Last weekend my mother's birthday was celebrated in the restaurant. We had a wonderful evening and couldn't have imagined it better! Starting with the great service, the hospitality, the atmosphere and the outstandingly good food. Both the starters and the main courses were super tasty. I think it's clearly noticeable that we remained completely satisfied! ;-) a clear recommendation! Thanks!

Hello, was eating here again after so many years. The food was very very tasty. Unbelievable what came on the table. From the starter to the main course and dessert, it was simply delicious. Whether it's fish, meat, vegetables or the potato slices, they're simply brilliant. The staff and owner were very friendly, even though the restaurant was full, the owner was always there for every guest! Even if you had a special request, it was also fulfilled. I was surprised for my birthday today and we celebrated in this beautiful restaurant The service was excellent and the food was exceptionally good, even very good The meat (I think it's called flank) was a delight for every meat lover, buttery soft and excellently prepared It's rare that I write a review, but it's worth it I recommend that you all reserve a table here and let Zacharias and his tram pamper you 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

After hearing so many good things, we decided to accept an invitation and try it out ourselves. Unfortunately, our visit was anything but pleasant. The staff were consistently unfriendly and showed little to no interest in serving us. Despite multiple attempts to order drinks, they were either forgotten or brought very late. This contributed significantly to our disappointment. The food itself was disappointing. What we were served was far below what we expected from a restaurant of this class. The quality of the food was more reminiscent of an average takeaway meal. A particular annoyance was the dessert, which was delivered incorrectly. Overall the standard of food was comparable to a chip shop, although I must add that some chip shops offer better quality. Overall, our visit was disappointing and did not live up to the praises we had heard beforehand. Unfortunately, due to the bad experience, we cannot recommend this restaurant.

Were there for the second and last time, each time the waiters were unfriendly, not showing a friendly expression, not returning a small smile, everything was slammed on the table, such as drinks, cutlery trays and the food. The gyro was almost inedible, too dry and bland, I think it was the rest of the gyro skewer. The fries and the tzatziki were not enough. There wasn't even coleslaw or a mixed salad, you had to order it separately (€3.50) The side salad was just lettuce leaves with an unappetizing looking sauce slapped on top. So a meal cost us €19.20, which was definitely way too expensive. In the end the waiter didn't even ask us if everything was ok, I just waited for that. In retrospect, I was annoyed that we didn't return the food.

There were 5 of us there and all but 1 of us were there for the first time. The restaurant is cozy, only the area in front of the toilets seems a bit untidy. 2 meals, a kind of gyros pita, were plenty. However, the 3 meat dishes were dry and so few fries that it seemed outrageous. There wasn't a side salad either, and that was at such a high price. The souvlaki lacked the typical Greek spices. Starter zucchini balls are extremely plentiful. There was no bread or anything similar beforehand. The waitress spoke unclearly, and if you didn't react straight away, the comment was made as to whether you didn't know what you had ordered. No drinks were asked. There is no reason for us to go to this restaurant again.

It smells of olive groves and Mediterranean sun when you are greeted with friendliness and food suggestions from the kitchen. We have been regular guests for 30 years and enjoy the atmosphere and hospitality with young and old alike. The food is sufficiently portioned and is of very good quality. Also in the choice of drinks No wish remains unfulfilled. Children and young people come here, as do other guests, to enjoy their culinary delights. Whether it's a family celebration or an intimate meal for two - it's worth making a reservation here. The outdoor area in particular should also be a reason to come to Leichlingen by bike or car.

After a short dry spell, we are now back in full swing. The food is delicious and plentiful. The starters were terrific. Service is also great as is the option to eat outside. Everything is within reasonable price.

For us by far the best restaurant with Greek cuisine. Whether as a couple or with everyone, we will always receive friendly service and great advice. The appetizers alone are worth a visit! We also like to stay seated longer even after the plates have long since been cleared away. Always my pleasure!!!

I am a native of Leichlinger and have spent half my life there. The Taverna is a piece of home and I have known it since my childhood. The restaurant always immediately catapulted me to Greece because of the structure of the walls and the interior design. Unfortunately, instead of the cozy candles, LED plastic lamps can now be found on the tables. The taverna is more modern, but now has less ambience. Unfortunately the food was below average. The starter was delicious, but the meat was full of tendons and there wasn't enough for a main meal. The prices are now quite high, even for the drinks! Unfortunately, the service didn't pay attention to whether glasses were empty. As always, everyone was very friendly and recommended dishes. I really like the owners! Unfortunately it was our last visit there because we weren't really happy and it was too much money for that.

The food is really very tasty and the portions are large enough to satisfy larger appetites. I have to explicitly highlight the food here because it is really incredibly aromatic, delicious and to the point. Everyone at the table was happy and content. If I were to only rate the food, it would be a 5☆+. However, with a heavy heart I have to deduct 0.5 stars each for the service and the ambience. The restaurant is lovingly furnished and has that old charm that I totally embraced. Unfortunately, what made eating difficult was the table being too low for me and the size of the table. Even with my elbows on, it was almost impossible to eat properly. Unfortunately that spoiled the ambience for me. On the next visit I hope that we no longer have the space problem or that there are only two of us instead of 7. Then the service should also serve the coffee round at the end at the same time. Of course, something can always be forgotten, so I'm happy to hopefully be able to upgrade this rating from 4 stars to 5 soon.

Super cozy, authentic tavern with Greek charm, great team! My father already came here. I always like the boss's personal recommendations, so far I haven't done anything wrong. I love coming in the evening, and also very nice in the summer: the terrace.

I was there once last year. After eating I felt very bad. Severe nausea and diarrhea. I called the restaurant: “Something must have been wrong, I thought. We're all human. I was dealt with in a very unfriendly manner on the phone and also found out that they had spoken about me and my criticism to a mutual acquaintance. And that I shouldn't enter the restaurant again. Learned: Some people can't handle direct criticism, they need the control of the health department. A pity

Table reserved for 8:30 p.m. When we arrived the staff was very abrupt and disrespectful, without any information we were told to wait at the entrance. After we asked how long it would take, they said that a table should first become available, even though we had called and reserved. After the time had finally come, we were given a table at the corner where no one could sit or eat. It was an imposition, even though we pointed it out, there was no reaction. We walked out in a huff and left the place. We won't be seeing this place again and will strongly not recommend it to anyone.

Die Karte wurde in den letzten Jahren immer mal wieder verkleinert, aber die Gericht sind immer noch lecker und nicht zu teuer. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Die aktuelle Speisekarte hat es "in sich". Hauptgerichte werden nämlich nicht mehr mit z.B. kleinem Beilagensalat und Tzatsiki serviert! Wer z.B.Lammkoteletts bestellt, bekommt für € 22,90 vier Koteletts und nach Wahl z.B. Scheibenkartoffeln: das war's. Der Beilagensalat kostet € 3,50 und Tzatsiki € 6,00. Stolzer Preis!!!! ............................................... Essen war heute sehr gut. Bedienung aber wieder nachlässig und Brot für unseren Tisch mit vier Personen vergessen. Es hat sich eine spürbare Nachlässigkeit eingestellt. Das Bemühtsein um den Gast fehlt mittlerweile, leider.

Ich muss leider meine gute Bewertung revidieren. Essen war diesmal nur ok. Der Beilagensalat war leider nicht frisch die Salatblätter waren braun und somit nicht appetitlich. Kein Zaziki beim Gyros dabei musste für 6€ dazu bestellt werden. Die Bedienung war nicht aufmerksam. Getränke immer nur auf Anfrage. Da es nicht voll war so nicht nachvollziehbar. So würde ich das Lokal nicht noch einmal besuchen. Bewertung alt: Sehr leckeres und frisches Essen. Die Bedienung war freundlich und Aufmerksam.

Wir waren nicht besonders begeistert , Essen war ohne Herz, Service eher schleppend, man fühlte sich nicht willkommen. Es gibt griechische Imbisse in Leichlingen, die deutlich besser sind.

Mittlerweile ist die zweite Generation am Ruder, die Qualität des Essens ist sehr gut und das Ambiente stimmt. Bei schönem Wetter kann man sehr schön im Garten sitzen und bei schlechtem Wetter ist man drinnen sehr gemütlich und authentisch aufgehoben. Besser immer reservieren!

Das Gyros mit Metaxa Soße schmeckt sehr gut. Der Service ist super nett und sehr aufmerksam.

Sind schon seit über 20 Jahren Gäste und nun haben wir den Biergarten ausprobiert, einfach Spitze. Ist und bleibt der beste Grieche in der Region 💪👍

Sehr freundlich. Schmeckt uns. Griechisches Restaurant seit Jahrzehnten familiengeführt. In der Nähe des kleinen Bahnhofs, bei gutem Wetter mit Biergarten. Reservierung lohnt sich.
