Today I was ordering three dishes as take-out. Som tam, red curry with duck and pad kra pau gai ( chicken) So first of all My mom called ahead and ordered in Thai. To make sure the cook knows I like it authentic. I was so disappointed when I got home to discover grapes in my curry.. who the hell puts grapes in a red curry. The Thai papaya salad ( som tam) was just salty no depths in flavor. Pad kra pau gai she didn’t even minced the chicken like how it supposed to be. It seems like she just throw ingredients in there, that are leftover in her fridge. If you want to serve foreigners this wanna be Thai food -okay I guess- but for someone from Thailand, that’s just disrespectful.. on top of that I pay 43 euro for all three of the dishes. Mind you the lady could be my grandma so she definitely knows that what she is cooking is not Thai.. such a disappointment!!!!

Also die Bewertung fällt mir nicht gerade leicht.... Das Essen an sich war qualitativ okay. Allerdings sehr deutsch angepasst und auch überteuert. 3 Pesonen plus 1 Kind 120 €. Trotz das komplett auf Thai bestellt wurde und zudem auch noch betont wurde man solle alles wie in Thailand bitte kochen, waren die Gerichte kaum zu identifizieren. Phad Krapao absolut unscharf ohne Krapao und Chili, dafür mit Sojasprossen und Paprika?

Das Essen ist super lecker und die Besitzer sehr net! Ein gemütliches Restaurant das ich auf jeden Fall wieder besuchen werde. Es ist auch schön das die Kinder vor dem Restaurant spielen können ohne großen Verkehr in der Mühlstr. Ich kann es nur weiterempfehlen und freue mich wieder dort zu essen.

Das Essen war prima auch wenn die Räumlichkeiten es auf den ersten Blick nicht vermuten lassen

Ever since moving back to Germany. We are always looking for food that we crave for in America. In a new country and new region we wanted to eat Thai food. We have tried a few places and they were not that great. At last, we finally found this restaurant. Thairama's food taste delicious! The taste of the food reminds me of our time when we visited Thailand. The owners are Thai and the restaurant is beautifully decorated. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Sehr freundliche und zuvorkommende Bedienung. Das Essen war super lecker (ob eingedeutscht oder nicht, kann ich leider nicht sagen. Ich habe da leider keine Erfahrung. Aber es war sehr gut!) und auch erschwinglich für zwei Studenten :D

Es war sehr lecker und sehr gemütlich dort, die Bedienung war super freundlich, wahrscheinlich ein kleines aber sehr feines Familiengeführtes Restaurant mit großen Portionen zu fairen Preisen. Ich kann es nur empfehlen, auch wenn es von außen erst mal abschreckt, dafür schmeckt es umso besser!

Immer noch mein Lieblings-Thailänder, auch in Corona Zeiten. Gutes Hygiene Konzept, hier muss man keine Angst haben da es ja auch nie richtig gut besetzt ist, was ich nicht verstehen kann, liegt wohl an der etwas veralteten Einrichtung, aber der Inhaber und Koch ist ja auch schon älter.

This is a place you can call home. After three years the owner still remembered my friend and I, in addition our order . This place will be in forever in my memory. To Thairama and the owners. If you havnt eaten here you are missing out.

Really good Thai! Been to a few here locally and this is one I will come back to over and over. Was really supprised how quiet it was on a Friday. Dont pass this one up, you wont be sorry.

My second time here, and ordered Thai Spring rolls, Shrimp Pad Thai, and Pork fried rice. We ate every thing on the plate, that's how good the food were. We were the only customers in the restaurant, so we had all the staff's attention meaning the food got to us quickly. This may also affected the quality of the food as the cook was not rushed, but based on prior ratings this high quality food is probably normal.

Good if you're looking for some quick Thai in Germany. Nothing crazy but my boyfriend and I thought it was delicious and satisfied our cravings.

Wir waren an einem Samstag Abend die einzigen Gäste. Wir hatten das Gutscheinbuch und da wir die asiatische Küche mögen, wagten wir einen Versuch. Positiv: Man hat absolut seine Ruhe und kann sich gut unterhalten, der Service war sehr freundlich und schnell. Unsere Vorspeise schien selbstgemacht und schmeckte gut. Negativ: Bereits von außen sieht das Restaurant nicht besonders einladend aus. Auch von innen überzeugt es nicht gerade. Es erinnerte mich an das Wohnzimmer meiner Großmutter. Es scheint als wäre die Zeit stehen geblieben. Es riecht ein wenig muffig/ alt beim Betreten des Lokals. Die Preise sind verhältnismäßig hoch. Unsere Hauptspeise (rotes Hähnchencurry) ist nicht schlecht, aber geschmacklich nicht der Hit. Es ist sehr dünnflüssig und der Hauptbestandteil sind Bambusschoten. Zu allem Elend ist ein Haar im Curry. Fazit: Ich kann nicht so ganz nachvollziehen, weshalb das Restaurant so viele gute Bewertungen hat. Ich war satt (mein Partner nicht :D), aber das wars dann auch. Da wir das Gutscheinbuch hatten, war ein Hauptgericht umsonst. Von daher war es ok. Hätten wir das Essen regulär bezahlen müssen, hätte ich mich wirklich sehr geärgert. Wir werden das Restaurant nicht wieder besuchen.

Being a veteran I make it a point to take in as much foreign cuisine as I can. Thai isn't one of my favorite foods but we decided to give this one a try. It's in my top five favorite resturants in the region. The food is incredible and it is truly a family affair. Stop in and give them a try. You won't be disappointed!

Ich schreibe echt ungern schlechte Bewertungen aber dieses Thai Restaurant ist eine Zumutung. Zwar sind die Kellnerinnen sehr freundlich aber das Essen ist katastrophal und wahnsinnig überteuert. Aufgrund von einigen positiven Bewertungen haben wir uns für das Lokal entschieden. Wir waren um 19 Uhr die einzigen Gäste in diesem Restaurant und das hat sich auch nach 1,5 h nicht geändert. Jetzt wissen wir auch warum. Zur Vorspeise hatte ich Sate Spieße vom Schwein (was für ein Thai Restaurant ja schon unüblich ist - Normal ist ja Hühnchen). Für 7€ bekam ich ganze 3 kleine Spieße und einen super kleinen Gurkensalat. Meine Frau hatte Frühlingsrollen...die waren so .. na ja.... Fertig und frittiert halt Dann kamen die Hauptspeisen: Ein Curry und Rindfleisch mit Holy basil. Die Portionen sind so klein, dass es schon fast unverschämt ist für Preise zwischen 13€-15€. Beide Gerichte bestanden zu 90% aus Bambusstreifen dazu 4-5 Paprikastreifen. Das hat überhaupt nichts mit Thai Essen zu tuen. Im Curry war viel zu wenig bis keine Kokusmilch und nur 7-8 Hühnchen-Stücke genau wie beim Rindfleisch. Es war eine einzige aber teure Enttäuschung. Ganz ehrlich.... Der Laden sollte einfach zu machen...Sorry. Das Thailänder so ein Essen servieren hätte ich niemals für möglich gehalten.

Wir waren mal wieder im Thairama essen und es war sehr sehr gut. Die Thailändische Küche wird hier authentisch gelebt. Durch die Lage ist es leider nicht wirklich voll hier, aber wir kommen wieder.

This place does not deserve the rating that it has on trip advisor. It is a 2.8 at best. The décor is not bad and the place is clean but the food was the worst Thai I have ever had. I love Thai food and red curry is my favorite. I ordered red curry chicken and it was not like any red curry chicken I have ever had. It tasted like Indian food, and I am Indian I even like Indian food but when I order Thai and I want Thai I expect to get what I want. This is hands down the worst, garbage can Thai place I have ever visited in my life. I was so upset I didn't even tip.

I took a friend for lunch who had never been. He was very pleased as I was reintroduced to the reason I love this place. It's friendly and cozy atmosphere will welcome you. The dishes will keep you coming back. I always... always get the duck with spicy curry in coconut milk and rice. The pineapple and veggies cooked in the delicious curry sauce are perfect. You can always ask for extra spicy too and they have no problem fulfilling your wish.

Das Gutscheinbuch führte uns in dieses Restaurant. Es befindet sich in unmittelbarer Nähe des Kaufhauses "K in Lautre". Wir waren an einem Sonntag Nachmittag / frühem Abend die einzigen Gäste. Wir wurden sofort freundlich bedient. Die Kerze am Tisch wurde angezündet und die Speisekarte gebracht. Auf dem Tisch waren aufwendig gefaltete Servietten eingedeckt. Wir bestellten Icetea - das war ein leckerer typischer Thai Icetea, allerdings mit ziemlich vielen Eiswürfeln. Als Hauptspeisen gab es Pad Thai und ein Hühnchencurry. Auf der Speisekarte stand immer der Schärfegrad dabei. Zu dem Curry wurde ich bei der Bestellung nochmal separat gefragt, ob ich scharf essen kann. Das Essen kam zeitnah und wurde ansprechend serviert. Auf einem Stövchen und mit schönem Besteck. Bei Pad Thai zusätzlich mit Essstäbchen. Geschmacklich war das Curry gut. Ich hätte mir aber etwas buntere Einlage gewünscht. Es war sehr viel Bambus, nur vereinzelte Paprikastreifen. Auf den Tisch wurde ein Gewürzträger gebracht. Mit 4 verschiedenen Inhalten. Eins davon mit dem Hinweis, dass dies zum scharf machen sei. Als wir nach der Rechnung fragten, war das Gutscheinbuch schon direkt verrechnet. Die Abwicklung lief also ohne Probleme. Fazit: man kann dort gut ungestört in Ruhe essen, wird freundlich bedient. Das Ambiente ist etwas altmodisch - aber sauber und liebevoll. Die Speisen könnten für Preis/Leistung noch etwas mehr Pfiff bekommen.

The menu is endless, but you don't even need to open it. Number 93, Pad Thai. The curry there is wonderful, but I somehow keep ordering shrimp Pad Thai every time. They also have a Thai beer on the menu called Singha, I highly recommend it. The service is beyond anything else in Kaiserslautern. There's one lady that always seats you and serves your table and she is the absolute best. There is no better Asian restaurant in the area than Thairama.

This Thai food was very fresh and very flavorful. The service was great and size of the restaurant was large enough to accommodate loads of people. There is easy access to public parking in really two nearby lots, but the food is the main reason to come. The prices are reasonable, and they take card.

Spent 2 weeks in a hotel just 100 ft from here. The food was much better than expected. Great quality. Very good service. Eat here and then go across the street to the bakery/cafe and get THE best apple pie you will ever have.

The server were nice, fast and of course the food tasted extremely well. My girlfriend and I had the lunch menu for 7.90€ which included a soup and a rich full portion. We were for a few months ago in Thailand and had to say that for even being so far away from Asia, we felt like being in Thailand while our stay in this restaurant. Amazing!
