gluten or glutamate were not understood. Food full of flavor enhancers, hardly eaten. No apology or demand. just quietly cashed in In addition, the round table smelled strongly of fresh paint, which was very unpleasant. Unfortunately not recommended.

Super delicious food at fair prices. There were four of us here and we all ordered something different. Various varieties made in-house, mostly as a soup. Sometimes with meat, sometimes vegetarian. We were all thrilled. The food looks very tasty in the beautiful Asian bowls. And it tastes the same too. I had wok noodles in a soup with beef, slightly spicy. Cost just under €15. The portion was enough to fill you up. There is nothing to complain about in terms of service.

Was visiting Wiesbaden and went to The Noodlemaker for lunch because of the wok menu offered. Did not like the experience much. Beef wok did not taste like a dish prepared in the wok at all. Plain noodles, little meat, raw vegetables, almost no sauce. My friends ordered two beers among other things. They got a short instead of tall for one. And had to remind twice before they got the second one.

Great variety of noodle dishes. I had the Mala Lamian — spicy but flavorful, just the way I like it. The beef was tender and the pak choi added a nice crunch.

If you're into dry noodles, try the Youpo Lamian! Wide, chewy noodles with garlic and chili oil — so simple yet so addictive.

A lovely restaurant with a great idea. Unfortunately, the appetizer was an overcooked, brown, tasteless egg, extremely sweet fried tomatoes (should it be like that), and poorly prepared gyjos. I wouldn't recommend the noodle soup. The noodles were tasty, but unfortunately, the noodles were just wobbly and flavorless. The service was very friendly, though. It was nice to be able to watch the noodles being prepared.

The food is incredibly delicious every time. For me and my family, the hour-long drive there is always worth it. There are many different ways to enjoy the noodles. We usually go for the classic Lanzhou Lamian with different noodle widths, depending on everyone's preference. The drink portions are a bit small, but that's not a problem, since you can just slurp the soup.

The taste is authentic and overall better than Fran's. The chef of the ramen is attentive, the thickness of the ramen is exactly as described, the cooked noodles are well cooked and the portion is full. The boss is very enthusiastic. We couldn't find a seat and called to ask, but the boss came to pick us up personally. The store has a clean and tidy environment with beautiful decoration. It is much more spacious than Fran's store, so there is no pressure at all when taking children to eat. The only drawback is that the soup is a bit salty and it feels like a little too much MSG is added. Overall, I give it a 4.5.

First and last time. Ordered lamian wok dishes and cucumber salad. Positive: The noodles, great consistency. Otherwise, 15€ for a portion of butter noodles, there was no hint of Asian taste. The cucumber salad was simply half a cucumber chopped up in a clear, sweet sauce, like sugar water. Not inedible but nothing more.

Was a bit lost in the Mall. We called them, ask where to find the store. The chef even came downstairs and picked us up. In terms of noodle, it’s just high quality. Comparable to what you get in China. We can baby chair and cutlery. The chef asked several times if we need anything. I feel warm welcomed. Highly recommend.

I was very disappointed with this place. First of all, they forgot to bring me my beer, but they still charged me for it. I paid in cash, but never received a receipt. Be careful! I ordered a portion of noodles and skewered meat. The noodles were a large portion, but the meat was so thin that it was almost transparent. It looked like there was a lot of meat, but in reality, there was barely any. The broth was decent, and that’s the only positive thing I can say. The skewered meat was absolutely terrible. I haven’t had such tough, overly spiced meat in over 10 years. It was almost impossible to chew. The worst part was the service. No one apologized for forgetting my order, and they didn’t even ask why I left most of my food untouched. I wasted 20 euros and left hungry and angry. I absolutely do not recommend this place! Think twice before coming here.

This noodle shop is just outside Sbahn. It is on the second floor of the shopping mall. The noodles are all freshly pulled. You can choose the texture you like, thick or thin, and very chewy. The beef skewers are very tender, and the snowflake fries are the children's favorite. The cucumbers are very refreshing. Their waiters are very friendly and enthusiastic. If you like noodles, I recommend their fried noodles and fried noodles. You can choose beef noodles for soup noodles.

I was particularly impressed by the homemade selection of drinks, especially the refreshing iced tea. The staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive, making the entire visit even more enjoyable. The soup I ordered was simply fantastic, and the side dishes were also excellent in taste. Even the cutlery is stylishly designed and underlines the authentic atmosphere. Another highlight was the flower tea at the end, which was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. Both the food and the entire ambience are at the highest level. It's always a pleasure to eat here - be it on site or ordering something to take home. It's also a healthy and balanced choice, far removed from typical fast food. Highly recommend the saliva chicken. The chicken is very tender and cooked just right. It is an authentic cooking method.

A somewhat mixed experience. At first the service ignored us for some time until we drew attention to ourselves by waving very strongly. Unfortunately, a (vegetarian) dish that most of us wanted was no longer available. The food came extremely quickly, the portions were huge. Unfortunately, the taste of the dishes was mixed, the noodles for example. Sometimes very dry and stuck together in lumps. A lot of chili oil helps those who like spicy food ;-) the tofu was great. Ambiance corresponding to a (closed) restaurant in the shopping center.

The noodlemaker at Lilli in Wiesbaden has a good selection of freshly pulled noodles and sauces. The dishes are freshly prepared and it is also possible to watch the noodles being pulled. The noodles can be ordered in different thicknesses. The service was attentive but sometimes a bit overwhelmed given the busy restaurant. The atmosphere is that of a shopping center.

Compared with any Lanzhou ramen restaurant in China, it is substandard. The ramen didn't spring at all and the soup didn't taste right. Really unauthentic.

Noodles where overcooked and the dish was dry. No sauce at all. When I tried to say something I was ignored for 20 minutes. Dumplings lacked flavor and were raw. I ve had the same dish in their Frankfurt Location and loved it. Totally different experience

I've been to the location in Frankfurt multiple times and loved it. This was my first time in at the Wiesbaden location. I was beyond disappointed. My mom and I both ordered the bolognese and both were completely dry! My noodles were also over cooked. When we asked the waiter if we could take my moms to go he just took the dish before we even finished talking. We wanted to tell him that we didn't like our dishes but he barely acknowledged us. When we left my mom threw out her dish cause it wasn't worth it because of how rude the waiter was. It'll be a long time before we go back to the Wiesbaden location.
