I thought you couldn't go wrong with a cheeseburger and fries... the burger was still raw inside! I didn't get a new one. For dessert, I ordered the lava cake (€9!!!). It was the smallest cake I've ever seen, and it came with half a scoop (!) of ice cream! Once and never again!

It's a shame, the place is actually really nice, but my visit yesterday, October 24th, around 11:30 p.m. was very disappointing. I was there with a friend, and the waitress (not the tall one) was extremely rude and completely ignored us, even though the place wasn't particularly busy. Her behavior was disrespectful and completely inappropriate towards customers. I've rarely experienced anything like that; it's truly disappointing! I hope management takes this behavior seriously, because this is how you lose regular customers.

We were there for the second time because we wanted to give the store another chance after a rather disappointing first visit, but after this behavior, we won't give it a third. If we could, we would give it negative points.

A very pleasant restaurant, a bit outside the city center. Friendly staff, always smiling. Ordering and serving were quick (less than 20 minutes), probably because it was relatively empty at lunchtime. Prices are absolutely reasonable for today's times. The food was very tasty and the quantity was plentiful. I'd be happy to go back.

The breakfast selection is extremely attractive, making it almost difficult to decide quickly. We opted for the breakfast carousel for four people. However, at the table, we noticed that the dishes weren't always precisely tailored to four portions. Upon inquiry, we were told that smaller portions are deliberately served to avoid food waste. We find this sustainable approach very positive. However, it would have been nice if this had been mentioned during service. The scrambled eggs arrived a little late, but, like the rest of the breakfast, they were fresh and delicious. It would have been particularly nice if coffee could be ordered in larger cups for a longer brunch. The staff was friendly and immediately accommodated our request to change seats, even if the greeting upon entry seemed a bit reserved. The restrooms were clean, but the area directly next to the kitchen preparation area didn't appear particularly hygienic. Overall, it was a very delicious and pleasant breakfast experience with some room for improvement.

Very nice place, fast service and very good shisha

Great and friendly staff - lovely ambiance and delicious food - highly recommended. We were there for breakfast and have rarely had such a good, plentiful, and delicious meal, and we'll definitely be back. Only the parking on the weekends was a bit of a challenge 🤣

I ate there today and was very disappointed with the service. I even showed the waitress a picture of my order, but she didn't look at it. Despite repeated explanations, she brought me the wrong dish and embarrassed me in front of my friends by blaming me. Only when I showed her the picture did she open her eyes wide – but there was no apology. In the end, I had to eat the wrong dish anyway, even though I wanted something else. It also tasted disappointing: unsalted and not good. I've never been treated so rudely and disrespectfully in a restaurant. The waitress (dark blonde hair, braid) was absolutely rude.

Presumably it's a nice brunch place but the service at dinner was very poor. We waited an hour without any service and I could see the staff just hanging around the bar and there weren't enough staff. The staff just dumped the plates for food and dessert on the table without giving it to the right person. We had to wait a long time for dessert after ordering and the waitress left the table before people could order drinks. Overall, I don't plan to come back and I think it's worth 2.5 stars at best.

A very disappointing visit. We wanted to go to the rooftop terrace, but the waitress simply turned us away without explaining that it would only be possible 10 minutes later because she wouldn't be alone by then. We would have liked to have known this information beforehand, then we would have simply waited a bit. Instead, we received only an unfriendly "no," and when we asked, the employee became quite rude. For a café that advertises a beautiful rooftop terrace, this is truly poor service. We certainly won't be back.

The Loft has a beautiful roof terrace, but you're not allowed to eat there. The explanation was, "Shisha is smoked here." Even though we had smokers with us, it wasn't possible. The food is delicious and very well prepared. The cook brought one dish maybe 1.5 minutes later than the others and apologized personally, which we didn't mind. The other two waiters who served us were rather lackadaisical, and we felt a bit intrusive rather than welcome.

Good experience but a little bit on the expensive end

Very disappointed. Prices are very high for less food. Unwashed glasses and half full. The place has become a very bad place. Non-alcoholic cocktails also taste like water. A real shame.

Apparently, the place has been taken over by a new owner. Personally, it used to be unbeatable, but now the once-great spritzers are made with a powder. The Bürger no longer offers a variety of breads, and they don't taste as fresh as they did in the early days. Unfortunately, a profiteer is at work here again.

Six of us were there today. Five drinks arrived at once, one only after we asked for it. There was no apology. The employee seemed generally unfriendly and disinterested. The service was disappointing overall. We wouldn't go back. Nice place, bad service.

I went there last night with my daughter for dinner. We were served by a very hard-working, friendly, and courteous young lady. The second waitress also came over to check if everything was okay. We got our food quickly and were very happy with it. It was delicious and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was clean and appealing. Everything had an industrial feel. A large, beautiful loft. Everything was very modern and well-thought-out. You scan the menu with your smartphone, which is a really cool feature; you can always check what's available, and it's more hygienic too. We'll definitely be back!!

We visited the Loft for the first time yesterday and were thrilled. The service was very friendly and kept asking if everything was okay or if we needed anything else. The food was a 10 out of 10. We were pleasantly surprised. Tastefully decorated and furnished. A bit modern, a bit industrial chic, with some great historical décor elements. We had burgers. Very tasty. The homemade lemonades, spritzers, and iced teas are highly recommended. The prices are definitely on the high side for the type of food, steep for middle-class earners. Hence, one star deducted. But the price/performance ratio is good when you consider the ambiance and the great service. We'd be happy to come back.

The Loft in Wuppertal really impressed me! I tried the burger, the San Sebastian cheesecake, and spaghetti there. The food was tasty, if not outstanding, but the quality was good. The prices are a bit high, but the chic, modern ambiance and overall great atmosphere more than make up for it. The service was also impeccable—friendly and attentive.

Always good! We went to The Loft again with 15 people, and everything went quickly and smoothly. The burgers are easy to customize, and thanks to the hot plate they're served on, everything stays warm for a long time. Truly delicious. Friendly service, always attentive and on the ball! The Breakfast Carousel is a bit pricey at €22 per person, but absolutely filling and delicious. The products have flavor, unlike other places. The Breakfast Carousel is also more worthwhile than picking individual items from the menu. The service is friendly and quick. The ambiance is also very inviting and cozy.

The burgers were below average. The prices were too high.

The shop presents itself attractively. However, the service could be improved. We had to wait 30 minutes for our order, which only included drinks and three shisha pipes, to be taken. The drinks were served after another 30 minutes, although the first shisha pipe had already been delivered. The second shisha pipe followed 20 minutes late, while the third shisha pipe never arrived despite being ordered. The shop leaves much to be desired.

I was there with a group. We ordered appetizer platters. These were delivered without serving cutlery, even though it was clear that more than one person would eat them. The dips were also missing spoons, so everyone had to use their own cutlery to help themselves. I then ordered a Good Life Bowl. Unfortunately, the falafel was way too salty, and as a result, I wasn't really satisfied with the rest, which was quite dry because there wasn't enough tzatziki. After the meal, I wasn't asked if I enjoyed it, even though I didn't eat quite a bit. Furthermore, every time the upstairs door opened, a revolting shisha smell filled the restaurant, which got worse as the evening progressed, so I finally found a seat at our table near the large open window. I also didn't like the service because I wasn't asked if I wanted anything else to drink. So we ended up with very few drinks and, unfortunately, very little food either. I won't go there anymore.

It wasn't possible to reserve a table; there was smoking somewhere, which I found unpleasant smells while eating. The food was good value for money; it was delicious and plentiful. Unfortunately, the waitress was completely overwhelmed. They delivered the wrong breakfast, poured a latte all over me, and I had to request a replacement. The drinks we ordered were completely forgotten, and when we went to get the bill 40 minutes later, we had to make sure the drinks that hadn't been delivered were canceled because they had already been added to the table. A simple apology and a few wet wipes were all that mattered to the waitress for the dirty clothes. And the head waitress only showed up to pay. I paid almost 70 euros for 3 breakfasts with a latte and orange juice, and the cleaning of my wool jacket was on top of that. I had expected top-notch service from such an inn. I'm disappointed!

This is our favorite place in the area! I adore it and come here almost every week. For breakfast, for dinner and just for coffee and dessert! The San Sebastian dessert is incredibly delicious here, very tender and soft structure, always fresh and perfect every time! And the food is pure pleasure! Every time I fall in love with their pasta again. That is why we always choose this cafe among many others without hesitation. This cafe with delicious dishes and good service has won my heart. I recommend it 100% ❤️

More appearance than reality - we won't be coming back! The Loft in Wuppertal is highly praised on social media - our expectations were correspondingly high. The pretty setting is really beautiful, but unfortunately that was the only positive thing about our visit on Mother's Day. Despite multiple attempts - by email (no response) and by telephone (unfriendly) - a reservation was apparently not possible. So we were there right when it opened. Then there was the surprise: some seats were reserved and we weren't allowed to choose a table. This was told to us in an extremely unkind manner. Our critical questions about this resulted in us being ignored at the table for 45 minutes. The hot drinks only came after another long wait - bland, without coffee cream, sugar or biscuits. The food took almost another hour to arrive. By now the coffee had long been empty and was actually more like lunchtime than breakfast time. The portions – especially the ones in the pretty little pans – were actually tiny. The service was inattentive and incomplete orders were brought. The salad garnish was limp and apparently unwashed. The orange juice was fresh, but contained a lot of seeds - hardly drinkable. A mini muesli on the breakfast plate was supposed to be eaten with a fork, there was no spoon. Overall everything was loveless. A napkin was placed under each glass instead of a coaster - not very sustainable. And to make matters worse: card payments are not possible. The hype seems to be solely due to the beautiful appearance - disappointing in terms of cuisine and service. It's a shame about the special occasion and the long journey that our older companions had to take. Definitely the first and last time for us!

We were in your café today and actually wanted to enjoy a nice and relaxed breakfast moment. Unfortunately, we were treated extremely unfriendly by an employee (whether a waitress or an administrator, we're not sure). She spoke to us in a completely condescending tone and made us feel unwelcome. We felt really uncomfortable and finally decided to leave without ordering anything. It's a real shame because the café actually looks nice and we were looking forward to breakfast. But such treatment doesn't work at all. Maybe it would be good if your team paid more attention to friendly and respectful interactions.

We made a reservation for 20 people and got a table for 12 people. When we asked, we were told we should sit separately because there wasn't enough capacity?! Unprofessional and rude.

Fantastic. Really. Everything is right here. Divine coffee. Very tasty breakfast. All the employees, really everyone on both visits I've been there, are very friendly and always have a smile. Always politely ask if everything is okay without being intrusive. The furnishings are in a beautiful, exclusive industrial style. Fantastic. There are so many beautiful things to see here. The prices are humane. We/I hardly had to wait at all for food. As a special feature, there is a vending machine in the toilet downstairs where you can get a whole exclusive fragrance for your palm/or neck for one euro. Conclusion: If you want to be king as a guest, want to eat great food and drink heavenly coffee, you are in good hands here. I'm guaranteed to be a regular.

Extremely long waiting times on site and unfriendly service.

One of the best restaurants in Wuppertal! Despite the store being full, food comes super quickly, the waitresses are always more than friendly and fulfill all your wishes, it tastes good, is fresh, and the toilets are clean. Would recommend it to anyone who wants to eat sweet or salty food in Wuppertal or simply wants something to drink.

The food (breakfast) was really delicious. Great selection of food and the prices are ok too. Unfortunately we had to wait more than 20 minutes for the bill, even though the store wasn't even half full and we had said several times that we had to go. When we were finally allowed to pay, the waitress was also unfriendly. We also found it very cold in the restaurant, which didn't make the wait any better. Food great, service flop!

Today we went to a late team breakfast with 12 colleagues. We all really liked everything and tasted great, starting with the great ambience of this location, very nice and friendly service, great food and the breakfast Ferris wheel was also very nicely prepared. All in all a great event in a great location! Keep it up...we'd love to come back!!!

Unfortunately I had a very bad experience with the service. We wanted to celebrate our friend's JGA there, but it got soggy because we had the almost empty liqueur bottle with us. Of course we put the bottle aside. She still felt in a position to become very rude and abusive. Unfortunately, she served a lot of clichés and prejudices. This went far beyond unprofessionalism. It's a mystery to me how one can work in service with such social behavior. I've never experienced anything so outrageous. She didn't let up and kept going. I then decided not to say anything more because the JGA and we didn't want to break up the group. We didn't eat, but left the place and went to a very nice restaurant nearby. I couldn't believe how many bad reviews there were about this service, but now I understand where they're coming from. Will never go there again.

It was so cold that it was uncomfortable and many guests put their hats and jackets back on. Reason for this: the door on the upper floor is constantly being opened and closed by smokers. Staff doesn't know their own menu, standard drinks such as Kölsch and Weizen non-alcoholic were not available. Definitely not recommended in winter. So you can only enjoy the food in summer.

We spontaneously went there for breakfast today with my fiancé and my sister-in-law. The breakfast, the service, everything was top. We felt very comfortable. The waitress was very nice. The food was very tasty, it was very clean, the atmosphere was right. I would eat there again and definitely recommend it.
