It's a very pleasant place, next to the university garden, with excellent service and very well-prepared food at good prices.

The best home-style cooking I've had in a long time. Absolutely exceptional. The flavors were spot on. The rustic atmosphere and good beer rounded everything off perfectly.

I really liked this place; my colleague and I were there. It's authentic "bömische" cuisine, delicious food. The service in the restaurant is also excellent. There's also a beer garden outside, but it was already chilly, so we sat inside. Even though the building is old, the space is well-designed: you can see lots of antiques around.

Delicious Bohemian-Franconian cuisine

Visit on August 15, 2025: Excellent food, including mushrooms with two side dishes. Good value, wonderful outdoor dining area in the heart of the city. The two waiters were also very friendly and attentive.

Always worth a culinary excursion. A small but fine menu! The sauces, in particular, taste wonderfully homemade. Generous portion sizes for reasonable prices. Very attentive servers. My second time at Römming, and I would go back a third and fourth time.

The food and drinks are distinguished by their authentic quality and excellent preparation. The service is friendly and captivates with its Franconian hospitality. I can wholeheartedly recommend the food and drinks.

The Römming restaurant is a good, middle-class restaurant in Erlangen's city center where it's easy to linger. The service is very attentive and courteous. The quality of the food is very good. German and especially Bohemian cuisine is served. My tip, the garlic soup and one of the schnitzel variations. There is also a beer garden in the backyard, which is pleasantly shady even in warm temperatures and is accessible from Apfelstrasse or the castle garden.

Had a Schäufele with dumpling and liver dumpling soup, for €24. The price is great, delivery was very quick. The delivery person was friendly too. Will happily order again 😆😊😋

A safe bet for good Franconian and Bohemian cuisine for many years! The prices are appropriate for the quality and service, I like to come here again and again. Even nicer in summer when the beer garden is open.

A cozy restaurant with friendly service. Unfortunately my baked carp fillet was almost inedible. It was lukewarm and tasteless. It probably came from the freezer into the deep fryer. Too bad!

We spontaneously went to the restaurant on a Sunday with 6 people plus a baby and a stroller. We received a very nice table and had plenty of space. The service was quick, courteous and very friendly. The food (2x meat dishes, 2x vegetarian, 2x fish) was very good and the portions were plentiful. The waiting time was totally ok and we felt very comfortable. Only the toilets are rather small and not suitable for wheelchair users. There is no changing table.

It's actually quite nice there, but unfortunately there is hardly any vegetarian selection and the portion sizes didn't fill us up. Unfortunately, the price is quite high.

A good, middle-class restaurant where you can eat well. The service was attentive, but I was asked a little too often. I found the side salad a bit lacking. The food was plentiful and of very good quality. The beer garden in the back yard is pleasantly shady even in warm temperatures.

Very cozy beer garden, good food.

We happened by chance during the Comic Salon and it looked very inviting from the outside. We were shown directly to a table by friendly staff. The drink came to the table very quickly, we had to wait about 15 minutes for the food, but it was also very busy and 15 minutes is absolutely fine. The food was very tasty. I had the Bohemian goulash with dumplings and salad as well as a super crispy garlic bread. The prices are normal and not excessive considering that you are in the middle of Erlangen. Since we were on foot, I can't say anything about the parking situation.

Bombastic! When I'm in Erlangen, I stop by Römming almost every time. Bohemian cuisine and great drinks! The small beer garden is really cute and you can sit under trees and umbrellas. There is access from Apfelstrasse and the castle garden. Pretty dark and quaint inside.

Ate Schäufele and beef roulade. Completely overeating, it was totally worth it.

This was my third order from Römming via Lieferando and each time it was liver dumpling soup, Schäufele and apple strudel. The first time I ordered poultry gravy instead of roast pork gravy, so I had to rinse the dumplings and the Schäufele and eat them dry. The second order was fine and the third order had no sauce at all!!! Two out of three orders were not OK and there will not be a fourth!!!!! Consequently, I cannot recommend this restaurant in any way.

Great store. Friendly staff and the boss himself is interested in the well-being of the customers. Food was super tasty and in decent portions. The house schnapps is a specialty and is the best schnapps I have ever drunk.

Food was ok. Roulade a bit dry, I also had fresher dumplings. Sauce convenience. It's a shame, because the atmosphere/decor is quaint and deserves better. Service was nice but a bit overzealous. Unfortunately, it wasn't until afterwards that we realized that we didn't get the salads listed on the menu. There is still room for improvement!

The restaurant is located in the middle of Erlangen in an old-fashioned building, which still exudes coziness in the dining rooms. The menu offers down-to-earth cuisine, and we particularly like the Bohemian delicacies. You can't really see a Bohemian sauerbraten with a rustic salad accompanied by Franconian beer again. Good, solid cuisine, friendly service - thank you.

Rustic restaurant with good Bohemian and Franconian food at reasonable prices 👍

The food is delicious, but the service today was very unfriendly. Went into the restaurant and stood in the entrance for a while. When no one came, we sat down at a free table. Then a waitress (a short man with little hair) came who looked at us in horror and complained that we had simply sat down at a table and that it could have been reserved. There was no reserved sign on the table! When asked if it was reserved he said “no”. So why did he bully us?? The usual service is always very nice and accommodating. Maybe that was the owner today, otherwise we can't explain why anyone else can afford to treat customers like that.

Leider.....kann ich nur 1 Stern geben....ich wählte das Karpfenfilet gebacken mit Bratkartoffeln.. Der Fisch 🐟 schmeckte nicht gut und mir war nach geraumer Zeit übel. D ieses Gericht war nicht einmal mehr lauwarm serviert. Das Ambiente ist gemütlich und sauber. Service hat gepasst.

Super Restaurant aber da es ziemlich voll war, waren die Portionen nun ziemlich klein Wein und Bier preise nun ja teuer besser gesagt zu teuer... Service top , Geschmack besser gesagt Qualität des Essens top aber einfach zu teuer sorry .

Das Essen war super lecker und reichhaltig.Das knoblauch Kartoffelschnitzel was sehr gut zubereitet.Ebenso die Ente mit böhmischen Knödel und der gemischte böhmische Bratenteller war auch sehr gut. Personal war sehr aufmerksam.Ein langjährig gutes und empfehlenswertes Lokal.

Wie immer hat alles gepasst. Gerne nach Weihnachten wieder.

Das Essen war ganz gut, der Service unterirdisch. Die Portionen waren nicht sonderlich groß. Nach einer Vorspeise, einem Hauptgang und einer Nachspeise war ich immer noch nicht satt.
