If I could, I'd give it way more than 5 stars! This restaurant is simply a little piece of Italy right here in our community. The moment you walk in, you feel the warm and welcoming atmosphere – you're always greeted with a smile, and the owner is incredibly friendly and attentive. You can immediately tell that the hospitality here comes from the heart. The food is divine! Every dish tastes authentically Italian – fresh, full of flavor, and prepared with so much love and attention to detail. Whether it's pasta, pizza, or antipasti – everything is just perfect. You can taste the quality of the ingredients and the passion with which they cook. The ambiance is also wonderfully cozy and inviting. You immediately feel at ease and can forget about everyday life for a while. For us, it's like a mini-vacation to Italy every time – we love coming back! In short: If you're looking for authentic Italian food, warm hospitality, and a welcoming atmosphere, this is the place for you. A truly heartfelt restaurant ❤️

Very authentic Italian with excellent cuisine and delicious wine. Highly recommended.

We were there with five people and ate a variety of dishes. The drinks (Cola, Regular/Zero) were tasteless. Bottled water (€6.70!) and sealed bottles of beer are recommended. Regarding the food: The pizzas had a tasteless, very hard crust (like crispbread), and the toppings were mediocre. The truffle pasta was rated as too "simple." Overall, we wouldn't recommend this restaurant.

For an authentic Italian pizzeria, the pizza wasn't particularly spectacular. The dough was too hard and burnt. Service was so-so.

You probably have to be from Cologne to rate this store positively.

The restaurant doesn't have high chairs, and babies are generally difficult to accommodate. We felt very unwelcome. The waiter was unfriendly and dismissive, and we'd rather not give them a star for service. The pizza was very hard, but OK. Overall, a rather difficult visit.

I had reserved a table for four people over the phone for this evening. When we arrived at the restaurant, the owner told us he wouldn't be opening that evening, there were no customers, and that he hadn't made a reservation. Not a word of apology!

A simple but really nice restaurant where the owner still serves and cooks himself. You shouldn't expect fancy Italian food. But is that what you want to expect? This is what you imagine authentic Italian cuisine to be. With a family atmosphere and a very pleasant chat with the chef. You simply feel at home and are treated to excellent delicacies. I haven't experienced anyone being unfriendly here yet. The prices are perfectly reasonable for what is offered. From my point of view, I can unconditionally recommend Ars Vivendi. Unfortunately, Salvatore disappointed us on our last visit. We had reserved a table and were looking forward to a pleasant evening. When we arrived, we were informed that he was closing his restaurant because there weren't enough guests. He didn't want to hear anything about our reservation. We were very surprised. What annoyed us most was that he didn't even apologize to us. That's simply not the way to treat guests.

Just picked up pizza locally and unfortunately got black pizza. I'm a fan of roasted flavors, but releasing something like that is a cheek.

Sweet little shop, went there spontaneously today with 4 friends and got a spot straight away. The staff was really friendly and we didn't have to wait long for our food. enjoy your meal.

Recommendation! Relaxed atmosphere with good food. Family service. Every dish was very tasty. The clams harmonized beautifully with the crunchy garlic. Chanterelles were super juicy and fresh. The pizza was crispy and large.

Eravamo in 4 e abbiamo ordinato una parmigiana, un carpaccio al tonno e un antipasto della casa. Qualità del cibo scadente, antipasto della casa scandaloso. Praticamente un mappazzone di piccole cose messe in un piatto senza nessun senso. Quantità davvero misere e prezzi molto alti per il cibo offerto. La parmigiana in un bagno di olio. Sconsigliatissimo !!!

Terrific!!! Really great service, excellent food, moderate prices. The boss cooks here 🥰 My companion and I had lasagna and a pizza with gogonzola, spinach and garlic. This was thin, crispy and the Gorgonzola was wonderful.

Unfortunately, a very unpleasant restaurant visit. The food was okay, but when we asked for the bill and wanted to pay separately with each receipt, the waitress became very rude, apparently because the cashier couldn't issue a separate invoice (expense invoice). Card payments weren't possible either, and even when we paid in cash, the waitress treated us terribly. When we did the math, they rudely criticized us for not being able to do mental arithmetic. Zero stars for the service, which is so rude and rude to its paying guests!

We give it 5+ because we are more than satisfied with every visit. We come to eat at ArsVivendi both privately and on business, it has the best here!!!! Pizza we have ever eaten and the fish is also extra delicious!!!! The wines and Italian beer are highly recommended. Many thanks to Salvatore

Sprechen hier alle vom selben Chef und Koch? Also. Pizzen kann man anderswo bessere bekommen. Wenn man ungestört sitzen und auch nicht nach weiteren Getränkewünschen gefragt werden möchte, dann ist man hier richtig. Ein bisschen Durchzug gibt es gratis. Und die Abrechnung sollte man überprüfen. Preise stimmen mit der Karte nicht zwingend überein und Wechselgeld wird auch schon mal zu wenig zurückgegeben.

Wir wollten den kleinen Italiener um die Ecke schon lange testen. Heute haben wir ihm eine Chance gegeben. Der rote Hauswein ist ok aber als gut würde ich ihn nicht bezeichnen. Wir hätten gerne eine Vorspeisenvariantion gehabt, diese sei zu viel Aufwand daher müsse man sich für einzelne Vorspeisen entscheiden. Der kleine Antipastiteller schmeckte nicht selbstgemacht, genauso der Salat mit Seafood. Der Oktopus war leider nicht frisch zubereitet. Das Brot, welches es dazu gab war noch angeschimmelt - als wir es zurückgaben bekamen wir neues - das wars. Das war damit dann auch der ganze Abend - 50,- Euro für nichts. Ich hätte gerne von einem schönen Abend berichtet.

Sehr lecker, authentisch italienisch, schöne Atmosphäre. Eine super Pizza und frische Tagesgerichte. Ein uriger Italiener, wie es ihn heute leider nicht mehr oft gibt. Wir kommen wieder :-)

Einfach wie in Kalabrien! Gute kalabrische Küche. Der Inhaber bedient die Gäste sehr herzlich.

Speisen sind in Ordnung und preislich okay. Pizzen sollten aber nicht schwarz am Rand sein. Achtung beim Wein, hier wird anstatt des Chardonnay auch mal der Hauswein ausgeschenkt. Allerdings enttäuschte uns die Rechnung sehr. Hier gilt es sehr aufzupassen. Es werden willkürlich Speisen und Getränke aufgelistet. Das ich anschließend eine unnötig lange Diskussion führen muss setzt dem Ganzen nur noch die Krone auf. Wir werden weiterhin auf eine gute Pizzeria in Braunsfeld warten. Schade!

Unser geliebter Salvatore! Ein absolut herzlicher sowie durch und durch Italienischer Gourmeggle. Unsere Hochzeit haben wir dort mit viel Herz und Liebe gefeiert.... Und obwohl wir umgezogen sind.... Es zieht uns immer wieder zu ihm hin! Einfach ein Unikat!

Tolles Speiserestaurant, Leckere Speisen, wie der Name schon sagt" die Kunst zu leben", erlesene Weine und Sonne Italiens. Belissima Grande. Nur zu empfehlen.

Essen war höchstens mittelmäßig. Pannacotta matschig und mit Sprühsahne, Pizza nicht durch.

Das Essen hängt ganz davon ab, was es gerade zu kaufen gab, was weg muss, und wie Salvatore gerade gelaunt ist. Wenn er jemanden nicht mag, bekommt dieser das dann auch sehr stark mit, ob Kunde oder nicht. Aus der Küche qualmt es, da offensichtlich keine Dunstabzugshaube verfügbar ist. Die Preise an der Feinkosttheke sind nicht angegeben und schwanken sehr stark von Kunde zu Kunde und Tag zu Tag. Die St. Pellegrino Wasserflaschen kommen geöffnet an den Tisch. Schade, früher wars irgendwie schöner hier.

Für zwar leckere aber einfache italienische Hausmannskost viel zu überteuert, billigste Weine werden mit einem Preisaufschlag von über 500% verkauft. Ganz nette Atmosphäre auch wenn der Chef sich nach 25 Jahren in Deutschland immer noch mit der Sprache sehr schwertut.

Bei unseren bisherigen Besuchen haben wir immer die persönliche Betreuung und Beratung durch den Besitzer genossen. Neben einer kleinen Standardkarte finden sich häufig wechselnde Gerichte auf einer Tafel. Diese sind immer eine gute Wahl. Alternativ eine der besten Pizzas wie ich sie mag: dünner Boden, knusprig,einfach gut. Es gibt häufig neue italienische Weinangebote von Regionen,Winzern, Rebsorten die man woanders nicht bekommt. Immer einen Versuch wert. Nach dem Umbau vor ca 1 Jahr ist in dem kleinen Lokal mit Bistro Character ein wenig mehr Platz. Wir freuen uns schon auf das nächste Mal "zu Hause bei der Familie"
