How do I begin? I wanted to enjoy a relaxing breakfast with my four girls at Don a Roma during the fall break. It was anything but relaxing. We all left the restaurant in a bad mood. This was due to the following reasons: Initially, the plates were missing, which can happen, but the staff promptly refilled them. -The food items at the buffet weren't labeled. -Bread rolls and cold cuts were only refilled very rarely. -The juice glasses were dirty. -The cold cuts were inedible (dry around the edges and had a strong smell). -You had to search in vain for the egg salt at the buffet and on the table. -You couldn't eat the tomato and mozzarella, unfortunately. -The tables weren't cleared in between (even when guests left, it wasn't cleared). The staff consisted of one lady who did her best. Unfortunately, she couldn't keep up and just ran back and forth the whole time. A small group of six guests came in, went to the buffet, sat down briefly, then immediately got up and left again. They couldn't stand the way the breakfast was served. So we weren't the only ones who noticed it. -The last point came when paying, which I think is unacceptable. There were five of us and we all wanted to pay individually. We stood at the front of the restaurant for 20 minutes until the lady managed to bill us all. Even though it was the same amount for everyone. Unfortunately, we won't be coming back anytime soon. It was very disappointing.

I was unfortunately disappointed with this visit. We had reserved for 5:30 p.m., arrived a bit late at 5:40 p.m., and after we had finished our meal and didn't want to order another drink, we were politely but firmly asked at 6:45 p.m. to vacate the table and go to the bar because it was already taken. This was unpleasant not only for the young waitress, but also for us, as we got up and left. Otherwise, not much else fit together. There were crumbs on the chairs, the table was streaked, and the restrooms weren't clean. Things like that are immediately noticeable and don't leave a good impression. Unfortunately, the food didn't compensate. The spaghetti aglio e olio with scampi didn't taste freshly cooked, but rather reheated. The pasta was hard, and the olives were cheaply blackened. The scampi tasted okay, but overcooked. The knife was so blunt that my companion had to return the pizza to the kitchen to have it sliced. The homemade lemonade was far too sweet and still, and at €4.60, quite expensive. Overall, everything seemed a bit lackluster and inattentive. It's a shame, because the restaurant actually has potential, but this leaves a rather stale aftertaste.

For lunch, we had a Margherita pizza and homemade iced tea. It was delicious and reasonably priced. Friendly and attentive staff. Ideal before or after a trip to the cinema next door.

The yogurt bowls were dirty, with the edges of the previous occupant. The staff were unattentive. The onions for the minced meat were missing. The bacon had to wait forever for it to be cooked. The boiled eggs were very hidden.

The food was okay. A company like Extrablatt, Café del Sol, Alm...etc. So the food was okay, but you shouldn't expect too much. The atmosphere wasn't bad; some great ideas with private rooms were there, but unfortunately it was too loud for a pleasant conversation. Service was inattentive; different waiters kept coming over who only served drinks but couldn't take anything. As a result, we were left with nothing for a while. The pizza tonno was about €18 and about 32cm in diameter, so it was quite expensive. A 0.3L Coke was €3.90.

The first time we were there, we had a reservation. My husband has a walking disability, so we wanted to sit downstairs with eight people, but when we arrived, we were seated upstairs. I can't recommend this restaurant; it's completely unacceptable.

A few weeks ago, we reserved a table for 8 people here, specifically requesting a table on the ground floor to celebrate my husband's birthday breakfast. With a toddler and a disabled person, we were still given a table upstairs on the first floor. No attempt was made to move us, even though there were still some available. No accommodations, unfriendly. We went to another restaurant without breakfast. The nerve: Thank you for making my birthday awful. I absolutely do not recommend eating breakfast here.

Unfortunately, the breakfast was very, very poor. The staff was understaffed and couldn't handle the over 130 guests. The sausage was inedible, and they didn't refill it. The rolls and eggs were either sold out or were refilled late. I even had to ask for water twice. Of course, I mentioned it when paying. The young man was very nice, but they still didn't accommodate us on the price. Unfortunately, there was no response to my email either. It's a shame, because we've always been very satisfied there, but this will be our last visit.

I've rarely had such a bad breakfast. The staff was friendly and helpful, but completely overwhelmed. We arrived at 10:45, the buffet was almost empty, and it took forever to restock anything. The cold cuts weren't replaced at all...the mortadella, which had already turned gray, remained there until the very end...there was no other sausage. The other food items were also only sparsely replenished. A real shame.

The Italian restaurant Don A Roma impresses across the board. Upon entering, you'll immediately notice the stylish ambiance, which immediately creates a pleasant atmosphere. The waiters are exceptionally attentive and courteous, elevating the service to a particularly high standard. The food is outstanding – freshly prepared, authentic, and a true highlight in terms of taste. The prices are also extremely affordable and offer excellent value for money. Don A Roma is thus a restaurant that sets standards both in terms of cuisine and service. A place that you'll happily recommend and return to again anytime.

Highly recommended! The ambiance is truly wonderful, both inside and out. The food was consistently incredibly delicious, and they also offer a few other dishes that are worth trying. The service was very friendly and incredibly animal-loving. We will be back!

Today I was served the worst spaghetti carbonara I have ever had

Super stylish Italian restaurant. I've eaten here many times and am always very satisfied. Nice chef, very good, friendly staff. Always happy to come back. Update 8/21/25 Unfortunately, the quality has declined considerably. The new menu isn't as good. They have new recipes. The old recipes were much more refined and different, more lovingly prepared. Now it's simply a good Italian restaurant. That final touch and something special from before is missing. We'll look for something new for that special occasion.

The pizza tasted and looked like Domino's. Service was completely overwhelmed, and the wait for the food was endless. They offered zero goodwill. I wouldn't recommend a visit. When I asked for a receipt, none was issued.

The selection is limited but the quality is high. This is partly reflected in the price. However, I like the ambiance. Occasionally, they also offer live music. Overall, a great restaurant. The staff and manager are very friendly.

We visited this beautifully decorated restaurant today and had a truly pleasant evening. The ambiance is absolutely harmonious – modern, cozy, and designed with great attention to detail. You immediately feel welcome and in good hands. We sampled a variety of dishes from the menu: • The gnocchi with truffle goat cheese filling were very tasty and prepared to a high standard. The rosemary was a bit overpowering for our personal taste, but that's certainly a matter of preference – if you like herbal flavors, you'll really appreciate it. • The lasagna was excellent – wonderfully seasoned, moist, and a memorable dish. • With the pizzas (Texas BBQ & Tonno), we noticed that the crust was a bit crispier, almost hard. This is a matter of taste, of course – some people prefer this consistency. The BBQ sauce was a little sweet for our taste, but otherwise well-balanced and generously topped. Overall, we had a thoroughly enjoyable visit: great ambiance, delicious food, and a very pleasant atmosphere. We'd be happy to return and are excited to try more dishes on the menu next time.

Food, ambience and service are really very very good

We went there for lunch after a long absence. Both the pizza (rock-hard) and the spaghetti (overcooked and flavorless) were a disaster. That apparently wasn't the only complaint.

We rounded off our evening here with cocktails after the cinema. We were extremely satisfied with the service and ambiance. We would love to come back.

We were there again for a birthday party with the whole family (9 people). Unfortunately, this time the team was completely out of sync. The drinks arrived after over half an hour, the starter couldn't be made as requested, and two main courses were completely unmade or forgotten. Then the second drinks took more than 30 minutes. You can have days like that. Maybe there was a staffing shortage, someone was covering for someone on vacation. Whatever it was, just honestly tell the customer that it's taking a little longer due to, for example, a lack of staff, or that everything is running a little slower because... we're not used to it there. It was also annoying that towards the end of the meal (everyone was still happily chewing), the lights suddenly dimmed, so we could hardly see the fruit fly. That tells the guest to hurry up... We hope things improve and that today was just a slip-up.

I ordered and picked up a pizza margarita today. According to the restaurant's specials, it would have been this week's pizza of the week. However, I was charged the full price for pickup because I apparently ordered a pizza margarita and didn't say "pizza of the week" 😂😂 The waiter was also firmly convinced that his statement made sense 😂 So for everyone else, add "pizza of the week" 😂😂😂 not the name of the pizza, they can't do anything with that 😂🤣🤣 Paying €7.43 instead of €5.90 isn't a big difference. But it's about the principle...

This was our second time here. And just like last time, there's nothing to complain about. Great food...great service...We'll be back.

The service is great, uniformly dressed, and always with a smile on their faces. They're super friendly and manage the many seating areas with just three people. We take our hats off to them. We didn't have to wait long for anything (even though it was very busy). We'll probably become regulars. Even our children are still talking about it today. That's saying something 😅. You have our enthusiasm, and our boys' too. We would also like to thank you for the surprise invitation our boys to the bar. They were able to enjoy a fantastic show from your bartender. Please keep up the good work. If anything takes too long or you want to be there before the movie starts, you should probably go and eat at the fast food restaurant next door. The drinks were really decent. The cocktails had flavor and weren't too strong or too weak. You could tell they were freshly made. Nothing extraordinary, but solid and better than in many other places. Definitely okay for the price.

Simply embarrassing. Voucher declined because the menu had a "new design" – seriously? That seems like a cheap excuse for not having to redeem offers. The pizza arrived cold, blunt knives made cutting it a joke, and the table was dirty, as if no one had wiped it in days. Zero professionalism, zero hospitality. For us, this was definitely a one-off experience – in the worst possible sense.

Last night (Saturday, July 25th), four of us had a reservation at Don A Roma. There were nine tables occupied. Three waiters were present. Drinks and food were served promptly. That was the good thing. When the drinks were brought, a wheat beer was missing, with the explanation that there were no chilled ones available... Did I want to wait? How long would it take? Minutes later, the food arrived... Since no further drinks were served, I asked at the counter if and when the wheat beer would arrive. What, the wheat beer wasn't at the table?... No, it wasn't after 30 minutes...! When we returned to the table, all eight other tables had only empty glasses... and no one even asked if anyone was there... One table after another paid with resentment. It looked like they were just trying to finish work. It was Saturday evening, between 8 and 10 p.m. We ordered two pizzas, among other things, which unfortunately couldn't be cut with a knife... but they were tasty. The biggest problem, however, were the countless fruit flies throughout the restaurant. Traps had been set up in the plant pots... but you could still hear them clapping at the neighboring tables. Absolutely unacceptable. The service and atmosphere were completely unacceptable. One server was more or less busy with a woman (presumably his girlfriend) at the counter for those two hours. You were only served if you asked for them.

After the third attempt and a lot of "forgiving," we've given up. A great atmosphere isn't everything... The food is better quality at every Scout camp. They apparently don't want to sell drinks, so we ate thirstily, which didn't make things any better. When I found part of a kitchen brush in my food and the waitress politely acknowledged it—that's all it took 🤐—that was it for me.

I'm happy to give this fantastic restaurant 5 stars. My best friend and I spent a few days on holiday in Aurich and even went to Don A Roma two evenings. A really lovely atmosphere and incredibly delicious food! The pizza is made entirely from scratch with fresh ingredients, and the risotto tasted perfect and was beautifully presented. But the most pleasing thing was the really lovely and friendly service, who tried to accommodate our needs, as my girlfriend is vegan, and that's sometimes a bit difficult in restaurants. But all our wishes were fulfilled, and we had a wonderful evening (both times). If we're ever in Aurich again, we'll definitely come back. We'd like to thank the whole team again for the lovely stay.

Today I bought four takeaway pizzas for €53. 25% discount. Great. That's what I thought at first, BUT the 25% discount is being cut off the ingredients. THESE WERE THE WORST PIZZAS WE'VE EVER ATE. Truly RUBBISH. Almost nothing on them, a crust at least 8 centimeters thick, and dry as a cat's arse. Unbelievable, it wasn't even worth €10. Half of them ended up in the trash. Inedible. Never again. Then I'll go back to Harlekin, where the price and quality are right!!!!

Incredibly disappointing – never again! We had specifically reserved a table so we could have a relaxed meal before going to the cinema – a full hour and a half had been planned for it. The evening was a special occasion for us, so we chose a preferred seating area when we made our reservation: upstairs, nice and quiet. What did we get? We arrived on time – and were completely ignored for a full five minutes. No hello, no eye contact, nothing. Then we were finally shown to a table – but not the reserved area, of course, but right in the back corner, right next to the restroom door. Uncomfortable, inappropriate, and completely uncaring. The table next to us was still full of used dishes – not even cleared. Behind us sat a larger group who were served normally, received drinks, and ordered food – and us? We were simply completely ignored. We sat there for 40 minutes – without anyone even bothering to join us. No water, no "We'll be right there," no menu – nothing. Absolutely disgraceful for a special evening. In the end, we left – disappointed, frustrated – and spent our celebratory occasion at McDonald's. At least they treat you like a human being there. Thanks for nothing. This evening was important to us – and it was ruined by this service. We won't be back, and to anyone looking for a pleasant evening, we can only advise: find another restaurant.

Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is no longer right. What's the point of a nice ambiance if the new menu and the food on the plate are no longer convincing? The portions are far too small and don't taste particularly good anymore. You now pay a premium for something "special" on top of the already excessively high prices. The food is no longer anything special compared to the ambiance.

The lunch menu is not recommended. The pizza was poorly prepared, and my partner's pasta wasn't worth 5 euros. No homemade pasta, just packets of pasta and the simplest sauce on top, let alone a delicious slice of beef fillet (3 very small pieces of meat). Almost 50 euros for this is quite steep. In my opinion, it's not value for money for what's supposed to be something exclusive. The waiter with no experience handing you the cutlery one by one is unprofessional. So, the overall package doesn't work.

We ordered food a while ago – there was a minor hiccup, but the team apologized warmly and responded very professionally. We thought that was great and had no problems at all. Yesterday we ate there – and it was simply amazing! The food was fantastic, especially the new Italian carbonara without cream – highly recommended! The coffee was also really delicious. The service was very friendly and attentive, and the outdoor area is beautifully designed and, despite being on the main road, invites you to linger. All in all, a great experience – we'll definitely be back!

We had breakfast there today, Sunday, June 8th, on a recommendation. We were disappointed. The buffet was only sparingly replenished; the rolls ran out at 10:30. We waited forever for a refill, and then about 20 rolls arrived, which were immediately gone. The tables weren't cleared, and we weren't served or asked if we wanted something else to drink. The music was very loud and distracting. All in all, it was a very disappointing experience, and we won't be having breakfast there again!

We were there on Sunday for the breakfast buffet. There was a good selection of cheese, sausage, cereal, and sweet side dishes. There were also boiled eggs and freshly prepared omelets/scrambled eggs. Rolls and bread, coffee, and various teas. Unfortunately, there were very few whole-grain rolls. The few that were refilled were gone immediately. The service was good. However, the noise level was very high. But all in all, we can recommend the Don A Roma.

We were here for brunch. The reception was very friendly. Scrambled eggs, fried eggs, and omelets are freshly prepared. Coffee, tea, and various juices are also available. The buffet selection is plentiful.

Great restaurant, visually speaking, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with the food and service! There are many specialty dishes, such as pizza with pear, which I find very appealing, and they also offer vegetarian dishes. After dinner, you can move to the next seat at the bar, where there's a huge selection of cocktails (including non-alcoholic ones)! Everyone is always nice and friendly! I personally wouldn't come without a reservation, as it's always quite busy, but it's super quick, as you can easily make a reservation on the website, no need to call. We come at least three times a year and will continue to do so; we always enjoy coming back! My personal favorite restaurant in East Frisia! I recently visited Don A Roma in Aurich and was absolutely thrilled! The service was outstanding – I especially want to commend the waiter, Jwan, who was incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional. I felt completely at home. A fantastic restaurant with a wonderful ambiance, excellent food, and first-class service. I will definitely be back!

We were there for breakfast, it's always a bit noisy because of the open space, but we're happy to accept it for the great price/performance ratio! They try to make everything possible, everyone is very nice and friendly! 👍🏻 I also really liked that the changing table had everything and more you needed for changing, from diapers to wet wipes, cream, powder and disposable washcloths 👌🏻

We had made a reservation, had to wait 15 minutes before registering until someone brought us to the table, we got the food, but the service had forgotten the cutlery, said it would come straight away, but then went to the neighboring table to collect and left us to sit before eating. After asking, he continued to collect, and another service person brought it to us after we asked again. During dinner I ordered a second drink and it was apparently forgotten; it was only brought after I asked again. The neighboring table didn't get any drinks with their meal, only when they were about to pay did the drinks come, which they no longer wanted because it was too late. The food itself was good.

Ordered children's pizza to take away with ham, when we got home there was no ham on the pizza. In the restaurant you can get the pizza at the table without any problems. On the phone the employee kept explaining that we had ordered a Margaretha and that he had also billed for it. If I order one with ham, I also expect one with ham, and the ham is also paid for. That always worked otherwise. Then the pizza didn't even taste good. Sticky. Unbelievable.

Staff very nice. There's still something to eat, but it's generally delicious. Picked up the food and waited a little longer than the pickup time said. Plus minus 15 minutes longer. Hardly worth mentioning.

Table reserved with seven people. Half of the drinks were wrong and what was no longer available was simply brought something else. Two drinks were returned and after asking several times, there was no real response at all. The returned drinks were then brought when we paid. But they were the same as before, just filled with water. Food was okay but we didn't have any cutlery. But everyone here felt the same way today. Because the other tables also asked for cutlery. By now the food was only lukewarm. They also only had three conditions and the restaurant was full. Unfortunately, they were a bit overwhelmed. It's a shame, I had imagined more here. Maybe we'll give it another chance, but not in the near future.

A great restaurant that is particularly impressive visually. Great seating areas. The outside is also very nicely designed. However, the outdoor area is currently unusable due to the noise from the fair next door. You can park "semi-legally" next door in the cinema parking lot. Service and food were good. Price also fair.

We had breakfast here at Don A Roma at Easter and what can I say, it was very tasty, a great selection and the service was extremely friendly and left nothing to be desired.

The Don A Roma is a very cozy restaurant. If there are any problems, the staff is more than customer friendly. Small and large gifts are given with an authentic smile. The service is great, even with special customer requests, everything is made possible. Price performance thumbs up 😀

The ambience is positive... Unfortunately, the wrong food was brought to me twice and as a result the shared meal with my partner was lost. Unfortunately the pasta wasn't a highlight either... no parmesan, no oil, no salt... that's part of it...

Delicious food and drinks. Everything is great in terms of price too. Attentive staff. We would love to come back here
