Texas Steaklounge in Erfurt

Six of us went there very hungry and came out really full. Why? Quite simply, everything looked delicious, everything tasted delicious and even if the prices are quite reasonable, it is definitely worth a visit. The toilets are very clean. And definitely something for vegetarians too.

Delicious. The service lady (pink hair) may not have had her best day. We'd love to come back.

Very good steak restaurant in Erfurt. I had a 300g rump steak and was super satisfied. Due to the high temperature grill, the steak had a great crust and was perfectly medium rare on the inside. The portion size of the side dishes is also very decent (I've had different experiences in other steak restaurants). I would definitely like to go here again. The service was also very friendly and attentive. 1 star deducted for the ambience because it was very drafty at our table due to the rather open entrance area.

Last Sunday, 01/06/25, we got together with friends - 4 adults and 1 child. Liked: 1) Service, I don’t know what our waiter’s name was - he explained everything in detail and spoke excellent English. He gave us a number of recommendations. Offered a children's menu. 2) I really liked the Australian steaks, my wife and I took different ones (2 options on the menu) 200 grams each, medium rare. Juicy, soft, perfectly fried 3) We took beef tartare to start - I would say it was a little expensive. And not the best tartar, but this is our subjective opinion. We compare with the Czech Republic and tartar in Tenerife at El Corte Engle’s store. 4) Dessert - American cheesecake. I would also say that it’s not great, but it’s on par. 5) Friends took regular steaks and the child had a turkey steak - everything was OK 6) I really liked the restaurant in terms of the atmosphere - you can talk, you don’t have to shout over the music. The steaks were very good - cooked to perfection. We were extremely satisfied with this and the side dishes. However, we didn't like the long waiting time at all. Therefore 1 star deducted.

A beautiful restaurant with a great ambience. Very friendly staff and beautifully prepared food. Here I ate the best fillet steak medium rare so far. Absolutely recommended if you are traveling to Erfurt.

We were warmly welcomed and shown to our ordered table. From taking the order to eating it, everything was polite, nice and friendly. We can only recommend it. Price performance is also appropriate for this time. The ambience is always adapted to the season or the occasion. The waitresses are friendly and accommodating.

Very good restaurant. Rarely have I had such a good steak. The cooking level was on point and the meat was very tasty. Service was very professional and friendly. We had to wait a little long for the food, but that was probably because every seat in the restaurant was completely occupied. Texas Steak Lounge is highly recommended.

It wasn't our first time here and the steaks and starters are really great. I admit that the prices are on the higher end but the quality is good. The cheesecake as dessert is highly recommended.

We had a great evening, the food was overall very good. There is a point deduction for us because the meat was on it for too long and therefore wasn't cooked to the desired level. Unfortunately the coleslaw was a bit poor, we still know it with carrots, unfortunately it was just a pure white cabbage salad. The beef tartare was very good, and of course the price was steep for a starter. But recommended! I would also think it would be nicer if the service didn't change 3 times in the evening. We were there for 2 hours shortly after opening and then had 3 different people to serve us. But all 3 were very nice and attentive!

A very nice restsurant, comfortably furnished. The service was very nice, helpful and on the ball! We had a small table for 3 people, there wasn't enough space for food and drinks. Unfortunately, my 300 g roast beef was a bit too far for medium rare and had little edible meat due to the fat edge being far too thick. Side dishes such as vegetables, wedges or sauces had to be ordered separately and were added to the top. So for €37.30 I had a piece of meat and a small bowl of potato wedges with dip. Definitely too expensive for my taste. I won't be a repeat offender at this restaurant!

Just had a drink after an event at the old opera. The ambience is very nice, the music in the background is pleasant and not too obtrusive like in other local places. The staff is very nice, attentive and accommodating. There is a good selection of drinks and the cocktails are well mixed. Can highly recommend it!

Yesterday the 4 of us were at Texas to have a nice meal before an event. But unfortunately none! We were at the restaurant at 5 p.m. and ordered our food and drinks at 5:15 p.m.! So far so good. The drinks came quite quickly and also the information that the meal would take 45 minutes. We were also asked if we wanted to go to the event, to which we said yes. After half an hour we were asked again whether we wanted to go to the event, to which we again said yes. After that, the service could only be seen from afar. Around 6:20 p.m.!!!! we called the waitress again to our table to ask where the food was. We were somewhat annoyed and told that we should be patient for another 10 minutes. 🤔 At 6:35 p.m. we canceled the order because we had lost our appetite and didn't feel like devouring the food in a hurry, it was supposed to be a treat! It's a shame, we went to the theater hungry. We got our 4 champagne on the house, but that didn't make us any less hungry! Texas won't see us again!

Unfortunately the steak was tasteless. I have no idea how to make the meat taste like almost nothing. The best part of the steak was the salt and pepper on top. Because they had a bit of their own taste. Definitely not recommended for over €20 for just 200g. But hey, the dressing on the salad was solid.

You constantly get the feeling that the restaurant is trying to be something it isn't (at least at the moment). Prices are high, but the quality is rather mixed. Meat is of good quality but the dishes are not fully thought through. This also applies to the service. Not really professional: scatterbrained, quite slow and somehow not at the level where it should be if the restaurant were as upscale as it tries to seem - with one big exception: the waitress with the curls does a really good job, friendly and attentive and somehow seems to be the only one who has everything under control

The food and service were good and friendly. The ambience matches the name. Unfortunately, I find the couch and armchair unsuitable if you also want to eat something because it is uncomfortable to eat.

We had reserved a table for two people on a Sunday evening because we know that Texas is always very busy. We were greeted by a very friendly employee, a stylish guy with a baseball cap, and asked whether we would like to sit outside or inside, both would have been possible despite a reservation. Since it was a summer evening, we decided to go outside and immediately received the tickets to order. Ordered drinks and steaks and the evening was fantastic 😉 We both had steak, the requested cooking point was hit perfectly and about 30 minutes later we had a “dream” of a tender steak. The side dishes were hot, tasty and completely sufficient in quantity. The service was fantastic, people asked for more drinks and of course dessert. By the way, the whiskey selection is extensive - I chose a 12-year-old Glenkinchie and haven't regretted it. All in all, for me the best steakhouse in Erfurt!

Uitstekend restaurant ....reserveren nodig. Het is geen fast food. Wees voorbereid om tot een uur te wachten op je eten als het een drukke dag is. Echter, als je dit van tevoren weet, is het een leuke plek om te eten. Het bedienend personeel is en doet goede aanbevelingen als daarom wordt gevraagd. Ligt net aan de rand van het centrum.

Unfortunately, the restaurant has been getting worse since the beginning of the year. Bored waiters who are unfriendly and you are more likely to be yelled at from behind. The spare ribs could hardly be removed and there was somehow no dressing on the salad. The staff has their private conversations between the tables... right in front of the terrace there is a large paper waste bin which is filled by the residents of the surrounding houses... The ambience is something else... Was my favorite restaurant... But I'm starting slowly I started to think about it...If I want to be successful as a restaurateur, I have to treat my guests as such...

Yesterday we spontaneously went to dinner in Texas. So just come along and think what is free is not. There were reserved signs on all free tables. Unfortunately, right from the start you had the feeling that you were disturbing the early end of the day. Our waiter wasn't exactly a likeable figure. I wonder why someone gets annoyed when they have to correct the tip amount?! The food was ok. The quality of the meat was great, undoubtedly - but there was too little flame and the desired cooking points were not achieved. And I don't think it's so nice to find a portion of frozen wedges from (top buy?) for 5 euros. The steakhouse fries weren't what you actually mean by them either. They were regular fries. It tasted great! We probably won't come back for a while. Maybe they just had a bad day?! Who knows, I won't test it again for over 100 euros. (It was much better there years ago)

Beautiful place with massive ribs that were very good, there was music that was perfectly volumed and a light you got late at night that made it cozy.

This is where you get the best steak in town. I had a 200 gram steak and a side dish with it, these are very generous and filling. Top value for money and great service!

I remembered the restaurant as very good and unfortunately my group was disappointed this time. Our steaks were all very unsatisfactory for the price (39 euros), and the service wasn't very attentive when it came to the drink orders. The biggest thing came at the end: after we received the bill and paid as requested, we left the restaurant. As we were already on the way home, our waiter suddenly called my cell phone and asked where we were. He had presented us with the wrong bill, which he then noticed when collecting money from the next table. That can definitely happen, but it would be more than appropriate for the waiter to show his gratitude for our return with a small drink, after all it is certainly no longer a given that we return... For us it means that we will try the plentiful alternatives to the Texas steak lounge again on our next steak evenings.

Food was quite good, I had a tuna steak. Unfortunately it was very overcooked. The sweet potato fries were very tasty and so were the sauces. The service was very nice, but also very stressed and therefore one or two "I'll bring it to you" were forgotten.

As always, the food was very tasty, the large portion of BBQ spare ribs is really powerful! My boys always eat the Texas burger with fries and have never complained. However, this time we also had the problem that we unfortunately did not respond flexibly to additional requests. This time the dressing for the salad could not be delivered separately; before that, you could not swap the meat patty of a burger for a vegetarian pattie. Nowadays, however, this should be part of good service; it is not a completely absurd request. We would still love to come back the next time we visit our friend!

We ate here on Saturday. We were able to quickly order a table here. We were greeted friendly. The service was great. We had all special requests fulfilled immediately. The food was spot on. My husband was thrilled. My stepson too. We'll be back soon.

You can call us regulars, if you say we go out to eat in Erfurt, then for us it's just Texas. Everything is right here. From the service, to the food (which is always excellent) to the ambience.

Extremely tasty burgers with equally delicious side dishes at reasonable prices.

A very nice steakhouse, super close to the old town! The ambience is great for a steakhouse, the service is great (they patiently welcomed our one-year-old daughter and didn't give us the feeling that she was bothering her) and the food is outstanding!!! Great selection of meat (offer beef from Argentina, USA and Australia), have great side dishes and a great selection of drinks (also cocktails and a lot more that you don't see on the menu)! The steaks cost a bit depending on the cut and origin, but the price is reasonable by today's standards. Had a US beef sirloin steak and it was super tasty. But you can eat ribs or burgers here for much cheaper Personal side note: I think this steakhouse is significantly better than the Louisiana Steakhouse.

The welcome was quite subterranean! We then decided to stay inside because otherwise the table inside might have been gone, completely understandable, but the Texas was pretty empty, regardless. Luckily the food was great! And then the waitress came with her book and the bill inside (just over €60). The money was put in (100€), she stood next to it, opened the book and asked seriously... "What will you get back now?". They literally begged for tips, which we found really outrageous in retrospect. We were so overwhelmed with this question that my friend said "Make €70!". I'm very annoyed about this! Unfortunately, no one will see us there any more!

Very nice, reserved service. US Prime Beef unfortunately medium well instead of “medium” as ordered. But very good quality - therefore no complaints. Unfortunately Bernaise is not homemade. But the pepper sauce does. She is good. Fried potatoes also good - without bacon. Clear recommendation! I'd love to come back 😀

Unfortunately we had a very bad experience with the steakhouse. I ordered US sirloin steak “medium well”, but I got something different. See image. The staff seemed very unfriendly. When the food was served, the cutlery flew across the table. 1x cutlery brought too little. Starter was forgotten. The chili cheese fries were very good. That's why two stars. My wife's ribs were not a hit. No comparison with other restaurants. We will not visit the steakhouse again. P.s the only good thing was the ambience.

There were four of us in Texas, the meat and burgers were of very good quality and tasted very good. The not so nice thing was the service, people looked at you stupidly because you didn't order a second cocktail, and when we paid we had to be talked to stupidly because it wasn't fast enough. Very unfortunate.

I ate spareribs here and I have to say, yes, they were really tasty. The meat came off the bones easily and there was enough quantity. Gladly again. Obviously it is also advisable to reserve in advance. We were lucky and got a table...

The meat would like to come to the table a little warmer, otherwise the food will be wonderful. The waitress tried to always be present despite the large crowds and was always open to further concerns. Visually, the restaurant is a real feast for the eyes. Beautiful furniture and wall decoration. The prices were also completely reasonable. Overall, it's worth a visit.

The steakhouse is easily accessible right on the street. S-Bahn and bus station are nearby. The ambience is in the upper rustic and cozy area. Cozy armchairs, chairs or couches offer a great atmosphere. The service is very attentive and good at what it does. The selection on the menu is good. In addition to ready-made menus, you can also put together your own food. The steaks and citizens were very good. The salad and French fries are also recommended. I can recommend the steakhouse.

As always, it was delicious here and beyond any doubt. Since it was a Friday evening, it took a long time for the food to arrive. But it was also full to the last table. So be sure to reserve. There were 6 of us and everyone was happy. That's rare :) If steaks, then here. The other big chains in EF can't keep up... Of course the price corresponds to the quality, so nothing for every day. But that's ok too. Something special that you treat yourself should remain. PS: The vegetarian in our group also enjoyed delicious side dishes and was more than full.

A sentence with X... Ordered 2 medium well steaks, got medium rare twice. My disappointed mom had hers returned straight away, didn't have to pay for it, but wasn't offered any compensation. I criticized mine, but then ate it because I was hungry. No apology, no compensation. In times of meat thermometers and the like, it's not okay for a steak master to deliver something like that. The salad and the herb baguette that I had as a side dish were a disgrace in terms of quantity and quality. Then - still hungry - I ordered dessert, which was ok, but sweetened spray cream from a can has no place in a restaurant in this price range. At least I was full then. Despite your great location at the old opera, you'll never see us again. Offering something like that for so much money and then not even trying when something goes wrong is simply unbelievable.

Probably the best steak restaurant here in Erfurt. We've been here several times and each time the food and service have been really great. We'll definitely be back. Of course the price is a little higher, but quality comes at a cost.

Leider hat sich das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stark verschlechtert. Die Speisekarte wurde auf der Webseite angepasst, inkl. angemessener Preiserhöhungen. Schade, dass die Preise im Restaurant dann tatsächlich nochmal, aus unserer Sicht unangemessen, höher sind. Die Portionsgröße war dagegen leicht reduziert. Wir werden erstmal vermehrt auf andere Restaurants ausweichen.

Wir waren bei unserem Besuch leider sehr enttäuscht. 80min aufs Essen zu Warten ist dann schon ne Hausnummer. Trotz Reser. Mit dieser langen Wartezeit haben wir nicht gerechnet, sodass wir uns so beeilen mussten zu essen, da wir anschließend noch einen folge Termin hatten. Schade.

Wir waren am 22.12.2023 im Steakhaus essen. Uns hat es dort sehr gut gefallen. Besonders toll finden wir es, dass man sich alles einzeln zusammenstellen kann. Also ganz nach dem eigenen Geschmack. Wir haben selten so gut gegessen. Vielen Dank an das gesamte Team, macht weiter so.

Wenn man schon per Google die Öffnungszeiten bekannt gibt, sollte man die auch auf aktuellem Stand halten. Im Internet steht geöffnet und man steht dann vor verschlossenen Türen.

Super Steaks zu einem sehr guten Preis. Bedienungen sehr freundlich. Das beste Steak das ich je gegessen habe. Und die Cocktails sind auch sehr gut.
