Company dinner where we consumed an excellent menu accompanied by a superlative Ca' dei Frati. The desserts and coffee are also good. La Tavernetta is definitely one of the best destinations for eating Italian in Munich. The owners Marco and Giovanni are very nice and know how to look after their customers with knowledge and skill. The staff is nice. The ambience wasn't 100% to our taste, but that's debatable. About the food: the main courses were solid, truffle pasta was generously sprinkled with truffles, but the flavor was missing (you have to admit that it's not truffle season yet) and some portions were rather small, but the prices were high. The Aperol was well mixed. Unfortunately, the tiramisu was really one of the worst I've ever had and I always (!) order tiramisu from an Italian restaurant. The cream basically consisted only of cream and the biscuit, which seemed homemade, was probably only soaked in milk or other watery liquid; it definitely doesn't taste like coffee. According to our feedback (we asked because we didn't eat much of it), we didn't charge for the tiramisu. So good reaction to that 👍🏼

Amazing people, amazing food, great atmosphere.

I ate here with my wife last week and was thoroughly impressed. The creativity of the dishes was unique, rarely eaten so well in Munich. We were both impressed by the service. It was a wonderful evening all around and it definitely wasn't the last time we were here.

very nice place, welcoming waiters, they speak English, Italian and German. The food was very good, even better than some places we tried in Italy, but at the end of dinner the surprise of €7.50 for a 0.75l bottle of water, €1 for 0.1l, was not appreciated. It cost less than the dessert by just one euro. I understand that the prices are all marked on the menu and that we should have checked, but usually I didn't feel the need to also check the price of water. From today I understood the mistake and that even if they are all nice and kind, in the end they somehow screw you, from now on we will always check the price of water too

I really liked the place for various reasons. The food is excellent and there are also gluten-free variations, the staff is friendly and welcoming. I must say that I felt at home in this place. If you want to eat something from Italian gastronomy this is the right place.

We had a very nice Italian meal in this restaurant. The waiter was very friendly and helpful. We sat outside in nice summertemperature snd enjoyed the starter, the main course and the desert. The wines were also very good. It was a bit pricy, but we had a memorable evening, and would like to come back here next time in Munich

In un certo senso mi fa rabbia trovare un ristorante italiano di questa qualità (e qualità/prezzo) eccezionale a Monaco di Baviera e rimpiangere di trovare con difficoltà qualcosa di simile in Italia o in Svizzera dove oggi abito. Cucina semplice ma perfetta con ingredienti di estrema qualità, menù bilanciato sia per piatti di alto che di medio costo. (Consiglio il filetto al tartufo), gentilezza, ambiente piacevole e una buona scelta di vini. Il caffè è ottimo così come i dolci. Sanno anche fare una buona pizza (ne ho assaggiato un pezzetto da mio figlio). Siamo rimasti così soddisfatti da avere deciso di ripetere più volte l'esperienza durante il nostro soggiorno qui a Monaco. Super consigliato.

Great Italian restaurant - the pizza was pretty good with nice thin dough and the grilled squid was super fresh and flavourful. Price is on the slightly more expensive side.

I find the restaurant a bit small and too loud. I think the food is overrated and not as good as the reviews say. I can only say this about the pizzas, so if I have to be honest, it's not Italian pizza. The salad was fresh and good!

A very friendly Italian restaurant, as good as anything I have eaten in Italy. I really recommend it for business lunches, and the service is very friendly, even more friendly than most Munich restaurants. If you are sightseeing nearby, it is highly recommended to dine here.

Found this nice restaurant and spent a wonderful evening with great food and friendly owners. This family owned place is a must go to when you are in Munich. What a great experience away from the restaurants closer to the centre. We would highly recommend this place to everyone. The service and the food were exceptional !

Very expensive for what it offers. We went there and ordered two main courses and a dessert. Unfortunately none of it was really tasty... However, the service was good and the employees were very friendly.

Hier kann man zu einem zwanglosen Mittagessen einkehren wenn man sich gerade in der Innenstadt befindet. Anständige italienische Küche zu einem gerade noch normalen Preis. Die offenen Weine sind leider kein Hit aber wie gesagt,zwanglos und schnell sind sie. Abends bin ich leider nie in der Gegend.

Ci saremmo voluti tornare anche un’altra volta ma il locale, giustamente visto l’amore che in esso si respira, era già tutto prenotato. Avrete notato che non parlo della qualità del cibo. Poco da dire: tutto freschissimo e di prima scelta. Se ripasseremo a Monaco non mancheremo di visitarvi di nuovo!

I have visited this restaurant quite often over the last year, maybe once a month. The food was always good. My dad was coming into town, so I reserved a table for two on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. I had already reserved a table on Thursday. We go there and our name is on the list. But the waiter tells us that other guests came with two extra people, so they gave them our table and we should come back in an hour. He even said that we can go for a walk or something if we're dressed nicely. Completely unprofessional, dubious and embarrassing for the company. Never again for me. Not the greatest food, but not terrible. Friendly staff but if you want a proper Italian food experience maybe skip it, at the same time it's by no means terrible.

Letztens haben wir dieses echt tolle italienische Restaurant in München ausprobiert und ich muss sagen, es war echt super. Die Atmosphäre war gemütlich und das Personal war mega nett und aufmerksam. Die Gerichte waren auch echt lecker und haben meine Erwartungen übertroffen. Wenn du Lust auf gutes italienisches Essen in München hast, solltest du hier definitiv mal vorbeischauen!

Had lunch here with my wife on a day trip from Innsbruck.We thorougly enjoyed our experience beginning with the warm welcome we received on arrival to the excellent food and service provided by the friendly and helpful staff (especially for putting up with our lack of knowledge of the native language).Bellissimo!

Conhecemos através do TripAdvisor, por ser perto do nosso hotel. Serviço impecável,Mattia e Giovanni,em especial, digno de restaurantes com estrela Michelin. Meu prato,um tagliatelle com trufas negras estava divino. Meu marido pediu para substituir o acompanhamento do Rib eye,o que foi prontamente atendido e sempre com muita simpatia. O ponto da carne,perfeito. E para finalizar uma torta della Nona deliciosa!! Um ótimo custo benefício para o que foi servido. Parabéns pela qualidade e serviço!!

Small but very welcoming place, very kind and approachable staff, the food is delicious. I've been having lunch and dinner in this place for 2 weeks now and I must say that even if it's small (sometimes you have to wait a little bit), it's not really worth stopping by! Overall, I highly recommend it!!!!

There were 5 of us in the Tavernetta. In addition to the food, there is also an excellent wine selection. Pictures speak for themselves! What is particularly worth highlighting is the price-performance ratio.

Ravioli filled with ricotta was good, but the quantity wasn't enough to fill me up. The homemade tiramisu, on the other hand, was awesome. Very cozy atmosphere, the staff didn't speak German very well, but they were friendly.

Wir haben dieses Restaurant aufgrund der guten Google Bewertung besucht. Allerdings waren unsere Ravioli, Pasta mit Trüffel, Fisch und Roastbeef beim besten Willen nicht gut und definitiv keine 4,7 Sterne. Für 4 Vorspeise und 5 Hauptgericht haben wir ca. 230€ gezahlt und einfach mehr für unser Geld erwartet. Der Service war jedoch durchaus freundlich und bemüht.

We went there due to the great recommendations . Even been fully booked they could host us for approx 2 hours..so it started promising. We have ordered two pizzas and a glass of red wine. The pizza was nothing more the ordinary and the wine was the same however the price tag for 2 drinks and food looked like a high class restaurant which this location is far away from it. So in general...a cosy location but the food & drink didn't match with all the positive comments.

Italian fare served with style in this tasty Munich gem. We were impressed all around with Tavernetta. It was not busy during our visit. Our server was a pro. The room is well decorated and welcoming. Perfect for a date or family meal. The fish i tried was well prepared. We would return to Tavernetta.

Ondanks dat we niet gereserveerd hadden konden we terecht. Pizza oven was stuk, maar de pastas waren echt heerlijk en de bediening is professioneel. Aanrader

Wir waren zum Mittagessen hier. Sehr frische und sehr leckere Trüffel Spezialitäten. Die Stimmung ist sehr authentisch und die Bedienung sehr schnell. Auch die Toiletten sind sehr sauber.

Die Fotos bei Google und Tripadvisor teilweise sehr ansprechend und keineswegs Mainstream, neben einer Standardkarte inklusive Pizza werden auf einer Wochenkarte ein paar nicht alltägliche Gerichte angeboten. Auch das Angebot an offenen Weinen unterscheidet sich, keine Pinot Grigio Plörre in Discounter Qualität, sondern unter anderem Lugana Cà dei Frati und Rosa dei Frati. Sehr schön! Wer möchte nicht zu einer soliden Pizza einen ordentlichen Wein trinken?! Der Liebste wählte die Pizza Tavernetta mit etwas Parmaschinken, reichlich Rucola und „Parmesan“, der Teig schmackhaft und auch mittig durchgebacken. Fertig gekaufte Parmesansplitter - dem Geschmack nach zu urteilen eher Grana Padano und nicht wirklich Parmesan - finde ich immer weniger vorteilhaft, frisch geriebener Parmigiano Reggiano in guter Qualität macht da doch einen erheblichen Unterschied. Nice place, nice atmosphere, and friendly service. Unfortunately, the Pizza tasted very salty, I expected more for the price. And another friend of mine ordered a Salad for 9€, but it was too small, just half of a tomato, half red onion and 4 basil leaves. Very disappointed for the food.

Ein kleines, authentisches Restaurant mit einer gemütlichen Ausstattung. Die Gerichte (Gnocchi und Gambas) waren sehr lecker zubereitet. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Und zu guter Letzt, haben wir uns sehr über die sehr leckeren Grappas gefreut!

Italiani in vacanza a Monaco di Baviera e oltre a provare la cucina tipica non abbiamo voluto rinunciare alla buona cucina nostrana, aspettative rispettate qui alla Tavernetta dove abbiamo provato antipasti e primi della tradizione ampiamente rispettati. Carta dei vini molto varia, location bella e ambiente familiare con musiche italiane. Siamo stati bene, torneremo.

Siamo capitati per caso in questo ristorante che è stato una poacevole sorpresa. Il personale è estremamente gentile ed amichevole e la pizza è ottima; mozzarella e impasto davvero eccellenti. Da italiana in vacanza a Monaco posso dire che si mangia molto bene. Cura del servizio, delle materie prime e della cucina… insomma tutto buono! Marco e il suo staff sono davvero bravi! Orgogliosa di essere italiana!!!

Great authentic Italian flavors, not heavy with sauces, but flavorful through excellent cooking and balance of natural ingredients. We especially liked the two tagliatelle pasta with the porcine mushrooms and the funghi pizza. The service was warm and friendly, and the atmosphere was typical of a cozy plac of its size. Would recommend it.

Great italian restaurant in Munich We came here because of the good reviews and are happy we did. Very nice restaurant in the city centre. Lovely atmosphere with fantastic food. The waiters were very polite and friendly. We would definitely come back here on our next trip to Munich!

Went there for a dinner with my wife. The restaurant has a nice location, close to the city center. Some tables are outside, on the sidewalk. The waiters are really very friendly and speak good English. Unfortunately, our meals were not great at all for an Italian restaurant. A salad of a single supermarket tomato and three slices of onion costs 7.50 euros. The pizzas were big but tasteless. The tiramisu was made with plain cream and wet biscuits and in the end the only good thing in our dinner was the panna cotta with berries. Great disappointment!

This restaurant is owned by 2 young guys from Calabria that have created a very warm, friendly and absolutely delicious restaurant with all the ingredients from their region in Italy. They have fresh creative dishes and make their own pasta while using imported ingredients directly from Calabria. A real gem that stands out in a city with many notable Italian restaurants.
