The best restaurant in Erlangen for the whole family 😊

Delicious food at moderate prices. The restaurant is very busy, but the service doesn't show the stress. The waitresses are very friendly. What I particularly like is that you can choose between ouzu, espresso or yoghurt after your meal.

Unfortunately only cash payment, but one star deducted, otherwise our favorite Greek restaurant in Erlangen.

Very tasty food, the portions are nice and big and the staff is super friendly and attentive. We like coming here.

The food was good overall. Gyros well seasoned and portions that are sufficient. The service was very good! Great staff, warm and friendly!!! Unfortunately everything together is far too tight. It was way too crowded and loud. Maybe it's less crowded during the week.🤷🏻‍♀️ It's richly decorated and the extractor hood does a really good job 👍🏼, it doesn't smell like frying oil and frying fat!

Before the J.B.O. Stopped by the concert spontaneously and got a seat. The restaurant is always busy, and rightly so! Food is great, prices are great and so is the staff!

Authentic Greek with down-to-earth cuisine. Reasonable prices.

The reviews seem to come from friends and acquaintances. We relied on the reviews here and were quite disappointed. On the one hand, a friend of ours had over-baked gyros and wanted fries instead. These were baked in and were completely soaked, which was very clumsy on the part of the cook. My wife didn't get a drop of dressing on her salad and her gyro was nothing special and fibrous. My calamari was a bit tough, otherwise okay, but for 18 euros!! just not worth it. Because of these prices, the 2 “€€” characters on Google are not justified either. When we gave a tip, the waitress didn't even say thank you. Not recommended!

This snack bar has been around for ages and it always tastes very good. Note: Broad beans with souflaki usually come with two skewers!

We sat outside, which is of course your choice, but the tables were very close together. The food came quickly, but was rather mediocre. Some salt dressing was poured over the olives instead of olive oil. The meat was quite dry and there were canned mushrooms in the rice.

Unfortunately I can't agree with the good reviews 😟! It wasn't my first time eating there and the last time I went I found out that the service was terrible and the food was nothing special 😥!! With the best will in the world, I really can't understand the good reviews 🥺!!! For me personally, nothing more than a better snack. Even though I was the only guest sitting outside, it is part of the service to ask if a guest would like anything else. Instead, waiters preferred to use their cell phones or chat. The crowning glory at the end: The waitress obviously doesn't know the prices of the dishes and the menu doesn't seem to be up to date, at least when it comes to drinks - I can only give the advice to all other guests: pay attention to the bill at the end!!

Very good friendly service, very good food. Clean and decent. You feel comfortable there and the staff leaves you in peace. You are also not asked to write a positive review. We've experienced it differently. Simply good.

I've been getting gyros pita or bifteki several times a month for over 30 years. Always delicious 😋. Staff always friendly, even when it's busy

Il cibo è ottimo, la posizione interessante, peccato che il servizio latiti.probabilmente visto che siamo in estate, hanno preparato all'esterno più tavoli di quanti la cucina riesca a gestire, quindi i tempi si allungano. Ma se concordiamo arrivo alle 19,15 perché ci sono esigenze specifiche non è accettabile che tu venga a prendere a comanda solo poco prima delle 29.00. Le tre stelle sono solo per il cibo.

Es gibt auch gute Griechen in Erlangen. Ich hatte es schon aufgegeben und würde hier positiv überrascht. Nach einer kulinarischen Enttäuschung in der Nähe, fand ich hier ein tolles Lokal ein tolles Essen und endlich auch eine freundliche ehrliche Bedienung. Danke

The applications made me curious. But things are much better. Gyros was dry, lukewarm and moderately seasoned. Meat didn't seem 100% fresh. Calamari was good, but also without seasoning. Rice al dente, but soaked in a sauce that I didn't expect from a Greek. Prices okay, but the lunch menus aren't a bargain either. I'm surprised by the very good reviews... Maybe it just wasn't the perfect day...😉

Always when we are in Erlangen, we go at least once. Very good. We will always return. This comment is from years ago but I come to say in 2024 that everything is still just as good, or better!

As always. All tables occupied. This has been the case for years. You can't go wrong. 😁. Got a spot spontaneously. Were lucky.

The food was super tasty. There's nothing to complain about. Service is also good. Unfortunately, the ambience is Hofbräuhaus-like. Too narrow...too loud...too crowded. Prices match the portions. I would still like to come back.

We go there often for dinner. For 40 years, the food has been of consistent top quality at affordable prices. And the staff is, as always, very nice. Best Greek restaurant far and wide!!!

The behavior of the waiters was unfriendly and not serious. When I ordered the drink I could see the waiter mixing some indefinable stuff into my drink. When I got the food it was very tasty and when I finished eating after about an hour I threw up on the food, I broke out all the coleslaw and meat. When I reacted that the food was old and bad and I had to vomit, the waiter laughed at me and said, You are in a Greek tavern and if you don't like it then you go to Jesus Christ. I was there once and never again. This house is ripe for the health department and should be taken out of circulation.

Food could have been warmer. Squid tubes...first YES, then no, "what would that be and where have you eaten them in Erlangen?". You don't complain about competition... Atmosphere is OK, card payment is desirable.

The food was good but the knives were incredibly blunt and my teeth were sharper. Eating grilled food is hard work. I was also annoyed by the unfriendly comment about removing my jacket from the chair next to me even though no other guests needed the space

Thanks for the nice atmosphere. But the service doesn't help me And the food I get doesn't match what I pay for. The best thing is that we should have shared an ouzo. The question on do you want ouzo? Thanks but never again PS: My rice was also forgotten

Waren zum Mittagstisch hier. Tolle Angebote und auch die Abendkarte hat Tolle Kombination von Gerichten. Das Essen war sehr lecker und gerade Mittag ist das ein super Preis / Leistungsangebot.

Bin seit über Vierzig Jahren Kunde hier und nie enttäuscht worden 🤘🏻

Essen ist Durchschnitt, Preise mittlerweile zünftig und man sitzt sehr beengt und die Kleidung muss danach in die Wäsche (vom Geruch her)

Der Kult-Grieche in Erlangen. Das Saganaki im Fladenbrot ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Δεν προλάβαμε καν να φάμε διότι μας είπαν ότι δεν σε σερβίρουν γύρο πίτα στο τραπέζι, αν και τους είπαμε πως θα παραγγείλουμε και άλλα πιάτα! Σίγουρα δεν γνωρίζουν την έννοια του Ξένιου Δία!

Essen war gut, reichlich aber leider kalt. Preise auch schon gehoben. Aufgrund der vielen Menschen auf kleinen Raum sehr laut.

Das Essen ist richtig lecker, der Service prompt und freundlich, deshalb gerne wieder! Die Tische stehen sehr eng beieinander, was wegen der Zahl der Gäste auch notwendig ist. Dadurch wird es aber halt auch recht laut. Das bedeutet auch: Platzreservierung empfehlenswert, ansonsten muss man echt Glück haben!

Ist eine kleine Taverne aber das Essen ist sehr lecker die Personal sehr freundlich 👍

Gyros pfeffrig, Krautsakat nicht zu geniessen

Haben früher in Erlangen gewohnt und waren immer dort essen. Heute von Nürnberg extra dort essen holen gegangen und vorher telefonisch bestellt. Die Dame wiederholte meine Bestellung sogar nochmal alles richtig, trotzdem war jeder einzelne Gyro Pita nicht wie telefonisch bestellt! Geld verschwendet!Geschmacklich auch nicht zu vergleichen wie damals, lohnt sich überhaupt nicht dort zu essen! Einfach eine Enttäuschung aber scheint auch keinen dort zu interessieren! Nie wieder!

Super lecker und mega freundliche, zuvorkommende Gastgeber die sehr bereitwillig auf Extrawünsche eingehen! Im Inneren etwas dunkel/beengt, jedoch macht das auch den Flair dieses Traditionsrestaurant Erlangens aus.

Das Abendessen war einfach wunderbar. Das Personal sehr sehr freundlich. Wir werden in der Zukunft bestimmt beim Taverne Mythos essen! Alles Gute wünsche ich euch!

Bester Grieche in Erlangen. Super lecker zu akzeptablen Preisen. Guter und persönlicher Service, sehr aufmerksam und kundenorientiert. Beeindruckend ist vor allem in welcher Geschwindigkeit, das bestellte Gericht fertig ist und auf dem Tisch steht. Das Mythos existiert schon seit sehr langer Zeit in unveränderter Form und genau das macht die Seele dieses ausgezeichneten, griechischen Lokals aus. Das Essen ist über viele Jahre konstant sehr gut und absolut empfehlenswert. Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ebenfalls sehr gut und das Personal ist immer sehr freundlich, ich habe es nie anders erlebt. Mein Lieblingsgrieche in Erlangen, auch wenn es außer dem Mythos noch "stylische, griechische Restaurants" mit sehr extravaganten Speisekarten - und entsprechender Einrichtung ;-) - gibt. ...da ist mir eine langjährig etablierte, solide Küche und ein authentisches Ambiente lieber. Im Sommer kann man übrigens auch außen sitzen, was an der wenig befahrenen Straße auch sehr schön ist.

Essen ist gut aber mittlerweile sind die Preise ganz schön nach oben gegangen

Heute mal dieses Restaurant probiert und enttäuscht! Ambiente drinnen bisschen verstaubt und in die Jahre gekommen…, der Service naja Sie scheinen keine gute Laune zu haben und arrogant haben kein Bock nimmt man an. Das essen NEIN Danke nie mehr da scheint die Liebe zum Essen machen zu fehlen. Bin besseres gewohnt von meinem Griechen!

Samstag 23 Uhr - It's Pita time! Die hervorragende Döner-Alternative gibts hier direkt vom Straßenverkauf als Gyros- oder Saganaki-Variante.

The gyro was amazing. The softest pita meets quality meat and fresh tzatziki.

Food was o.k. - not many vegetarian options, overwhelming tomato concentrate/vinegar flavors. We waited a long time for our food. Service was not rude but kind of reserved and not overly friendly. Atmosphere sitting by the street directly under the noon sun was not great. Overall average restaurant experience.

Waren das erste Mal hier, eher zufällig. Der Aussenbereich ist am Gehsteig direkt N der Straße, stört aber nicht, da wenig Verkehr. Preis-Leistung sehr gut. Essen gut, schön angerichtet. Gerne wieder.

Bei Vorbeigehen an der Straße fanden wir die Aussenbestuhlung bei herrlichem Sommerwetter sehr einladend. Überrascht waren wir vom günstigen Mittagsmenü, dass auch AM SONNTAG gilt!! Große Portionen und Essen lecker. Leider war der Reis mit ziemlicher scharfer Soße nicht ganz mein Geschmack, kenne ich vom Griechen nicht so. Nächstes Mal dann halt Pommes für mich. Gerne jederzeit wieder.

Wir waren schon öfter hier und das Essen war immer gut! Die Portionen sind sehr groß und alles schmackhaft. Die Taverne ist sehr gemütlich aber klein. Reservieren sollte man schon.

Seit 50 Jahren mein Lieblingsgrieche. Essen super, Service top. Für Abends sollte man besser reservieren. Alle Speisen gibt es auch zum mitnehmen. Kein Lieferservice.

Essen sehr gut und viel. Bedienung freundlich schnell. Ambiente rustikal. Jedoch mit 4 Personen an einem Tisch und Allgemein ist es ziemlich eng.
