I wanted to see what the Hype was about from the reviews! Host and Waitress was nice. I made a reservation..not sure it was needed, he never asked. Food and Atmosphere does not match. Potatoes were like warm.. butter did not melt. Spinach was ok... Drink was ok... Definitely tries to give up scale...the decor does it. But I've been .....next.

I can't recommend the price/performance ratio is absolutely bad. There are things that turned out well but 90% were really not good, you know better restaurants, well probably a matter of taste 😂

Felt like it was the hundredth time at the ASH and it was sensational again. Many thanks to the waiters Gianni and Sakis, and of course also to the lovely boss of the house, Ramona. Anyone who hasn't been to the ASH has missed something in their life.

Our visit to this restaurant was disappointing. In addition to the hidden costs and attempts to sell us overpriced extras like bottled water, we were also charged for bread, which is usually included in upscale restaurants. In addition, even small side dishes such as ketchup and truffle mayonnaise were charged extra. The burgers we ordered were of the quality of an average burger joint and not up to par with that of an upscale steakhouse. The truffle pasta also left a lot to be desired - it was more reminiscent of a simple pizzeria than an exclusive restaurant. To make matters worse, we found hair in two out of eight portions of fries. Replacing the fries took forever, so our steak got cold and we could no longer enjoy the fries with the warm steak. Overall, the visit was disappointing and in no way met our expectations of a fine dining restaurant. We will not recommend this restaurant.

Unfortunately, I find the food - apart from the steak prices - very overpriced. However, even if you order the steak medium rare, you should be prepared for a tough, almost well-done steak. I find that incomprehensible considering the prices, I expect professionalism! The waiters are actually very nice, what I didn't like is that they ask you very quickly about this and that and you quickly lose track of what's included. It's not worth another visit.

Very nice restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere, great service and delicious food. Particularly interesting for steak lovers, but people who want to eat something different will also get their money's worth. A steakhouse that makes me happy every time I come. The truffle pasta is really delicious and the steaks are all of good quality. There aren't many places to eat steak in Dussel, but this place always comes to mind first when I think of steak. Tolles Essen und gute Atmosphäre. Sakis ist ein toller Kellner und arbeitet sehr gründlich. Alle Fleisch haben gute Qualität.

Unfortunately it's not what it used to be... my husband ordered rosemary potatoes and fried vegetables with his steak. The vegetables were forgotten and the potatoes were as counted (5 small halves). My favorite dessert, the lava cake, was also a disappointment... also mini... The best thing was the service! Marcel was really great!!

Great terrace in the summer. We visited 4 times in one week and found the food consistently good and the staff very friendly and accommodating. The lunch time menu is particularly good value. Neither of us speak German but of course the staff speak perfect English. Fantastic restaurant and we will return upon our next visit x

I highly recommend The ASH! The pulled beef burger was excellent, as were the sweet potato fries with truffle mayo and the delicious tapas starters. The selection of special cocktails was also great! Particularly noteworthy is the first-class service. The staff was extremely attentive, very friendly and gave us excellent advice. From start to finish we felt well looked after and comfortable. Overall it was a completely successful experience. I can only recommend The ASH to everyone and am already looking forward to the next visit! :)

Mixed experience. Upscale ambience. Unfortunately it doesn't last when you eat. I don't expect a medium steak that is definitely well done at this price. In a steakhouse, the steak should be perfect. When I order pepper sauce, I don't expect gravy. Complaining was difficult because the waitress only came to clear it after the food was delivered and was otherwise very busy with the other tables. Side dishes were okay, but the pricing was very clear. It was an experience that I don't have to do again.

The food could be good, but the quality seems to depend on the day. The first time it was brilliant, after that it was mediocre. Last night it was really bad. The smashed burger wasn't smashed!!! And it hardly tasted good. The meat was steamed rather than seared. The meat was seasoned 0.00!!! There wasn't even a pinch of salt on it. An Aperol Spritz for €10 should also taste good. Since mine was watery, I complained and said that a spritz of Aperol would be enough. Instead, it was thrown away and I was given a new one using the same recipe. Since it tasted the same, I complained again. The service person didn't want to solve it and argued with me. It would be just as true and I would have no idea. He didn't want to understand my attempt to explain to him that they were using too much water. They have to work harder for the prices. Since there are too high fluctuations, I am no longer willing to bear these overpriced prices. Otherwise the store is really nicely decorated.

We enjoyed our dinner so much that we headed back for Sunday brunch during our weekend trip to Düsseldorf!

Wait time too long. We waited for a full hour before something to eat appeared on our table. Got late for our next appointment. :-( The service is very pleasant and prompt but the kitchen is too slow.

We were at the Düsseldorf location for the first time this evening. We were warmly welcomed and surrounded by a great atmosphere. The food is of excellent quality. The service was extremely friendly and accommodating. We thank everyone. It was a great discovery. We would like to come again.

Der Service war ein wenig überfordert. Wir haben 35 Minuten auf unsere Getränke gewartet ehe wir überhaupt Essen bestellen konnten. Nach der Bestellung von Vorspeise und Hauptgang haben wir 40 Minuten auf die Vorspeise gewartet und weitere 40 Minuten auf den Hauptgang. Das Essen war sehr sehr lecker! Im gesamten waren wir zufrieden mit dem Besuch und kommen gerne wieder.

Oh no, that was nothing. The food is overpriced - starter plate for 2 people EUR 32.00, which would have been EUR 19.90 for 1 person in other restaurants. Meat ok, side dishes poor. In addition, inattentive service, water orders were forgotten twice, we had to make ourselves known from the terrace to be able to order. I'll go somewhere else next time.

The restaurant offers a good vegan selection and has a cozy terrace. We were here in a larger group, with me as the only vegan. The menu offers something for everyone. Even though the prices are sometimes quite high. I had the Plant Based Tuna Tartar which was delicious. However, I somehow expected more for 20 euros. I later found out that the dish is probably considered an appetizer... but it costs twice as much as meat-based appetizers. The only vegan dessert is a small fruit salad. Because we were there in a group of 10 people, we waited a good three quarters of an hour for the food. But it was nice to sit on the terrace. The service was friendly, but here and there side dishes or drinks were forgotten, which were then quickly delivered.

Trotz intensiver Bestuhlung war es am Dienstag Abend ruhig und es war möglich entspannt zu tafeln und sich zu unterhalten. Erscheinungsbild vom Gastraum bis zur Toilette 1a. Service freundlich, aufmerksam und kompetent. Die Speisen absolut auf den Punkt und lecker. Komme sicher wieder

Tisch reserviert, pünktlich gewesen und erst 1 Stunde später das Essen erhalten. Das Essen war, wie gewohnt, sehr lecker. Wenn man Lunch Menu anbietet, dann muss es schneller gehen. Auch stimmte die Rechnung nicht bzgl. Preis vom Mittagsmenu. Begründung war: Kellner und Köche zu spät gekommen, Tablet noch nicht synchronisiert... Fazit: wir kommen nicht mehr am Mittag, wenn unsere (Frei)Zeit begrenzt ist :-(

Am Anfang der Bewertung möchte ich etwas zum Bierpreis sagen. Für ein Schlösser Alt 0,2l einen Preis von 4,50€ zu nehmen finde ich schon dreist. Kommen wir zum Essen. Das positive vorweg, 2 von 3 Essen waren gut. Das Rumpsteak wurde von der Qualität(zäh) her bemängelt. Die Bedienung sagte, dass sie es weitergeben wird. Von anderen Gastronomie Betrieben, die weitaus nicht den Anspruch wie The Ash hat, kenne ich es, dass zumindest als Entschuldigung einen Espresso oder sonst etwas angeboten wird. Das macht sich gut, kostet fast nichts und als Gast geht man mit einem positiven Gefühl. So bleibt ein fader „ Beigeschmack“ und ich weiß nicht, welchen Grund es geben sollte zu den Preisen The Ash noch einmal zu beehren.

Yesterday the four of us had dinner here. After we didn't want to give a tip, the lady with the short (blonde hair) insulted us and insulted us. She let all the guests know and hear this throughout the restaurant, probably so that everyone would tip. That was really bad, she claimed that we had to tip and that it was customary here. But: Firstly, no guest is obliged to do this and secondly, it is not legally stipulated how high the amount must be. We were extremely happy that we decided to do it and the lady's reaction made it clear that we had done everything right. We and all our friends will not visit this restaurant again.

Once and never again. Since our favorite steakhouse (The Grill upper Kö) was closed, we wanted to give ASH a chance, knowing full well that it is a chain. Rarely have I experienced such an impersonal atmosphere, unfriendly, lecturing older waiter (he would be better off in an old town brewery), very loud, barking dogs at several tables, and a noise level like in a crowded market hall. The meat was good, but in no way worth the price, for the same money there are far better alternatives with really better service in Düsseldorf, in my opinion chain restaurants without any statement. Very clear conclusion from us: see opening sentence. Another request to the operator, please do not post the usual answer that always has the same content.....

What can I say. We have already been to several of the chain's restaurants. Oberhausen, Essen, Cologne, Bochum and Dortmund. This was by far the worst visit. We had ordered a table and that worked out. But that was the positive thing. There was a new menu and the prices were increased. Unfortunately, some favorite dishes have also been removed or changed. I found an appetizer platter for over €30 to be quite steep. Before you could put these together yourself, now you have to take what you get. Since my wife doesn't like fish, we left it alone. In my opinion, there were very few staff on site when I compare it with the other visits. Drinks only received after a considerable waiting time. Food waiting time over 1 hour. Since the price level is premium, the whole thing doesn't meet my expectations. As I said, I'm used to better service from other branches. It's nice that you have influence over the tip. There was 0 €. Based on the operator's comment. I provided you with my phone number on June 4th, 2024. Unfortunately there was no call or email until June 11th, 2024. Prompt feedback works differently.

Went to the restaurant at lunchtime. The restaurant is elegantly furnished and appears inviting and dignified. Particularly noteworthy is the “kitchen in the middle”. Separated by a glass pane for hygiene reasons, it is possible to see into the kitchen. The service is friendly and quick. I had a cheeseburger meal. At lunchtime this costs just over 16 euros and includes the burger, fries or a side dish of your choice, a dip and a soft drink of your choice. Definitely inexpensive. The mayo is homemade, the fries are not off the shelf and the burger is characterized by what I think is an excellent burger bun and a first-class sauce. The other participants at the meeting were also impressed by the food, but my statements would be speculative. In summary, we can definitely recommend this store. If you want a more upscale atmosphere (important: doesn't necessarily mean forced) and like steak or burgers, you should give the shop a chance.

I was there yesterday and I wasn't impressed or liked it. The best part was the food as it came complete and without any memories. In other words, that was the only thing that worked with the service. For the price range I would have expected more friendliness, more reliability and simply better service. Instead, we waited a long time until the order was even taken and with every order we had to ask where it was (even for drinks after 15 minutes) or why half of it was missing. Since service is very important to me, I cannot recommend it here. There was no apology either, which came across as arrogant to me.

1 hour 5 min to get 3 burgers and a salmon… plus they forgot our tapas. Beyond this, all in all food was mediocre, not bad, but a bit overpriced.

Aufmerksames, fachlich sehr gutes Personal,aber zu keiner Zeit aufdringlich. Die Speisen, wie gewohnt, perfekt zubereitet. Die Wartezeit war absolut angemessen. Nur die Parksituation war an diesem Abend etwas herausfordernd.

Viel zu überbewertet und überteuert. Essen hat lange auf sich warten lassen und dann kalt. Auf die Beschwerde wurde kulant reagiert und die Getränke nicht berechnet. Auf den Nachtisch warten wir immer noch…für mich ein klassischer Messeschuppen der dem internationalem Publikum „Upper-Class“ suggerieren möchte, Das geht besser @TheAshTeam.

The ambience is nicer than the restaurant in Cologne. As always, the food was very good. The steak was grilled perfectly. Our waitress Adelina was super friendly and accommodating. You can tell that she enjoys her job. Definitely worth a visit.

I can only recommend this restaurant! The service is totally attentive and very accommodating. The food is great and the selection for vegans is quite large. However, I would still like a vegan cheese for the burger, then everything would be perfect. I can recommend the vegan tacos, but they are a bit too spicy. (Would order less spicy) The vegan flank steak is a bit expensive, but tastes really great! As a drink, the non-alcoholic and alcoholic Hugo were very tasty.
