Went to the Blockhouse in Erfurt for the first time today. Summary: I will not dine there again. Compared to another steak restaurant not very far away, the food is below average. About 15% of my rib eye was inedible (cartilage, tendons). I ordered medium and the meat came medium rare. Generally it was not seared and had no roasted flavors or crust. But the worst thing I found was the mushroom pan as a side dish. 0 out of 5 stars. It's canned mushrooms + a really, really bad convenience sauce. Absolutely subterranean in taste. The only good thing was the starter salad. P.S. The service was very friendly.

As always, everything is perfect, friendly staff and even when things get tight, we get a spot promptly after a short wait. We come back regularly. Food is unmistakably awesome. Keep going, you are on the right path.

The American Tenderlion was perfectly medium, the salad with herb dressing was a dream, the side dishes were also very tasty and the lava cake couldn't be beat. The waiter was extremely friendly and accommodating. It's best to come during the week, you can't get anything on the weekend without a reservation.

A typical log cabin restaurant. We were lucky with our waitress, who served us really attentively and very nicely. Unfortunately, I didn't find the steak as tasty as one would have expected given the price. The desired cooking level was well achieved, unfortunately the taste was opaque, almost fishy. Far from a quality piece of meat and therefore very disappointing. Unfortunately it's not particularly comfortable either. It's a shame, but unfortunately I wasn't happy here.

We celebrated my mother's birthday today with the whole family (10 people) at the Blockhouse in Erfurt - and it was a complete success! We were warmly welcomed upon arrival and the entire team made the evening truly unforgettable. The service was absolutely first class: attentive, friendly and with a great dose of warmth. Especially for the kids! The steaks? Simply sensational! Tender, perfectly prepared and of the highest quality – they rightly advertise the best steaks in Erfurt. There was also a great atmosphere, a wonderful birthday song for my mum and even a round of champagne on the house. Such loving details make the difference! Finally, even a little birthday present… We are thrilled and can fully recommend the Blockhouse. Warm service, great food and an all-round successful celebration – we will definitely be back! We have been to this restaurant four times. Everything was always delicious and the service was excellent. Last time we tried the goose leg with red cabbage and we really liked it too. It is the tastiest place in Erfurt. And barrier-free ♿ for people in wheelchairs.

The steaks are of consistently good quality and the service was very good during our visit. Unfortunately, the roasted and grilled chicken legs are no longer on the menu, and the turkey steaks cannot compensate for that.

Like probably everyone in the German population, I go to Eugen Block's Block-House restaurants quite often. Today I'm reviewing the restaurant in Erfurt. Like all houses, well organized and always full (even in terms of volume) My fillet steak was excellent, actually as always. What bothers me, however: The crab salad used to only contain North Sea crabs. Today it's some kind of shrimp/scampi mix. The price may be okay, but the taste is a disaster if you are familiar with the previous crab salads. All in all, a good restaurant that I would visit again at any time. My service employee here in Erfurt (Basel Murad) is extremely attentive and friendly. I like it very much because it has a pleasant and positive charisma. I'd love to come back!

Absolutely delicious steak, cozy atmosphere and delicious drinks. We have spent several girls' nights here. One of us is a vegetarian and she always finds something. ;) Unfortunately we had to wait quite a long time for drinks to be reordered... But that's the only thing! Desserts are simply fantastic!!! And the location in the center is perfect too!

We were very excited about our visit to the Block House😃. We were warmly welcomed, special praise goes to our waitress Julia, we had a lot of laughs. Now to the food, the cheeseburger was a little different without a bun lid but with an extra thick patty 😋 The rump steak was wonderfully tender and to the point. What more could you want? A special kind of steakhouse. I don't want to judge prices here. Everything that is offered is worth its price. If it's too expensive for you, go to the kebab around the corner. I have rarely experienced such friendly, nice and attentive service in any restaurant in recent times. Don't rest on the stars 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟, keep it up. This is what hospitality looks like these days. For everyone else, go and see for yourself.

I was at BLOCK HOUSE this evening with my mom and my little daughter and I have to say that I was absolutely thrilled. I would particularly like to emphasize the child-friendliness - I think you can tell whether a restaurant actually welcomes children or whether they are just barely tolerated. My daughter was immediately given something to paint, was treated with love and at the end she was given soap bubbles and a game of cards. Each of our three dishes was absolutely excellent, we sat comfortably in a nice corner and we were regularly asked whether everything was still OK with us. Unfortunately we are only visiting Erfurt and therefore won't be able to come back soon, but I would like to recommend the restaurant with all my heart!
