Sensational steak and delicious mashed potatoes

Our group (15 people) had to wait about two hours for their food. Then two dishes were missing. When we pointed this out, we were told it would take a little longer. Unfortunately, while we were waiting, other guests were shown to their tables and had already finished eating. The missing items were a risotto and a salad. To make matters worse, the server became rude.

We really enjoyed ourselves here and the food was delicious.

We were here for dinner for the second time yesterday and were again very pleasantly surprised...very good, friendly service, great food - we'd love to come back. The appetizer board is highly recommended. Even the three of us barely managed it; two people must be very hungry! The food (2 veal livers and 1 rump steak medium rare) was very good, the steak grilled to perfection, the meat a bit firm, of course, but still tender and juicy; the liver was super tender, and everything was simply delicious. The prices are reasonable for the quality and therefore OK. The restaurant is highly recommended!

We used to always be satisfied here, but unfortunately not this time. Some steaks were inedible or cooked incorrectly, and complaints were met with very little sympathy! My dish came with the wrong sauce, which I accept, as I don't like it when food just ends up in the trash. The food was poorly presented. The service seemed condescending, and they didn't accommodate the bill despite our complaints. Very disappointing.

Yes, definitely, the food was really good. Before the actual meal, you're served fresh white bread with butter. The white wine went very well with my fish.

First visit under new management: That was a sentence with an x! I ordered pork fillet for €23 and didn't get enough food because the kitchen only served a child's portion of French fries. The salt, which was too much on the fries, was missing from the meat. Additionally, the good old wooden tables and benches have fallen victim to a lot of new design. To quote Felix Lohbrecht: "It's so Wannebe Chic." I've been a guest at the Talschänke for 30 years, but the new owners didn't deliver a good performance during my first (and probably last) encounter. I didn't have the upscale dining experience that the prices suggest, at least. Apparently, there aren't many others either; I know the beer garden to be packed in the summer; today, less than half the tables were occupied. Additionally, there seems to be a new brewery affiliation, so the usual choice between several different beers is no longer possible. Conclusion: I liked the nearby alternatives better.

The food was delicious; I would recommend everyone to stop by; it was a wonderful experience. The service was wonderful, friendly, and attentive, and I really enjoyed it.

Super delicious, I love the steak. I love eating here with my family, and it's definitely worth the price. The servers are super nice and friendly, which is important to me personally and leaves an even better impression. A great tip: always make a reservation in advance, as it gets very busy if you pick the right day. Enjoy your meal and enjoy!

We ate there today after our bike ride. The outdoor area has been redesigned and is very well done. The staff is very attentive and always cheerful and very friendly. The food was simply fantastic. Today we had the recommendation of the three-course menu for two people. The starter alone would have been enough as a main course. The main course, a dry-aged steak, was excellent. Cooked to perfection. For dessert, there was a choice of three different dishes. Since everyone (there were four of us) chose a different dish, you could say it was a successful conclusion. We highly recommend this restaurant.

After a short walk, we stopped in by chance. We actually just wanted a drink, but the food looked so delicious that we couldn't resist. Besides, our puppy still needs to practice being good at restaurants. We sat in the beer garden and didn't regret choosing to eat. We opted for the veal liver, which was truly delicious. Lilly was also well-behaved, so she got some too. Definitely recommend it.

We celebrated our communion there yesterday with about 40 guests. It was truly beautiful and lovingly prepared, and the food was excellent. The service was also top-notch. Thank you, dear team!

In my opinion, the Talschänke is one of the top locations in Mülheim and the surrounding area. We have been there several times and are always impressed by the quality of the food and the great ambience in the restaurant. Even if something goes wrong with the meal, you can always let us know. A good solution is always found for the customer. 1A restaurant - you can't go wrong here!!

Today we were back in this restaurant for the first time since it reopened and we were not disappointed. The restaurant has been tastefully renovated, both the interior and the beer garden are impressive. The menu is balanced and offers great dishes that are beyond reproach. I have rarely eaten so well, the quality was always perfect. The service was friendly and quick, there were no unusual waiting times and requests were fulfilled immediately. We'll definitely come back.

Sorry, I didn't eat there, but my wife today, she ate something vegetarian. What can I write? There was very little choice because the menu was thin. The food was very economical. Everyone else had 2 dumplings on their plate, the vegetarian plate only had one dumpling. So if it weren't for the family guests, she would have gone home hungry, and that for a price of €22. Incidentally, the salad was from the neighbor's food. THIS DOES NOT WORK AT ALL!!!! The result is a big negative rating.

Great Service! Particularly thanks to Natalia helped me a lot. I had language problem but she was my saviour. Calm and luxury ambience, food was really nice as well. Lamp chop and aged steak were the best ever. I am Korean, who might be not common here as well as I have my own restaurant business but it means tastes meet Asian flavour even. Never you get regret. Service and waiters, waitresses are so kind!

We were there on a Tuesday early evening and were very satisfied. The service was attentive, the food (tomato soup, pork fillet with mushrooms and redfish, plus a salad buffet) was tasty and hot. We will come back and recommend the Talschänke. 👌🏽

A very nice location. The food was of very good quality and tasted excellent. We had onion soup as a starter and fillet with champion pepper sauce with fries/fried potatoes as a main course. Bread with a delicious cream was even served free of charge. Unfortunately, it is no longer commonplace today. The staff was also very friendly and accommodating, even though it was quite busy. Conclusion we will be back.

Personally, I enjoy being here and have already had a Christmas party there with the company. I have just booked a table for another Christmas party. Keep it up, you are great

We had a very nice afternoon with a great meal for our son's birthday. The mixed starter was varied and delicious. The meat was cooked to perfection. The service is very attentive and very child-friendly. The dessert consisted of crème brulet, apple cake, soufflé with a liquid chocolate center was a great mix to finish. An absolute feel-good place for the whole family. We'd love to come back.

We love the Talschänke! The food is incredibly delicious. The dry-aged steak is prepared medium to medium-rare and tastes excellent. The appetizer platter is fresh and varied. We love the grilled mushrooms and the dips with the crusty bread. Service is always friendly and courteous. The ambience is very nice and always appropriately decorated. By the way, you can also visit the garden terrace with dogs. A visit to the Talschänke is always a pleasure!

Very good food, the service is friendly, we had a table outside where we were presented with the bill without asking at 8:30 p.m. in cash or by card. We actually wanted to order dessert but after the promotion we were no longer interested and left. It's a shame because everything else was satisfactory and it spoils your future visit.

Food was really good to very good, service was ok. The prices are on the higher side. Wine was ok but I had better for 7.50. A bit stuffy and warm in the dining room. All in all: a good restaurant and a definite recommendation.
