A nice little restaurant in the heart of Munich. The food is excellent, the staff is very attentive and friendly. We will certainly come back.

The best Kaiserschmarrn we know...

A great lunch at Laurin is the lunch menu. A small but fine menu that is very tasty, filling and absolutely affordable. Since my craving for the food was too great, I can only post before and after pictures of the dessert here. True to the motto, eating food takes precedence over visual appeal, even though both are met here.

I had Laurin’s Schnitzel and Cauliflower soup. Just amazing!!! Super tasty!

It's not often that I give 5 stars to everything, but the Laurin deserves it. This goes from the great staff to the price-performance ratio to the great food in a very tasteful ambience. And that too right on the Viktualienmarkt and therefore in a tourist hotspot. People often like to cash in, but that's definitely not the case here. If you're reading this and want to go to Munich then stop by here, you'll be thrilled too. Greetings to everyone from Laurin who gave a tip in cash 🤩😉.

The food here is always delicious. Unfortunately it gets a bit noisy on weekends, but that's due to the construction and the restaurant can't do anything about it. Everything tastes like in South Tyrol. I can highly recommend the schlutzkrapfen and the dumpling tris, as well as everything from the daily menu. The photo shows char with pumpkin risotto

Well-known restaurant on the Viktualienmarkt, good for a late lunch. Usually there are also a lot of tourists and/or day trippers there. Always well attended and therefore somewhat stressed staff. Boss is always very hard working, I've known him for a long time. Food was okay for the price category. The only thing that is actively disturbing is the unprofessional female service person at the weekend (looks like 17 years of substance abuse) and her personality. You just want to eat in peace with friends and don't need any further discussions and comments about the conversations that take place privately AT THE TABLE.

What a KAISERSCHMARRNNN! The best in Munich by far! Great service we really enjoy the spot and the street ambiance!

The food was good, service too, but overall it didn't blow me away. I would have hoped for a little more from a restaurant right on the Viktualienmarkt, as you also feel slightly underdressed in the restaurant. The guests are dressed upscale, the prices in the restaurant are actually relatively okay. Despite everything, a nice place for an after-work drink.

Simply the best restaurant I've been to in München. Delicious, tasty salad with chicken schnitzels then extraordinary Kaiserschmarrn. Cappuccino and out. Happy !

It was just great!🤩 The food, the staff, the ambience… everything. We had the veal schnitzel, the salad with smoked fish and the Kaiserschmarren. Everything is absolutely delicious. I accidentally spilled my beer and without saying anything it was wiped away and I was offered a new one, everything was totally uncomplicated. Thank you for the great evening!!!🥰

Wonderful atmosphere for leisurely lunch near the Viktualienmarkt. Delicious Tyrollean Trio of dumplings accompanied by Gruner-Veltliner wine while sitting in a shaded courtyard. Attentive service. Very enjoyable!

Die Qualität hat sehr stark nachgelassen. Wir können das Laurin nicht mehr empfehlen. Das Mittagsgericht war versalzen und hatte zu viel Pfeffer. Das Chicken war mindere Qualität, das Risotto erbärmlich, nur ein "Schlag" Reis. Auf die Beschwerde hin sagte die Bedienung pikiert, dass alles ok sei ... Schade, früher war das Laurin gut und von uns gerne besucht, nach dieser katastrophalen Erfahrung werden wir dort sicherlich nicht mehr hingehen.

Wow wow wow one of the best lunches we have ever had. We went for the fish of the day and so happened to be salmon and shrimp our favourite. So flavoursome. Definitely recommend. The wine was delicious too! Great service

Unfortunately, a very arrogant waiter in a white trick spoiled the whole impression of the restaurant. He was disgustingly disrespectful to us. He kicked us out of the terrace by collecting umbrellas out of nowhere and we begged him that we didn't want to sit in the sun. Unnoticed, he cleaned everything up and left... I'm surprised the owner employs such an unpleasant person.

The food, service and staff leave nothing to be desired. The varied menu is particularly good - perfect if you're looking for something different than the usual Italian restaurant. Everyone will find what they are looking for here! Also a good vegetarian selection.

Very warm welcome, our waiting time was bridged with a glass of Prosecco on the house. The food, service and staff are excellent and super friendly. For dessert then a homemade liqueur - A1! We are happy to recommend the restaurant and will definitely come back when we go to Munich. :-) Thanks!

The Laurin was packed on Saturday lunchtime, and thanks to reservations we had a nice seat. The service staff were constantly stressed, but still always friendly and the food came to the table really quickly, which was absolutely great. Food isn't exactly cheap, but the South Tyrolean specialties were all freshly prepared and therefore very tasty. The Schlutzkrapfen, the three types of dumplings and the veal schnitzel were very well prepared. Only with the schnitzel the fried potatoes could have been a little more. Pannacotta and sorbet were also delicious. The price-performance ratio is absolutely right here, it was fun to be pampered with culinary delights here.

Very good meal once again. A great restaurant with very good service and delicious food. One of my new favorite restaurants. The daily menu also always brings out new, interesting dishes. We'll definitely be back soon.

Update 8.2024 Weather is perfect, beer too, perfect. When I'm at the Viktualienmarkt, I stop here and enjoy a wheat beer in the small beer garden. Watch the hustle and bustle and relax. The food is also highly recommended. We recommend the joro from Torgglerhof in Saltaus in South Tyrol The team is very friendly, courteous and professional. Therefore, a stay here is definitely not a bad idea.

Great restaurant in Old Town. We had the best salad and ragout pasta that I have had in a long time. Food was fantastic, service was prompt and courteous and location was great!

The atmosphere at the outdoor tables, immersed in the comings and goings of Munich, is beautiful. The girls who serve the tables are good, precise but not intrusive. The food is delicious, the best dumplings I've ever eaten before. To try!

After an extensive visit to the Viktualienmarkt, you will find a quiet place here. The small, cozy restaurant offers, in addition to very nice conditions, very tasty food. It's not the last time I'll be here. aBe sure to stop by when you visit Munich 🥂

Good service, good food right in the life of Viktualienmarkt

The Laurin restaurant at the Viktualienmarkt in Munich is an absolute highlight! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, ideal for a relaxed meal after strolling through the market. Particularly noteworthy is the Kaiserschmarrn – a real delicacy! Perfectly cooked, light and airy, with just the right amount of sweetness and fried until golden brown. A must for anyone who comes here. The service is friendly and attentive, so you feel completely comfortable. I can recommend Laurin to anyone who wants to take a culinary break in Munich. Just great!

For a bit of real South Tyrolean hospitality you can save yourself the trip over the Brenner Pass (as long as you arrive in time has reserved, otherwise you could be out of luck in the Laurin - but that only speaks for this great restaurant)! Thank you from my wife and I - today was the perfect setting for our 20th wedding anniversary! Update as of December 17, 2023 For my birthday, my wife reserved a table for dinner three weeks in advance. When we arrived the restaurant was full, the reservation was "somehow not there" even though my wife had received a confirmation of the reservation from open table that morning. After about 30 minutes we were seated in the middle of the restaurant (a seat by the window had been reserved) at a table for four, where two seats were already occupied by two very loud young men. When the food arrived after a long wait, the disappointment became even greater. My wife had fish with pea risotto which was completely tasteless. It's a shame, a lovely evening was completely ruined!!!

Asked gnocchi and got spaghetti. Still don’t know the reason.. Found a bit overpriced 20€ for bolognese pasta and thought there could be more options in the menu.

Claudio and his charming team are really great hosts and truly anticipate your every wish. The cuisine leaves nothing to be desired. Inventors of South Tyrolean cuisine and some interpretations are absolutely right there. For lunch I had an excellent lumber book and my companion had the dumpling tris from which they were both super happy.

Das Essen war insgesamt sehr gut und auch recht kreativ. Insbesondere der gegrillte Oktopus ist empfehlenswert. Die Schlutzkrapfen waren mir etwas zu fettig und darum als Hauptgang zu mächtig. Würde ich vielleicht künzeher als Vorspeise nehmen. Service ist freundlich und aufmerksam. Was uns aber gestört hat, war die Lautstärke im Lokal und die etwas hektische Atmosphäre. Bei schönem Wetter im Freien wäre es sicher ein toller Abend geworden

Very unfriendly service. Even though it was half empty and it was already 8 p.m., we weren't allowed to sit down to have a drink, not even at the bar.

Die Südtiroler Spezialitäten im Restaurant Laurin sind von absolut hoher Qualität und konnten geschmacklich wirklich überzeugen. Die Auswahl ist reichlich, erschlägt aber nicht und bietet eigentlich für jeden Geschmack einen Treffer. Wie hätten gerne im Gastgarten gesessen, das hat das Wetter aber leider nicht zugelassen - vielleicht beim nächsten Mal :)

Came here for an early dinner solo so they were able to accommodate me. Based on my observation, you should make a reservation. Service was excellent, food was great. Staff spoke English and were very polite. It ur looking for a lighter food option and a relaxed atmosphere, this is it.

Great restaurant BUT…. Very good location, very clean, nice menu, friendly staff and good South Tyrolean food! Why you ruin the very good impression by putting the bill on the guests' table without asking at 10:20 p.m. and then turning off the music and switching on the bright skylight 10 minutes later is a mystery to me. You are basically complimented out around 10:30 p.m. This ended the pleasant evening abruptly. And all this in the most central point of the cosmopolitan city with a heart.

The Laurin is great. The Kaiserschmarrn is very good. However, you have to order the raisins separately. The tartare 100% perfect. The service was excellent and the boss Daniel really cooperates. We'll definitely be back father

A pleasant surprise in Munich, delicious food, 10 points, be sure to try the soup and ravioli, incredible.

The food and drinks were great. Unfortunately we were very disappointed with the service. From the beginning we were treated condescendingly by the waiter. After eating we sat for 20 minutes with empty plates and our glasses were also empty. We were then able to order something again but unfortunately had to sit in front of empty glasses again for 25 minutes. Even multiple hand signals to all the waiters didn't help. Our criticism was not addressed and we were again treated condescendingly. Very disappointing

Since this restaurant offers a mix of Tyrol and Italian cuisine it would be a perfect choice for those who want to try something typical from Tyrol (which cuisine is quite similar to the ones in Austria and Bavaria) but does not wish to be burdened by heavy local specialties (it is not a secret that German and Austrian food is quite heavy). Highly recommended.

Must eat here in Munich! It’s small and the inside is modern and rustic. Loved our waitress and the food was super delicious! The flavor profile and twist in classic Bavarian dishes was not to be missed. If you are looking for comfort food, classic but elevated, this is for you.

Unfortunately we didn't take any photos, but we had a nice evening in Laurin. My wife's salmon and a Viennese schnitzel were ok, but the two cordon bleu were very tasty. The service was good and the ambience was good too.

The Caesar crumble was divine, but I couldn't find a menu that I would have eaten as a main course. My friend tried the daily menu, which he really liked.

My first visit and I'm thrilled. Incredibly nice service, very good wine recommendations and excellent food at super fair prices. You no longer expect that in this situation (unfortunately). I'll be back!

Wir kommen seit Jahren, bisher immer ein gutes Mittagsessen, frische Qualität, gute Gerichte, ausreichende Menge mit einem guten Service. Die letzten paar Male waren eine einzige Katastrophe. Kleine Portionen, schlechte Qualität ( heute z.B. heute Schnitzel Wiener Art, total versalzen und zäh, Salat nicht frisch …) Service überfordert. Werden nicht mehr hingehen.

Great location and delicious food.

Good service and very friendly place in the center of Munich. The menu is small, a guarantee of quality cuisine. We ordered a "werner schnitzel" and a green salad with goat cheese. Beautiful presentation of the dishes, quality and hearty meals. The bread is homemade.

Had reserved by phone for 3:00 p.m. We were asked if we wanted to eat something too. We said no, and the answer was that we didn't need a large table and that a small table was reserved for us, which was completely sufficient. Now we were there and there was no reservation! We were sent away unkindly. It was claimed that we hadn't called and that we were making it up. That is not how it works! Not even worthy of 1 star.

We had a very nice evening for two. The service staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, the food and wine were very tasty. The main reason for this rating, however, is the best Kaiserschmarrn I have ever eaten, and the aftertaste accompanied me all the way home to the hotel. Thanks for that!

The Knödeltris is Classic! Strongly recommended, tasty! I feel that even better than what I experienced in Südtirol. The Schnitzels were served in two large pieces that were also well done, I couldn’t finished. Service in general is adequate, atmosphere is somehow steaming because fully occupied. Good business!

We came spontaneously and sat outside. The waiters are friendly, the food comes quickly and tastes fantastic. The prices are fair and reasonable, especially for the location - the appetizer and drink prices should be highlighted. We will definitely come again :)

Nice decor, friendly and fast service, food for larger budgets Since we only got a slot for 1 hour, the two of us ordered 1 starter and 1 main course (both were brought together) alongside a bottle of wine; The starter tartare for €18.80 with the normally chopped ingredients was rather carelessly placed on the plate and consisted of 1 pot of butter, 2 slices of bread, 2 whole cucumbers...The main course Schlutzkrapfen was also rather manageable for €22.80 - the small salad was very good; the bottle of wine was even cheap. I would recommend the veal schnitzel - it looked really good and was a very good portion for the price with side dishes
