Leckeres Essen & nette Bedienung

Hier sitzt man sehr gemütlich und ruhig im Sommer. Das Essen ist sehr lecker, Service super freundlich. Kartenzahlung möglich, lediglich Trinkgeld geht nur Bar.

Wir gehen schon seit fast 30 Jahren hier immer wieder mal Essen! Es ist durchgehend lecker und auch preislich völlig im Rahmen! Sehr zu empfehlen!

Sehr lecker. Tzatziki ist normalerweise nicht mein Ding aber hier war es so gut aufbereitet, dass mein Teller am Ende leer war. Lamm war auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen

Wie immer sehr lecker und sehr freundlicher Service...

Hatte einen Taxi Teller und Currywurst Pommes bestellt. Taxi Teller 16 Euro, praktisch ein großer Gyros Teller und eine Currywurst extra. Dafür hab ich aber weniger Gyros bekommen und weniger Pommes dafür, dass dann die Wurst dabei war. Trotzdem dann der Aufpreis…. Bei der Currywurst war nämlich die Pommes in der Box mit drinnen, beim Gyros war die extra in ner Box dabei und das war deutlich weniger. Hatte ohne Zwiebeln bestellt, die waren dann trotzdem drauf… Essen war dennoch lecker.

Sehr leckeres Essen. Vor allem die Garnelen (nur dienstags) sind toll. Trotz des Imbiss Charakters am Eingang ist der Sitzbereich sehr stilvoll eingerichtet. Auch der Service ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Meine Frau hatte ein kleines Gyros und ich ein großes. Der einzige Unterschied war großer Teller und kleiner Teller echt traurig man wird nicht mal von der kleinen Portion satt. Dann ist es auch unglaublich laut da. Bin viele Jahre dort essen gegangenen es war jetzt das letzte Mal schade.

Seit Jahrzehnten eine gute Adresse. War lange nicht dort, doch seit 3 Wochen jetzt wieder heufiger. Gutes Essen macht glücklich....

Wir waren an einem Sonntagabend dort essen, überraschenderweise gab es dort Tagesgerichte ich hatte norwegischen Skrei und der war echt super, sehr zu empfehlen.

Man wird schnell und zuvorkommend bedient. Das Essen ist stets lecker. Wir werden immer wieder kommen.

Ich war gestern zum erstenmal hier in Hennef in der Tarverne Plaka und ich muss sagen es war schön. Es hat den Charme von einen Imbiss mit Tischen jedoch ein herzliches Personal und eine gute Küche zu fairen Preisen. Der Laden war am Samstag Abend voll und wir waren froh das wir auch reserviert haben. Die Rote Beete mit Knoblauch war schon mal ein guter Start aber das Gyros war kross und lecker so wie ich es mag. Ich komme gerne wieder den die beiden Grill Teller sahen gut aus.

Unser Lieblingsrestaurant in Hennef. Hier fühlt man sich zu Hause. Danke an das Team von Taverne Plaka für all das gute Essen und den guten Service.

We love the appetizer platter, option 3. The homemade dips are incredibly delicious. From walnut and garlic to eggplant dip and tzatziki—simply fantastic, fresh, and something special. The fries are fresh, not frozen. Even the ketchup tastes better than usual. Overall, the owner pays close attention to high-quality ingredients. For example, they don't serve cheap olives, but ones that actually taste good. The coleslaw isn't from a five-liter bucket, but is made from scratch, and so on. The service today was very friendly and quick, even though the place was packed.

The best Greek restaurant for miles around. The food is fantastic, the owners are incredibly friendly, and the location is perfect. Plus, the prices are very fair and there's good parking nearby.

The fries and gyros were a bit dry, but the appetizers were good. The servers are friendly and the atmosphere is very pleasant, but the ouzeri in Geistingen is by far the better Greek restaurant in Hennef.

We were there in the evening on "Shrimp Tuesday." We got a spot spontaneously, but almost everything was taken. Therefore, reservations are recommended. Service was attentive and friendly. The food was delicious, and the menu selection was excellent. The value for money was also good. We'll be back! 😊

Unfortunately, our last visit was a complete disaster. We both ordered gyros, and the meat was so dry/lean that we had to drink a bottle of water with it to get it down. When we reported this, they offered no accommodating or apologetic advice; they simply said that customers liked it. Since I was last there a year ago, and the meat was still juicy instead of dry, I can't confirm this. Unfortunately, another visit is out of the question, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Super tasty gyros and large portions

Two gyros were absolutely delicious, and my extra request for cucumber salad was fulfilled without a hitch. Drinks were deliciously cold. The seating area was nice, and the service was excellent. Delicious, super awesome.

I'd rate the Plaka Tavern as mid-range. A slightly better chip shop with service. There were three of us, and we each had everything from a gyro plate to a beef platter to a vegetarian dish. Everything was tasty, but nothing more. I was expecting something different based on the reviews. If I ever feel like something like this again, I'll pick it up and eat it at home. Not that the service was bad, but all in all, it was unnecessary for me. It's not a bad place, but for this price range, you can get something more upscale...

Had a biftaki. Unfortunately it was completely raw and absolutely not tasty. I wouldn't eat one here again!

The Plaka tavern is both a snack bar and a restaurant. The interior is very simple but clean and in a way cozy. The service is usually very friendly (but there are exceptions) and the food is excellent, although it's not exactly cheap unless you order a currywurst with fries. The salad plate with strips of turkey breast, for example, was very delicious and the price was completely OK for the quality. 8 years later I would like to correct a few things. The service is consistently friendly. The food is still of the usual good quality.

Yesterday four of us tried gyros. The taste was a bit unusual and later we had stomach problems. Maybe we'll eat somewhere else next time.

WE ALWAYS ENJOY EATING AT TAVERNE PLAKA AND ARE VERY SATISFIED. HERE YOU ARE VERY RESPECTED AS A CUSTOMER. THE TEAM IS VERY ACCOMMODATING AND ALWAYS FRIENDLY, EVEN AT BUSY BUY TIMES THEY HANDLE IT WELL. KEEP IT UP!!

Super friendly, I can only recommend it

We have been regular guests at this snack bar for several years, but yesterday around 4:30 p.m. we had to experience something really strange that we are still very shocked about today. An older couple came into this snack bar who were already making violent racist comments outside and hitting and spitting on a gentleman and we immediately noticed how much the gentleman and the lady had disturbed the previously relaxed atmosphere. A short time later, the single gentleman in question entered the restaurant, hobbling and obviously injured, and walked purposefully towards the senior manager and alerted her to a physical attack and racist comments and the couple spitting on him. The senior manager looked at the couple and said that the gentleman was her "friend" and offered the injured gentleman neither her hearing nor help in the form of contact from the RTW or the police. Very very frightening!!! What particularly disappoints us is the behavior of the senior manager, as she and her staff are of foreign origin. For us and our friends, who were guests there at least 3-4 times a week for around €80, this snack bar is no longer an option. Because we do not tolerate such racist and aggressive behavior in any way. Who like that? Anyone who has “friends” and tolerates that and as part of the same group should first question themselves.

Wir sind schon mehrere jahre regelmässig als Gast in diesem imbiss, nur mussten wir gestern gegen 16.30 Uhr etwas wirklich befremdliches erleben worüber wir noch heute sehr erschrocken sind. Es trat ein älteres Ehepaar welches bereits im aussenbereich heftige rassistische Äußerungen tätigte und einen Herrn Schlug und bespuckte in diesen Imbiss und uns viel sofort auf wie sehr der Herr und die Dame, das bis dahin entspannte Ambiente, gestört haben. Kurze Zeit später trat der besagte einzelne Herr, hummpelnd und offensichtlich Verletzt , das Lokal und ging zielgerichtet auf die Seniorchefin zu und hat diese auf einen körperlichen Angriff und rassistische Äußerungen und das anspucken des Paares gegenüber seiner Person aufmerksam gemacht. Die Seniorchefin schaute das Paar an und sagte das der Herr ihr " Freund " sei und bot dem verletzten Herrn weder ihr gehör noch Hilfe in Form von dem verständigen des RTW oder der Polizei an. Sehr sehr erschreckend!!! Was uns besonders enttäuscht ist das Verhalten der Seniorchefin, da sie und ihr Personal nunmal selbst Ausländischer Herkunft sind. Für uns und unsere Freunde, die mindestens 3-4 mal die Woche dort für ca. 80 € zu Gast waren kommt dieser Imbiss nicht mehr in Frage. Da wir so ein rassistisches umd aggressives Verhalten in keinsterweise tolerieren. Wer solche " Freunde " hat und das duldet und das als Gruppe die auch dazu gehört sollte sich erst einmal selbst hinterfragen.

I was in the Plaka tavern for the first time today; I have been a guest at Poseidon for many years. Since it is now extremely loud there due to too many tables in the dining room, I wanted to try my luck here. The prices are ok, the ambience is too, you can still have a really pleasant conversation even when the restaurant is full. However, my appetizer platter was thrown together on a regular dinner plate and had absolutely nothing to do with a platter. Everything looked loveless, I know such plates completely differently and that large white beans and stuffed grape leaves are also included, I didn't like the gratinated parts at all but that's a matter of taste. Since I'm a wine drinker, I wanted to take a look at the wine list that you get on request, it turned out that there is no such list, you can ask about everything verbally... But I want to choose in peace! Finally, I was looking forward to the ouzo from the house, which is available everywhere, not just in Hennef - I waited in vain for it here. My conclusion: It was worth a try but the taste cannot be compared with the Poseidon or with the Greek restaurants in the area, but here the noise level is right thanks to careful table distribution and that is very pleasant.

If you sit outside the service is poor. The exchange money is not issued correctly for our benefit. But we are regulars and honest. Otherwise, we can 100% recommend the Plaka tavern

You feel like you're with friends. Always happy to come. The Meze evening in particular is highly recommended.

A small, well-run family business, you can eat very tasty and cheap here. The food is served indoors or outdoors. Only not for the next 3 weeks, as the Plaka family is on vacation themselves. At the end of August everything will go back to normal!

Delicious gyros and currywurst. The fries are a little thicker. Always a big criterion for myself. Got a table for 4 people without a reservation.

Great meal, the best gyros, you can smell that fresh ingredients are used here. Staff very friendly and attentive without being intrusive.

The atmospheric, climatic restaurant. Varied menu, not just Greek. Delicious food, very nice and efficient service. I recommend fetuccini with baked fish, spinach and some kind of delicious cheese.

Friday, 6:30 p.m. Very full. Slow service. After a pilsner we were told we were out of carbon dioxide. The farmer's salad with gyros, carelessly served on a plate that was far too small. The salad drowned in vinegar/oil mixture. Bread was missing. When we asked, a wheat roll baked in the oven arrived late. All in all, the conclusion is disappointing.

It was very busy. It took a long time to operate. The salad had too much liquid and bread only came after the salads were almost eaten. The six of us had the impression that the staff was missing, but the existing staff was very friendly

Very authentic and tasty starters and the main courses were also very good, only the fries weren't quite as tasty. The small gyro is a normal portion elsewhere, i.e. filling for one person!

Were here yesterday for the first time in several months - most likely for the very last time. The "expanded snack bar" has reduced the portions and increased the prices significantly, with maximum average quality. The service is still inattentive and takes a lot of time. When I wanted to pay with a credit card listed at the entrance, I was vaguely told "the device does not accept these credit cards". Not recommendable. There are much better things in the region for less money. Update: the outrageous answer is representative of this entire store and probably says it all. If you have the corresponding credit card logo on the entrance door and then reject the card, that doesn't inspire much trust

What can you say about Plaka Tavern... A guarantee for delicious and good gyros for decades. The many renovations throughout the entire period are really great. The ambience is state-of-the-art, and the service has remained exceptionally good over the years. When you visit, you see many faces that you have known for years.

I don't know why I haven't left a review here yet. I love the food at the tavern, everything about it. The cream schnitzel will probably remain my little favorite forever, even if I like to eat everything else too. Everything is always fresh, everyone is always nice. You have to stay in Hennef forever please <3

A really fantastic little Greek restaurant/takeaway. All dishes are lovingly prepared, everything is homemade, from tzatziki to salads and starters. The highlight is the gyros, the meat is seasoned and marinated according to a house recipe. I have never had a better gyro anywhere. In addition to Greek cuisine, there is also always a weekly menu and lunch. Absolute recommendation

Service and food were good. The ambience is a matter of taste... very spartan furnishings, doesn't invite you to linger for a long time!

We ordered tzatziki as a starter and each was served with a warm roll. The consistency and taste of the tzatziki was good, unfortunately very little for the price of €4.90. A dollop on a plate and it was spread on the plate...garnished with an olive! Our main course was the large gyros for €13.90 each. Big is always relative. We thought there were few fries on the plate and some of them were in the deep fryer for too long. I had to add salt to my fries and found them a bit bland. Gyros also not enough for adults and there too... they could have left it on the rotisserie longer because unfortunately it wasn't hot. We also like it to have a more intense taste, which was missing, there were also very few onions on the gyro plate. There was also tzatziki hidden on the gyro plate and coleslaw. The coleslaw was too oily and sour for my taste. I've had some much better coleslaws. Our conclusion about the food: it could be much better! The staff is friendly and if you want to go in the evening, you should make a reservation. We were in the restaurant in the afternoon and there was space. Draft beer (Sion 0.3 for €2.80) was tasty. A large parking lot 3 minutes from the restaurant. Oh, the olives, where there was a whole one on each plate (starter and main course), were good. We were here because of the good reviews... but a lot of it is also a matter of taste in the truest sense.

The Greek we trust. We have been regular guests for years and can fully recommend this restaurant. Here you will receive a warm welcome and competent care. Even after the renovation, the atmosphere is friendly and cozy, if not even nicer! The kitchen is open and visible, which is always a good sign in my opinion. There is nothing to hide here, so you feel comfortable as a guest. The tavern is also an excellent place to take away. The waiting times are moderate to quick and the price-performance ratio is great!

The food and service were very good. We spontaneously reserved a table and were promised a table with a small note that it would not be the premium table in the restaurant. An hour later we came back and received the promised table. Without problems. After the appetizer plate, which the four of us shared, we all agreed that we could already be full. But everyone had ordered a main course in advance. These also tasted wonderful without any restrictions. The service was very good and courteous. Gladly again :)

Finally! Was worth it! Planned for a long time, finally found time for an appetizer platter in the Plaka tavern. We were very satisfied. Very pleasant, friendly atmosphere, great service and very tasty food! We will be back!

At first glance it looks like a snack bar, but then at the counter you realize that it is a real Greek restaurant. The skewers are made in-house For me the best Greek within a 50km radius The gyros are juicy and delicious The antipasti are phenomenal! Simply a clear recommendation, top quality and taste!

Excellent food in a cozy atmosphere with extremely friendly staff! We have been satisfied guests for decades and will remain so in the future. Price-performance is also excellent. We can recommend Taverne Plaka without reservation.

Wir gehören eigentlich schon zum Inventar. Das Essen ist immer wieder sehr gut und die Besitzer und auch das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Klar haben die Preise angezogen, aber wo nicht. Man kann auch Essen mitnehmen und das geht manchmal so gar noch flotter. Wie gesagt wir sind einfach Fans😍

Immer wieder ein Wohlfühlort für leckeres griechisches Essen mit aufmerksamer und schneller Bedienung. Weiter so! Bis ganz bald! 👍
