Got a table on Friday evening without a reservation. Good luck. Flank steak taken for two. Highly recommended. Fried to perfection. Service was really nice and on point.

Really disappointing visit to The Ash. Arrived and seated albeit under duress as we didn’t have a reservation. Then took 10 minutes despite being sat in front of the concierge desk to get menus and then no offer of would we like some drinks. Then completely ignored for over 15 minutes. Not so much as a drink or even a glass of water offered again whilst others came in got seated and orders taken. Service so poor that we gave up. Only when we had our coats on did anyone come over to us and then no apology, just told they were busy serving others. Would give zero stars if we could.

I can highly recommend the Ash in Cologne! The atmosphere is extremely cozy and the service is very attentive! Always my pleasure!

The atmosphere is very pleasant, the tapas are very tasty. Unfortunately, burgers all tend towards Schuhsole, so it would be good to ask when ordering how cooked you would like the meat. The vegan dishes are very tasty but the portions are very small (especially for the price) — at least a note about this would be good when ordering. Unfortunately I went home still hungry.

The 700g Flank is a must for two people. And takes the pepper sauce, just delicious. The steakhouse fries, grilled vegetables and baked potatoes are great as side dishes. As a starter, bread with aioli, olives and grilled peppers on top. Beforehand there was a few Kölsch and red wine with the meal.

We are a couple in Cologne and found the restaurant by chance. The food tasted very good We had the loin ribs with truffle sauce and BBQ sauce and sweet potato fries And also the salmon with mashed potatoes and spinach Both very tasty and good portions

The food was delicious and the service was attentive. I find the prices quite overpriced. The cheapest burger is almost 15 euros (and not really big). Unfortunately, the drink prices don't encourage you to have a second drink.

We had to wait a bit long, but what came next tasted great

We were there last night, around 6:00 p.m. The restaurant was well attended. An hour after our order we asked in a friendly manner, whereupon they apologized for the long time and the drinks were carried through the restaurant. 10 minutes later the food came. My chicken burger and the salad that came with it were a disgrace. The burger and the meat itself was dry and probably in the deep fryer for too long. Too little sauce and very carelessly prepared. The salad itself looked delicious but there was only a little bit of dressing. The rest was therefore tasteless. The meat of the others, be it steak or medallions, was also dry or the steak was too raw. The food simply costs too much for us to come back again.

We were there a few days ago after visiting the Cologne Odysseum and ended the afternoon. The service was friendly and attentive. The interior is a bit dark, so I almost couldn't read the menu, but that's probably due to age ;-) My wife had Wagyu steak with green asparagus and sweet potato puree and I had a fillet steak (200 g) with mac 'n' cheese and a green salad. Even though my wife doesn't eat much meat, she really enjoyed the Wagyu steak! Both steaks were cooked to perfection (for us) and arrived at the table hot. The price is a little more expensive, but the visit is worth it. We would go there again.

Went to Ash in Cologne for the first time today. And we were completely satisfied. Top service, exceptional ambience and the food and drinks were top 👍

I was at The Ash Messe City (weekday) with my boyfriend last July around 1:00 p.m. When we arrived we told the waitress that we wanted to eat from the lunch menu. To which she replied that there was no lunch menu. When I explained to her that both the website and the app offer a lunch menu, she went to the checkout and after about 5 minutes actually came back with the lunch menus. I found it unbelievable that the waitress tried to only offer the "A la Carte" menu, which obviously has higher prices. I can say that the food was very tasty. After I paid, I noticed that the points for the meal weren't showing up in my app. I went back to the waitress to explain the problem, to which she replied, extremely arrogantly, that there was nothing more she could do. Days later, I sent a message to The Ash page on Instagram asking for the points to be credited. The problem has been solved. In September I went to The Ash again with two people. The same waitress served us, we told her we wanted the lunch menu. She then said that the prices on the lunch menu were the same as those on the a la carte menu and there was no longer a lunch menu. I wanted to avoid major conflicts and we ended up only ordering 3 different burgers. Then, at home, I calmly checked The Ash website to see that the lunch menu was still priced differently than the a la carte menu. The food and drink points for 3 people again did not appear in my app. Unfortunately, with this type of service it is not possible to visit the restaurant again. It's a shame because the food is very good.

The first time the fries were served to us cold, and even though we ordered medium doneness, the meat was so tough that it was barely edible. We have already eaten at The ASH three or four times, even with 80 employees in Aachen, but after this experience we thought: never The ASH again. When we pointed this out to the waitress, the manager came to us - and he really deserves 5 stars plus. He openly explained to us that the supplier had unfortunately not delivered good quality meat at the moment and immediately brought us a new steak. Additionally, he invited us for dessert, which was a very nice gesture. But it's not about the invitation, it's about the way the manager reacted and spoke to us. Thank you again! As a manager with over 100 employees, I can say: This manager is absolutely in the right place and more than deserves his job in this branch.

Great service and very friendly. The restaurant looks like it has a special target group. Concept something like that between Maredo and Hans im Glück. Perfect for trade fair visitors and business people, if you want to drink a few Kölsch and have a snack, you might be better off going somewhere else. Unfortunately, we were not made aware of the October offer and only discovered the notices later; the service could still collect bonus points here.

Food is not fresh and waiters are very rude.. I won't go there anymore!

We went to the restaurant with our little son on Friday evening after a long journey without a reservation. The staff quickly set up a table for us that had just become available. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The food was good and everything went smoothly. Overall it was a nice visit to the restaurant

Wir waren wirklich zufrieden und fanden es angenehm, daß auf Bitte auch die Beschallung etwas heruntergepegelt wurde. Das ASH ist eine gute Empfehlung und wir werden wiederkommen.

Ridiculously small portion for 13€ of Chili con carne. I mean yeah this place wants to be fancy but come on this box is 6x12cm big and filled with 2cm of food…

Leider konnte sich der Kellner weder mit der The ASH App, noch mit den Month Deals oder der Bezahlung mit einem Wertgutschein aus, sodass man jedes Mal auf einen Manager warten musste. Die Deutschkenntnisse waren leider auch eher mau… Dafür ist das Ganze einfach zu teuer, dann sollte der Service auch annähernd passen. Schade, waren schon fünf mal hier und es ist immer 50/50 ob es ein guter Abend wird, oder eine Katastrophe… Das Essen im Allgemeinen ist jeder sehr qualitativ hochwertig und lecker!

We celebrated a birthday there and the service was nice and accommodating. I had ordered a truffle pasta, but unfortunately it didn't work out as there wasn't enough truffles and it tasted more like pasta with cream sauce and to charge €20 for that is quite steep. We had brought our own cake, but the restaurant charged €3 per person for a plate, which was really outrageous. We didn't even get a knife to cut the cake, if you knew it was a birthday you could have put in some effort and that would have been nice. First time there and unfortunately also the last time!

Although I'm not vegan, I ordered the vegan Tuna Tataki. It looked extremely authentic, which is why I asked the waitress if it was really the vegan one (I know the real thing, I've eaten it there many times and it looked identical). I was assured that it was vegan. When else did I order both the vegan and the original and discovered that I had been lied to the previous time. I was sold ice cold real tuna as vegan tuna.

Extremely bad service. Only one worker to cover the entire restaurant at lunchtime. So disappointing.

Girl at the door seems like she is Forced to work there, staff completely ignorant, we were waiting 20minutes for somebody to take our order, 3 times we came and asked to be served…Another small chinese lady without even looking at me kept saying to wait…so we Walked out, not ever returning there and I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I arrived shortly before the kitchen closed, but was able to order something quickly without any problem and the food was delivered just as quickly. The best thing: it tasted great. In addition, very, very good and nice service staff who made me an extra drink at half past 12 in the night. This is really customer-oriented and should happen more often.

Sehr schönes Ambiente, super leckeres Essen nur ein älterer Kellner war sehr laut, weil er von jedem die Fußball-Ergebnisse haben wollte und sich lautstark über die Mannschaften beschwerte. Sonst alles perfekt. Immer wieder gerne 😘

In the restaurant, the steak was burnt on the outside and served raw on the inside. The french fries were also burnt. However, the waiter and the boss were very polite and friendly, and they exchanged the food immediately. Still, I think there is a serious problem in the kitchen that they should pay attention to.

Let's start with the start of our visit on August 25th, 2024 at 8:45 p.m. We were greeted normally at the reception and the lady's body language quickly gave the impression that she was a bit annoyed and didn't have much interest. When we arrived at the table, we (three people) decided very quickly what we wanted to eat and signaled this by stacking the menus closed on the edge of the table. After a while, our order was taken and we mentioned at the same time that it would be nice if the light was turned on in the corner where we were sitting. 3x small Cola without ice 3x pulled pork burgers 1x fries 1x kringle fries 1x Mac and Cheese After a while we were brought a pilsner which we had to refuse because the waiter no longer knew which table he had to go to. A little while later (about 30 minutes) our food came to the next table, which of course also refused. After we made ourselves known, the waiter came to us with the food. The mac and cheese and one mayo were forgotten during the meal. We also pointed out to him our drinks that were still missing and our cutlery. At the end of this ordeal everyone had their proper food, drink and cutlery. The problem, however, was that the food was only hand warm. Since we were hungry and already desperate because of the whole thing, we didn't let the food go back when the waitress asked. The waitress, who was otherwise really nice, bought us drinks. We just paid for dinner quickly and left immediately. Other information about the restaurant: The open kitchen made a clean, fast and coordinated impression, which was unfortunately hindered by an inadequate service team. The food was delicious, you can't say anything else. Conclusion: Food 3 stars because it was cold but tasty. Service 2 stars because it was slow and uncoordinated. But an apology was given with drinks. Ambience 4 stars because it is really clean and nice here, it just took a long time until the request for light was granted. Unfortunately it was the first and last time I visited The ASH.

Absolutely rude staff! After we ate our table was cleared and one of the service staff accidentally spilled a bowl of hot sauce on a friend of mine. That's not a bad thing, something like that happens to everyone. But the way it was handled was an absolute disgrace! All the clothes are completely soaked in sauce and the only thing the waitress offers is to give us the dessert we had already eaten on the house, especially since the person in question didn't even order dessert. We then had to ask on our own whether we could get a shirt or something to at least hide the huge stain for the rest of the day. After several conversations with the waitress and boss, we got a wrapped shirt. After everything that happened, the waitress asked when paying if she could still get a tip. How bold is that!?

Food was great, would have gotten five but our table was forgotten for an hour while we were waiting for the check. 😁 I ended up getting the 3D printed meat and it was delightful, reminds me of seitan or tofu

The food was ok, but the price wasn't justified. Service staff don't care, make promises they can't keep and if you don't follow up you are completely ignored. The evening was an absolute disaster and I would not recommend it under any circumstances.

We stayed in the Adina hotel right next to The Ash, so we decided to eat there because it was convenient. Luckily for us it was also very good food! We had the chicken supreme, the truffle pasta and the soup. It's a big menu, but everything tastes fresh. A nice bonus is that there is a lot of room next to the restaurant to play and run, so our son (who doesn't like to wait) could run around and play some more. The waitress (who was so kind!) also gave us a paper and some pencils so he could draw, which was very much appreciated.

Sehr leckere und schnell zubereitete Speisen. Getränke ebenfalls sehr schmackhaft. Personal ist freundlich und auf Zack. Einzig während der Gamescom stand direkt neben dem Restaurant ein Securitymann der Messe mit Megafon und brüllte, wo man lang gehen sollte - dafür kann das Restaurant aber nichts.

Essen war sehr schnell da. Leider gab es mehrmals verwechselungen sodass umser Tisch plötzlich Gerichte für Nachbartische bekommen sollte. Die Rechnung stimmte aber wieder

Essen top! Ambiente gut! Musik leider etwas zu laut. Die Kellnerin war ne kleine Katastrophe. Nachdem wir 1 Minute die Karte hatten, kam sie bereits. Soweit so gut. Aber nachdem wir die Getränke bestellt haben, ist sie am Tisch stehen geblieben und hat angefangen mit ihren (längeren) Fingernägeln auf dem Tisch zu tippeln. Äußerst nervig und auch unhöflich den Gästen gegenüber, so einen Druck zu machen. Dann wollte sie uns noch das 3x so teure Steak andrehen. Als sie dann beim bezahlen sagte: „Ihr gebt ja Trinkeld“, da war der Abend was den Service betrifft gelaufen. Nett war der Herr am Empfang. Sonst gibt’s nicht auszusetzen.

Wenn ein Kölsch 4,20 € kostet, ist das schon viel Geld. Leider waren die Süßkartoffel Fritten kalt, so dass wir sie zurückgehen lassen mussten. Es war ein bisschen Chaos

The space is comfortable and inviting. I'm a fan of the soft lighting and outdoor seating. The food was consistently delicious that I came back multiple times. My ribeye was cooked perfectly. I had a bite of my friend's 3d printed meat and it was incredible. The best non-meat I've had. The service was great. I made a mistake and put in a reservation at the completely wrong time. They helped get me a takeout order when I requested it. They did a really great job dealing with a massive Gamescom crowd showing up. Service was friendly all the times I was there. Thank you :)

We were made to wait outside the front of the restaurant by the front of house staff for 25 minutes, even though there was a table available out the front. After the 25 minutes we were told to sit down at the table that had been available for the whole time we were stood out the front of the restaurant. Waiter was really good, but front of house staff were not accommodating.

Sehr gute Lage direkt an der Messe, sehr freundliches Personal , super Ambiente und leckeres Essen ... was möchte man mehr :)

Essen war wie immer ok aber viel zu laut am Dienstag vor der Gamescom. Dadurch kam keine Atmosphäre bei einer Familie mit 3 Kindern zu Stande und dadurch stimmte das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis leider nicht mehr. Auch mit der Bedienung konnte man aufgrund der Lautstärke nicht mehr kommunizieren und Fragen zum Angebot stellen, was gerade bei Kindern sehr wichtig ist. Die Crunch Fries waren wiederholt zu lasch und mussten zurückgegeben werden und die Kinder hatten erst zu wenig und dann zu viele Saucen, alles natürlich berechnet.

The place is friendly and welcoming. The service was a little long (around 35 minutes for a burger) but as we were on vacation, it didn't bother us that much. The waiter was very pleasant, smiling and giving a deserved tip. The only downside was that the woman at reception was disgusting, no hello, no thank you, no smile, we literally had the impression of pissing her off. I recommend it all the same ;)

The salad from the summer menu was a highlight! Everyone also enjoyed the main courses, and the vegetarian/vegan selection was particularly well received by everyone. Unfortunately we found the desserts to be bad, there is still room for improvement. The service was friendly. The ambience isn't bad either.

As always, the food was really good and you can't complain. Service was really bad that evening, long waiting time, order forgotten. But you are friendly and funny. The ambience is nice but not really anything exciting.

We were on a short trip to Cologne and went to this restaurant because of its proximity to the hotel. From the outside and inside it is really very chic and the service was also very nice at the beginning. However, the food and service absolutely did not live up to this first impression. We had the carpaccio twice where the meat simply tasted watery and like nothing, and that for €20. My burger was okay but not something you would recommend and the fries were cold/lukewarm. After we were finished we sat at the table for a while but the waitress didn't even come to us to ask if we would like something more to drink or something similar. We also had to wait an eternity and point out twice that we were paying want (the store was hardly visited) They didn't even ask if everything was okay. A friend had to go back from sixh and deliver her criticism. All in all, I cannot and will not recommend this store and will avoid it in the future.

Very tasty food in a pleasant atmosphere. Nice and attentive staff. In addition to the classic burger and steak offerings, there is also a nice selection of tapas.

Die Vorspeise war hervorragend, der Hauptgang (Lachs) etwas zu durch. Die Beilagen waren aber sehr gut. Die Bedienungen hätten etwas aufmerksamer sein können. Getränke waren leer und es dauerte bis man wieder etwas nachbestellen konnte.

The beef fillet was cooked beyond the requested cooking point, but it was exactly what I wanted. The other dishes were also excellent. Likewise the red house wine “The ASH”. The waiter was very concerned about my well-being, prompt and friendly. I was completely satisfied.

Alles super. Tolles Essen, wundervolles Ambiente. Es war einfach ein toller Geburtstag.

Mein Besuch bei The ASH Köln MesseCity am 2. August 2024 war insgesamt gut. Das Essen fand ich sehr gut, während der Service, das Ambiente und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis nur mittelmäßig waren. Der Geräuschpegel war laut, da das Restaurant direkt am Bahnhof liegt.

Der Tisch an den man uns platzierte war nicht sauber. Nachdem wir darum baten den Tisch einmal zu wischen, wurde es von der jungen Bedienung nur halbherzig erledigt. Wir mussten auch über 40 Min auf unser Essen warten, obwohl nicht so viel los war. Das Filetsteak war ok, spielt aber nicht in der obersten Liga mit. Die Sanitärräume waren auch nicht so sauber. Der Laden ist aber schick und ruhig gelegen. Das Preisleistungsverhältnis stimmt hier absolut nicht. Viel zu teuer für das was einem geboten wird. Wir gehen hier nicht nochmal hin.

Angenehme Atmosphäre. Modernes Ambiente. Essen kam sehr schnell. Ok, war mittags und nicht viel los. Essen bis auf kleine Abstriche sehr gut. Service sehr freundlich. Hatten ein Geburtstagskind dabei. Tolle Aufmerksamkeit vom Service. Leckeres Dessert mit Feuerwerk. Sehr schön. Wir haben uns gefreut. Kommen gerne wieder.

We weren't served for what felt like 30 minutes and then it took another 15 minutes for the drink to arrive. The waitress was fake friendly and rolled her eyes when we asked for the bill. The service was not adequate for the price.

Die Qualität der Speisen, vor allem des Fleisches, ist sehr gut

Es war Ok und lecker, aber wir hatten uns was noch besseres vorgestellt. Aber alle Angestellte waren mega lieb!

Wir haben das Restaurant gestern um 18 Uhr für ein Business Meeting gebucht Die Service Kraft war einfach super bemüht und hat uns trotz allergischen Unverträglichkeiten ein super Angebot an Beilagen und Saucen zaubern lassen. Danke auch für den Heizstrahler draußen So konnten wir trotz Regen, draußen sitzen bleiben. Sind bald wieder zum Essen da!

Service würde ich gerne 10 Sterne geben. Super freundlich und aufmerksam. Essen war auch super . Pancakes hätten warm sein können ,Geschmack war kalt auch gut . Kleiner Tipp von uns ,frisches Obst ist besser als der angebotene Obstsalat. Kommen gerne wieder.

The atmosphere is very pleasant and the prices for the burgers including side dishes are great (from €14.90). The cheeseburger was medium fried and very tasty. The rosemary potatoes were also very good and the extra sour cream was great. The lava cake had the promised liquid core. However, it was still dry and too small for €8. The service was very friendly, but not very present. We had to wait longer for our drinks to be reordered, which put a bit of a dampener on the evening.

Die Bedingungen ist sehr freundlich und hies uns herzlich Willkommen. Der Brunch war sehr gut ausgestattet und geschmacklich sehr gut, die Lion Rips sehr lecker. Auch der Filterkaffee war lecker sowie der O-Saft die im Preis inbegriffen waren. Bestellt hatte ich mir noch einen Cappuccino und der war sehr gut. Alles in allem sehr gelungen und sehr lecker. Beim bezahlen kam ich mir vor wie in Kanada wo am beim bezahlen 10-12-15% als Trinkgeld vorgeschlagen werden, was nicht schlecht ist aber doch einen quasi etwas zwingt.

Essen verfehlte etwas meinen Geschmack - Geschmackssache! Dafür war das Dessert ein Traum. Nette Bedienung - keine langen Wartezeiten zwischen den Gängen

Nach dem wir mit dem Essen fertig waren war der Tisch ziemlich eingesaut durch den Fleischsaft des Brettes. Leider wurde dies nicht sauber gemacht und die Kaffeetassen wurden in die Saftlache gestellt. Leider nicht schön.

Reservations were honored with comments and we got an incredibly comfortable seat with an even more brilliant view. The food was very, very tasty, delivered in under 10 minutes, despite medium occupancy! Our Lillet was also perfectly mixed. We'll definitely be back. Just for the very tasty truffle mayo

To be next to the fair I saw reasonable prices. It is open until late since we went to eat at 4:00 p.m. and they fed us. The waiter's attention was not very cordial, he got even angrier when we left him the minimum tip.

Die vegetarischen Gerichte von Redefine Meat sind besonders gut. Das Flank Steak hat eine gute Kruste, perfekte Textur und schmeckt lecker
