Ordered sushi online for pickup in advance. Unfortunately, the sushi wasn't ready 20 minutes after the agreed pickup time and I asked for a refund, which was refused. The sushi was then thrown together quickly and didn't taste good at all. A lot of money for the barrel :(

I've actually always been happy, but today both my friends and I had to throw up after the miso ramen and were constantly in the toilet. Saturday evening was over...

I was recommended this place by a friend who lives in Cologne, who mentioned that it's one of the best ramen restaurants in the city, and he was absolutely right! The Miso Ramen was just sublime, and the Karaage and spicy shrimp dumplings were also tasty. The atmosphere was pleasant, the staff are friendly and helpful. Tables outside are also nice during summer. I would definitely go back again if I crave ramen during my next stay in Cologne.

The sushi 🍣 was ​​really delicious. The operation, i.e. the service, was really good. The only things that weren't so good were the fact that only card payment was possible and the outside seating was really hard and took some getting used to. But still come back!!

This is one of the finest places to enjoy great Ramen, chicken wings, gyoza,miso aurbegine and great cocktails! I highly recommend this place. Hands down It is one of the best eateries in Köln.

A spontaneous visit where we were not disappointed! The food (Crispy Chili Gyoza, Dynamite Shrimp, Dragon Roll, Crazy Tuna Roll) was consistently very tasty and attractively presented. Clear risk of repetition! The drinks and their pricing should be reconsidered. A 0.2 liter (!!!) Pepsi for €3.50? A mediocre espresso martini for €11? This continues with the other drinks. No, sorry, that costs the fifth star.

We only drank a cappuccino and an espresso macchiato, very good quality, portafilter machine and high quality espresso beans. The service was extremely friendly and quick. Tap water was included free of charge.

I've been here four times over the years and have only come here for ramen with some sides. Therefore I only review ramen. Overall, the ramen was okay, but the broth was never hot enough. Sushi is fusion, which I hate. Sushi is best eaten with fresh ingredients such as rice, fish and wasabi. No hot, crappy sauce, mayonnaise? WT... The store was nice and always busy, the things were always good.

UPDATE 2024: Unfortunately, the ramen's taste has deteriorated... and the toppings are no longer as good in quality. Sushi and Co. Tastes good! The timing of the kitchen could be better. The ordered starter (edamame) was served at the end of the meal, which was a bit of a shame. Cash payment is ONLY possible. **** Great and charming restaurant. The service and staff were courteous and extremely friendly! The Shio Ramen tastes amazing and is a must try!

Went there at lunchtime with kids and surprisingly: my 8 year old wanted sushi with cucumber and avocado, it was calculated as if the shrimp that had been left out had still been there. My son had a blurry ramen, a little hint that the topping was seasoned with chili would have been welcome when taking the order. The second ramen ordered was with cold pork belly, cold egg and moderate broth. We also ordered edamame, grilled avocado and eggplant with miso honey. These preparations took 25 minutes and the ones mentioned first were already eaten. You cannot pay here with the generally accepted payment method “cash” but must do so with a card. Only the fact that the service person did this with her debit card and accepted my cash is a big plus point for our service, while her colleague only had a stroppy answer (probably said hundreds of times) when asked whether it was possible when ordering Edamame, avocado and eggplant were lost. All in all: I like to spend my (cash) money on enjoyment and friendliness, but I don't need others to be able to keep track of where and how much the amount was. And the amount here was clearly 20-25% too high!

What the hell was that? Everything was great, the ramen was perfect, the order arrived in 5 minutes.

By far the best frame of my life. It's a shame that I have to drive 1 hour for the experience. But I'd like to do it. The frames could be a bit hotter for my taste but the overall package is an absolute 5/5!!!

The food was delicious and the service was friendly. But what is simply not possible: given the relatively high prices (ramen 18 euros), you are also asked on the card terminal during the payment process whether you would like to tip 10%, 15% or 20%. I find that to be bold and invasive.

We spontaneously went to eat at Daikan on a Saturday evening. We didn't have to wait and the service was very friendly. The food was super delicious! We both ordered ramen. The food was at the table quickly :) Miso ramen costs just under €20, which we found to be quite expensive. But in the end the taste was worth it! The drinks were delicious 👍🏼 There was a lot going on in the Belgian quarter that evening... so there were a lot of cars on the road, which were piled up next to our table. The restaurant is located where there is a lot going on in the evenings. Maybe you're looking for a spot with good food and a lot of hustle and bustle. Then you are right here! We'll be happy to come back the next time we visit Cologne ☺️

You can get really tasty ramen in this nice little restaurant. The chicken was a bit dry, but the broth was extremely tasty. However, I actually find the lunch menu with a drink and three dumplings 21 euros a bit steep. The service was very friendly, the ambience was nothing special.

Delicious ramen. Gyoza were okay. Price-performance tends to be more expensive (miso ramen just under €20). The ambience was great, outside area right on the street for eating. Unfortunately, service was understaffed that day, but the waitresses tried to compensate. We had to stand in a queue for 10 minutes because the tables had not yet been cleared so that we could sit down. The toilets are in the courtyard via a careless path through the courtyard.

A great experience & an absolute recommendation. The selection is large and there is something for everyone. The sashimi department is really an eye-catcher as well as a taste experience. We'd love to come back!

Waitress brings a bottle of water and the 2 glasses stacked on top of each other and just puts them on the table for us. According to the motto don't be bothered, pour yourself. I've never experienced anything like that anywhere. The other waitress was nicer. Whether it was sushi or appetizers, everything tasted sweet, there was this orange mayonnaise everywhere so that everything tasted the same. You couldn't push the mayo away because it was spread everywhere. The 8!Sushi rolls for €21.90 made from Japanese beef didn't taste good either. Afterwards I got a nice stomach ache.

It was our first time at Daikan and our first time trying ramen. The taste was really great and I recommend it!! The employee was friendly and attentive. There are enough seats outside too. Unfortunately, we found the price for the ramen too high given the portion size (€18 per portion). Especially because the dish consists mainly of chicken broth and noodles. I also find it a bit strange that the restaurant doesn't accept cash payments. You can only pay by card, but customers are not informed about this in advance, but only during the payment process.

We went there on a recommendation! Nice shop, our host was great, her tip with the espresso martini was delicious. The food was really good, we ordered different bits and pieces to try as much as possible! It was a successful evening!. Kind regards from Mannheim.

Great food and beautiful location!

We really loved the sushi! We ordered four different rolls (Dragon Roll, Rainbow Roll, Crazy Salmon Roll and Red Pepper Roll - I hope I still remember the names correctly 😅). All of them were beautifully presented and very tasty. You could look directly into the kitchen and watch it being prepared.

The restaurant is kinda small. And they don't provide reservations. So based on your luck to get a place to seat, because the food is very very good! My go-to ramen place

The food itself was quite tasty. The only problem was that the drinks took about 25 minutes, one main course took about 30 minutes and the second main course took about 45 minutes. Unfortunately the starter didn't come at all. When asked, the waitress was extremely unfriendly and told us to leave the restaurant. Unfortunately, extremely poor service.

The quality of the food was really very good. Unfortunately it was a bit noisy because it was very crowded, but that's the only negative point.

The ramen was excellent and so were the appetizers. However, the “waiting process” is extremely inconclusive. At peak times, there are of course a lot of people waiting in line in front of the restaurant, where you then line up as usual. Nobody from the outside can know that an additional entry on the list in the restaurant is necessary. We were told when we got to the front after about an hour of waiting... I knew there was a wait at this type of restaurant, but the place definitely has room for improvement in that regard. Nevertheless, it was very, very tasty 😋🍜

Flavourful Asian fusion food with high quality ingredients. The house made ice tea was fresh and nice as well. Staff were extremely kind. The waiting time to get in is not very long as they make space to accommodate everyone.

Was here for the first time today, sat outside so I can't say much about the ambience. It took a relatively long time for the food to arrive and there were only 2 soups and takoyaki and this only came when the soups were almost gone. Regarding the ramen itself, the portions are very small for the price and I don't understand what raw shallots are looking for in there and the broth itself was relatively tasteless unfortunately and this is one of the most important things about the ramen, I really don't understand all the great reviews. I've had a lot of ramen (also in Cologne) and I have to say that for the price you can get more and better! Unfortunately, the takoyaki were also only slightly larger than Rocher balls, which I find quite small compared to most others I know and for the hefty price. The taste was fine, but could be better. That was €50 for not being full

Great Japanese Restaurant! We just weren't completely full, it was quite little and unfortunately quite expensive. But good quality and great if you want to treat yourself!

We spontaneously went to Daikan for lunch yesterday and it tasted great! The two of us ordered: Wakame, Crazy Tuna Roll, Miso Aubergine and Tuna Sashimi. The service could be more attentive in some places, but overall we are satisfied. We were not asked if everything was OK or if we would like to have another coffee or tea. Regarding the ambience, my personal opinion is that large tables for 8-10 people are too big and too private for me. You can't talk in peace and have to listen to the louder neighbor's conversation. It wouldn't be for me/us for a relaxing evening for two, but it would be ok for a quick lunch!

Very impressive ramen! It’s my second time eating here and the shouyu ramen is my go to option. Very rich soup base with chewy noodles and perfectly cooked half boiled egg. The portion could be a little bit small for some people . But I am not a big eater so it was fine for me.

The miso ramen was amazing! A bit small overall, but ok if you add an appetizer. Unfortunately, that's where the challenge begins. The karaage was good, but really expensive at €9.90 for the few pieces of chicken and also too crispy. Even for a small portion of edamame you have to shell out around €6.00. And that's the problem overall, namely the price-performance ratio. You can only pay by card. I would come back, but then only for a ramen without an appetizer.

Daikan was recommended to us for ramen - and we were not disappointed! The miso ramen was really great. Only the second piece of tofu wasn't seasoned, so it was a little tasteless. But the soup absolutely made up for it. She was terrific. But the absolute highlight was the dessert! The chocolate gyoza were heavenly.

The food was good we had two starters, sushi and fried chicken. Unfortunately, the portions are so small that we went out to eat again after the restaurant. The prices are too high for the small portions. The waiter was listless.

We had to wait in line for a really long time - but it was worth it. Super delicious food - especially the ramen and bao buns. Nice atmosphere and delicious cocktails.

I always enjoyed going to Daikan, this was my last visit. The taste is still great, but I find it so outrageous that they increase the prices so much and then minimize the portions. I've been going to Daikan for 5 years and today was really very disappointing, normally everything comes on one plate, but so that it doesn't stand out, they now bring everything separately on individual plates so that the table looks full. And on top of that there was nice tap water, that was really great, we spent €110 and didn't even get full.

So far I have been a big fan of the ramen soups and a regular guest (despite the annoying queues) and have often recommended the shop to others. But after I had a sharp piece of metal in my soup and there wasn't even an excuse for it (only the explanation that the meat grinder had just been changed - ah yes), that was definitely it for me. The service has always been average with a lot of benevolence. That was just underground.

Very tasty and exceptional sushi, nice portion sizes, great service, but relatively expensive. I can't recommend the Pinot Blanc at all and for such a simple wine 9.50 for 0.2 was really over the top. The ambience is more of a high-end snack bar and not really my thing. But I will come back every now and then because the food is really good.

Supa. You can also leave out the pasta when ordering if you have to avoid gluten and then mix in your own pasta. I recommend the bao buns and the eggplant.

Food is really recommended without exception. The only criticisms: 1) The store is always packed, so the seating is very cramped, 2) We sat in front of the door that leads to the toilets, and they can only be reached via an inner courtyard. It's hot, and in winter it gets really draughty. The door was also broken and didn't close automatically. Therefore there are 2 points deducted for ambience, otherwise everything is 5 stars, great!

Mittagsmenü Miso Ramen ca. 21€ inkl. Getränk und 3 Gyoza Gyoza waren sehr lecker, leider das Ramen überhaupt nicht. Miso Paste war nicht verrührt. Ein (1) Balt Pak Choi und ein halbes Ei, gefühlte 10 Maiskörner und irgendwo Hühnchen. Das Ramen war auch nicht sonderlich heiß. Schade, ich hatte mich schon sehr auf den Besuch gefreut, da ich es hier auch schon deutlich besser gegessen hatte. Der Serice war schnell und freundlich. Die Atmosphäre eher drückend. stark beschlagene Scheiben und wenn beide Türen zu den Toiletten aufstehen kann man sich schonmal die Jacke anziehen. Das war heute leider nix.

Das Sushi war leider mit wenig Lachs und Inhalt. Die Soße war ebenfalls düster. Die Ramensuppe war leider ähnlich wie Hähnchensuppe mit fettigen Geschmack und wies keine Besonderheit im Nachgeschmack auf.

Wir haben Volcano Sushi bestellt aber leider konnte selbst die Kellerin den Lachs im Sushi auf dem ersten Blick nicht finden😔

Ich war vor Jahren schon mal dort essen und konnte mich gar nicht an diese Location erinnern. Leider muss ich heute meine Bewertung ändern zum negativen und einen Stern abziehen . Das Essen ist wirklich top und geschmacklich super!!! Bitte macht doch die Wände sauber neben den Tischen. Es ist wirklich unappetitlich und wurde mit Sicherheit nicht nur länger nicht gestrichen sondern auch super lange nicht geputzt. Für die Preise muss man doch nicht so einen starken Dreck an sich haben oder? Der Laden wirkt leider sehr heruntergekommen und auch nicht gemütlich. Wir wollten jedoch trotzdem dort essen, da das Sushi vor Jahren super war. Hinter unserem Tisch der Ausgang zum Hof ist eine Baustelle. Wir bekamen eine Papier-Karte, die total dreckig war mit dicken Flecken und zerknittert. Bei diesen Preisen kann man doch erwarten eine saubere Karte zu erhalten! Eine Kellnerin, die uns das bediente war sehr nett. Jedoch die anderen Kellner, die uns das Essen brachten, waren keine guten Service-Kräfte. Sie haben unsere leeren Teller jedes Mal dort stehen lassen und dann einfach das neue Essen an einen leeren Platz gestellt. Anstatt die dreckigen Teller mitzunehmen und uns den Teller vor uns zu stellen. Waren sehr verwundert und vor allem warum unsere 3 Gerichte alle unterschiedlich kamen. Immer nach langer Wartezeit und wir haben uns dann die Gerichte geteilt, da dies alles Hauptspeisen waren. Die Garnelen-Sushis waren echt ein Traum. Jedoch einfach zu teuer! Der Burger kann nicht empfohlen werden. Kein geschmacklicher Wahnsinn für die mini Größe und dann der Preis. Danach hatten wir frittiertes Sushi und das war ok, aber für den Preis nicht empfehlenswert! Leider kann ich das Restaurant nicht mehr empfehlen, da drinnen das Ambiente einfach nicht schön ist für einen gemütlichen Abend! Es muss dringend renoviert werden. Für die Preise wünscht man sich einen besseren Service, außergewöhnlicheres Essen, eine anständige und vor allem saubere Karte und nicht 2 cm dicke Flecken mehrfach verteilt über die Karte. Das Sushi mit den Garnelen würde ich wirklich empfehlen!

Nehmen keine Reservierungen an. Wir müssten uns anmelden und es hieß 45 Minuten Wartezeit für 6 Personen. Nach 1½ Stunden bei 3 Grad und Regen sind wir dann gegangen. Personengruppen die nach uns gekommen sind wurden vor uns aufgerufen, als ein 6er Tisch frei wurde, wurde eine Personengruppe von 4 Leuten aufgerufen und an den 6er Platz gesetzt obwohl wir schon länger am warten waren. Wir wurden zwei Mal gefragt wie viele Leute wir sind und nichts ist passiert. Eine Mitarbeiterin wollte drinnen nachfragen ob wir bald dran kommen und sie kam nicht mehr wieder raus. Nicht zu empfehlen!!

Sehr ungeeignet für Gruppen. Man wird lange vor der Tür vertröstet, ursprünglich mit der Aussage 45 min und selbst nach 1 1/2 Stunden Wartezeit bekommt man keine Infos oder auch nur ein einfaches "Sorry, sieht schlecht aus". Eine Angestellte ging rein und wollte gucken, kam aber nie wieder.
