Perfect place to eat excellent meats

We ate at the restaurant on Friday. We give it full marks! Polite, courteous, and attentive! Very good food, lived up to all expectations. We thank you and highly recommend Blockhouse Erfurt!

A thoroughly enjoyable evening at Block House Erfurt! The steak was cooked to perfection, the baked potato with sour cream was delicious, and the fresh salad was a perfect complement. The restaurant is modern, cozy, and comfortable at the same time—with a great view of the old town. A big compliment also to Basel, whose friendliness and attentiveness made the service particularly pleasant. We felt very comfortable and will definitely be back!

We come here often and are always satisfied. The meat is prepared to perfection, exactly as we like it, and always to our complete satisfaction. It's always one of my warmest recommendations.

A friendly welcome, a clean location, and delicious food. I chose the Ribeye Mastercut from the menu, which came with garlic bread and a baked potato. Everything was delicious and quickly prepared. I'd be happy to come back.

We were there during peak hours, but we never had to wait long. The service was very friendly.

Great food! From the salad to the sour cream and garlic bread to the garlic butter and, of course, the ribeye, everything tasted excellent. Many thanks to Julia! If someone can tell without words what's bothering a guest, then they're on the right track with the service.

The steaks are really good and the service is very friendly... It's also great for children; they get something to color and a gift at the end. The prices are a bit steep, of course... but what do you expect from a steak restaurant? We always enjoy coming here.

It was our first time there, and I have to say, the taste was really good. But the portions are ridiculous. I had two tiny pieces of meat, a bit of potato gratin, and some vegetables for a whopping €25. I think it was our first and last visit, as I don't think the price-performance ratio is fair.

We visited Block House Erfurt for the first time in a long time, and we were totally disappointed. You'd expect more for the money; the taste was nothing special, and half the food was missing. You sit at the table with empty glasses, and no one asks if everything's okay or if you'd like another drink. We'd definitely prefer Texas again for our next trip.

The portions are getting smaller and smaller, and the service, unfortunately, is getting worse. Empty plates sat on the table for 20 minutes without being noticed by the supervisor or waitress. Is this high-end chain restaurant? What a pity.

Great location with a quiet outdoor seating area right by the Angerbrunnen fountain. An ideal stop to relax and refuel after a long walk in the city. We particularly enjoyed the passion fruit Aperol and the burata. The goulash soup was very small but delicious. Like everything else we ordered. The price/performance ratio is perfectly acceptable. Hence 5 stars deluxe. Top service. Top location. Top food. And Tabaluga is right next door. 😂

Today at the Block House in Erfurt, I found out that the pepper cream sauce with green pepper I ordered didn't contain a single green peppercorn and was slightly spicy/sweet and fruity. The waiter who brought it and the waitress who took my order clearly stated that it was the pepper cream sauce. I still doubt it, as I remembered it differently from a previous visit. The steak was OK, not great. So: a steak mecces, expensive, the staff are questionable. I prefer the Louisiana in Erfurt a thousand times over.

Awful awful service... The service is so bad in Erfurt BlockHouse. The waiters dissappear and you wait forever for your order. Then they bring the salad and the cold steak and forget to bring butter, bread and sauce. The Erfurtrter Block House definitely needs a good manager to control the staff. We paid more than 100 euro fir this shitty service.

We were at the Blockhaus in Erfurt a week ago Saturday and, as always, felt very, very comfortable. Martin's service was outstanding: attentive, warm, and with a pleasant, friendly conversation that made the visit special. The portions were meager, considering the price for two people was just under €70. Our complaint was simply ignored. Unfortunately, not worth repeating.

We were there for dinner. Summery weather. We sat outside. Our server, Julia, was amazing. 🤩 Friendly, witty, direct, and confident. A very personable woman and well-informed about everything in the restaurant. You can rely on Julia's recommendations. But when she says something is "good," that's an understatement. When she recommends something as good, it's going to be amazing. The price-performance ratio was right. We'll be happy to come back.

Excellent cuisine, great dishes, great service, fast service

We had a lovely birthday meal there. The atmosphere is very pleasant and inviting. The service was very attentive and friendly. Without us having asked for it, we received a small birthday present from the house, including a photo and sparkling wine. The food was delicious; the steaks were super tender and cooked to perfection, and the appetizers were also very tasty. Because a main course was delayed for a short time, we were even allowed to choose a free dessert. Absolutely fantastic! We would come again.

I can highly recommend the waiter, David. He was funny, relaxed, and simply personable. He joked around with the kids and us too. We felt very comfortable. The food arrived quickly and was delicious.

Yesterday we had a delicious meal with a reservation. There were three of us for lunch, and it wasn't very busy. The food came quickly and was perfect. The steak menu is highly recommended. The food prices are fair, but, as is often the case, the drinks are a bit overpriced. Overall, it was a nice visit and I highly recommend it.

The food was okay, but not what I expected at Block House. The meat was very tender but completely flavorless; it didn't even taste remotely like beef. It's a real shame; I had hoped for more. What was truly outstanding was the service; it's rarely been as good as this one. Other restaurants could learn a thing or two from that.

Simply amazing!!! We celebrated a birthday. I can only say that the food and the service from all the staff made for a wonderful evening... The tenderloin and the potato gratin, as well as the birthday surprise from the staff, were exceptional. We especially remember Julia, the restaurant manager. She did everything a guest could wish for and more... We'd be happy to come back again, and we can only recommend it (15 people)!!! Thank you for everything, stay the way you are!!!

We're regulars at Blockhouse Erfurt. The food is always delicious. You never have to wait long. And our favorite waitress, Julia, is the best anyway. Overall, the whole team is great! If you want good food with great service, you should go to Blockhouse!

Always delicious... 😋 Very friendly service. Here in Erfurt, you can also sit outside – with the soothing sound of a fountain in the background. But the scandals surrounding the Block family, which we hear and read about in the press, somehow make me doubt whether I want to spend my money here.

Hello, I was on vacation, sorry about that ;) ... luckily, Julia took wonderful care of us. A super dedicated team – from the kitchen to the service and even the chef! They catered to the guests' wishes (thanks to Murat – we're still smiling today ;) ). We felt completely at home and 'almost' like we were with friends, even though it was our first time in Erfurt. We would have liked a large beer... but you can't have everything ;) We 100% recommend the Block House – even when the place is full – they always find a solution to get a table. Went to the Blockhouse in Erfurt for the first time today. Summary: I will not dine there again. Compared to another steak restaurant not very far away, the food is below average. About 15% of my rib eye was inedible (cartilage, tendons). I ordered medium and the meat came medium rare. Generally it was not seared and had no roasted flavors or crust. But the worst thing I found was the mushroom pan as a side dish. 0 out of 5 stars. It's canned mushrooms + a really, really bad convenience sauce. Absolutely subterranean in taste. The only good thing was the starter salad. P.S. The service was very friendly.

As always, everything is perfect, friendly staff and even when things get tight, we get a spot promptly after a short wait. We come back regularly. Food is unmistakably awesome. Keep going, you are on the right path.

The American Tenderlion was perfectly medium, the salad with herb dressing was a dream, the side dishes were also very tasty and the lava cake couldn't be beat. The waiter was extremely friendly and accommodating. It's best to come during the week, you can't get anything on the weekend without a reservation.

A typical log cabin restaurant. We were lucky with our waitress, who served us really attentively and very nicely. Unfortunately, I didn't find the steak as tasty as one would have expected given the price. The desired cooking level was well achieved, unfortunately the taste was opaque, almost fishy. Far from a quality piece of meat and therefore very disappointing. Unfortunately it's not particularly comfortable either. It's a shame, but unfortunately I wasn't happy here.

Unfortunately, as in all these blockhouse restaurants, everyone was relatively unfriendly and indifferent when it came to complaints. Our fillet was so bad inside, it was gray again. We weren't really interested! Starters are good, rest oh well!

Typical Block House dishes and quality. Portions are served fresh but could be larger. Price/performance ratio okay. Payment possible in cash and by card.
