The service is very friendly and the ambience is also ok. Unfortunately the food was a disappointment - tasteless, duck breast dry, no herbs/spices on it - all in all a disappointment.

We were there for the second time and had a great meal again. Everything is fresh, the selection is good, very authentic and delicious. Unfortunately, it's always a little louder when the restaurant is full, and that's usually the case. When you sit in the entrance area, there is always a cool wind blowing in from the vestibule as people go into the restaurant to pick up their orders. Otherwise everything was fine and I'd be happy to do it again.

Very tasty food and very friendly service!

The food was really tasty. I had breaded chicken with rice and creamy curry sauce, everything fresh and very tasty. The portion was generous and beautifully presented. The seating outside is comfortable and invites you to linger. The service was friendly and attentive. One of my favorite Vietnamese – I would love to come back.

Ordering was quick - unfortunately there was a long wait for 6 people, other guests came after us and were served. The tofu was not well done, so these pieces were left alone. The service was friendly - but brought the drinks incorrectly - communication failed. Only for transit - I wouldn't come as a guest anymore. It's a shame.

Nice Asian restaurant, delicious as expected

I'm amazed by how they've got these many good reviews having such bad service! We had a pathetic experience yesterday. The waitress was in no mood to serve us. The restaurant itself was pretty much empty but yet she mistook our order, served us a soup with shrimps 🍤 while we made it very clear that we are vegetarians. I understand that mistakes can happen, but the worst part is.. she didn't even apologize for such a blunderous mistake!!! Her reaction was "oh ok, ill bring another one with a poker face!!". It felt as if she was the victim. It was soo frustrating to even face her. The rest of the dishes she brought had no heart or soul in it!! We left everything as it is and left the restaurant. Hopeless and worst food and service!!! Never recommending it to anyone, especially if you're a vegetarian.

I recently went to the Thăng Long restaurant in Echterdingen and was really impressed. The food was authentic, freshly prepared and full of flavor - exactly how you want Vietnamese cuisine to be. I can particularly recommend the sushi – simply delicious!

The food was absolutely fantastic! Authentic Vietnamese cuisine with fresh ingredients and incredibly aromatic spices. The Pho is particularly recommended – a real taste explosion! The service was super friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere in the restaurant was cozy and inviting. You can tell that the cooking here is done with a lot of love. I'll definitely be back!

Somewhat dark location (in the basement). But the best is made of it. The service and food fantastic. Have been there many times and would love to go again. Always delicious. It's worth trying something out ;)

I'm thrilled. Totally inconspicuous from the outside, but as soon as you enter the restaurant you feel like you have arrived in another world. Very stylishly furnished. A highlight is the aquarium. The service is very friendly and attentive. The food is a delight. My sushi was one of the best sushi I have ever eaten. My main course was also a 10/10. Very fair priced. We'll definitely come again. Oh yes, it was very busy so it's best to make a reservation.

My absolute favorite restaurant for years! Whether I eat in, pick up, or have it delivered, it's always a 12 out of 10! My all-time favorite is the 50 Cari with breaded chicken.

Good Vietnamese sushi place. Food was great. The ambience is so elegantly designed that you don't even notice that you're sitting in a basement. Well attended, but still nice to sit there because they have compartmentalized everything like that. We will visit the restaurant again soon and see if the service is a little quicker when there is less going on.

This is a nice place and it had pretty good sushi - lots of the rolls had cream cheese, which we don’t like but it’s really common in Europe. The gyoza was really good and presentation was excellent!

The restaurant is very nicely and comfortably furnished. Particularly noteworthy is the round aquarium in the wall, which also serves as an indirect light source and provides even more coziness. There are traditional Vietnamese starters and main courses, as well as a variety of sushi options. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Towards the end of our visit, the restaurant was at full capacity, which is probably why the waiter didn't come to us very often, but in this case I didn't think that was a big deal. All in all we liked it. Gladly again ☺️

Sushi very bad and not fresh at all, the first time the salmon was very hard and you could tell straight away from the taste it wasn't fresh, the second time I had diarrhea 3 times straight the evening after, sorry but that was a failure! It's better to order hot food instead of not fresh fish! My tip

The restaurant is located in the “basement” and is therefore incredibly cozy. I haven't eaten such fresh, crunchy vegetables in a long time. It tastes much better than in “normal” Asian restaurants.

Were here for the first time on December 7th, 2024. We (7 people) ate everything possible and were thrilled. Service, food and the ambience are TOP. Definitely happy to come back. Thank you for a very nice evening!

It's okay to make mistakes, what's more interesting is what restaurant owners do with constructive feedback. The receptionist wanted to sit us down with a very friendly-looking lady, but we wanted our own table so that we could talk about private matters. The restaurant is so full that this wasn't even possible at your own table. Our tablecloth was dirty and cobwebs and stamens decorated the room. The menu is rich but explanations and ingredients are missing. So it happened that we both had things in our main courses that we didn't want to eat. (Mushrooms are not vegetables; they should be listed separately.) The waiter suddenly stood at our table, had his pad and pen in his hand and just looked at us with a motionless face. No "Hello", no "May I take your order?", no "Thank you", nothing. You don't always have to smile, but this wordless existence was very unpleasant. We had to wait an extremely long time for our food. Cutlery was missing. Our tea bag was brewed for the second time. I'm sure. I asked the waiter that I would like to thank him for the food he brought, but his behavior is so incredibly rude that I don't want him to continue serving us. He left without a word. A new waitress took over, she was very friendly and I told her our experience with the gentleman. She apologized and handled the situation really well. Later she told us that she is the owner and that she sent the gentleman home. He really has a lot going on privately at the moment. She also apologized for the waiting time, the kitchen was understaffed due to illness. And that's exactly why the restaurant gets four stars from me. Without the interaction with this lady I would have given one star. Maybe two because the food tastes really good. I wanted to clarify my concerns in the restaurant because I would want it to be that way if I had a restaurant myself. And it was totally worth it. We will give the restaurant another chance.

The dish was good, good flavors. On the other hand, the sushi, honestly, no added value (at the same time, a Vietnamese restaurant that makes sushi, you had to suspect that). Pleasant and fast service.

Have been regulars here for a long time. The food tastes absolutely delicious, no matter what you eat. The staff is very friendly and you never have to wait long for your order. The best thing this restaurant has to offer is the sushi and the duck, each of which comes in very different variations. The noodles are also always a real poem. You should definitely try the chicken curry there. As a drink, I really enjoy homemade ginger tea with my meal. The atmosphere in the restaurant is beautiful, you feel like you are at home. Price-performance absolutely first class. We'll definitely be back very soon.

Four of us had dinner. Reception was friendly. It took a while to order. The drinks tasted a bit stale. But we were there to eat and it tasted really good. The prices are completely okay. What everyone thought was a shame that we weren't asked if we would like something more to drink the whole evening. Nobody came to the table anymore. Then you don't really feel welcome.

Food tasted very good, with a fair price ratio. Service was okay, but not outstanding. After 8 p.m. it was very easy to find a table and they were also flexible when it came to table configuration. Even as a large group, the food came at the same time, which made us very happy.

Today we got sweet and sour duck. Unfortunately the sauce was inedible. Very sour, very watery. Zero taste. Up until now everything has always been ok. Hope that was a blip.

We had sushi. I found this very good, well rolled and the size was also okay. Breaded chicken with rice without sauce was made for our son. That was very nice. There was also Vietnamese coffee, which I really enjoyed. The service was friendly and attentive.

The food was very good. You couldn't taste glutamate (and I always recognize glutamate). The aroma of the food was very, very good and dishes from the lunch menu are very worthwhile. Unfortunately I can no longer recommend Thang Long in Echterdingen. We ordered food to pick up and were very, very disappointed. The quality is good, but the prices are completely exorbitant and the portions are smaller than after the Corona pandemic - and that's saying something! The price-performance ratio is simply no longer right. Everything was overly spicy, even the mango salad, which was a mini portion. It seems as if a few lettuce leaves for decoration are trying to make the small portions appear larger. As long-time regular guests, we are really absolutely disappointed. Prices have been greatly increased while portions have shrunk even more. This is simply not acceptable. We definitely won't be coming back.

Delicious food but unfortunately only 4 stars because we waited a long time for drinks and in my opinion that should always be a top priority. Otherwise everything is good!
