Texas Steaklounge in Erfurt

After 8 years I went back to Texas and I can only say it was fantastic! The service was very attentive and friendly, my steak (500 grams, rare) was cooked to perfection!

We arrived there spontaneously during a trip from North Bavaria to Saxony-Anhalt and just loved it. It was mother's day and we immediately received a gift of one bottle of bubbly each, which was a great start and so generous! The service was excellent, swift and friendly, the food was delicious, the atmosphere outside in the shade super cozy and relaxing. We had a great time and would love to come back any time if we're to ever pass by again. Cheers!

The food was excellent, all the appetizers and main courses were cooked to perfection… the young Ukrainian waiter was very nice and attentive, however, a young, overly confident waitress gave the otherwise very pleasant evening a really bad aftertaste; the way she treated the guest was borderline and intrusive, as is always the case… that was a real shame.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ What an evening! I just wanted to eat, but this steakhouse felt like a spiritual journey. The food was so good I briefly considered sending the chef a friend request. The steaks were cooked to perfection, the side dishes were delicious, and the portions were genuinely generous. You can immediately tell that someone here knows what they're doing and isn't just throwing a random piece of meat into a pan. The service was attentive, quick, and genuinely friendly. No over-the-top showmanship, just people who know what they're doing and enjoy what they do. The ambiance: warm, modern, and cozy. Just the right mix of stylish and relaxed. You sit there and think to yourself: yes, I could stay here a while. For me, one of the best steakhouses in the city.

High level maintained for many years

Steak & Burger A reliable place for classic steaks in Erfurt. The service is consistently very good, attentive, and dependable. We come regularly with friends because the quality and atmosphere are great. The steaks are almost always very good. Sometimes, however, they don't quite get "medium" right.

The food is very good; I had a medium-rare 400g dry-aged T-bone steak with truly divine fried potatoes and was thrilled.

The atmosphere was absolutely lovely, and the food was delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant. A special mention must go to the man behind the counter; you were the star of the show! You really knew what you were doing. Thank you for letting us dine with you. ;)

They really know how to make good burgers here. The bun is perfectly toasted and slightly crispy, the ingredients are high-quality and generously portioned, and the steakhouse fries are simply perfect. Highly recommended!

We had a truly wonderful evening. Our waiter Basti and the entire staff were very attentive and friendly, and they gave us an excellent recommendation. All in all, a fantastic experience. We would definitely come back and highly recommend this steakhouse.

Theoretically, no restaurant is currently open and yet there's no room for the four of us (all tables are still empty).

The food and the prices were reasonable. The atmosphere was very cozy, and there was a good selection of food and drinks. Unfortunately, the service didn't reflect this quality. While the staff were generally friendly, I found our server to be very impersonal and unmotivated. My companions felt the same way, which was a real shame. A brief greeting and a smile shouldn't be too much to ask. It's no use asking three times during the meal if everything is alright if I don't come back to the table afterward to ask if we need anything else. It even got to the point where we had to go to the bar twice to get someone's attention. Even when the bill arrived, it was handed over so coldly that we seriously considered whether or not to leave a tip. It was on par with a fast-food joint. And even if the server was having a bad day, I, as a customer, shouldn't notice. That would be professional!

You have to wait forever for the food.

Very nice ambience, food very tasty, easy to recommend

The steak was served without any garnish on a large, empty plate, which was a major drawback to the way the food was served. When I asked them about it, they told me I had to choose the "sides" myself! A small garnish to make the plate look more attractive and appetizing is different from a side dish. I ended up waiting a few minutes for my side (BBQ sauce) and started eating my steak cold. The server could have warned me that I would be getting an empty plate, but she wasn't even knowledgeable enough to tell me what their special sauce (Texas sauce/dip) tasted like (I asked if it was sweet or sour, etc., and they told me they didn't know). Our table was dark; I saw that other tables had their own lighting, but ours was only illuminated by the ambient light in the restaurant. Therefore, I give the atmosphere 4 stars.

Drinks take a while to arrive, but otherwise, I highly recommend it. I left the restaurant happy and full.

We ate here at the steakhouse for our birthday and were completely satisfied. Perfect steak of very high quality, cooked to perfection, very tasty side dishes, excellent service, and a wonderful atmosphere. We'd be happy to come back for special occasions.

As always, a very pleasant evening in a cozy atmosphere. Meat lovers will definitely get their money's worth here. The service is always attentive, although we had to wait a little longer for the drinks this time (they arrived after the starter). We think the prices are reasonable, because here you get quality on the plate!

We were attending an event at the theater and decided on the spur of the moment to visit the steak lounge afterward. Despite it being very late for a Thursday, we received a warm welcome and enjoyed the full range of food and service. The ambiance was incredibly stylish and beautiful. The attention to detail was incredible. We couldn't get enough of the food. The dishes come in small and large sizes, so you can easily order multiple dishes. We were very surprised by the prices, as we're used to them being different back home (near Potsdam). Very good value for money. We celebrated my 50th birthday at the Texas Lounge on September 20, 2025. Even though we were only a few extra people at short notice and simply needed an extra chair, the waitress treated us rudely and abruptly. Drinks arrived after 30 minutes, the food after 1.5 hours – and instead of hospitality, we were met with ignorance and a suggestion to sit closer together. The atmosphere was completely ruined. The food was good, but the service and friendliness were completely lacking. For me, this was definitely my last visit.

We were here with a larger group, and everyone was very satisfied with the food. The burgers were delicious and the portions were very generous. The service could have been a bit more attentive.

I went to the restaurant with my family because it was recommended to us, and I would definitely recommend it to others! The ambiance is beautiful and decorated in a Texas style. Every table is super comfortable, and the food was perfect! The steak was cooked to perfection, and the sides were also delicious. Today was our first visit to the Texas Steak Lounge. The restaurant has a very modern interior, is inviting, and is also very clean. For starters, we had nachos with cheese – the portion was generous and easily enough for two people. For the main course, I chose spare ribs and wings. The meat was beautifully tender, the marinade was intensely flavorful, and the overall experience was delicious. The value for money is absolutely spot on. For me, this is definitely one of the best restaurants of its kind in Erfurt!

Had ordered a burger which however lost about 1 liter of sauce water when I picked it up and drowned the whole plate with liquid afterwards the fries were also completely wet the service was friendly but with a certain zero desire mood on the whole however it is however at a high price

Once again a great evening, everything went very well from the reservation to the service. Good food, great service, everything was very relaxed and casual despite Corona. You would think everything was normal. The steak was once again a dream. The restaurant was not crowded, just a lovely evening. I can't say more about it except see you next time then. Birthday was there today 2025, as always everything was great, it couldn't be better. No go for me, large dogs in restaurants or animals in restaurants in general. It may be okay outside, but inside is completely out of the question for me. Sorry, I have nothing against animals, but it just doesn't work in a restaurant. Sorry.

Hello, I had a wonderful evening with my family. I mentioned on the reservation that it was my husband's birthday. I wasn't expecting anything, but I was all the more pleased that he was greeted with a "Happy Birthday" and that the table was simply decorated with a small sign. The food was wonderful, and the steaks were cooked to my liking. The service was very attentive and an excellent experience for me as a guest. You are a great team. Keep it up!

Super nice service, the food was mediocre.

Since I was spending almost two days in Erfurt with two colleagues for business, we wanted to go out for a nice meal. Unfortunately, we were fooled by the 4.6 Google stars and decided on the Texas Steak Lounge. All three of us had the 300g rump steak. It was the worst steak I've eaten in a long time, and charging almost €40 for it is outrageous. At first, I thought, well, maybe it's just yours, but unfortunately, my colleagues' steaks were no better. Their fries were good, and my handful of fried potatoes were delicious, too. The service didn't seem to enjoy their job either. Sorry, but it wasn't worth it, especially not for the prices.

Delicious, juicy steaks, cooked to perfection. Good burgers, friendly service. A very pleasant atmosphere. A must-visit for steak lovers in Erfurt. We'll be happy to return on our next visit.

The absolute best burgers I've ever eaten. I've never had such good burgers at any other place in Germany, even though I've traveled quite a bit. Another absolute highlight: the sweet potato fries and the homemade barbecue sauce.

We came here one evening for dinner with friends.. The decor is already attractive from the outside, with a great atmosphere, both inside and outside on the terrace.. We met a friendly, helpful, smiling staff, which is what you would expect in a place like this.. The place offers a great selection of drinks and food.. we were hungry, so we ate 4 types of steak, all of which were very delicious, we were satisfied with the flavors and quality.. This place is definitely recommended for those who want to eat delicious food at a good price in a pleasant environment..

Three of us went there for dinner that evening. I've eaten many steaks in my life, from Dubai to Croatia, and this was one of the best. The only difference is that it costs half as much as steaks of comparable quality. The pepper sauce was also fantastic. Thank you to the whole team for a great evening :)

Unfriendly staff; there are seven free tables on the terrace, but they're locked. When I politely asked, they were once yelled at. The staff were listless and absolutely terrible... Any manager who tolerates such behavior from their staff should rethink their approach...

On a very special day of the month, we spent a wonderful evening at Texas. It doesn't take many words to describe our experience – the service (including the super-easy online reservation) was, as always, very pleasant, and the food was outstanding. Our medium-rare fillet arrived warm at our table and was devoured within minutes. We'd love to come back!

Great ambience, great concept and beautiful concepts

Everything was okay, but nothing special. The burger patty wasn't tasty. The price/performance ratio was okay.

Texas is simply our absolute favorite restaurant. Whether it's meat, salad, or fries, the food is of very high quality and tastes simply fantastic. The cheesecake is also an absolute dream, so creamy and full-flavored. Special praise also goes to the service. The team is very competent and always makes you feel at home. We always enjoy coming back and enjoy every stay :-)

Had dinner for two. My wife loved it. The steaks were really good, and the staff was friendly and not too pushy. We'd love to come back.

The staff should be retrained, as the main waitress on our evening was very clumsy and had to ask a lot of questions in the kitchen/counter. Furthermore, after our appetizer, while clearing away, a second waitress asked us if we wanted anything else or if we wanted the bill. Up to that point, we'd only had corn on the cob and a carpaccio. We also had wings and ribs, which weren't very tasty. The "homemade" sauce wasn't our cup of tea, and the carpaccio lacked flavor. All in all, unfortunately, not convincing. However, I've only been there one evening so far, so maybe it was the wrong evening.

We got a great table without a reservation. The spare ribs and chicken wings are absolutely outstanding. The service was very attentive and friendly, and the ambiance couldn't be more beautiful for lovers of rustic food! I highly recommend it and would definitely come back here again when in Erfurt!

It's worth a visit. Especially if you're a meat eater, but they also offer delicious salads. It's best to reserve in advance. If you're lucky, you might even get a parking space right outside the front door, otherwise, allow a bit of time to search. Have fun and enjoy your meal.

Went to Texas for the first time and thought it was great.

A disappointment Positive: + Very nicely decorated restaurant + Attractive US style Negative: - An absolute no-go are the tables for individuals, which - as is often the case - are located near the toilets. With steak prices of 50 euros, you feel like a second-class guest there. - Waited 45 minutes for our steak. - The back area near the toilets was reminiscent of a children's birthday party with children playing and screaming, exactly the atmosphere you don't want in a US steakhouse at 8pm. - The steak itself was a disappointment: the edge of fat was completely charred and inedible. - I ordered the steak medium, but it was served medium well, and in some places even completely cooked through. It was actually the first time I sat in a purely steakhouse and wished I had just gotten a kebab instead. As many things went wrong that evening, it's hard for me to imagine that this was in the restaurant's best interests.

Six of us went there very hungry and came out really full. Why? Quite simply, everything looked delicious, everything tasted delicious and even if the prices are quite reasonable, it is definitely worth a visit. The toilets are very clean. And definitely something for vegetarians too.

Very good steak restaurant in Erfurt. I had a 300g rump steak and was super satisfied. Due to the high temperature grill, the steak had a great crust and was perfectly medium rare on the inside. The portion size of the side dishes is also very decent (I've had different experiences in other steak restaurants). I would definitely like to go here again. The service was also very friendly and attentive. 1 star deducted for the ambience because it was very drafty at our table due to the rather open entrance area.

Last Sunday, 01/06/25, we got together with friends - 4 adults and 1 child. Liked: 1) Service, I don’t know what our waiter’s name was - he explained everything in detail and spoke excellent English. He gave us a number of recommendations. Offered a children's menu. 2) I really liked the Australian steaks, my wife and I took different ones (2 options on the menu) 200 grams each, medium rare. Juicy, soft, perfectly fried 3) We took beef tartare to start - I would say it was a little expensive. And not the best tartar, but this is our subjective opinion. We compare with the Czech Republic and tartar in Tenerife at El Corte Engle’s store. 4) Dessert - American cheesecake. I would also say that it’s not great, but it’s on par. 5) Friends took regular steaks and the child had a turkey steak - everything was OK 6) I really liked the restaurant in terms of the atmosphere - you can talk, you don’t have to shout over the music. We were warmly welcomed and shown to our ordered table. From taking the order to eating it, everything was polite, nice and friendly. We can only recommend it. Price performance is also appropriate for this time. The ambience is always adapted to the season or the occasion. The waitresses are friendly and accommodating.

Very good restaurant. Rarely have I had such a good steak. The cooking level was on point and the meat was very tasty. Service was very professional and friendly. We had to wait a little long for the food, but that was probably because every seat in the restaurant was completely occupied. Texas Steak Lounge is highly recommended.

It wasn't our first time here and the steaks and starters are really great. I admit that the prices are on the higher end but the quality is good. The cheesecake as dessert is highly recommended.

We had a great evening, the food was overall very good. There is a point deduction for us because the meat was on it for too long and therefore wasn't cooked to the desired level. Unfortunately the coleslaw was a bit poor, we still know it with carrots, unfortunately it was just a pure white cabbage salad. The beef tartare was very good, and of course the price was steep for a starter. But recommended! I would also think it would be nicer if the service didn't change 3 times in the evening. We were there for 2 hours shortly after opening and then had 3 different people to serve us. But all 3 were very nice and attentive!
