Great atmosphere and service, but the food was slightly disappointing, especially for the price.

Had an excellent meal there. The daily recommendation was great, especially the Polipetto affogato con frisella. The homemade pasta was equally terrific. Even though I didn't make a reservation, I still managed to get a seat in the fully booked restaurant.

I have rarely been so satisfied with an Italian restaurant. Both the pasta and the pizza were particularly tasty and freshly prepared. Even though it is in the center of Munich, it was very quiet and pleasant. The staff very friendly and competent. Can only be recommended!

La atención de los servidores, la calidad de los platos son verdaderamente “magníficos”. Tenía el tagliatelle con trufa negra. La pasta estaba perfectamente al dente y el sabor de la salsa con las trufas negras era excelente. Definitivamente ingredientes frescos y bien preparados. Para el desierto opté por el especial de la noche, un pistacho semifredo que quedó perfecto. No demasiado dulce, servido con un chorrito de chocolate y con moras frescas. La textura de la pieza no era demasiado suave y sin embargo se derritió en mi boca. Era una verdadera obra de arte y un acabado perfecto.

Since January 2025 with a new operator as I found out today. We were there with a group of 20 people and what can I say… everyone was thrilled! We were served in a very attentive and friendly manner. The atmosphere was cozy and high-quality at the same time. The food is of great quality and brought from the kitchen to the plate with noticeable love. The chef not only does his job, but loves his job! Our group's unanimous conclusion: We'll be back! Yummy…. TOP and absolutely recommended! Many thanks to the team!

Finally an Italian who... ... Knows how to serve his guests ... Knows when to ask the guest ... makes pizza ...satisfies customers I can really recommend this type of shop to anyone for an Italian flair. The only request would be to make the feeling better: play Italian music and you would be completely happy with that.

Wonderful food, great service! I truly enjoyed every item of my meal. The preparation of the artichoke salad was quite unexpected in a good way, with caramelized orange peel. And the tiramisu was one of the best I've had, with fresh berries in the middle of the winter. The presentation was very well done and the attentive servers made my experience even more pleasant. I would definitely return if I'm back in Munich.

All around an Italian to feel good about. You enter the restaurant and feel like you are in Italy. Warmth of service in a natural way. Food is great and I appreciate that you can take a look into the kitchen.

Fine restaurant in the center with wonderful truffles, we would love to come back

If you're looking for traditional, modern interpretations of honest Italian cuisine, you've come to the right place. The store is not very big and therefore offers a great ambience in which you feel completely comfortable. The dishes are perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. The portions are very well balanced. Starter, main course and dessert all perfect. Just a note from me; the triamisu is a bit too fatty and creamy. But that is certainly a matter of taste. I would like to recommend the restaurant to everyone, even for a longer stay. grace

Top quiet romantic restaurant with very friendly staff and fantastic food!!! The rib-eye was perfect as ordered and the recommended red wine was a delight and went perfectly with it. The Italian was also very enjoyed at the table.

La Tavernetta: the perfect place for a delicious dinner! I recently ate at Tavernetta and it was an unforgettable dining experience! The pasta with meat was simply divine: soft, tasty and with a sauce that melted in the mouth. And the antipasti were equally delicious, arranged with care and taste. The waiter recommended a Sauvignon that went perfectly with my meal. The service was attentive and friendly, rounding out the experience perfectly. If you want to taste traditional dishes with a modern touch, Tavernetta is the perfect place for you.

Not great. Had pasta, dorada and starters. Starters (vitello tonnato and mozzarella di buffala) ok, pasta very oily and saucy (not what you may be used to have in Italy), dorada kind of overcooked and not fresh. Deserts tiramisu and sorbetto ok, white wine a bit too sweet for our taste (we asked for the driest). Service was nice, within the typical Italian flavour, but given the dissapointing food quality most likely we will not come back

I went to dinner yesterday with my family, we had a great time and ate as if we were in Italy, the pasta with seafood was delicious, the pizza had a high crust and was well cooked. The service was friendly and kind. The next time we return to Munich it will be an obligatory stop for us. I recommend it

We had dinner during a short stay in Munich. Fabulous Italian cuisine and very nice and friendly owner and staff. Very welcoming and very clean rooms (no small feat). Honest prices. Definitely worth a try if you stop here and are looking for an Italian restaurant.

Capitati per caso, vicino al nostro hotel, in questo locale che propone sia piatti tradizionali italiani (proprietari e cuoco SONO italiani) di qualità molto alta, sia ottime pizze con “cornicione” a prova di palato partenopeo. Servizio cortese e amichevole. Siamo ritornati due sere dopo per festeggiare il compleanno di mia moglie. Da non perdere, se siete in zona.

Sea bream fillet was served very dry; Spinach as a side dish was very spicy, so that only the sheep could be felt in the mouth. It's a shame about the food, you don't go to the restaurant for that. The cutlery is in poor condition: the knife doesn't cut at all. Staff very nice, friendly and attentive. The tables are already at a distance from each other so that you can have a comfortable conversation. The music isn't too loud, which is good for conversation while eating. Due to the quality of the food I won't go there again. P.S.: the coffee (also capuccino) was bitter, but I didn't include that in the rating above as it is often the case in Germany.

Very nice service but unfortunately that was it. The quality of the food we consumed was not good. Two cold eggplant slices with a small pile of lukewarm goat cheese for €20 is definitely a statement. Unfortunately, the two pizzas that followed were only mediocre. Too bad.

Delicious pizza! The filling tasted very fresh: tomato, basil and cheese. The vegetable soup was also tasty. The linguini was ok. Very friendly staff.

Gemütlicher Gastraum. Sehr freundlicher und zuvorkommender Service. Kleine, aber feine Speisenauswahl. Die Dorade mit Trüffeln war ausgezeichnet. Auch die Nachtische waren ein Gedicht. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

My wife and I had dinner in this restaurant, we went without booking, we were welcomed very well and seated at a table near the window, we shared a starter, grilled smoked provola, very good. as the main course we had the meat and my wife the pasta, all very filling. the staff were friendly and helpful. Il locale offre piatti molto variegati e la gentilezza dello staff mi fa sentire come se fossi a casa. Ristorante assolutamente consigliato e,per di più, in posizione centrale.

Company dinner where we consumed an excellent menu accompanied by a superlative Ca' dei Frati. The desserts and coffee are also good. La Tavernetta is definitely one of the best destinations for eating Italian in Munich. The owners Marco and Giovanni are very nice and know how to look after their customers with knowledge and skill. The staff is nice. The ambience wasn't 100% to our taste, but that's debatable. About the food: the main courses were solid, truffle pasta was generously sprinkled with truffles, but the flavor was missing (you have to admit that it's not truffle season yet) and some portions were rather small, but the prices were high. The Aperol was well mixed. Unfortunately, the tiramisu was really one of the worst I've ever had and I always (!) order tiramisu from an Italian restaurant. The cream basically consisted only of cream and the biscuit, which seemed homemade, was probably only soaked in milk or other watery liquid; it definitely doesn't taste like coffee. According to our feedback (we asked because we didn't eat much of it), we didn't charge for the tiramisu. So good reaction to that 👍🏼

Amazing people, amazing food, great atmosphere.

I ate here with my wife last week and was thoroughly impressed. The creativity of the dishes was unique, rarely eaten so well in Munich. We were both impressed by the service. It was a wonderful evening all around and it definitely wasn't the last time we were here.

very nice place, welcoming waiters, they speak English, Italian and German. The food was very good, even better than some places we tried in Italy, but at the end of dinner the surprise of €7.50 for a 0.75l bottle of water, €1 for 0.1l, was not appreciated. It cost less than the dessert by just one euro. I understand that the prices are all marked on the menu and that we should have checked, but usually I didn't feel the need to also check the price of water. From today I understood the mistake and that even if they are all nice and kind, in the end they somehow screw you, from now on we will always check the price of water too

I really liked the place for various reasons. The food is excellent and there are also gluten-free variations, the staff is friendly and welcoming. I must say that I felt at home in this place. If you want to eat something from Italian gastronomy this is the right place.

We had a very nice Italian meal in this restaurant. The waiter was very friendly and helpful. We sat outside in nice summertemperature snd enjoyed the starter, the main course and the desert. The wines were also very good. It was a bit pricy, but we had a memorable evening, and would like to come back here next time in Munich

In un certo senso mi fa rabbia trovare un ristorante italiano di questa qualità (e qualità/prezzo) eccezionale a Monaco di Baviera e rimpiangere di trovare con difficoltà qualcosa di simile in Italia o in Svizzera dove oggi abito. Cucina semplice ma perfetta con ingredienti di estrema qualità, menù bilanciato sia per piatti di alto che di medio costo. (Consiglio il filetto al tartufo), gentilezza, ambiente piacevole e una buona scelta di vini. Il caffè è ottimo così come i dolci. Sanno anche fare una buona pizza (ne ho assaggiato un pezzetto da mio figlio). Siamo rimasti così soddisfatti da avere deciso di ripetere più volte l'esperienza durante il nostro soggiorno qui a Monaco. Super consigliato.

Recommended, but not very cheap

Great Italian restaurant - the pizza was pretty good with nice thin dough and the grilled squid was super fresh and flavourful. Price is on the slightly more expensive side.

I find the restaurant a bit small and too loud. I think the food is overrated and not as good as the reviews say. I can only say this about the pizzas, so if I have to be honest, it's not Italian pizza. The salad was fresh and good!

Found this nice restaurant and spent a wonderful evening with great food and friendly owners. This family owned place is a must go to when you are in Munich. Hier kann man zu einem zwanglosen Mittagessen einkehren wenn man sich gerade in der Innenstadt befindet. Anständige italienische Küche zu einem gerade noch normalen Preis. Die offenen Weine sind leider kein Hit aber wie gesagt,zwanglos und schnell sind sie. Abends bin ich leider nie in der Gegend.

I proprietari e i ragazzi ci hanno coccolato dal primo all’ultimo momento andando anche oltre la più inimmaginabile disponibilità. Ci saremmo voluti tornare anche un’altra volta ma il locale, giustamente visto l’amore che in esso si respira, era già tutto prenotato. Avrete notato che non parlo della qualità del cibo. Poco da dire: tutto freschissimo e di prima scelta. Se ripasseremo a Monaco non mancheremo di visitarvi di nuovo!
