The Italian Shot in München

An exceptionally attentive server. We were served by Giovana. She did a fantastic job. However, it wasn't pleasant to see her as the only employee running the entire place on her own. However, she handled it brilliantly! The service you'd expect! Worth its weight in gold. The food and ambiance were excellent. A truly lovely evening.

Amazing service! The food was great, wine was very good. But the best part of this restaurant was the staff. Anna and Lena were friendly, funny, helpful and welcoming. They made the whole experience very enjoyable and we will certainly recommend this place to our friends in London. Both me and my partner were blown away with how lovely they both were and they are an asset to the restaurant. Pizzas were also 10/10!! Thanks guys for a fun night :)

I ordered two meals online. Only one arrived. No one answered the phone for 30 minutes. The amount was debited. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!

Never pick up food! We ordered two pizzas and two salads and were surprised when we picked them up that no pizza chef was present. The result: the salad was unwashed and covered in dirt. The pizza had been in the oven far too short and was drowning in tomato sauce.

Very tasty pizza, and the atmosphere also won me over! I'm from out of town, but I'll be back. ☺️

Very attentive, friendly service. I immediately felt at home here. The pizza is exactly how I want an Italian pizza. Crispy crust, wafer-thin inside, high-quality ingredients, great taste. The pasta on my second visit was also perfect, with homemade pasta. My only minor criticism: the knives are too blunt for the crispy crust of the pizza. Still, full marks, I'll be back.

I often come here with the NeoTaste app; they have a 2 for 1 pizza deal. Definitely my favorite place for pizzas; a good selection and really delicious. I've tried everything and have been happy with everything so far :) The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is good; it's nicely decorated. A short walk from Sendlinger Tor, a lovely, quiet area.

I reserved a table at short notice. It worked out. The restaurant turned out to be quite busy with only a few seats available. I got a table on the covered terrace (with a heat lamp). I shared a salad with goat cheese, pear, and figs as a starter. What can I say: I was surprised by the very good dressing, which I think is a weak point at some Italian restaurants. The classic pizza with Parma ham, arugula, and Parmesan cheese. Excellent! Thin crust in the middle with a fluffy crust. I'd go back.

We ate here a while ago and had a pizza tartufo and a lasagna. Both dishes were very good. I found the pizza dough very tasty and fluffy. I also thought it was a good price/performance ratio. The service was friendly and attentive. The restaurant's ambiance is very nice. In the summer, you can enjoy the sun outside while eating :)

We love this small, intimate pizzeria, which offers pizzas with a difference. Of particular note, however, is the warm and friendly team around Anna, Nik, and Ronja, who run the place with great charm and passion. We've now become regular customers. We also like to stop by just for a glass of wine. I highly recommend the Italian Shot in Glockenbach.

I ate there with my husband on May 15, 2025. Unfortunately, we were immediately ignored upon arrival. The waitress was rude and seemed annoyed because we didn't want a drink. No smile, just her phone in her hand. As we left, no thank you, no goodbye, just a dirty look. My "La Bufala" was truly delicious, one of the best pizzas I've ever eaten. My husband's tuna pizza, on the other hand, was disappointing. It's a shame – good food doesn't help when the service is so unpleasant.

Disappointing experience – Service rude, Buffalo top, Tina Tuna flop (Visit on May 15, 2025) We visited this restaurant for the first time on May 15, 2025 – unfortunately, it was also our last visit. Upon arrival, we were ignored: We stood at the entrance for several minutes, waiting to be seated, but the waitress was completely disinterested. No "hello," no welcome – just an annoyed "Yes, sit down anywhere" when we tried to start a conversation ourselves. It was more reminiscent of a snack bar than a restaurant. When we then said we didn't want anything to drink, the waitress quickly became unfriendly and almost aggressive. During the entire visit, there was no smile, no polite tone – instead, she was typing on her phone. We felt very uncomfortable. The worst of it: When we didn't leave a tip when paying (which was to be expected given their behavior), we weren't even told "goodbye" – just an aggressive look as we left. Our appeal to management: Please teach this employee basic etiquette. Such behavior is disrespectful and completely out of place. About the food: I had the "Tina Tuna" because I'm a big fan of tuna pizza. Unfortunately, it was disappointing – lacking in flavor and nothing like a good tuna pizza. My wife's "La Bufala," on the other hand, was excellent! Fresh, flavorful, and by far the best Bufala pizza we've ever eaten. Conclusion: Great food (at least at Bufala), but disastrous service. Without friendly staff, even the best cuisine is useless. Unfortunately, we can't recommend the restaurant.

Everything here is great. Super friendly service, unusual and extremely delicious pizza variations, and a small but fine selection of appetizers. The atmosphere is relaxed and very cozy. The large candles on the tables create a wonderful mood. Since the restaurant is rather small, be sure to make a reservation.

Unbelievable, it's 10:55 PM and we go in, the two women simply say, "It's closed." "There hasn't been a customer in an hour." Well then... just close a few hours earlier, great.

We were the only guests in the restaurant, but we still had to wait a long time until we could order and an even longer wait until the food came (over 50 minutes). At least pizza was good. I still wouldn't go again.

After a long time, we were drawn back to the Italian Shot - in anticipation of an evening with pizza, pasta and at least a touch of Italian hospitality. Instead, we witnessed a textbook example of Germany's service desert - with sideshows such as the minimalist side salad and a service that was socialized in hospitality in the Arctic region rather than in the heart of Italy. The reception? Reserved until reluctant. The map? With a new price range – and unfortunately significantly reduced portions. In terms of size and filling value, my pizza was more like an ambitious biscuit. In Naples it would probably be a case for the culinary authorities. The lasagna? Fits visually and quantitatively in a child's hand. The side salad with radicchio and radishes should be a glimmer of hope - at least according to the menu. What was actually served was a small handful of sad-looking lettuce from Tupperware hell: five carrot slices so thin that you could almost only feel them, not see them. Radish? None. Raddicchio? Apparently disappeared on a diplomatic mission. When I asked the waiter about it, I received a matter-of-fact answer that the radicchio and radishes were out - and that I should please make do with the substitute salad offered. The fact that this “information” was not communicated when ordering was met with a shrug of the shoulders. Return? Impossible – I would have already eaten a forkful. My mistake, of course I should have done a botanical inventory first. As compensation, I was generously offered a single cherry tomato – yes, you read that right. What remains? An experience that doesn't make you angry, but rather sad. Sad, because Italian Shot had the potential to be a reliable feel-good place in the district - culinary, atmospheric, human. Instead, you get the feeling that guests are viewed as a necessary evil that needs to be dealt with quickly. No accommodation, no empathy, no class. I hope that the Italian Shot team not only rethinks the pricing model or, alternatively, the portion model, but also the understanding of values. Because if you spread radicchio, you should at least serve it with warmth and style.

Pizza was delicious, we particularly liked the tiramisu. It was a shame that the waiter pointed out the time frame of the reservation (2 hours) several times and we felt very under pressure as a result. We ended up finishing 1 hour before the reservation ended.

I have never received such a small pizza in Munich. I ordered a regular pizza and received a children's pizza. No Neapolitan pizza is that small. An attempt is made to save on ingredients at the customer's expense. In addition, the pizza arrived cold. Fortunately, there are many great alternatives in Munich

Nothing for a lot of money - micro pizza for €17!!! Unfortunately, that wasn't any fun at all! Impudence! I'm just assuming that they take this customer feedback seriously and think carefully about whether they want to rip off their customers or please them.

Had our best pizza in a long time! With mozzarella, gorgonzola, pine nuts and figs, my pizza was very special but will definitely be remembered. Not to mention the dough, which was extremely fluffy and still left plenty of space for the toppings. If it hadn't been this pizza, it would have been one with salsiccia and gorgonzola, which also looked very strong. In general, the menu is very extensive, so that you are almost forced to come back.

The pizza is really delicious, one of the best in Munich. I'm glad it's not a Neapolitan one with a big rim, there are too many of them now. You can taste every ingredient, very aromatic and delicious. The service was nice, but it all took a while because the store is extremely narrow and small. The tables are also very narrow and small, everything is placed next to each other, which isn't really my thing.

Ordered food to take away. The waitress came up and let me order and pay straight away. Food was delicious. Fresh flavours on the pizza. The dough was delightfully soft on the inside with a good crust. The beef lasagna was exactly what I’ve been dreaming of. I’ll be back for a sit down meal in the future.

For €14 you get a medium salad with very salty “vegan tuna” and not even bread. There used to be mega sticks... Unfortunately we won't be coming anymore ✌🏼 (Pizza is not rated)

There used to be very good pizza here from Italian pizza makers and also good service - I was there twice a week for several years. Gradually, first the service (constantly changing) and then the pizza deteriorated. Suddenly the ingredients/toppings of pizzas with the same name changed without notice, and the staff gave cheeky answers. Now the Italian shot is closed overnight - without notice. On the one hand, it's a shame, but on the other hand, things couldn't continue like this.

Best Neapolitan pizza in Munich

Super cute little Italian with pretty good pizza, although the branch in Maxvorstadt offers more selection, here the only pasta dish on the menu was the lasagna - here the focus is definitely on pizza and delicious vino. What's really a problem these days: last night it wasn't possible to pay by card, which was a bit unpleasant...

Ordered pizza, waited two hours - then the order was canceled via text message. Once again, katasprohal service - SMS instead of a call... if you can't make a pre-order two hours in advance and then cancel it later, you should say goodbye to this business model. At least - when the pizza comes (it works every now and then), it tastes good.

Very disappointed with something like this..

Overall I found the place to be average. For the price the pizza needs to be more than just basic toppings. Also, I felt the communication between the service staff and kitchen to be a bit weak. It took way too long for the food to arrive with one of the dishes being missed out. Cannot complain about the service staff here only, I feel the restaurant needs to have a better system. Glockenbach restaurants tend to have this need to be hip but sometimes lack the actual strong dishes that can match the style. I would still choose a traditional Italian place in this case since there is nothing extra here. But the place does have potential. The actual pizza bread was good and well cooked and had that smoky taste. Just needs work on the toppings a bit more. The vegan pizzas can be a lot better.

Gemütliches, kleines Lokal. Pizza war gut, Extrawunsch ‚ohne Käse‘ wurde problemlos umgesetzt. Es gibt vegane Pizza mit interessantem Belag! Es wird auf veganen Käse verzichtet. Alles sehr lecker! Service sehr nett!

Wir wurden an einen dreckigen Tisch gesetzt. Es hat sehr lange gedauert bis jemand kam, um den Tisch abzuräumen. Und der Service war im allgemeinen echt schlecht. Wir haben nach dem Preis für ein Glas Wein gefragt. Die Kellnerin kannte ihn nicht und hat uns aufgefordert, die Weinkarte selber zu holen (lag neben dem Eingang) und nach zugucken. Pizza war auch wenn überhaupt durchschnittlich. Alles in allem ein schlechtes Erlebnis und das Geld nicht wert!!!

Stressige Athmosphäre, Bedienung unfreundlich, wenigstens Essen war gut aber gehe nicht nochmal hin.

Pizza war gut. Leider spürt man jedoch von Anfang bis Ende dass man „abgefertigt“ wird und man möglichst schnell den Tisch wieder freigeben soll. So macht es wenig Spaß.

Essen super, der Oberkellner ist jedoch maximal unhöflich zum wiederholten Mal. Sehr schade!

Basilikum-Spritz hat leider sehr künstlich geschmeckt und kaum nach Basilikum. Pizza war okayish: Teig war schmackhaft und hatte einen guten Biss. Die Tomatensoße war etwas langweilig und es war ein Tick zuviel drauf. Salsiccia musste man auf der Pizza suchen. Ich würde wohl nicht wieder hingehen.

The first time we went there i was incredibly amazed from the pizzas. The last time however was very disappointing. The pizza doe was bad, the ingredients not fresh, and the cocktails expensive for the amount of alcohol inside of them. Service seems a bit overwhelmed too.

Ich war jetzt zweimal im Italian Shot und war beide Male sehr begeistert!! Das Essen ist mega lecker, die Atmosphäre ist sehr gemütlich und ich habe selten so nette Mitarbeiter erlebt… gerne wieder 😍
