I was really looking forward to the visit, but was completely disappointed. As soon as we arrived, it was clear that communication was extremely difficult - no one in the team spoke enough German, which led to many misunderstandings. The friendliness also left a lot to be desired. The staff seemed consistently uninterested and not trying hard. A simple smile or greeting would have been a good start - unfortunately none. The overall atmosphere seemed unkempt. Tables weren't cleaned properly, the floor was dirty, and the overall impression was just unhygienic. This could have been easily avoided with a little attention. The food was the sad highlight: none of it seemed fresh, the taste was hard to define. At times it smelled unpleasant, and the presentation was just as bland as the rest of the visit. Unfortunately I couldn't finish my dish.

yesterday: a taxi pulls up and two employees of the restaurant take a red butcher's plastic tub full of meat from the trunk, which is of course not refrigerated. When I visited I can say the salad was moldy. Service was zero. Papagnoj is bad, unfortunately it wasn't tasty because it ended up being expensive so there's no second time

Shisha is offered there, and it's a big male hotspot. Therefore, it might not be suitable for Muslims, who avoid shisha and are careful not to have shisha around them. It's also less suitable for women, as it's mostly men. Otherwise, everything was great.

We got 3 shawarma, all 3 didn't have enough sauce. The meat was way too light and dry. One would have liked roasted aromas here. The meat was absolutely unseasoned and tasteless. All I can say about the bread is that it was rubbery and tasteless. We advise against a visit and cannot recommend the restaurant. Something that was still inappropriate: After us, three small groups came into the restaurant. Although we had ordered beforehand, we only received our "simple" order (their ordering was more complex) after they did. Probably because we weren't Arabic enough. Gastronomy is no fun. This store, as bright as it is and as sorry as I am, won't last long with this poor quality. There are plenty of better alternatives on Kalker Hauptstraße.

Warning about the Cham restaurant in Cologne-Kalk! 1 star just because you couldn't give it 0. Even 1 star is too much!!! What happened to us here is an absolute disgrace! We were heading to a surprise birthday party with a group of about 20 people, but accidentally got the wrong address. Instead of pointing out that we were in the wrong restaurant, the greedy staff simply shoved us into a disgusting, smelly back room that looked like a closet. They clearly hoped to cash in quickly from the large group - just cheeky! Particularly disgusting: They saw exactly how stressful it was for us to even get into the restaurant with a person in a wheelchair. Still, no one opened their mouths to tell us that we didn't even have a reservation here! Instead, we were just shoved into this dump as if we were stupid enough not to notice. This store is the definition of dubious! The staff was rude, the atmosphere was creepy, and the entire evening was an imposition. Anyone who leaves even a cent here has only themselves to blame. Conclusion: Avoid this store at all costs!

Delicious veal shawarma and hummus. I'll definitely come back for the shawarma! The restaurant is just a snack bar but you get your food quickly and the staff is friendly.

I ordered 4 shawarma with chicken and 1 portion of grape leaves with rice through Lieferando. According to the description, the shawarma also had pickled cucumbers and garlic sauce on it, but there was only a measly blob of sauce on it so that all the shawarma were bone dry. The meat was also very dry and the shawarma was hard to eat. I even had to put oil on the meat to somehow get it down. I complained by phone and had to call a total of 3 times before I could speak to the owner. He said that it was normal that there was so little sauce on it, which is absolutely not normal and in other shops you get significantly more sauce on the shawarma. Overall, I am extremely dissatisfied because I spent so much money on inedible shawarma and I will never order there again and I would advise against it. The service and the boss are also extremely unfriendly. In the picture you can see that there is only a tiny blob of sauce on it. Because it was like this on all shawarma, there was no chance of an oversight and there was a system behind it and it was a pure rip-off.

Cham is pretty hit-or-miss. Sometimes the roast chicken and the grill dishes like the kebab are delicious. Other times, they’re really overcooked and dry. The hummus is excellent, and the stuffed grape leaves are very good.

ÄI ate a shawarma at this restaurant and it was the worst decision ever. Shortly afterwards I felt extremely unwell - I had food poisoning and was vomiting all evening. Something like this simply shouldn't happen! Hygiene seems to be a foreign word here. Absolute disaster, I can only advise anyone not to eat here. Never again!

One of the culinary, best quality, tastiest, friendliest restaurants with the best ambience that I have ever experienced in my 28 years of life. The food tastes so delicious that I ordered it again. I order there almost four times a week and the food is heavenly and divine. People who don't like the food from this restaurant clearly have a problem with themselves and absolutely no taste for oriental food.

The service is fast and great. The people are friendly and you, as a customer, are always the focus of their attention

Had 1/2 chicken with fattoush salad and lentil soup. The 1/2 chicken was a bit over salted and dry, not as juicy as you would expect. It's a shame, I wouldn't order the dish again. Unfortunately, the Fattoush salad wasn't very tasty either, as it wasn't seasoned with fresh mint, lemon juice or pomegranate syrup. That's what makes a real fattoush so delicious. My salad consisted of tomato, cucumber, parsley and toasted bread. Without dressing such as salt and pepper. I gave it 2 stars because overall it wasn't well prepared but it was fresh. The lentil soup was delicious. A classic with a curry note.

For a while it was the best Syrian in Kalk, but now it's often no longer tasty. Some of the bread wasn't even baked through.
