A piece of Italy in Northeim – a delight for decades! 🇮🇹🍝 The Testa family has been based in Northeim for generations – and anyone who has eaten here knows: quality and warmth are a tradition! The food has always been fantastic and remains so today – fresh, authentic, and prepared with love. The service is extremely friendly and attentive – you immediately feel welcome. The Italian flair, which is palpable throughout the restaurant through the lovingly selected accessories, is also particularly lovely. The view is a real highlight – simply stunning! And thanks to the new winter garden extension, you can now sit outside and enjoy the ambiance whatever the weather. If you love Italian food, you'll feel completely at home here. Highly recommended!

The food is truly delicious, both the appetizers and the pizza and pasta! 🙏🏼 However, sitting outside feels like an incubator; you can't open anything, and on summer evenings, not a single breeze comes through the glass enclosure, and the heat builds up. Unfortunately, it's very difficult to stand there, let alone enjoy the good food. They also charge €6.50 for plain tap water, for example, which isn't fair in my opinion. However, the staff were very friendly; it's not their fault. :)

If you need a break and something to eat on the A7 between Hanover and Kassel, stop here (check opening hours; don't let the hospital location put you off). It's a bit more expensive than the usual fast food restaurants, of course, but also much better. It's worth it; really good Italian food!

We arrived with the whole family, and the restaurant was closed. The website didn't provide any information about the holiday or anything like that. Time simply disappeared. Even the restaurant didn't say why or when it was closed.

Remote but good. We were staying at the nearby campsite and that's how we found this location. We were told that reservations would be advisable, and it was getting quite busy. So make a reservation and then enjoy good food.

I'd happily give it a full 5 stars – we recently visited here for the first time, luckily with a reservation because the restaurant was very busy. The ambiance is very pleasant, and we had a great view of the Northeim Kiessee lake. The service was friendly and cheerful. The food was delicious, arrived promptly, fresh, and lovingly prepared. We'd love to go back!

A very nice Italian restaurant with very good food. We were there for a pizza day and really enjoyed the pizza (€8). The restaurant is attached to the clinic. But there is also free parking for three hours on the street.

Very nice people in service. As always, the pizza was delicious and well topped. The new “room”, i.e. the completely covered terrace, has become very nice. Great atmosphere to linger.

Actually not a bistro, but a restaurant. We really enjoy coming here. The atmosphere is great. The view is really nice. The food varied and fresh. The drinks are great. The prices are completely okay.

I went there with mixed feelings because it is next to the medical center outside Northeim. But I was pleasantly surprised by the ambience, the service and the food selection. We shared the appetizers with several of us, so we were able to try almost everything. The starters were great. In the main course I had Saltin Boccca Alla Romana, which was great in terms of craftsmanship, but unfortunately I didn't really like the sweet sauce. I would eat here again at any time. Nice service, good food, value for money.

It was just fantastic. I really have to say it was worth it. It was a strange feeling at first to go out to eat below the hospital, but the view, the ambience, the friendly service and, last but not least, the excellent food dispelled any doubts. We'll definitely be back.

We had a table in the winter garden with 8 adults and a toddler. The welcome was very warm and it didn't take long to order drinks and food. The food was served to everyone at the same time and hot. All dishes were delicious, perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. We would particularly like to emphasize how lovingly the service team looked after the smallest guest in our company. There was even a portion of fresh strawberries and a "children's schnapps" at the end of the evening at the house's expense. We can recommend this Italian restaurant without reservation and are already looking forward to our next visit.

Unfortunately I can't quite agree with the good reviews. There were three of us there and we were greeted briefly and succinctly by the boss. A salad was accidentally served with the wrong dressing. When we kindly pointed this out to Ms. Testa, the correct dressing was visibly annoyed and slammed onto the table without saying anything. My companion asked for a new salad because the wrong dressing was still on the salad. A new salad was brought wordlessly and rather rudely. Not a kind word! Too bad! The pizza was delicious. The tagliatelle tasted relatively bland. Later the boss came out of the kitchen and mingled with the guests. That was nice, but it didn't make up for the unpleasant behavior of the waitress.

This was the best pizza I've eaten so far! Very good service too. Points are deducted for the noise level. Unfortunately, it was sometimes difficult to follow the table conversation.

In terms of quality, one of the best 'Italians' in the region, the food (both pasta and pizza) was very fresh and, despite being busy, quite quickly. The service was very friendly and professional. We always enjoy coming here. The food is actually always very tasty and sufficient. Prices are comparable to all others in this class. The boss and the team spread a good mood and are always friendly. Here the boss also likes to take the microphone. Unfortunately, you often only get one place with a reservation. It would be nice if the dishes on Instagram also had names so that they could be ordered.

Today we ate at Testa’s Bistro. We had ravioli with basil and have to say that unfortunately the food is not for those who are very hungry. A total of 4 pieces were delivered on the plate, which were also tasty, but were in no way enough. Despite the large number of visitors, the service was very friendly and attentive. Ambiance is also very nice.

This pizzeria is a real insider tip! The service here is excellent and the pizza is an absolute delight. The boss revealed that the special dough rises for three days before it is made into a pizza - that you can taste it too! The floor is incredibly fluffy and simply perfect. The other dishes, especially the starter plate, are also highly recommended. The atmosphere is cozy and the service is friendly and attentive. For me it's worth every euro and my absolute recommendation for everyone who passes by in Nordheim or on the motorway. A little tip: It's worth making a reservation!

We were returning home from Kiel to Bavaria and discovered this great Italian bistro near the motorway. Cool, likeable… boss who does everything with love. Pizza, salad…top quality and very good taste. Very nice bistro. I can only recommend it to anyone who has the opportunity to come by.

Located right on the highway. Permanent noise level. We have pre-ordered and are seated at a dirty, unmade table. Patty answers from the waitress. It was full, a little appreciation would have been in order. We left without eating. But in my opinion this restaurant is not recommended!!! We wanted to celebrate something and were not expected as guests despite having booked in advance. By default, the guest is now considered a problem. Very critical of criticism!

If you don't get a place 😉 you can continue up the path and across the field to the campsite in the arbor. There's no pizza there, but there are good schnitzels. A great view of the lake.

The ambience conveys a great holiday flair! The boss served us in a warm manner and very quickly! There were actually no waiting times, everything went really quickly! And the food was the cherry on top! We had probably the best pizza in Northeim! All in all, Testa's is highly recommended!

I have to say that I was very pleasantly surprised yesterday. Normally I don't like to go back to restaurants where I've already been disappointed. After a long time I went back and lo and behold - the best food I've eaten in a long time. You could say it's by far the best pizza you can get in Northeim. The Aperol Spritz tasted like Aperol Spritz and the dessert was the cherry on top. Fast, friendly and the atmosphere speaks for itself. I would love to come back.
