Was für ein wundervolles kleines Restaurant in einem historischen Haus, mit Terrasse und Kinderspielplatz! Das Personal ist überaus aufmerksam und freundlich, und das Essen ist hervorragend. Die Preise sind angemessen, und ein weiterer Besuch lohnt sich auf jeden Fall.

Es war heute ein besonderes Highlight für uns, bei Euch Speisen zu dürfen. Ich habe eines der besten Steaks genießen können, welches ich seit langem gegessen habe. Danke dafür und für den tollen Service. Antje und Dirk, aus Nordenham.

Der Abend im Tetro war sehr angenehm, vor allem wegen des freundlichen Personals, wenn wir uns auch hin und wieder etwas gedulden mussten, da wäre ein kleines bisschen mehr Aufmerksamkeit angebracht. Alle ausgewählten Gerichte waren sehr schmackhaft und mit Sorgfalt zubereitet, meine besondere Empfehlung sind die Pasta Varianten, da gibt's jede Menge sehr gute Auswahl...

Wir waren das erste Mal dort und von allem sehr begeistert. Wir hatten als Vorspeise Bruscetta und dann die Burrata Pizza die hervorragend war und den Burger. Auch der war sehr lecker. Auch den Service kann man hier hervorheben. Sehr nett und zuvorkommend

Sehr gutes Essen und toller Service

Ich hatte ein WIENER Kalbsschnitzel, offensichtlich ein Fehler, dies beim Italiener zu ordern. Denn das Schnitzel sah zwar gut aus, war jedoch geschmacklich nicht gut. Meine Partnerin hatte Nudeln mit Lachs und war happy.

Wir treffen hier immer auf Gastfreundschaft, gute italienische Küche und gemütliches Ambiente.

Wow!! Wir waren am Samstag mit 5 Personen im Teatro und waren alle hellauf begeistert. Der Service war ausgezeichnet. Der Kellner war sehr aufmerksam, sehr nett und hatte auch gerne einen kleinen Witz auf den Lippen. Das Essen - ein Traum! Und wurden Vorspeisenplatten gezaubert, wo jedes einzelne Teil ganz hervorragend geschmeckt hat. Wir waren dann zwar eigentlich bereits satt, so dass wir die Hauptspeise gar nicht mehr gebraucht hätten, aber auch diese waren köstlich. Und zu allem Überfluss stand plötzlich noch ein gemischter Dessert-Teller auf dem Tisch, den wir gar nicht bestellt hatten, aber auf den sich dennoch alle stürzten :-) Ich war sehr begeistert von diesem Abend und wir haben die nächste Reservierung bereits getätigt. Wir waren heute dort essen, Ambiente toll, Service und Essen perfekt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Auf Empfehlung war ich im Teatro am Esel und wurde nicht enttäuscht. Sehr gemütliches Ambiente vor allem in der kalten Jahreszeit. Wir haben ein Plätzchen am Kamin bekommen. Die Mitarbeiterin hat uns mit einem Lächeln empfangen wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Sie hat uns einen leckeren Wein empfohlen und ihr Tagesgericht. Wir sind überzeugt. Grosses Lob. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Positiv ist auch der grosse Parkplatz.

Essen und Atmosphäre war Gut. Allerdings hat der Kellner am Ende einen relativ unangebrachten langezogenen “Witz” über die Bezahlung gebracht, weshalb ich warscheinlich nicht noch einmal dort hingehen würde.

Angenehme, nicht zu üppige Weihnachtsdeko. Aufmerksamer unaufdringlich und sehr freundlicher Service. Die Speisen sind qualitativ und geschmacklich absolut überragend und das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis völlig on Ordnung

Wundervolles Restaurant, mega Bedienung und schneller Service

Fast wären wir dran vorbeigefahren… Wir haben mit unseren Kindern zum ersten Mal seit langem bei einem Italiener richtig lecker gegessen. Vorspeisen und Hauptgerichte sind wirklich gut gewesen und im Sitzbereich brannte ein Ofen - Ambiente top Essen Top - Kellner sehr nett - wir kommen wieder

Ein sehr uriges und gemütliches Restaurant im Grünen. Der Service ist super und das Essen (Baby-Calamari und ein Filet Steak) ausgezeichnet und auf den Punkt. Uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen.

Sehr freundlich, man fühlt sich herzlich willkommen und wohlwollend umsorgt, was keine Selbstverständlichkeit ist. Das Ambiente, inklusive der Musik, sorgen für Eleganz und Wohlfühlen. Das Essen ist einfach grandios. Sehr appetitlich angerichtet und geschmacklich perfekt. Was will man mehr? Wir kommen wieder :) (Hund ist kein Problem)

Teatro Grillrestaurant Ein rundum gelungenes Erlebnis! Das Ambiente ist top – stilvoll, gemütlich und perfekt für einen besonderen Abend. Die Kellner sind äußerst freundlich, aufmerksam und sorgen dafür, dass man sich von Anfang bis Ende willkommen fühlt. Das Essen ist einfach hervorragend: beste Qualität, wunderschön angerichtet und geschmacklich ein absoluter Gaumenschmaus. Sowohl das Steak als auch der Fisch waren perfekt gegart – auf dem Holzkohlegrill mit einer herrlichen Kruste und genau dem richtigen Gargrad. Für besondere Anlässe absolut empfehlenswert! Die Preise sind zwar gehoben, aber die Preis-Leistung stimmt hier definitiv. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Köstliche vorwiegend italienische aber auch internationale Speisen in einem urigen, gemütlichen Fachwerkhaus. wir hatten das Glück direkt am Kamin sitzen zu dürfen. Die Speisen waren allesamt sehr lecker, toll angerichtet und wurden heiss serviert. Der Servicemitarbeiter war höflich und aufmerksam und jederzeit präsent ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Trotz der zentralen Lage gibt es ausreichend Parkplätze hinterm Haus. Schön, das hier auch auf die Waschräume wert gelegt wird. Leider direkt an der Strasse gelegen, aber dafür relativ ruhig. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Nice restaurant on an idyllic little winding mountain road. Good food and friendly service. Large parking lot. The goat cheese on pear carpaccio is absolutely amazing, and the tagliatelle is super delicious.

I visited this restaurant with a friend, and we were absolutely thrilled. The ambiance is very nice and immediately makes you feel at home. I would especially like to highlight the service – our server was super friendly and attentive. The meal was a real highlight: I had pasta with shrimp and asparagus – perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. For dessert, there was a chocolate cake with a melted center – heavenly! I would definitely come back. I highly recommend it!

Really delicious food, nice service and okay price too. Dogs no problem, parking available. The only thing that's annoying is the road, but we're here because of the food and it's absolutely great. The restaurant is not crowded. One of the best meals I've had so far.

Delicious food! There's a wide selection of pasta, meat, and fish dishes. Note: There's no pizza. The pasta with salmon was delicious; the portion was rather small, but it contained a lot of salmon. Unfortunately, the rhubarb spritzer lacked a bit of carbonation. The server was very friendly.

I was very satisfied with my visit to your restaurant. The team was extremely friendly and accommodating. The food came very quickly and was freshly prepared. You could really tell that it was done with clean hands, which is very important to me. I also think the prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food. For the price you really get a very good meal.

We've eaten here several times now and this is our summary: we almost exclusively sat alone in a side room. It was significantly colder there than in the main room and of course the service wasn't there as often. The food was very tasty and the service put a lot of effort into it. The food is very tasty but the portions are quite manageable. You won't get full. We would still like to come back. The first pizzeria without pizza on the menu 🥴

It's a shame, but after waiting over 2 hours for the food, our tolerance limit was exceeded. Waiter overwhelmed, broken window on the fireplace, which caused smoke to come out, nice if you sit right next to it. Otherwise it was so cold that we had to put jackets over our legs. Other guests grabbed blankets from outside. Summer may always be great, but with the current temperatures, I want to eat warm food. Conclusion - we will not eat there again and will not recommend it to others. There are much better restaurants in Kettwig.

It is certainly legitimate to occupy practically all tables. But with only one waiter rushing through the restaurant and one assistant? We waited more than an hour for the - good tasting - food. The restaurant certainly can't do anything for the guests with their aggressively barking and growling dogs. Ultimately, that was the reason to leave the restaurant immediately.

Super good food (fresh, tasty pasta al dente), great and very high-quality ambience with excellent service. We'll definitely be back!

We have been here for the third time. The last few times the boss was on site and served us very warmly and courteously. We also left a very good rating there. Today everything was different and unfortunately from the beginning: The drinks took far too long on the grounds that there were only two people in service, one of them new. However, we could only see 6 occupied tables. We had ordered an aperitif, but it turned out to be stale Prosecco. Drinks were not asked for at all. We got the wrong starter (ordered goat cheese, got buscetta), we got the wrong main course (ordered beef capaccio with truffle pasta, only got the truffle pasta). There was far too much garlic in the salmon pasta and the pasta with beef fillet. Definitely 3 cloves per dish. We didn't get any new cutlery between courses and had to get it from other tables. There was also no goodwill after these issues were raised. Unfortunately. We're going home very dissatisfied today.

Delicious Italian dishes. Friendly and courteous service

So, last Friday the three of us spontaneously went to the theater after a call asking if there was still a table available. My companion wanted to order Lupe de Mare from the waiter, but the waiter stated that he couldn't recommend the dish. My companion was then processed until she ordered salmon. The waiter assured her that she wouldn't regret it. My girlfriend wanted to order goat cheese salad. The waiter then said that he didn't know the dish, but he had only been busy for four days. When asked whether the salad also contained goat cheese because it wasn't listed in the ingredients list, the waiter seemed thoughtful. He then said something with carpaccio and that there was also goat cheese. Wild herb salad with goat cheese was then ordered. For my own part, I ordered a César salad with chicken. Until the dishes arrived, we received a free bread basket, five olives and an indefinable dip. The bread was nice and fresh. The food came soon. Apparently the salmon dish wasn't a bad decision. Instead of salad, my friend got a carpaccio made of something, topped with goat cheese in the middle and a mayonnaise grid over the carpaccio. Then there were four more piles of a jam-like substance on the plate. We suspected it was apricot or peach jam. Of course the whole thing had nothing to do with the dish we ordered. When asked about this, the waiter rambled something about... there was no salad left. Of course the dish went back and we got a salad with goat cheese with 2 piles of jam but without walnuts and honey and other vegetables. My dish, the Caesar Sala, consisted of a mountain of iceberg lettuce slapped together with some kind of mayo, or was it the dip from the bread. Top with grated cheese and dry chicken strips. After we had been sitting for 1.5 hours, the waiter just stood expectantly in the door, which gave the impression that he wanted to call it a day. When paying with the electronic payment device, he pulled on the receipt so hard that the device flew across the entire store. We will probably never know whether it was still intact afterwards, as we definitely won't be going there again. It's actually a shame, because the restaurant itself is new and beautifully furnished and you feel attracted to the space.

The quality and taste of the food was really great, but given the prices weren't exactly cheap, one or two portions could have been a little larger. Drinks were also priced at the upper limit. The waiter was very nice, but sometimes a bit at the limit as he was solely responsible for the entire restaurant...

We were at the Teatro for the first time today and we'll definitely be back!! A friendly, courteous service accompanied us from the beginning. There were four of us and we shared some starters to start. Highly recommended: Vitello Tonato, carpaccio and fried sardines with aioli. As a greeting from the kitchen: freshly baked bread, wonderful Kalamata olives and tuna cream. Everything delicious! We continued with sea bass, rack of lamb, tagliatelle with beef fillet and fine pasta with burrata and baby spinach. Lamb fried perfectly, fish too. Both with vegetables and crispy potatoes. Perfect! The pasta is simply fantastic. Unfortunately there was no room for dessert, so we had to limit ourselves to coffee. An all-round successful evening with delicious dishes and great service. Hats off, because the place was full and the gentleman managed it all by himself. With a smile! Thank you for the lovely evening 🙋‍♀️

We were there on August 10th. for dinner with 8 people there. Went there on foot from our Hotel Hugenpoet. We were warmly welcomed on site. This friendliness continued throughout the evening, we really felt at home. Special requests no problem. The food was excellent. No matter whether the various antipasti such as vitello tonnato, bruschetta with burrata, porcini mushroom tagliatelle etc. Main courses as well, everything is served at the same time by one (!) chef. Spaghetti with truffles, rump steak, Wiener schnitzel etc. etc. Everyone was more than happy with their dish. Portions were generous, so we just couldn't have any more dessert. Great value for money. Absolutely recommended. The wine list is not large, but there was a good Lugana and for red wine lovers a good Primitivo, absolutely okay. Thanks for a nice evening!

Very cozy Italian restaurant, authentic menu with Italian dishes. Excellent service, attentive and friendly. Starter and pasta dish with truffles were completely sufficient in terms of taste and portion size! Happy again and recommended!

From the outside, the entrance area looks a little in need of renovation, but in the store itself everything is tip top, pleasant, almost very elegant atmosphere. On Saturday evening I only saw one waitress for the entire restaurant, but she had everything under control so well that no more was needed. Extremely friendly and competent, always keeping an eye on everything, quick service but never seemed stressed or annoyed. The food, I had bruschetta and pasta with salmon, were excellent!! Compliments to the chef and the waitress, they did an excellent job! We felt very comfortable all around!

Previously regulars at Sirtaki am Esel and now curious about the successors, who also completely convinced us, service 5 stars, a new employee took such great care of us. The atmosphere is more modern than before, but cozy. The kitchen was on point, the food was delicious, super fresh, is recommended 👍👍👍 a little sophistication in the dishes when serving would be the full 5 stars. We look forward to coming back 👍👍👍👍

The street can be heard loudly when you sit outside. The service is super friendly. But I can't say anything about the food because we only had something to drink. But what we saw looked good

Went to Hugenpoet Castle for three nights and on the last evening we ordered to-go pasta with salmon and dry aged burgers and picked them up within walking distance. Very nice service - I was even sent the weekly menu via WhatsApp :-). The food was very tasty and filling - thank you very much!

The waitress is simply unique, from the friendliness to the service it was like in a 5 star hotel without being too exaggerated. I think that many restaurateurs need such courteous waiters who know everything and provide great service, which is not a wish. Keep it up top top

The Teatro am Esel in Essen-Kettwig not only impresses with its cuisine, but also with its service. The dishes are a delight for the palate, from classic dishes to creative variations. The staff is extremely attentive and friendly, making the visit a completely successful experience. An absolute must. The lamb is particularly recommended.

No matter how unkempt the restaurant looks from the outside, you don't want to look into the kitchen or the cold storage. Weed until you drop. Craziness…

We discovered the theater while driving past and it was worth the visit. Enough parking spaces available. The food was something very special. It started with homemade bread, a light tuna cream and Kalamata olives. As a starter we had the mixed starter platter as recommended. There was everything from octopus to carpaccio. We are thrilled and recommend the Teatro with high praise. Service very friendly and attentive.

Lived in Mülheim for a long time and never returned. Back then it was still a Greek restaurant. Today Italian Mediterranean cuisine. Everything is FRESHLY prepared. Homemade bread and tuna cream, home-pickled olives. From the Easter menu we had veal cheeks with mashed potatoes, venison goulash with tagliatelle and chicken schnitzel with fries. All very tasty. Very friendly service. A grappa to round off the house. TOP. We will definitely come back when we are in Mülheim...

Great food, everything freshly prepared and the restaurant manager Filiz is super nice and hospitable!

Super friendly employees. Very suitable for children. The children were even allowed to paint on the windows with crayons. They particularly enjoy the olives and homemade bread.

I ended up here by accident. We were pleasantly surprised, the interior has a nice atmosphere, very clean and well-kept, and a small fireplace in the dining room provided pleasant warmth. Exellent place and the food is really different from other restaurants of Nord Rheinwestfalen. It feels in every dish with the Mediterranean touch and taste. Sea food, pastas, meat treated with delicacy! Best chef for sure.

Wir sind von außerhalb und waren das erste Mal, eher zufällig, hier gelandet. Wir waren positiv überrascht, der Innenraum hat eine schöne Atmosphäre, sehr sauber und gepflegt, im Gastraum sorgte ein kleiner Kamin für angenehme Wärme. Die Essensauswahl ist recht vielseitig, das Essen war sehr schön angerichtet und äußerst lecker! Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Obwohl die Pizzeria mit im Namen steht, gibt es keine! An den Nudeln gab es nichts auszusetzen, aber die Calamari -Portion war ein Witz und viel zu teuer!

Wir waren eine grosse Gesellschaft.. leider war das Essen zu salzig und der Service kam nicht mit.. sehr schade weil es eigentlich ein sehr netter Restaurant ist und die Service Dame sehr nett und bemüht war.
