Mit 60 Jahren kann ich voller Freude sagen, dass ich gerade die beste Pizza Diavola meines Lebens gegessen habe – definitiv bis jetzt und vielleicht für immer. Saftig, würzig, fruchtig, knusprig … einfach perfekt. Ich überlege ernsthaft, sie nirgendwo anders mehr zu bestellen – wie könnte es denn noch etwas Besseres geben? Ein tolles Team und eine insgesamt hervorragende Speisekarte (inklusive der Weine) in entspannter Atmosphäre. Es wird immer mehr zu meiner Lieblingsküche fernab von Zuhause. Vielen Dank!

Wenn Sie in der Stadt sind, sollten Sie die Pizza unbedingt probieren – sie ist fantastisch und wird mit hochwertigen Zutaten zubereitet! Der Empfang war hervorragend und die Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich! Absolut empfehlenswert!

Wo soll ich anfangen? La Tavernetta liegt versteckt in einem Viertel nahe dem Hofbräuhaus. In einer Stadt voller italienischer Restaurants ist dieses Lokal ein echter Geheimtipp. Freundliches Personal, eine ansprechende Speisekarte mit italienischen Klassikern und neuen Spezialitäten garantieren ein köstliches Abendessen (oder Mittagessen!). Wir bestellten sowohl die Pizza Funghi (mit Champignons) als auch die Pizza Diavola (mit scharfer Salami) sowie verschiedene Biere und Radler (die waren ganz schön scharf!). Man kann ohne Übertreibung sagen, dass diese Pizza die beste in München ist. Wer Pizza mit dickem Rand, perfekt gebacken mit herrlich geschmolzenem Käse und Tomatensoße mag, ist in La Tavernetta genau richtig. Frische Salate und saisonale Vorspeisen machen das Essen zu einem unvergesslichen Erlebnis. Nach unserem ersten Besuch waren wir gleich noch zwei weitere Male dort!

Das Essen war fantastisch. Meine Frau hatte die Pasta mit Riesengarnelen, und ich hatte das Rib-Eye-Steak mit Ziegenkäse und Auberginen-Antipasti. Der vom Kellner empfohlene Ripasso passte hervorragend dazu. Bei unserem nächsten Besuch in München kommen wir auf jeden Fall wieder. Reservierung empfohlen.

Nicht das, was man von italienischem Essen in Europa erwartet. Meine Frau hatte Lammragout, und Ragout bedeutet bei uns normalerweise eine rote Soße – die gab es aber nicht. Das Lammfleisch war anders als alles, was wir bisher gegessen hatten: Es war in Würfel geschnitten und die Konsistenz war seltsam. Ich hatte Risotto mit Pilzen, die gegrillt oder geräuchert rochen (auf jeden Fall ungewöhnlich), aber es war lecker. Unser Kellner war ein netter, freundlicher und hilfsbereiter Italiener. Wenn Sie ein ruhiges Restaurant suchen, sind Sie hier vielleicht richtig. Wenn Sie aber authentisch italienische und amerikanische Küche erwarten, ist es möglicherweise nicht das Richtige für Sie. Wir kamen an einem Montag, aber viele Tische waren bereits reserviert.

Das Restaurant wirkt wie ein authentisches italienisches Restaurant. Das Personal war italienisch und die Atmosphäre im Restaurant war perfekt. Das Essen war hervorragend und im Vergleich zu anderen italienischen Restaurants in der Gegend nicht so teuer. Es ist außerdem gut zu erreichen. Straßenbahnen und Busse halten in der Nähe.

Wir haben zu zweit zu Abend gegessen. Die Bedienung war äusserst zuvorkommend. Wir haben einen schönen Tisch zugewiesen bekommen und die bestellten Getränke kamen umgehend. Das Essen für beide war sehr gut und die Portionen genau richtig in der Grösse. Als Abschluss hatten wir einen Café afogato bestellt der wirklich super war. Das Ambiente im Lokal war ansprechend wenn auch etwas dunkel was aber auch durch den hereinbrechenden Abend geschuldet war. Wer bei dem Service kein Trinkgeld gibt ist wirklich ein Banause!

Ein uriges, authentisches italienisches Restaurant. Wir teilten uns das Rote-Bete-Carpaccio mit Burrata, das Rindertartar und das Brot mit Thunfischsauce – unser absoluter Favorit! Sehr empfehlenswert.

Die Pasta-Auswahl ist zwar nicht sehr vielfältig, aber die Gerichte sind köstlich. Die Pizza-Auswahl ist etwas größer. Das Restaurant ist klein, aber gemütlich.

Wir mussten trotz Reservierung etwas warten – das Restaurant ist recht klein, daher kann das vorkommen. Drinnen wurden wir sehr freundlich empfangen, die Kellner waren zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Das Essen ist hervorragend, und die Vorspeisen sind reichlich – man schafft danach möglicherweise gar kein Hauptgericht mehr. Besonders zu empfehlen ist das Beef Tatar.

Köstliche, wunderbare italienische Atmosphäre mit herzlicher Gastfreundschaft und exzellentem Service. Sie haben mir sogar einen Tisch besorgt, obwohl alle Plätze belegt waren. Eine Reservierung im Voraus ist aber empfehlenswert. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Wir können die Gäste nicht verstehen, welche hier meinen, sie hätten zu wenig auf dem Teller gehabt! Beim nächsten Mal am besten zu Hause essen oder in einen Schnell-Imbiss gehen, um satt zu werden! Normale Menschen werden hier nicht nur satt sondern auch von einer Qualität überrascht, was mehr als nur gut ist!! Es war sehr lecker, authentisch und Preis-Leistung völlig in Ordnung! A very welcoming restaurant with attentive, friendly, and welcoming staff. Unfortunately, we had just landed late at night and weren't able to eat as much as we'd have liked (to say no to dessert means we were truly exhausted), so we settled for a simple pizza, which was truly delicious! We're already thinking about our next trip to Munich to see the sights we missed, and we'll definitely be back to try the other dishes!

Just had an excellent dinner at Tavernetta. Delicious salad with goat cheese followed by pizza and ravioli. Everything was great, as was the service. Perfect way to spend our last night in Munich. Reservations are a must. It was packed on a Monday night.

Highly recommended, authentic Italian restaurant with typical Italian cuisine and Mediterranean dishes. An appealing daily specials menu and a fine lunch menu, not too crowded, and superbly attentive service. Excellent starters like vitello tonnato or wafer-thin carpaccio. Thin, well-topped pizzas and sensational homemade pasta.

I went for dinner yesterday, and it was a real surprise. For a few hours, I felt like I was in Italy. The food was quality, the staff was very friendly, and my compliments to Chef Francesco. I can't wait to go back.

We had high expectations after seeing the restaurant's good reviews and the fact that pasta costs between €24 and €30. We made a reservation at short notice for the evening and managed to get a table for two outside the restaurant. I ordered the pasta with swordfish, and my partner ordered the pasta with ragu. The waiter was very friendly, calm, and polite. A good start to a pleasant evening. When our order finally arrived, we were surprised. The portions were extremely small, especially the pasta with ragu. It was about eight pieces of pasta. We had expected the portion to be larger than it first appeared, but that wasn't the case. We were still very hungry afterward, even though we were still full from our sumptuous lunch. We had naturally considered that the portions would be so small, as pasta is usually an appetizer in Italy. But the value for money at other Italian restaurants in Munich was by no means similar. We were, of course, very disappointed and also sad that we were paying so much for so little. We considered that it might be because we were in Munich and visiting the restaurant in the evening. But we still couldn't justify the portion size to ourselves. The food was tasty, but nothing special and not particularly aesthetically pleasing. However, we did find the restaurant's decor very nice, and the restrooms were also very clean. Therefore, we actually wanted to leave a four-star review so as not to damage the restaurant's excellent review and instead write constructive criticism so that the restaurant could take a step closer to achieving five stars and continue to develop. Unfortunately, this was dashed when we received the bill from a waitress who had stretched our patience and was truly rude. After she handed us the bill of €57 for a bottle of water and the two pasta dishes, we politely wanted to pay and leave. She took the money and started to leave. As we looked at her expectantly, she asked if we wanted change and not to leave a tip. I agreed, and she angrily gave us the change. On the one hand, it's normative that students and schoolchildren are logically not expected to tip. On the other hand, the fact that the waitress keeps the remaining change as a tip without asking how much change we wanted, regardless of the amount, is extremely rude and unacceptable. Besides, we would give it to the gentleman who served us well, not to someone else who just came to pay. When we finally asked for the change, her expression suddenly changed. She made a subtly derogatory comment that we apparently didn't like the meal. I, of course, responded that we enjoyed it very much and that we understood that we were in Munich, ordering from the dinner menu, and that pasta is actually an appetizer in Italy. However, in our opinion, the portions were far too small. The waitress immediately went on the defensive, didn't let me finish, and started an argument with us. She said that the portions were pre-made by the restaurant and otherwise she would have to throw away the food. It's obvious that this isn't true, as you can generally increase the pre-prepared portions. It's pasta with diced swordfish and sun-dried tomatoes. The ragu, in particular, was very problematic. The portion was really too small for €24, with only a few chunks of meat. This is unacceptable. We thanked them anyway and remained polite. The waitress walked away, visibly annoyed, without answering us. This is completely inappropriate for a restaurant, and no waitress should behave this way. Unfortunately, I don't recommend it!

I don't understand all these good reviews. The food was nothing special. I ordered "Fresh fish with truffles and a side dish." The fish was overcooked, the portion was small, and the whole thing had no particular flavor. The fact that it was my birthday (mentioned when making the reservation) was completely ignored. Won't be back.

I was in Munich on holiday and decided to have dinner at this restaurant based on its 4.7 rating. Even though I knew that one must always discount the ratings on Google by 0.5 or so, boy was I wrong about this restaurant. Either I went on an "off" day or the previous reviewers were too kind. Our party of four ordered two pastas, a steak, a pizza and a salad to share. The two pasta dishes were UNDERCOOKED. They were not al dente, they were UNDERCOOKED. You had to put some effort into chewing them, like Haribo gummy bears. We told the waiter and requested for them to be cooked again, but when they came back nothing had changed. The steak was OVERCOOKED even though we had asked for it to be cooked Medium. And it was bland. Mercifully, the waiter forgot about our pizza and took it off our bill. Hence, we avoided having to pay for another disappointment. We ate a second dinner at another restaurant afterwards so that we would not go to bed hungry. There was one waiter that evening serving about 4-5 tables on the pavement and 2-3 tables inside. When we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and brought to a nice table by the window. However, subsequently he was indifferent to our complaints about the food and did not seem interested in making things better for us. I hope that other patrons will have better luck than us.

I was there this evening, there were 4 of us, we ordered 1 pizza, 2 first courses and 1 second course, and I have to say that everything was super good, an Italian restaurant in the centre of Munich, truly recommended.

We were at Tavernetta for lunch and only had one starter each: two Vitello Tonnatos and one Parmigiana. It was very good, especially the meat in the Vitello Tonnato was perfect. The service was very attentive and friendly. A lovely little restaurant, with outdoor seating in the summer.

We just had lunch here. We both had a pizza. The base was nice and crunchy and the pizzas were well topped. A bit bland in taste but still nice. At this restaurant you can sit on the terrace. The staff was also very friendly.

One of the best Pizza I can remember having in a long long time. Well cooked, crusty & crispy but not too much, tasty dough and even tastier topping, easy to digest. It was so good that I thought about going back there with my witfe on the following day even if I try not to eat Italian cuisine when I'm traveling because to me it kinda defeats the purpose of traveling. I have rarely been so satisfied with an Italian restaurant. Both the pasta and the pizza were particularly tasty and freshly prepared. Even though it is in the center of Munich, it was very quiet and pleasant. The staff very friendly and competent. Can only be recommended!

La atención de los servidores, la calidad de los platos son verdaderamente “magníficos”. Tenía el tagliatelle con trufa negra. La pasta estaba perfectamente al dente y el sabor de la salsa con las trufas negras era excelente. Definitivamente ingredientes frescos y bien preparados. Para el desierto opté por el especial de la noche, un pistacho semifredo que quedó perfecto. No demasiado dulce, servido con un chorrito de chocolate y con moras frescas. La textura de la pieza no era demasiado suave y sin embargo se derritió en mi boca. Era una verdadera obra de arte y un acabado perfecto.

Since January 2025 with a new operator as I found out today. We were there with a group of 20 people and what can I say… everyone was thrilled! We were served in a very attentive and friendly manner. The atmosphere was cozy and high-quality at the same time. The food is of great quality and brought from the kitchen to the plate with noticeable love. The chef not only does his job, but loves his job! Our group's unanimous conclusion: We'll be back! Yummy…. TOP and absolutely recommended! Many thanks to the team!

Finally an Italian who... ... Knows how to serve his guests ... Knows when to ask the guest ... makes pizza ...satisfies customers I can really recommend this type of shop to anyone for an Italian flair. The only request would be to make the feeling better: play Italian music and you would be completely happy with that.

Wonderful food, great service! I truly enjoyed every item of my meal. The preparation of the artichoke salad was quite unexpected in a good way, with caramelized orange peel. And the tiramisu was one of the best I've had, with fresh berries in the middle of the winter. The presentation was very well done and the attentive servers made my experience even more pleasant. I would definitely return if I'm back in Munich.

If you're looking for traditional, modern interpretations of honest Italian cuisine, you've come to the right place. The store is not very big and therefore offers a great ambience in which you feel completely comfortable. The dishes are perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. The portions are very well balanced. Starter, main course and dessert all perfect. Just a note from me; the triamisu is a bit too fatty and creamy. But that is certainly a matter of taste. I would like to recommend the restaurant to everyone, even for a longer stay. grace
