Unfortunately, the food wasn't worth the money, the service was totally chaotic and inefficient. Waiters are running around everywhere and you still wait 20 minutes to take your order. The furnishings and atmosphere are great, but the music is way too loud and the chairs are too deep and uncomfortable. All in all not worth the price

Great food, delicious drinks and Karim served us really, very, very well throughout the evening and made our evening a real highlight in THE ASH. Even if it was a little louder, I would come back at any time.

If you only go to one restaurant in Düsseldorf, make sure it's the Ash! The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and attentive and the steaks are outstanding. Can be difficult to book during Medica week but totally worth it. The staff speak German and English so very inclusive. It's not the cheapest restaurant but you won't be sorry you went. Would whole-heartedly recommend!

I never thought I would go to a steakhouse again, but the vegan 300g “steak” was absolutely amazing 🤯 the service and drinks are really great too!

I had a rump steak of 250g - it was medium, my wife had one of 200g - it should also be medium, it was probably grilled very briefly, not even medium and also not warm. Side dishes few and quite expensive. Not worth repeating for me...

We have 4 persons dining and order a bottle of wine.The atmosphere of the restaurant is great, the service and food is mediocre. The server can be more attentive and the meat is a bit overcooked but it has a good aroma on the meat. Dessert took more than 20mins to serve . The dessert is a compliment for the mixup on the steak which is very commendable to the Manager .

Very nice restaurant. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable and attentive. Quality of the food in the upper range or top. I can't confirm that it's too loud as other reviews say. That's why you're always welcome to park under the bridge.

In my opinion the food wasn't bad but there are much better steak and grill restaurants that's why only 4 stars for the food. Unfortunately, the service was a complete disaster! We were not welcomed well at all by the waiter. He struck our table group as unsympathetic right from the start. He literally threw the menu cards on the table and you had to call him what felt like a hundred times as you walked past until he finally responded. I'm a person who doesn't expect much, but the service from the older gentleman was really an imposition. Of course there were no tips from our group either! But I can't really recommend the restaurant.

Nice ambience. Attentive and nice service from Sakis Burgers and steaks are professionally prepared here and the cuisine is of a high standard. After our second visit it is clear that we will be back.

Our visit to The ASH in Düsseldorf was a disaster, largely thanks to the waiter Daniel. We specifically ordered halal steaks and non-alcoholic drinks. However, my wife was given a drink with alcohol, which is an absolute no-go for us as Muslims. Despite our complaints, Daniel stubbornly maintained that there was no alcohol - which was definitely not the case. However, the shock was the highlight: a truffle burger that the four of us wanted to share was served with pulled pork without us being informed about it. Pork that we would never eat for religious reasons! The waiter apologized briefly and disappeared - no compensation, no goodwill. This is absolutely unacceptable for an upscale restaurant. We demand a proper apology and redress from management.

Unfortunately we had an extremely disappointing experience at this restaurant which was unacceptable to us as Muslims. We visited the restaurant for an important business meeting and clearly communicated to the waiter Daniel that we only wanted halal steaks and non-alcoholic drinks. To our shock, my wife was given a drink that definitely contained alcohol. Since I have years of experience in the catering industry myself, it was immediately clear to me that a mistake had been made here. When we asked, the waiter assured us several times that there was no alcohol in the drink, which was clearly not true. However, the most serious problem arose during the meal: we ordered a truffle burger, which the four of us wanted to share. On the bill we finally noticed that the burger was garnished with pulled pork. This is absolutely unacceptable for us as Muslims. The waiter apologized tersely and explained that he had ordered the topping by mistake. Thus, we have unknowingly consumed pork, which for us is a great violation of our religious beliefs. What particularly disappointed us was the lack of responsiveness from the restaurant and especially from waiter Daniel. No compensation, no accommodation - just a perfunctory apology and that's it. We would have expected much more from a restaurant in this price range. It is completely incomprehensible to us how such serious mistakes can be made in such an upscale restaurant that are met with no goodwill or adequate apology. We demand serious redress from management for these unacceptable mistakes. We have the receipt as proof of everything that went wrong.

Unfortunately, The Ash is fading badly. Last time the truffle pasta for 22.90 was rich in mushy and tasteless mushrooms, but completely free of truffle flavors. Yesterday I made the mistake of ordering the Phili Burger menu. For 19.80 there was a burger with around 20g of meat in the shape of two tiny medallions, a small bottle of Soda-Stream water and a small amount of sweet potato fries. From 7 p.m. onwards we didn't see a waiter for almost an hour and I can only describe the noise level as "like in a bar". It's a shame, everything used to be much better.

The shop is always worth a visit. Adelina took perfect care of us and always made sure that we didn't die of thirst.

The food and ambience in the restaurant are really great. The kitchen understands its craft confidently. The atmosphere is really pleasant, like having a campfire with your loved ones. Adelina's great service confirms this. From now on my favorite spot.

Four of us were at The Ash in the evening. The steaks are really great, but unfortunately the service wasn't good at all. We waited forever for drinks and after paying we were said goodbye with a snappy “Ciao”. You felt very thrown out. Well, at least it was delicious

We have been to The ASH several times before, but it was our first time in the Düsseldorf branch. As usual, we were impressed by the stylish ambience and delicious food. Particularly noteworthy is the incredibly friendly staff - everyone was very attentive and accommodating. There was a special surprise for my wife, who received the cheesecake with vanilla ice cream and even a cake fountain as a gift from the house on her birthday - a really nice moment! The vegan steak we ordered was excellent as always, and the value for money is absolutely reasonable for the quality and service on offer. We are looking forward to going back to Düsseldorf soon and spending another great evening here.

Wir haben jetzt an 2 Wochenenden das Lokal besucht. Vorab: Das Ambiente ist sehr gelungen. Essenstechnisch sind die Tapasgerichte unbedingt zu empfehlen. Bei den Fleischgerichten wird der Geschmack vieler getroffen, man sollte aber auch die Preisgestalltung mal überprüfen. Eine selbstgesprudelte Flasche Wasser für 8 Euro! anzubieten ist schon stark übertrieben. Hinsichtlich unseres gestrigen Aufenthaltes: Obwohl nicht gerade gut besucht mussten Speisen reklamiert werden. Fleisch zu kalt serviert ( änderte sich nach Reklamation nur unwesentlich). Bestellungen wurden falsch ausgeführt und serviert. Als dieses bei der Rechnung dann festgestellt wurde war von Akzeptanz nicht viel zu spüren. Auch wenn Speisen erneut angerichtet und serviert werden müssen ist der Partner mit seinem Essen schon fertig. Darauf geht man aber nicht ein. Kundenservice sieht anders aus. Es bringt auch nichts, dem Gast zu sagen, falls es "nicht geschmeckt hat können wir Ihnen noch etwas anderes servieren?". der Ansatz ist hier glaube ich nicht richtig. Aber wie gesagt: Das ist meine bzw. unsere Meinung als Gäste.

Ein Besuch im Ash ist immer zu empfehlen! Wir waren bereits mehrfach da und wurden noch nie enttäuscht. In diesem Restaurant stimmt alles von Service, Essen bis hin zu den Toiletten.

We had our best experience ever. The staff was super friendly, helpful and professional! The food and the cocktails were amazing. Definitely we will come back for more! The prices are a little bit spicy but i find that ok, when i’m thinking how we’ve been served and how was the quality of the food. So if your trying to have a romantic date or want to impress someone, this is the place but be financially prepared.

All in all a successful evening. The food was delicious, but generally a bit too expensive for what you get. The service was very attentive, the atmosphere was nice. What I didn't like is that a bottle of water (“Purezza”) costs €7.90 and it is tap water that is carbonated. It's a bit cheeky to charge 6/7€+ for the types of mineral water that are usually offered, but for water a la Soda Club/Stream it's a bit of a cheek! A new trend to make margin.

A very nice restaurant. It was very busy on Saturday, so it's best to reserve a place in advance. The service staff were all very nice! The kitchen is located right in the middle of the restaurant. However, with the number of guests it was very loud and you could hardly hear the person sitting next to you in front. The food was very tasty, I had a double cheeseburger. The prices are a little higher here, but the taste is very good! I was definitely full! Parking is rather difficult here. There are hardly any free parking spaces as you can only park on the street.

Unfortunately I didn't like the food. Had the Redefined Flank Steak (plant based) because I just wanted to try it out. Found it very disappointing, it was extremely fibrous so it was hard to cut, you had to rather “pick it apart”. The service was good.

The food tastes good, service is good, the ambience was more pleasant, especially at the entrance, currently it seems like a canteen, much too narrow. The portions are extremely tight! 35€ for a dish and my husband wasn't even full. And in our opinion the portions have become smaller. I brought it up and we were told that nothing had changed. We're not coming anymore. That is disproportionate.

Wir haben uns viel von dem Restaurant versprochen wurden aber sehr entäusscht, für die Steak Qualität und das, das Steak total trocken war das man es kaum kauen konnte, ja ich mag mein Steak komplett durch aber egal wo wir Steak gegessen haben es war durch aber nie trocken, es gibt auch nur dieses Steak und eine Beilage, alles kleine Portionen, die paar Pommes die man bekommen hat ! Wir fanden es sehr schlecht, das Personal abgehoben man hat keine Freundlichkeit gespürt, oft hat man den Kellner nicht mal verstanden ! Für alles muss man separat bezahlen selbst für die Mayo ! Also für so einen gehoben laden leider keine gute Leistung! Wir können das Restaurant nicht empfehlen spart euch das Geld !

I wanted to see what the Hype was about from the reviews! Host and Waitress was nice. I made a reservation..not sure it was needed, he never asked. Food and Atmosphere does not match. Potatoes were like warm.. butter did not melt. Spinach was ok... Drink was ok... Definitely tries to give up scale...the decor does it. But I've been .....next.

I can't recommend the price/performance ratio is absolutely bad. There are things that turned out well but 90% were really not good, you know better restaurants, well probably a matter of taste 😂

Felt like it was the hundredth time at the ASH and it was sensational again. Many thanks to the waiters Gianni and Sakis, and of course also to the lovely boss of the house, Ramona. Anyone who hasn't been to the ASH has missed something in their life.

The food was delicious and the service from Jason, Sakis, Jasmin, Marcel and of course Carsten was excellent!

Our visit to this restaurant was disappointing. In addition to the hidden costs and attempts to sell us overpriced extras like bottled water, we were also charged for bread, which is usually included in upscale restaurants. In addition, even small side dishes such as ketchup and truffle mayonnaise were charged extra. The burgers we ordered were of the quality of an average burger joint and not up to par with that of an upscale steakhouse. The truffle pasta also left a lot to be desired - it was more reminiscent of a simple pizzeria than an exclusive restaurant. To make matters worse, we found hair in two out of eight portions of fries. Replacing the fries took forever, so our steak got cold and we could no longer enjoy the fries with the warm steak. Overall, the visit was disappointing and in no way met our expectations of a fine dining restaurant. We will not recommend this restaurant.

Unfortunately, I find the food - apart from the steak prices - very overpriced. However, even if you order the steak medium rare, you should be prepared for a tough, almost well-done steak. I find that incomprehensible considering the prices, I expect professionalism! The waiters are actually very nice, what I didn't like is that they ask you very quickly about this and that and you quickly lose track of what's included. It's not worth another visit.

Hallo, die Abzocke als wir zum Tisch gebracht wurden war unglaublich. Wir konnten noch nicht Platz nehmen, da wurden wir nach Wasser mit oder ohne Sprudel gefragt. Wir hatten noch keine Getränkekarte und uns wurde kein Hinweis gegeben wie viel das Wasser kostet. Wir hatten das eher als Service gesehen. Da wir jedoch 7 € für das Kranwasser bezahlen mussten, war es eine reine ABZOCKE!!! Für eine kleine Pommes 5,50 € aufzurufen war ebenfalls überteuert!!! Das Essen war wie immer gut! Wir waren schon häufiger bei The Ash und waren immer zufrieden. Der Besuch in Düsseldorf hat uns abgeschreckt und wir werden nicht mehr wieder kommen!!!

The food was very good and there was a lot of choice on the menu with something for everyone. The service from Sakis and Jason was outstanding and very attentive. A nice location for a cozy drink or meal. 10/10
