The Dartmoor Inn in Erlangen

The food is pub style, mostly burgers. All enjoyable😊. Nice place to drink beer, watch football and of course play darts.

STAY CLEAR. We visited the Dartmoor Inn having booked a table for 13 people to sit at 6.15pm. The waiter took drinks orders and delivered the drinks. He took our food order at roughly 6.30pm. The group ordered burgers or a sandwich with chips which should not take a long time to prepare. 40 minutes later, just 7 of our meals were delivered. Another 20 minutes later there was still no sign of the meals for the remaining 6 people in our group. The waiter had not come back to the table at any point to see if we needed more drinks or to explain the delay. I went to the counter and asked when the rest of our food would be ready. He told me 2 minutes. We waited again but still no sign of our food. The first 7 guests had to leave at this point as we were attend a family event. I went to the counter a second time and told the waiter the remaining 6 of us would have to leave if we did not get our food. We waited again and were about to leave when just 3 of the remaining 6 meals were delivered. The final 3 guests who had each ordered a simple sandwich with chips, only got the chips which were so hard you could not put a fork through them . After another 15 minutes, they still did not get their sandwiches. We could not wait any longer and left the table. I went to the counter again to sort our bill. We got no apology having waited almost two hours. To add to the frustration, guests who arrived AFTER us were served their food and drinks while we waited almost 2 hours for food that 3 of the group never got. We found another local pub and ordered pizza which was delivered to the table within 10 minutes. I would absolutely NOT recommend the Dartmoor Inn. Simply appalling service.

We booked this place for a group as we visited the night before for drinks, and thought it would be nice for food. The selection of food was quite poor; one could basically only order either burgers or sandwiches. The wrong food was brought for one member of the group. Several members of our group were served after a quite a lengthy amount of time. The rest of us were waiting almost 2 hours for our food, after having watched the others finish their meals. Even after this, 3 of us were still not served. We ended up leaving the pub and going elsewhere, as we were starving and fed up of waiting. The server was quite rude and unapologetic after we enquired about the status of our food. We will not be returning.

We went in and had to ask for our food order to be taken after giving a heads up the day before that we were a big party. Half of our food order came out after an hour of waiting, then the other half came out after 45 minutes. Go here if you like waiting an hour and 45 minutes for your food. And some food did not come even after 2 hours, till we just left without it.

A group of 5 of us went on Friday night. We gave the owner a heads up that we would be a group of 13 the next night and would be getting food. When we arrived on the Saturday we sat out the back. The waiter took our orders. After one hour there was no sign of food. We enquired. 6 portions came out. One portion was the wrong thing, but the waiter insisted it was not. After another 20 minutes we enquired again. We were told it would be another 2 minutes. After another 20, 4 more portions came out. Other people who came in after us ordered. They were served. 3 of our party ordered SANDWHICHES that never appeared. After an hour and 45/50 minutes we got the bill and left. This bill wanted to charge for food we didn’t even get. Pity.

Came to Dartmoor through a friend, I didn't know beforehand that there was a great dart room at the back. The drinks were good, but unfortunately the food wasn't exactly what I expected... Yes, it's pub food but that can be tasty too, the burgers were simply "knocked together" way too carelessly for me, and the toppings were also rather poor. Maybe I just had a bad day. The service was good, only seemed a bit annoyed now and then, but it's possible that we were also tiring 😅 All in all it was a nice evening, but I wouldn't go there again because of the food...

I celebrated a wonderful birthday with many friends at the Dartmoor Inn. It couldn't have been better! The Dartmoor as a wonderful pub, event location, great music, a really nice landlord, the great team, drinks, food... I would like to thank you very much and can only recommend it. If I lived in Erlangen, I would probably be there all the time!

Nice location to play darts for free. Arrows can be rented on site. There is also a cupboard with numerous games. Service was nice, food was good, what more could you want?

There are many bars in the old town of the student town of Erlangen, including some that have stood for something for many years, but in the direction of sports bars there are fewer of them to be found. The Dartmoor Inn has offered the following for decades: a bar, the opportunity to watch live sports on TV, a room with 3 dartboards (there is also a dart club here) and a (small) outdoor area in the back yard in the summer. The menu is pretty broad for pub standards and the staff is friendly. Last time I had a cheesy currywurst with fried onions, my companion had the cheeseburger (without fries)... But it can also be lighter or vegetarian!

For us one of the coziest pubs in Erlangen. Super delicious snacks and great service. Always my pleasure.

Fantastic food, Newcastle and Murphy's as beers and the usual rustic atmosphere (plus live music on Thursday evenings), we'll be happy to come back.

Cozy pub, really tasty food and quick, very friendly service. Pleasant crowd, dart players can play in the back area. For sports enthusiasts there is a large television with various broadcasts. And there is also a small beer garden. All around good 😊

Nicely designed pub. A great location, especially for dart players, as there are three new dartboards hanging in the back. I don't know about them but they look very valuable and new. I can't rate the food. All in all a standard pub

We only had one beer. The selection is good. It smelled like a toilet in the restaurant. (and it was even worse in the toilet). We might have stayed longer, but it wasn't bearable. The waiter responded to our comment with a shrug and a smile.

Really rustic pub that is set up with a lot of heart and run with a lot of love. The menu offers many Irish and regional specialties; There is something for everyone in terms of food and drink. Veggie friendly too! The music underlines the pub feel; A visit here is always a short holiday in Ireland. We love it here!

Uriges Ambiente mit freundlichem und aufmerksamen Personal. Sehr schöne Dartsanlage im hinteren Raum (Montags ist Competition!). TV für Sportübertragungen. Drehort für lokale Filmemacher. Jeden ersten Donnerstag Live-Musik. Currywurst in vielen Variationen (verschiedene Schärfegrade und auch als Currywurstbrunnen (vorbestellen!!), Sandwiches und natürlich die homemade Burger (auch mehrstöckig!)). Verschiedene Biersorten vom Fass (u.a. Murphy's Stout u. Steinbach). Klare Empfehlung!

Perfekt für Fußballspiel. Nette Bedienung und netter Service. Nur etwas schade, dass immer alle Tische vergeben werden und man bei einem Spiel keinen freien Tisch mehr bekommt, obwohl man super früh da ist. Ansonsten keine weiteren Kritikpunkte.

Best bar in Erlangen. Beer and food fantastic. The staff look after you. Plenty of space inside and in the courtyard.

Das Murphy‘s Stout ist einfach spitze

Sehr unfreundlich, an der Bar Blick in die Küche, da legt Mann die heruntergefallenen Brötchenhälfte wieder auf den Teller und es gibt sehr würzige Burger.Mahlzeit. U seiner Verteidigung er hat zur Bar geschaut ob ich es gesehen habe.

Das essen war sehr lecker preislich auch super. Wir haben aber aufs Essen durchschnittlich lange warten müssen. Die Currywurst ist richtig lecker!

Great pub, good meeting place if your in town centre. Place to play darts and relax for the evening, the service is good and drinks come fairly quickly. Food served is good and at a reasonable cost.

Ein Highlight ist neben der coolen Frisur einer Bedienung, der Currywurst-Brunnen. Ein Tag vorher bestellt macht er das Dart Tournier zum Erlebnis. Toll ist auch, dass für das Ausleihen von Darts kein Geld verlangt wird.

Achtung : betretet den Laden NICHT wenn es voll ist ! Chef ist bestimmt sonst sehr nett ; doch wenn am Abend Fußball läuft und der Laden dementsprechend Anklang findet , werden Tisch - Reservierungen kurzfristig gekippt und man wird am Eingang vergleichsweise angeschrien. Andere Gäste haben sich auch sehr gewundert. Hab sowas noch nie erlebt ; wie gesagt , sonst ist der Chef bestimmt ein super Typ , doch mit Stress kann der eine oder andere bestimmt besser arbeiten :)

Leider waren wir mit dem Service alles andere als zufrieden. Das Essen war super lecker! Zuerst riefen wir an um zu fragen, ob noch Platz sei bzw. um einen Tisch zu reservieren, das konnte sie nicht und wir sollen einfach vorbei kommen. Letztendlich mussten wir an die Bar. Zu jeder Frage wurde ein pampiges Kommentar abgegeben. Als wir Getränke bestellen wollten, bei der Frage, ob die Küche noch offen hat sogar auf die Essensbestellung "...da wird sich der Koch freuen, das Gericht sei aufwändig." Sie war sehr überfordert und hat das uns Gäste spüren lassen. Freundlich geht anders, wir werden so schnell nicht mehr in diesen Pub gehen!!!

Kleine und schnuckelige Gastronomie nahe dem Zentrum von Erlangen. Wir sind über das Gutscheinbuch bei einem Besuch in der Gegend darauf gestoßen und wurden sehr positiv überrascht. Die Burger sind lecker, der Service aufmerksam und zuvorkommend.

Wir kamen mit dem Schlemmerblock. Die Burger waren lecker, es gäbe aber auch andere Gerichte wie zB Currywurst oder Sandwiches. Wir waren bereits mehrfach dort und kommen gerne wieder.

Angenehme Atmosphäre eines English Pubs mit echt leckeren Burgern und guter Auswahl an Getränken. Absolute Empfehlung!

Service sehr freundlich, tolles Ambiente und die Speisekarte bietet für Fleischliebhaber eine leckere Auswahl. Der vegetarische Burger ist jedoch leider nicht zu empfehlen.

Super Pub, netter Wirt. Wer Bundesliga schauen will, ein Gutes Bier trinken oder etwas leckeres essen möchte findet wir was er sucht. Hier wird neben dem leckeren lokal gebrauten Steinbach Storchenbier, auch zum Beispiel typische Englische Cider ausgeschenkt. Es gibt natürlich auch leckeren Pub-Grub, die Karte enthält ausgezeichnete Burger sowie, diverse andere Snacks. Die Räumlichkeiten sind so gestaltet, dass jeder einen guten Blick auf die Partie hat, aber auch wer sich nicht für Fußball interessiert, kann ungestört verweilen. Im Innenhof ist auch ein kleiner Außenbereich. Wenn Fußball läuft, besser Reservieren!
