The food, service and ambience are absolutely recommended. Orders to pick up yourself have always been excellent and plentiful.

We were in the restaurant today. Unfortunately it was a complete disaster. I can only recommend everyone to look for another restaurant. Outside the door, several customers spoke about the disastrous conditions in the restaurant. Poseidon won't see me again!

Good Greek restaurant. The interior design is simple yet appropriate. The quality of the food is good, as is the price-performance ratio. If you are looking for a Greek restaurant in Hennef, Poseidon is your first choice.

We got food there a few weeks ago. Unfortunately we weren't thrilled. The gyro was (at least for us) a disaster in terms of taste. The meat was tough and barely seasoned. The fries as a side dish were very few and unfortunately also quite soggy. Our son didn't want to touch his portion at all. The salad was dressed with vinegar and oil, but with a slice of cucumber and a quarter of a tomato, a few corn kernels and a few green leaves, it wasn't worth the money in my opinion. We paid almost 40 euros for 2 gyros with a large portion of fries. And unfortunately in our eyes it was just standard snack food. What a shame!

An einem schönen und sonnigen Spätsommerabend haben wir im Biergarten gesessen, der sehr gut besucht war. Die Stimmung kippte jedoch sehr schnell, als am Nachbartisch ein älteres Paar mit 4 (i. W. VIER!) großen Hunden Platz nahm. Für einen Nicht-Hundehalter war der Gestank, der von den Tieren ausging unerträglich und wir fühlten uns, als säßen wir im Tierheim. Da das anscheinend Stammgäste waren, wurde die Tierfamilie sehr freundlich empfangen und umsorgt. Wir waren bis gestern auch Stammgäste im Poseidon, die Betonung liegt auf „Waren“! Zudem wurde uns beim Bezahlen der Rechnung gesagt, dass keine Kartenzahlung möglich sei. Das sei aber schon seit 3 Wochen der Fall.

Update 9/24: I left the 5 stars, whatever. But: moderately friendly service and very bad food. Totally dry meat, charred corners, everything carelessly slapped onto the plate. Cheap iceberg lettuce swimming in oil and tzatziki for more than 6 euros a mini portion. It's a shame, we'd rather go to the Greek restaurant at the market.—-End of update——The rooms are decorated quite nicely, it's become brighter. Service was perfectly quick, seemed a bit rushed. The price-performance ratio of food and drinks is very good. Good quality of food, well seasoned and large portions. Lots of choice, there is something for everyone. The only drawback is the enormous background noise, due to the closely spaced tables with many guests and the sometimes low ceiling height. Still a recommended restaurant. Addendum: 5 * because our rescue in the Corona crisis, ordered, picked up and the feeling of having treated yourself to something in the Sch……Corona everyday life. THANKS!

Best Greek ever...tastiest Greek food, Ouzo and Metaxa personally served by the super nice boss, dogs welcome, what more could you want on a Friday evening. Absolute recommendation!!

Good restaurant with tasty Greek dishes. Large outdoor area aka beer garden. If there is a lot of public traffic, it can take a while here and there. Employees are always very friendly. Prices are a little above average, but that's completely ok given the quality.

I've been eating at Poseidon for over 20 years, wonderful years with the previous owners and always fantastic food at moderate prices. At that time, even in a full restaurant, it was cozy and you could have a pleasant conversation!!!! Today it is extremely loud due to too many tables in the restaurant close together and service staff shouting at each other, which means the noise level is extremely high and makes normal conversation impossible. Because you can no longer understand the other person, everyone shouts... A fatal chain reaction that the owner apparently doesn't see or doesn't want to see because he doesn't care. Many tables bring money!!!!! This has already been criticized in many recessions. The food is very good, the ouzo from the house is great, the prices have risen a lot, the restaurant's facilities are good and comfortable. Everything would be great if it weren't for this flaw! Dear owner, please change that and listen to the voice of your guests and I would also be happy to come back!

Very good Greek restaurant with very friendly service, very good cuisine and good value for money. Unfortunately it is very loud in the dining room, which affects the enjoyment of the meal a little. There is also a guest garden, which is partially covered. You definitely have to make a reservation in advance, the restaurant is always very busy despite the great competition. As a welcome there is an ouzo and after the meal a small greeting from the kitchen. In any case, a recommended restaurant!

Die Wettervorhersage war auf schönes Wetter ausgelegt und so haben wir uns ausdrücklich einen Tisch für draußen reserviert und das haben wir auch so bestätigt bekommen! Als wir nach 30 km Anfahrt dort ankamen war draußen kein Tisch mehr frei und uns wurde ein anderer Tisch ( extrem eng) zugewiesen. Dieser gefiel uns überhaupt nicht der Platz sehr eng und stickig war. Auch der Chef wollte uns nicht weiter helfen und so sind wir in ein anderes Restaurant, dass Qurin zur Glocke gegangen und waren mit Service, dem leckeren Essen und der schönen Terrasse mehr als zufrieden! Wenn das Poseidon so schlecht organisiert ist, werden wir da ganz bestimmt nicht mehr hingehen!

Were here for the first time (very busy even during the week) and were really surprised! Beautiful terrace with old trees, after Ouzou our 4-course menu was served as a welcome, delicious dishes and lovingly prepared, the service was attentive and quick, the evening couldn't have been better.

Today we wanted to spontaneously order something to pick up. The man on the phone was so unfriendly that after changing the sauce he said something about “a thousand changes for the kitchen”. This was just a change and a choice of side dishes (baked potatoes or fries) written on the menu. I don't support people/businesses like that...

We often go out to eat, but we haven't eaten so well and with such amazing hospitality in a very long time. The quality, the seasoning and the cooking point were perfect. In addition, really warm people in the service and on top of that an ouzo as a welcome and a small dessert as a greeting from the kitchen. Discreet Greek music and a cozy atmosphere in the beer garden. We will come back very often. Thank you for the great evening.

We were there with a Groupon voucher. The service was friendly and the atmosphere of the restaurant was nice. We can't judge the "normal" food because the Groupon food is (hopefully "not on the same level as the normal paid food", which we find disappointing. You get a separate "menu" where everyone can see that you " is only a Groupon customer. So you quickly feel like a second-class guest. Especially for guests who initially come through Groupon on a trial basis, things should be different. Maybe we'll try the restaurant again "as normal" at a later date.

Zero recommendation with Groupon!! My table was canceled at short notice, which changed my entire plan for the day. It is of course clear that as a customer you can only cancel 48 hours in advance, but as a restaurant you seem to be able to cancel less than 4 hours in advance. That's what I call customer friendliness! The days for redemption are given as Monday, Wednesday and Thursday but are only possible on Mondays!! So pure foolishness!!

Vor Ort reichte nicht der ausgedruckte Gutschein, sondern es wurde nach einem besonderen Barcode gefragt. Allgemein ist gerade der Chef nicht besonders freundlich. Leider wurde der Service auch nicht besser. Gegipfelt darin, dass ein alkoholfreies Bier bestellt wurde und eins mit Alkohol gebracht wurde. Sauberkeit: ●●●○○ Das Restaurant ist gepflegt und macht einen guten Eindruck. Ambiente/Ausstattung: ●●○○○ Auch hier passt der größte Teil. Allerdings läuft die gesamte Zeit der Fernseher (ohne Ton). Zudem ein No-Go: Das Menü welches zum Gutschein gehört ist keine Karte sondern ein DIN-A4 Blatt in einer abgegeriffenen Klarsichtfolie. Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis: ●●●○○ Die Speisen sind gut und lecker zu einem normalen Preis. In dem letzten Jahren hat sich das Schreiben von Bewertungen auf TripAdvisor für mich zu einem leidenschaftlichen Hobby entwickelt Eine Hilfreichbewertung bzw. ein Feedback würde mich daher sehr freuen.

Everything is right here to relax, laugh, have a drink and eat really well. Feeling good is the name of the game in the heart of the Warth district of Hennef. Consistently high quality and a very fair price-performance ratio is the credo of this wonderful restaurant, whether indoors or in a unique outdoor area. We can only recommend the hosts, the cuisine and the particularly familiar environment.

The food was average, the service was hard and it was so noisy, worse than a train station. Unfortunately, the price/performance ratio here is not right at all.

We ordered food by phone on Saturday and took the menu from the homepage. When we picked it up, the first surprise came because the prices were suddenly significantly higher, about 5 euros more per meal. Next surprise, the salad that was supposed to be without tomatoes only consisted of tomatoes!! With my grill plate I asked myself how one manages to fry meat so dry. The only bright spot was the liver, which was really good. The fries were inedible and the gyros were terrible. I often go to Greek or Yugoslavian food but no one has ever served me something like this!!! At a price of almost 24 euros for a grill plate, I was really disappointed and it was also a big disappointment for my friends. Our conclusion: we will soon spend our hard-earned money somewhere else. Poseidon no thanks!!!!! Sorry, but I refuse the voucher offered. Why should I invest money again if I absolutely didn't like it??

We ate there again after a long time and didn't regret it. Although the restaurant was quite full, our food came relatively promptly. It was super tasty (finally no fatty meat), and also the ambience and the service. service was correct. We'll definitely be back.

Waren gestern nach langem wieder im Poseidon, Bedienung ist sehr freundlich, schnell und aufmerksam. Ambiente sehr gemütlich aber die Speisen die wir gewählt haben war unmöglich. Hatten Lammkoteletts die nur von Fett durchzogen waren, über die Hälfte konnte man nicht essen, und dann für den Preis von 23,90€ Vorerst werden wir hier nicht mehr essen gehen

Essen und Service waren gut. Allerdings waren wir über die übertriebene Preiserhöhung von 27 % !!! unangenehm überrascht. Das liegt weit über der Inflation und den gestiegenen MwSt.-Satz von 7 auf 19 %. So kann man sich seine Stammkunden auch vergraulen. Schade, für uns war es dort das letzte Mal :(

Wir waren wohl zwei Jahre nicht mehr hier, weil die Qualität damals stark abgenommen hatte. Heute haben wir uns erneut gewagt …… Neben verschiedenem Meeresgetier hatten wir vorweg und als Hauptspeise diverse landestypische Speisen und den Hauswein. Es war rundum sehr gut, der Service war wie gewohnt toll!

Extrem leckeres Essen verbunden mit sehr flotten und freundlichem Service machen für mich eine klare Empfehlung pro diesem Restaurant aus. Das Ambiente ist ok, allerdings renovierungswürdig. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder 😊

Das Essen war sehr lecker und der Service super! Einziges Manko war die Lautstärke und dass die Luft wirklich schlecht/verraucht vom Grill war. Dennoch ist das Restaurant wirklich empfehlenswert, für mich in Zukunft aber wohl eher zu Zeiten wo nicht so viel Andrang zu erwarten ist ;-)

Essen schmeckt gut, Service ist okay. Preise finde ich eher etwas zu hoch. Portion Zaziki kostet 5,90 Euro, das gehört nach meiner Meinung kostenlos zu jedem Gericht wo Gyros drauf ist dazu.

Ein sehr schönes Restaurant. Wir waren gestern das erstmal dort zum Abendessen und saßen draußen auf der Terrasse. Man wird sehr freundlich dort begrüßt und empfangen. Zur Begrüßung gab es einen Ouzo aufs Haus. Das Team und der Service ist echt hervorragend. Auch wenn viel los ist wird man schnell bedient. Das Essen war echt sehr toll und lecker. Als kleine Aufmerksamkeit des Hauses wurde uns ein griecher Nachtisch serviert womit wir gar nicht gerechnet haben. Wir werden aufjedenfall noch mehrmals wieder kommt. Dankeschön wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt bei Euch 😊
