Akropolis in Leichlingen (Rhld.)

Wir waren heute zum essen dort eingeladen und können folgendes aus eigenem Empfinden und Erfahrung teilen. Das Essen war qualitativ okay, ,aber erinnerte stark an Kinderteller aufgrund der Portionen. Die Bedienungen waren freundlich, jedoch wurde auch 2 mal etwas vergessen und wir mussten daran erinnern dass etwas bestellt wurde bzw haben dann abbestellt, weil die anderen Personen bei uns am Tisch schon fertig waren mit den Nachspeisen. Eine andere Sache wurde komplett vergessen, daran haben wir aber dann auch nicht mehr erinnert.... Das Ambiente ist sehr gedrückt und stickig, bei 24 Grad Außentemperatur kein Fenster geöffnet, das Mobiliar sehr trostlos und in die Jahre gekommen. Auch sind dort viel zu viele Tische im kleinen Raum und es ist ziemlich laut. Gemütlichkeit und Wohlfühlfaktor ist gleich null. Außenbereich war bei schönstem Wetter (immer noch die erwähnten 24 Grad Außentemperatur), gar nicht geöffnet. Die Qualität und Geschmack des Essens würde ich mit einer 3 als Schulnote bewerten. Nicht schlecht, aber auch nichts wirklich besonderes mit dem Drang danach, es unbedingt noch einmal essen zu wollen. Für das Auge waren die Speisen auch nicht wirklich nett angerichtet. Alles in allem ein Lokal wo man hin gehen kann, wenn man mal schnell etwas durchnittliches essen will, keinen großen Hunger hat und nicht wirklich Wert auf Privatsphäre oder Ambiente legt. Gesamtnote eine NOCH 4- Schulnote

Schon bevor das Restaurant geöffnet hatte, war ich etwas früher vor Ort und wartete auf meine beiden Freunde auf dem Parkplatz. Dabei fiel mir auf, dass der Parkplatz immer voller wurde. Pünktlich zur Öffnungszeit um 17:30 Uhr strömten die Gäste ins Restaurant – ein gutes Zeichen, wie sich später herausstellen sollte. Wir hatten vorab reserviert, was definitiv die richtige Entscheidung war. Bereits beim Betreten fiel uns die gemütliche Einrichtung auf. Das Restaurant ist mit viel Holz eingerichtet und hat einen eher klassischen, etwas älteren Charme. Gerade das hat für eine besonders warme und authentische Atmosphäre gesorgt, in der man sich sofort wohlfühlt. Zur Begrüßung gab es direkt einen Ouzo aufs Haus – ein sehr herzlicher Start in den Abend. Als Vorspeise teilten wir uns zu dritt den Vorspeisenteller für zwei Personen mit frischem, warmem Brot. Die Auswahl war nicht nur optisch sehr ansprechend, sondern auch geschmacklich hervorragend. Besonders die Aubergine hat mich begeistert. Das warme Brot dazu war einfach perfekt. Die Hauptgerichte standen der Vorspeise in nichts nach: Das Fleisch war unglaublich zart und saftig, der Reis hervorragend gewürzt und insgesamt war alles auf den Punkt zubereitet. Für mich gehört dieses Restaurant definitiv zu den besten griechischen Restaurants, in denen ich bisher gegessen habe. Auf dem Restaurantschild steht "Wo sie zur Familie gehören". Das fühlt man! Das gesamte Team war ausgesprochen freundlich und aufmerksam. Man merkte nicht nur bei uns, sondern auch im Umgang mit anderen Gästen, wie herzlich hier gearbeitet wird. Mehrfach wurde nachgefragt, ob alles in Ordnung sei und ob wir noch Wünsche hätten. Nach der reichhaltigen Vorspeise waren wir eigentlich schon fast satt, trotzdem konnten wir die leckeren Hauptgerichte nicht stehen lassen. Zum Abschluss wurden wir beim Bezahlen sogar noch gefragt, ob wir einen Verdauungs-Ouzo möchten – eine tolle Geste, die den gelungenen Abend perfekt abgerundet hat. Einen kleinen Kritikpunkt habe ich dennoch: Am Eingangsbereich befand sich ein Duftstecker in der Steckdose. Sowohl beim Hineingehen als auch beim Verlassen des Restaurants fiel uns der Geruch auf. Für meinen Geschmack erinnerte er etwas an einen Toilettenduft. Das ist natürlich Geschmackssache und nur eine Kleinigkeit, die den insgesamt sehr positiven Eindruck nicht geschmälert hat. Vielen Dank für den schönen Abend. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder und können dieses Restaurant uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Wer gutes griechisches Essen, große Portionen, freundlichen Service und eine gemütliche, traditionelle Atmosphäre schätzt, ist hier genau richtig. Macht bitte genauso weiter! 🇬🇷😊🍽️

Wer die reichhaltige griechische Küche genießen möchte, sollte unbedingt dort vorbeischauen. Die Atmosphäre ist sehr freundlich und der Service tadellos! Mein Freund, immer wieder super gemacht!

Wir hatten uns in dem Restaurant mit Bekannten zum Abendessen getroffen. Das Ambiente ist wirklich sehr altbacken. Die Einrichtung benötigt dringend eine Auffrischung. Das Essen überzeugte leider gar nicht. Die Qualität vom Fleisch eher minderwertig und auch der Rest unterer Durchschnitt.

Essen sehr gut, könnte aber mal modernisiert werden.

​Wer sehr gutes griechisches Essen sucht, ist hier richtig. Die Auswahl an Vorspeisen ist fantastisch – besonders der hausgemachte Tzatziki und die gegrillten Peperoni. Das Gyros war perfekt gewürzt, außen schön kross und innen trotzdem saftig. Tolles Ambiente und sehr aufmerksamer Service. Hunde erlaubt, sehr hundefreundlich!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ein wahrhaft authentisches griechisches Esserlebnis! Das Essen war außergewöhnlich, voller reichhaltiger mediterraner Aromen und eindeutig mit hochwertigen Zutaten zubereitet. Man spürt den kretischen Einfluss – einfache, ehrliche Gerichte, perfekt zubereitet und wunderschön angerichtet. Der Service war herzlich und zuvorkommend, sodass wir uns vom ersten Moment an wie zu Hause fühlten. Die Atmosphäre war entspannt und typisch griechisch, genau so, wie man es sich von einem griechischen Restaurantbesuch wünscht. Wenn Sie authentische griechische Küche mit Herz, Tradition und herzlicher Gastfreundschaft suchen, ist dieses Restaurant ein absolutes Muss. Wir kommen ganz bestimmt wieder!

Das Essen war wirklich lecker, der Service aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Daß sich vermutlich so mancher am 80er Jahre Ambiente stößt, ist nicht verwunderlich. Auch das Geschirr mit div. Schrammen gehört dringend ausgetauscht. Dank der familiären Atmosphäre und dem wirklich guten Essen kann man vermutlich die Stammkunden halten - ob das für die nächsten Jahre reicht?

Sicher einer der besten Griechen in der Gegend. Das Stifado ist eine klasse für sich. Auch der Zaziki und der Krautsalat sind sehr lecker. Der Service und die Besitzer sind super nett und aufmerksam. Hier kann man wirklich super gut grieschich essen.

Es war der erste Besuch. Das Essen war lecker. Das gesamte Team,welches bedient hat, war sehr sehr freundlich. Das Restaurant samt Einrichtung ist in die Jahre gekommen. Da wären Verbesserungen nötig, damit man sich richtig wohlfühlt. Aber die nette Art, schon beim Empfang, ließ einen darüber hinwegsehen.

Unsere Familie war vor ein paar Wochen hier, genauer gesagt an einem Sonntagabend, nachdem wir für das Wochenende reserviert hatten (eine Reservierung ist hier empfehlenswert). Wir fanden einen schönen Tisch links im Lokal und wurden gleich zu Beginn mit kostenlosen Gläsern gekühltem Ouzo begrüßt. Super! Wir kamen mit verschiedenen Angestellten ins Gespräch und konnten unser Griechisch, das wir vor vielen Jahren in der Nähe von Athen gelernt hatten, etwas auffrischen. Jeder von uns bestellte etwas anderes, und wir genossen die Authentizität der griechischen Küche sehr. Ich hatte eine köstliche Lammhaxe mit Bratkartoffeln (keine Pommes!), nachdem mir zuvor ein Salat, hauptsächlich aus Weißkohl, angeboten worden war. Während des gesamten Essens war der Service ausgezeichnet und freundlich, und wir hatten immer wieder Gelegenheit, Griechisch zu üben. Als wir schließlich erwähnten, dass jemand aus unserer Gruppe Geburtstag hatte, kam die Dame (die Besitzerin?) und sang ein Geburtstagsständchen auf Griechisch. Sehr rührend! Wir rundeten unser Essen und unseren schönen Besuch mit einer weiteren Runde Ouzo für die Erwachsenen ab. Großartig! Wir kommen wieder UND werden es weiterempfehlen. Absolut empfehlenswert.

Das beste griechische Restaurant weit und breit 🤟😎 Ein herzlicher Ort mit fantastischem Essen und Menschen, bei denen man sich sofort wie zu Hause fühlt. Nicht nur der Geschmack überzeugt, sondern auch die authentische, unprätentiöse Atmosphäre. Hier wird das Essen mit Werten wie Geselligkeit, Gleichberechtigung und Respekt serviert. Ein kleiner Beweis dafür, dass es noch Orte gibt, an denen der Mensch im Mittelpunkt steht.

Seit über 40 Jahren immer wieder ein Genuss

Wir sind eigentlich Stammgäste. Sind letzte Woche aus dem Urlaub gekommen und direkt nach Metzholz.Beim letzten Mal waren wir schon sehr enttäuscht gewesen. Aber das war jetzt der Hammer.Hatte einen Teller bestellt mit Gyros und einen Spieß.Die Portion war eine Frechheit. Eine Hand voll Pommes und der Gyros war leider auch nicht mehr. Quasi eine Kinderportion. Sehr schade. Aber wir werden uns leider mal wo anders umschauen.

In my opinion, the Akropolis is very lucky that there are no direct competitors in the surrounding area. A new restaurant opening with this standard would fail miserably. At some point, an entrepreneur will have to invest money and replace the 20-year-old camping tables outside in the beer garden with new ones. A lantern or something similar on the tables would be nice. Well, we're thankful the tables weren't covered with plastic tablecloths. Covering the prices on the menu with white labels is a no-go and reminds you of a chip shop. Unfortunately, the prices have increased and the portions have become smaller. Very unfortunate! The service is very attentive and the food is good.

Absolutely recommended! You are looked after lovingly and friendly and the food tastes just as you would expect it to in a Greek restaurant. Children and dogs are welcome here, there are enough parking spaces and the prices are absolutely fair. We come regularly now!

We had a wonderful evening at the Acropolis. It was our first visit there as we were looking for THE Greek restaurant. Our list of tests was already long, none of them were really good. But here, WOW! Everything is right there. It was really super delicious and I would say it was all homemade. The service was first class and the ambience is exactly how it should be at a traditional Greek restaurant. I would say things are “old school” here. Where the boss comes to the table, a real candle burns and people ask if it tastes good. Absolutely fair price. The two of us drank and ate very, very well (super red wine by the way) and paid 100 euros. The food was excellent, all starters and main courses were so delicious and really in sufficient quantities. Beforehand there was an aperitif on the house. Unfortunately I don't have any photos because the evening was so beautiful that I like to leave my cell phone in my pocket. Thanks to the great service, you felt like you were part of you. ❤️

Gladly again! We reserved a table based on a recommendation. Here's a plus point: The phone call was without annoying and loud background noise (which is unfortunately not the case almost everywhere) and you could clearly understand the gentleman on the phone. The service is really great, very polite and accommodating. The food came very quickly and was really damn tasty! The portions are reasonable and the prices are absolutely fair! There is a quiet and relaxed atmosphere there, where you can definitely have a nice meal. Finally a shop where there is no rush! Highly recommended!

The food is still good and plentiful. However, the prices are now at the upper level and...... there is no longer any ouzo on the house at the end. This used to be a generous, unifying gesture.

Really great restaurant! From entering to leaving, top service, super friendly and attentive. You'll be happy to come back there. In addition to the “typical” dishes, there is also “real” regional cuisine on offer. All of our dishes came to the table quickly, hot and particularly tasty. My special plate with liver (I love liver and have rarely had such good liver, really on point!!!) and various other meats was spicy and perfectly seasoned. Price-performance ratio absolutely ok, between 30 and 40€ per person if you don't take a starter and don't drink too much. You'll be happy to come back :)

Dimitra, the waitress was very attentive and accommodating. The dishes were attractive and lovingly prepared. Very tasty and great ambience. If you like Greek food, you should come here.

I deducted one point for the staff because not everyone speaks German and unfortunately something is missing. But the cuisine is excellent and the whole thing is good value for money. We'd be happy to come back when we're in the area again.

Unfortunately no longer recommended! The price-performance ratio is not okay at all. The lamb dish from the oven, gratinated with 2 teaspoons of cheese, contained 4 small pieces of lamb, but lots of rice noodles and all for €18.50!! Also pretty bland Taste. It doesn't work at all. This is already a rip-off. There are much better Greeks in the area. We won't be coming back.

I'm honest, the taste is great, no question. Price performance absolutely underground. The grill plate is more like a children's portion, but for €20 you can definitely expect more. A handful of fries, mini meatballs, the portion of gyros was hidden under the skewer and fit on a fork. It's a shame because it's a very cozy restaurant and the food tastes really great. I have to mention that in the picture I attached a small piece of the skewer has already been eaten, but it doesn't make the roast greasy either.

We haven't been guests here for a long time, which is a real shame as we found out today! The food was really great, the hospitality was also very nice. The ambience is perhaps a bit too simple for picky people, but that didn't really bother us! We definitely won't wait that long for our next visit. Absolute recommendation!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Unfortunately I cannot agree with the previous speakers. Ordered gyros with rice to take away: meat was very, very dry and the rice was bland and sticky. In addition, the portion was very clear. Price-performance rather poor. I can't rate the service in the restaurant.

From the salad (fresh and crunchy) to the very tasty Metaxa sauce (homemade with care) to the delicious ice cream, everything is the very best. But what rounds everything off completely: the super nice service team and the absolutely likeable boss. It doesn't get any better. It's a shame that we live so far away (near Wittlich) otherwise we would be here more often. Thank you

Very very very tasty. The restaurant was busy that evening but we still got our food very quickly. There was an ouzo on the house beforehand. All employees were friendly and accommodating. I will definitely eat there again. The beer garden is open in summer. There are some parking spaces available. To be on the safe side, you should reserve a table as the restaurant is very busy.

Nettes Restaurant, die Speisen schmecken gut, das Ambiente ist schön, der Service aufmerksam. Leider hat man hier ein Problem mit Wünschen, wenn das bestellte Essen von der Karte abweichen soll. So war es schon mehrmals nicht möglich, ganz einfach die Pommes durch Gemüse zu ersetzen. Das ist in keinem anderen Restaurant eine besondere Herausforderung. Sehr schade.
