The food was delicious, especially the dessert. Everything was perfect – from appetizer to dessert.

They don't accept debit or credit cards. Poor for a restaurant in Munich. I left, so I can't rate the food. I would have liked to stay. It looked nice. Then I went to the sushi place across the street. They do accept credit and debit cards for amounts over €20.

This restaurant is almost the worst one I’ve ever been.The table is not clean.The material is not fresh both the beef in the pho and the salmon.It’s hard to believe that there is fish store just next to the restaurant.Also the waiter is unfriendly cause they never respect us when talking to us.The most important is they never accept a credit card and debit card but they write it in the last page of menu.it’s easily neglected!! Not RECOMMENDED!!

The food tastes average. Nothing special. What's always a must after a meal like this is a discussion with the waiter about how they want to pay for the meal, because the note on the menu that only cash and debit cards are accepted is easily overlooked. I can't recommend this restaurant, even with the best will in the world.

Over the past few days, we've eaten a lot of Asian food around the Viktualienmarkt. We were somehow craving it and were thrilled every time. We wanted to continue this great run today. But unfortunately, we were disappointed. Tegernseer beer – normally an excellent beer – served at room temperature. According to the description, it was from the draft. The food looked very appealing. However, in terms of taste – compared to the other Asian restaurants in the vicinity of the Viktualienmarkt – these dishes couldn't compete: spices and flavors were nowhere to be found. I don't like spicy food, but not even a hint of it... phew... it was kind of boring. We were full, yes, but that was it. I'll definitely give Maggie Sushi Bar another chance sometime. That might take a while, though. Please form your own opinion. It's – as always – purely a matter of personal taste.

The focus of the good reviews is probably the prices, which are undoubtedly good. But the quality of the food leaves much to be desired. The crispy rolls were okay. But the rice bowl had little to do with Vietnamese food. Instead of proper herbs, lime, and fish sauce, there was only iceberg lettuce and cucumber. It also looked more like a teriyaki sauce than a fresh sauce. We wouldn't recommend this restaurant if good food is important to you.

Very cozy place, the spirit of Asian countries. Visiting this place you can feel the atmosphere of street restaurants in China and Japan. The place is clean and there are no unpleasant odors. The cuisine is tasty and considering the location of the place almost in the center of the city it is cheap.

The sushi at Maggi is simply fantastic! Everything was super fresh and incredibly delicious—truly the best sushi I've ever eaten. The selection is fantastic, the quality is top-notch, and the price-performance ratio is absolutely fair. The staff are also very friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back!

We always come here when we're on vacation in Munich. The food is always consistently delicious and reasonably priced. The same chef as a few years ago, always friendly and very attentive, as is the Maggie team.

We came here the first sunday of august. There was no waiting line. We had some sushi and duck with curry and rice. The sushi was good, the duck was really delicious. The food arrived quickly. Very nice small restaurant with fair prices.

Small and crowded. We sat down, didn't get a menu, and had to get it from another table. No one came to order, and we had to let them know after 10 minutes. The employee was very annoyed because we had to interrupt her while she was chatting with another employee. The food was okay; I've had worse but also much better sushi, but what was really a disgrace was the amount of wasabi and ginger; the portions were barely enough for one piece. We won't be back.

You can't get a glass of water, they charge 3 Euros and it's from the tap.

The restaurant is very average. The staff service is bad. The girl with a bad attitude, very slow. We ordered one tempura roll (#90) which was ok ( I would not say is delicious like I will not repeat it) and the Pa Thai is very spicy that it is not enjoyable because of the spice. The Thai curry is very bland, also spicy. A very bad aspect of the restaurant is that you can not pay with credit or debit card which is unbelievable and we had to go a get cash.

It's a bit of a "hole in the wall" but it's good! I've taken many people here for a casual lunch and no one has been disappointed. Considering they offer foods from various Asian "kitchens" (Thai, Japanese etc) they do it all pretty darn well. Nothing fancy here, but a good meal at a decent price that gets to your table rather fast. I recommend their noodle dishes and soups (the sushi is the "ok" you get around much of Munich).

The food is delicious but the service is really pretty bad. All the waiters constantly look unhappy, are unfriendly, look like they all hate their jobs and you have to wait a long time for food without being warned.

We ordered sushi to pick up and I have to say, the quality and the price were right So you can't say anything bad. Maybe we'll try the other things you offer next time we're downtown

I am coming here since 2018 and it has never disappointed! The food is great, the prices are top! One of the best in terms of quality price! Easy going and fast!

It is still the best sushi bar in Munich and my favourite. But I need to say, that inside out rolls with salmon was a kind of disappointment. Here you see classical inside out and the rolls we’ve got. The rest was amazing, we’ve got 5 types of rolls and all of them were great, but such a tiny amount of salmon on one of them is embarrassing.

Sushi was warm and not tasty. The fried rice was OK. Service was not good. They don't accept credit cards that are not German, and this is not communicated in any way! I had to learn this when I was about to pay, and I had to go out and withdraw money, and the staff didn't seem to care about anything you said or they did, they act like they don't understand.

I had a large piece of chicken in my vegetarian meal. Unfortunately, the waitress couldn't (or didn't want to) understand my problem, so I wasn't offered a replacement or a discount.

The food is very tasty and the prices are the same as in all similar establishments. The service sucks, as soon as they gave the menu in their hands, give them an order, we placed an order for food, wanted to see the drinks, they took the menu away. They didn't even ask when the food arrived. Maybe something else? They didn’t bring the bill, we had to go to the cashier ourselves. What I also didn’t like is that usually in such establishments there is a choice of forks or chopsticks, but there were no forks here. If service doesn't matter to you, you can have a delicious meal here.

Employees are overwhelmed with everything and often bring the wrong food.

Catastrophic! Never again! I have never experienced such miserable service! Drinks only came after the meal, even though we asked several times - but apparently guests are simply ignored here. Even worse: orders are forgotten! A dish simply didn't come, despite asking 10 times. And the boss? Zero interest! Instead of apologizing, he just dismissed us arrogantly. To make matters worse, guests who only want take-away drinks are given preferential treatment, while you can wait for hours in the restaurant. An absolute disgrace! Save yourself time, money and stress – go somewhere else!

Maggie Sushi Bar in Munich is a very affordable spot for sushi lovers. It's a small, packed place where you can't make reservations—you just show up and grab a seat if it's available. The prices are low, making it a great value for the quality. The fried sushi is definitely the highlight. Overall, I’d rate it 4 out of 5!

Pure disaster! We made a special reservation and were then consistently ignored. We were then sent back to the back in the full shop and told to wait. The waiter constantly looked at us angrily because we waited right at the edge of the store and not outside when it was 0 degrees. After waiting 20 minutes and continuing to be ignored, other people from outside kept being brought in and seated, even though we had reserved. When we asked the waiter about it, he shouted loudly at us in front of the entire customer. We then left. Why accept reservations if they are not honored. Never again and absolutely no recommendation.

Reservations in the evening will not be honored. You are ignored and other people without reservations are left at the place beforehand. After 20 minutes we left. "We should please wait outside the door. Everyone in front of the door would have a reservation"

…Sushi was pretty OK, I have no idea why the place was so full. Payment with credit card, EC card from Spain does not work! They tried to send me to the ATM in the pouring rain! Luckily I still had some cash in my pocket!

For 4 portions to takeaway they gave just 2pcs of soya sauce and 2pcs of wassabi. Wasn t fresh as it was before. Me and my husband after dineer we had bad stomach. May be the cheff changed. Sorry, but Last experience wasn t good as it was many times before. As it was our favorite sushi place for almost 3 years.

Delicious sushi and a nice variety. The restaurant is small though.

It seemed like instant ramen Tonkotsu Ramen is also..... The broth is not made from scratch, but is made white with powdered soup.... If you want Korean soup, don't expect it.

My wife and I stayed here. The food is delicious, good quantity. 2 main courses + soup + 2 drinks for 40€. We were completely full and satisfied :)

Very narrow, you can hardly get to your seat without accidentally bumping into someone. The food tastes very tasty and is served incredibly quickly. No card payment possible!

Prices are very fair and the sushi is tender and delicious. The atmosphere in the restaurant (especially the Christmas decorations) is very nice and even though it was very full, we got seats quickly.

Very friendly and nice staff, the sushi was very fresh and tasty. The spring rolls were also crispy and the miso soup tasted really good. Our request was responded to immediately and replaced with California Rolls instead of the Maki's in the large set. It's great when the kitchen is so flexible, thank you for that! The only thing is, you don't really sit comfortably. So eat and go ok 👌

Table reserved! When we arrived we found the restaurant completely full and said you had to wait 10 minutes After waiting for 35 minutes, the location was left because there were at least 10 people in front of us who had the same problem!

You reserve a table for a time in advance and if you arrive on time you still have to wait in line for over 30 minutes for your table👎 What do you even offer reservations for????? NO MORE!!!!!

I used to love eating here. Unfortunately the quality has really deteriorated. The service was very friendly but we were here to eat. I have been visiting the Sushi Bar regularly several times a year for 5 years and I will not come here again. The bowl used to be richer and the side dishes were also bigger. Sure, the prices have been adjusted and I don't have a problem with that, but now there's just more rice and less meat and vegetables. I have the feeling that the owners have changed or that they are simply using the great location on the Viktualienmarkt to "catch" tourists who don't come anymore anyway. There were three of us there and we were really disappointed. Too bad!

Although it appears as a Japanese restaurant on Google Maps, it would be more accurate to say it is an Asian restaurant. The people in the kitchen also appear to be of Chinese or Vietnamese descent. In addition to sushi, you can see a lot of rice noodles and stir-fried noodles on the menu. I saw other tables eating pork cutlet or chicken cutlet with rice, but it wasn't Japanese-style pork cutlet. I ordered a soda with lime and apple mint because a lot of locals drink it, but it had a vaguely sweet taste, was weakly carbonated, and wasn't a mojito at all. One of the beers was a bit sour, probably because they didn't give it a good Radler, but it was edible so I just drank it. The food tastes all Koreans know, so when you get tired of German sausage, Haksen, and schnitzel, It's worth stopping by once. We were the only Asians and there were a lot of Westerners eating there. We went a little early and were able to eat without waiting, but even though it was a weekday, there was a wait after 5 o'clock as the place was full. A large sushi set was about 33 euros, noodles were about 15 euros, and beer and drinks were about 5 euros, so the menu in the photo cost a little over 70 euros. They said they only accept cash, so I brought cash to pay, and the portion was so large that three men couldn't eat it all. No matter how many times I asked for a bowl to eat some noodles from, they didn't give it to me, but they brought it to me much later, so I took off one star for service.

Such a wonderful restaurant is truly a rarity! Starting with the beautiful, cozy ambience, which gives you an incredibly good feeling of welcome. Especially because the shop is relatively small, I recommend that everyone call and reserve a table, even at short notice. The selection of food is fabulous and really enough. The prices are totally reasonable, and considering the overall quality of the food, ambience and, above all, the excellent service, they are completely okay. In my opinion, everyone can find something to eat here. There are also a few for vegans Dishes - although the number of dishes needs to be improved ;). (I can highly recommend the vegan dishes with tofu, they are really delicious) In general, I give it 5/5 stars because this store really blew me away, and when I'm in Munich again I'd love to come by again!

The Maggie Sushi Bar at Viktualienmarkt is a wonderful place for sushi lovers! The selection of freshly prepared sushi and other Japanese specialties is impressive and very tasty. The quality of the ingredients is excellent and you can tell that a lot of emphasis is placed on freshness. The only minor criticism is the prices, which are a bit high, especially compared to other sushi restaurants in the area. Nevertheless, it is worth trying the delicious dishes. The ambience is cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxing break. The service was friendly and attentive.
