Good food. Friendly staff. Also properly monitored! But recently they've stopped serving lunch, which isn't really good value for money! In the evening, the portions are too small for the price!

Very delicious Greek food. The salad and main course were excellent. I got a glass of ouzo to start with, and another one when paying. I'll be back.

It's a pleasure to eat there. We received a very friendly welcome. The wine recommendation was expert and knowledgeable. We chose a Syrah, which was a good recommendation. For starters, we had the vine leaves, which were very appetizingly presented and delicious. The gyros with Metaxa sauce and the lamb souvlaki with gyros and rice completely tickled our taste buds. A visit is highly recommended. Everyone is welcome and will be rewarded with a generous portion of hospitality. Unfortunately, I forgot to take any photos.

Wir gehen jetzt schon seit 1996 in dieses familiäre Restaurant. Alles ist stimmig, von den Besitzern bis zum Personal. Die Speisen sind wirklich sehr lecker. Gute Auswahl an landestypischen Speisen. Nicht zu stark gewürzt.

Very good food, we had lunch. The gyros was amazing, and the souvlaki was also really tasty. Of course, the portions are smaller at lunch, but it was enough for us. We started with soup and delicious, fresh bread. The side salad was fresh and very tasty. We finished with a house espresso, as we didn't want a second ouzo. All in all, really good and highly recommended. And it's a Greek restaurant, so you know what you're getting and what to expect. We will definitely be back. We went there again today and were not disappointed. The Athena platter with gyros and souvlaki was simply amazing. The souvlaki rolls with feta cheese in Metaxa sauce were also amazing. We will count this Greek restaurant among our top 5 restaurants.

No. 55, which I was looking forward to, was completely overcooked. The cheese was just disgusting today. I'm usually always impressed with the food at Pilio, but today it was abysmal. I'm still sitting on the toilet. What a shame.

The food itself wasn't anything special. It was Greek, after all. But the portions were ridiculously small! Lots of fries and very little meat (gyros and bifteki). The price/performance ratio was unbalanced.

We spontaneously dined there after a sporting event. After a friendly greeting, we were able to take our seats and the first ouzo arrived with the card to order. The food was very tasty, the tzatziki was extremely tasty and had a lot of flavor. The side salad is fresh and with a delicate dressing. The main course was gyros and souvlaki as a mixed dish with fries and gyros with Greek fried potatoes. Both extremely tasty, the meat cooked and grilled to perfection. There was absolutely nothing to complain about. We'd love to come back.

Unfortunately no more lunch. Life is getting poorer :-(

We were here for the second time today and were totally thrilled again. Our absolute tip is the gyros. No matter which version. We had “standard” gyros and Pelios style gyros. Both were crispy yet juicy. First of all, the delicious salad and the Greek potatoes as a side dish. Be careful, this gyro is addictive.

Great value for money and really tasty too!!! Best gyros in the whole area. Perfect portions and there’s no skimping… the Uzo is traditionally served on top. I find the location (a former pub) with its wooden paneling really cozy. One of the few restaurants that also offers lunch on Saturdays. Keep it up⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

There were 4 of us. We ordered appetizers to start until the meat platter arrived. Only one of the group wanted fish (he got sole with a few sardines). The taramas, the tzatziki were handmade very well. The shrimp saganaki was delicious, the saganaki with cheese a little salty, it could have been the specific feta. The village satisfactory with the spicy peppers as well as the platter with roasted eggplants & peppers with optional garlic (for those who want it). The meat platter was all delicious. More specifically the gyro without fat and properly cooked. The souvlaki were soft in texture, not dry, the beef fillets were delicious, as were the soutzoukakia, perhaps a little too salty. The quality of the meats was generally very good. We accompanied them all with red wine. The service was friendly-family. Overall, we had a very nice time and anyone who is in the area, if they don't want to eat, can try ouzo.

We have already been there twice with friends who live in Niendorf, who describe the restaurant as their regular shop and always raved about how great this Greek place was. Oh well! However, the food there is no more "exciting" or "better" than anywhere else, as the restaurant has been described as an "insider tip." Some of the food is tasty but absolutely not overwhelming. One time I had salmon fillet, which was quite dry, the other time I had calamari, which unfortunately tasted completely rubbery. The side salad is quite calm with more leaf lettuce than the rest of the ingredients. Both times the tomatoes tasted a little like they had been “upset”. When we wanted to pay separately (since we had to leave earlier), it felt like an eternity before we were noticed. The gentlemen - very attentive, "friendly" and quick when serving - looked through you. It was weird. Since the store was very busy both times (with mostly local residents) it's not bad by any means. Of course it depends on what you like and are used to. The bread and the sauces are great. It's a shame that the rest didn't really suit our taste. Conclusion: You can do it, but you don't have to (again).

It was great to return to Pilio after a long break without going. And the new experience was excellent. The food was great, delicious and very fresh. The cozy atmosphere with very friendly and helpful waiters completed the night, which was perfect with friends.

I went to Pelio yesterday and unfortunately it was disappointing overall. The food left a lot to be desired in terms of taste - the fries were burnt and hard, and the moussaka wasn't convincing either. The service was initially unfriendly, which dampened the mood. The atmosphere could also be much cleaner. All in all, I won't go here again; There are plenty of other Greek restaurants that are far better.

The food is ok so far, the kitchen does a good job, but nothing earth-shatteringly extraordinary. The portions are comparatively small. Waiters are relatively focused on women, flirting all the time and ignoring the men at the table. Hug goodbye without being asked and appear intrusive.

Don't understand the good reviews. Probably only people who are satisfied with the standard meat leg rate. We had the most expensive pan-fried dishes on the menu and it was a disgrace... fatty creamy mush with frozen vegetables. Salad with ready-made dressing. If this is supposed to be the best Greek in Niendorf, I'd rather go to Eimsbüttel!

Unfortunately we were only here shortly after a sad event. We were welcomed and served in a very friendly and courteous manner. The restaurant is very cozy and the atmosphere is warm and familiar. The service is super good and attentive. We will come back and enjoy everything more thoroughly.

We celebrated my husband's birthday with our family and had some critical eaters with us. We ordered 2 large platters; and it was great. The best meal we have ever had from a Greek restaurant. Everything was super well seasoned, even the souvlaki was absolutely tender, juicy meat and the gyros were simply great. If Greek, then only here.

Now our regular Greek. Everyone is super nice and we like the food.

Very tasty, the food has been there several times

Someone in our family or circle of friends is actually always in Pelio. The prices are significantly cheaper than any other Greek restaurant in the area. Ouzo EUR 1.60 - compare, somewhere else it's EUR 3.00! The rooms are very small, so you always get the impression that everything is fully booked. In the summer months - weather permitting - there are also tables outside. Actually you only see regular guests, the staff has been working for a long time and is very well-coordinated. Sometimes the beer, especially Astra in the "tulip glass", is terribly poured, but with ouzo and a good mood you can overlook it. Lübzer is served in a rather slim glass, there is sometimes even a little carbonation in the glass... Food standard and very cheap. Since you always meet someone with whom you can toast, you look forward to your next visit to Pelio.

Staff overwhelmed and unfriendly with the table allocation

It was ok, could have been better. Personally, I missed the spices in my food, unfortunately there was no marinade for the meat, luckily there was salt and pepper at the table. Service was just as ok, unfortunately I had to ask for my bill twice.

The best Giros I have eaten in years. The staff is very friendly and unobtrusively attentive. Everything is great. There is an ouzo before and after the meal that leaves nothing to be desired.

Very tasty. Came on Friday evening without a table reservation. It was full of people, but a place was found. Perfectly sized portions. I ordered broccoli with shrimp. Service is fast and courteous. While I was waiting for my food, they brought bread, salad and a glass of onis vodka, this is how they greet customers, I love it. Dinner for one person €22. The sauces for the dish are very tasty. I will definitely come again.

Für uns der beste Grieche in Niendorf! Essen immer frisch und sehr lecker. Wir waren mit 10 Personen zum 30. Geburtstag des Sohnes dort, hatten Platten vorbestellt, es war so viel, Wahnsinn! Die Jungs und Mädels dort sind auf Zack, zügig wird alles auf den Tisch gebracht, natürlich gibt es auch eine Ouzo zur Begrüßung und mit der Rechnung. Schön wäre, wenn es wieder das selbst gebackene Brot geben würde, dass fehlt ein bisschen. Egal wen wir mit zu Pilio nehmen, alle gehen mit den Worten, das war Essen bei Freunden, wir kommen wieder

We had business in Niendorf and by lucky coincidence we found this restaurant. It was very busy at lunchtime and there also seemed to be a celebration going on. Nevertheless, they made an effort to offer us two seats, and despite the circumstances, service and delivery to the table were quick and prompt. The salad that was delivered in advance tasted excellent even to me, not a big salad eater, the fries were hot and crispy, Giros was also excellent, the liver could perhaps have used a little more heat, but all in all we ate very well and at a very reasonable price Price, which also applied to the drinks. The small Greek restaurant offers a very cheap lunch that tastes really good. The waiters are warm and attentive, the tables are close together, people know each other and it's lively. It's not without reason that Pelio is popular and very well attended.

We only waited a few minutes, then we were offered a choice of two tables for 4 for 1.5 or 2 hours (as all tables were reserved for certain times). The staff was very attentive and courteous but not intrusive. The food (lunch: soup of the day, salad and dish) was very tasty and the portions were completely sufficient. The ambience inside is cozy and rustic and decorated in dark wood tones with many small and large decorative items to discover. It seemed clean, tidy and cozy. I found the prices reasonable and not exorbitant. The staff was extremely friendly and made you feel really welcome. Thank you.

Service is attentive and friendly, resulting in a solid rating of 5 out of 5 stars. The ambience is appealing if you like the rustic style, resulting in a rating of 4 out of 5 stars. Overall, this restaurant is definitely a good Greek address and we would be happy to come back. If you like garlic you should definitely try the tzatziki.

Wir waren mit lieben Freunden hier und haben wunderbar gegessen. Meine Giros mit Käse waren genial lecker und von den anderen drei am Tisch gab es nichts anderes zu berichten. Essen, Service und Ambiente, alles TOP. An der Sauberkeit gab es auch nichts zu nörgeln (meckern).
