Taverna Zorbas in Hamburg

We were there again yesterday. The landlady is trying to do everything on her own now, since her husband passed away suddenly in March 2025 😥. So expect longer wait times. But the food was delicious as always, and the wait was definitely worth it. Dear Conny, keep up the good work, and maybe you'll get some help after all (a temporary position or something). Fortunately, your regular customers remain loyal and even help out in the service from time to time. Hopefully, see you soon.

Very nice atmosphere, great service brings a lot of good mood. The food is fresh and very tasty. The bread is really delicious. I always enjoy coming back 😇

Very nice restaurant with friendly hosts. Good typical Greek food.

We were there about a week ago with our granddaughter, daughter and son-in-law and sat outside. It was super cozy; the service and the food were great. Since we didn't have ouzo on the house at the end, we had fresh melon instead. Of course, this was perfect on a hot summer day. We'd love to come back!

Quite okay, nice service and food at fair prices.

The food is not recommended. We ordered gyros with fries to pick up and it was at most a so-called "sham package". Overall there was only a few gyros in the box. The fries weren't that good but the worst thing was the salad which only served to fill the box. The Turks were so bad that they had to be spit out because they were rotten. The price for it was also a complete disgrace. 31€ for 2 boxes. Only half of which consists of ordering food. Not recommendable.

We were here for the first time. The facility is a bit old. The staff is very nice and helpful. The food tastes very good and the price is absolutely ok. Gladly again.

We discovered it by chance and enjoyed the food here. Solid suburban Greek, we'll be back!

Here you have to wait and get the menu yourself. Ordered food and drinks. At that moment, regulars arrived and immediately got a beer, probably ours, because we had to wait. Food was so-so, fries were limp after 5 minutes, lamb chops and suvlaki were dry. We then sat in front of our finished plates for half an hour and waited. The regulars had full attention. Then ordered a drink at the counter and asked for the bill. The drink was then served by the man of the house, perhaps it was embarrassing that we had to take care of it ourselves. The RG. came after just 15 minutes. So never again for us. 😞

Apparently great for regular guests, but we either had a bad moment, it shouldn't always be like that - long wait to place the order, long wait after the meal to order another drink and pay and only after we went to the counter, a total of two hours on site, while regular guests who arrived after us were served immediately - the food wasn't good or freshly prepared either, it gave the impression that it had been reheated - we won't be going there again Overall we didn't like it at all

Very nice hospitality. As always, the food was good and plentiful. The furnishings are a bit old, but otherwise we can only recommend this restaurant. There are also a few tables outside, all with large umbrellas.

Super lecker, super Nett Empfehlung !!!

Durch Zufall hier gelandet und ich finde es klasse. Ein absolut uriger Ort. Man wird freundlich begrüßt und fühlt sich regelrecht willkommen, zu Gast bei bei Freunden! Das habe ich lange nicht mehr in einem Restaurant erlebt, so stelle ich mir Gastronomie vor. Leckeres Essen und super Service wie ich es nicht erwartet hätte. Danke und auf jeden Fall bis zum nächsten Mal!

1982 hat jemand hier auf die Pausetaste gedrückt. Und dann haben sie das Ding weiter verpachtet und der neue Pächter hat vergessen wieder auf Play zu drücken... ;-) hier gibt es sogar den letzten intakten "Ein Herz für Kinder" Aufkleber zu beobachten und bei einigen Topfpflanzen hat das Beimengen von Ouzo zu formschönen Triebwuchs geführt. Essen super. Bedienung herzlich. Wir kommen wieder, keine Frage.

Gemütlich und das Essen ist gut

Ich hatte spontan Appetit auf irgendetwas mit Zaziki, wollte nicht weit fahren und hatte keine Lust auf Döner. Also spontan zu Zorbas gefahren. Es war nicht wirklich gut besucht am Sonnabend um 18.44h. Ok, nach 14 min. habe ich bestellt: Schweinefilet griechisch gefüllt mit Feta, als Beilage Reis. Es kam dann kurze Zeit später ein Beilagensalat, der diesen Namen leider nicht verdient. Gegenüber befindet sich ein Edeka Markt, dessen Qualität und Frische höherwertiger ist. Ok, das Hauptgericht kam dann. Das Schweinefilet war nicht ansatzweise durchgebraten, die Zwiebel-Champion Kombination Grenzwertüberschreitung und das Zaziki für mich völlig überwürzt. Den Reis habe ich vergeblich gesucht, denn es wurden Pommes gereicht. Natürlich hätte ich reklamieren können, aber das hätte allenfalls die Beilage gerettet. Positiv: Es gab zwei Ouzo aufs Haus. Allerdings erst mit der Rechnung, den Begrüßungsouzo hatte man vergessen. Ich supporte gerade nach Corona gern die lokale Gastronomie, aber dennoch möge diese Kritik erlaubt sein.

Das Restaurant ist typisch griechisch, viel Deko. Etwas in die Tage gekommen, aber gemütlich. Die Gastgeber sind sehr herzlich, das Essen schmeckt!

Persönlicher Service, üppige Portionen der üblichen griechischen Mahlzeiten, gemütlicher Gastraum.

Einrichtungen etwas verlebt und erinnert eher an eine Kneipe als an ein griechisches Restaurant. Nichtsdestotrotz war das Essen einfach klasse und die Gastgeber sehr sehr nett. Waren zu dritt und allen hat es super geschmeckt. Preislich war es dazu noch sehr moderat. Da kann man nicht klagen.

Food was ok--nothing special--staff did provide two shots of something for free so that was nice. The rice was a wee mushy. Staff was friendly and personable.

Personal ist immer herzlich und freundlich, man wird immer nett begrüßt! Preise sind super und bisher war das Essen köstlich. Wir gehen gerne dahin um den Abend ausklingen zulassen

Das Essen dort war sehr lecker. Es ist dort eine lockere Athmosphäre,man kann dort sehr viel Spass haben
