Pizza and pasta – top-notch! There wasn't a bad word to say. The service was all friendly. The ambiance was chic… we'd happily recommend it to anyone looking for that :)

A genuine Italian restaurant, not one of today's common "pizzerias" that are essentially kebab shops. Friendly service, pleasant ambiance – but the highlight is clearly the food!

Our visit to the tavern in Varel was unfortunately disappointing. We had to wait about 1.5 hours for a pizza and five pasta dishes, apparently because there was a problem with the bong. There was no apology or small courtesy, and we were barely noticed in the next room. The dishes were varied – some were good, but the gnocchi in truffle sauce was noticeably oversalted and rather small for the price. As compensation, we were offered a panna cotta, which was nice. The usual masala or espresso after paying was also forgotten. Overall, the service was disorganized and unattentive – we wouldn't return.

A very stylish restaurant, more reminiscent of a bistro. The dishes try to stand out from many other restaurants, but they don't always succeed. The staff is well-trained and does a really good job.

Food highly recommended, unfortunately one drawback is that the waiter should wear a little less perfume because it disturbs the service, otherwise everything is excellent again and again

Delicious food, a wide selection, yet fresh. Not just the usual pizza and pasta dishes, but also unusual variations and fine meat dishes.

Four of us went to the restaurant. Two of us enjoyed the pasta dishes very much. I thought the pizza toppings were very well-balanced, but the pizza sauce was too bland for my liking. The service was friendly, but after the meal, the service was less noticeable.

I'd say we're practically regulars with our youngest son now. The atmosphere is fantastic, intimate, and warm. The food is consistently of incredibly high quality and has never been anything but perfect. They even take the time to find personal recommendations and adapt dishes to our personal tastes. Special requests, especially for a 6-year-old, have always been fulfilled. :-) Our youngest son is also thrilled. On his last visit, he was asked if he'd like to take a look at the kitchen. He. was. so. excited. For the past two days, he's been talking about nothing else. The flashing flames while cooking, the hustle and bustle, the particularly friendly "pizza chef," and the fact that he got to bake his own little heart-shaped pizza. Of all the restaurants we've visited within a 50km radius, this is our favorite. We love Taverna.

We've been to this lovely, cozy pizzeria twice now. The pizzas 🍕 are incredibly delicious and good. The other dishes are also incredibly tasty and good. You can tell they know their craft. It's difficult to get in without a reservation, and for good reason. The staff and owner are competent, very friendly, and attentive. Amazing homemade pasta. The restaurant is a bit noisy.

Four of us came here several times, thanks to the extremely friendly and child-friendly service. Our older child was even allowed into the kitchen to choose his own meal. The various dishes were simply delicious and impressed us all. Conclusion: highly recommended!

We went there twice on Saturday, July 12th. The first time, drinks were served, and unfortunately, the friendly server spilled the beer on me. She apologized profusely. We returned an hour later and had an excellent meal. The beef fillet was cooked to perfection, and our special pizza requests were also accommodated. We were very satisfied. What was missing when the bill arrived was compensation. What a shame! Nevertheless, we recommend the restaurant. It's worth it.

The ingredients seemed very cheap. The food was very salty. We ordered a second round of drinks and had to wait until we were finished eating... The drinks came with the bill... Bruschetta for €10.90, pizza for €14 with unidentifiable grated cheese and garlic salt... Kebab shop quality. I can only warn you. I have no idea where the good reviews come from. Has the owner changed?

I celebrated my birthday yesterday evening with my family at the Taverna restaurant in Varel, and it was simply fantastic. The staff were super friendly, welcoming, and attentive. Everything went quickly, and the food was not only beautifully presented but also delicious. At the end, the entire team surprised me with a "Happy Birthday," a sparkler, and dessert for the whole family. Such a thoughtful gesture. I had a truly wonderful evening and would like to thank the entire team from the bottom of my heart. We will definitely be back.

Always excellent food, very friendly service, and a pleasant atmosphere. I definitely recommend the homemade lasagna, but everything else is simply delicious too. Just to be on the safe side, you should call ahead and ask if a table is available. It's very busy.

The tuna pizza was okay, but the pizza with Parma ham and arugula was unfortunately subpar. Hence only 3 stars. The kids' meals were okay. The service was friendly, but overwhelmed by the number of guests and not well organized.

After many years of abstinence, I found this visit very pleasant. The food was delicious and the staff were always present and friendly. Unfortunately, we were seated in the back of the restaurant. I found the front part more comfortable. At full capacity, there was also a high noise level, which was my only criticism. At this level, this restaurant is highly recommended.

Food was good, but since it was very busy we had to wait quite a long time for our respective orders. The staff is still very friendly and tries to fulfill your wishes.

This was our third time there for dinner. The service was always okay, the tiny table in the entrance area that we were given for two of our reservations was not that nice, but acceptable. While the pizzas didn't stand out from other restaurants, the pasta dishes were well below expectations. Unfortunately the portion of Fiocchi was so small that a Secondi Piatti is a must. Yesterday we chose, among other things, the lasagne from the recommendation card we received separately. This was not only small and not very tasty, but was also characterized by cartilaginous meat. When a higher price was requested when paying than was stated on the recommendation card, we were informed that there were printing errors in the recommendation card and that the correct price was higher. Since the food really didn't impress us and the price was non-negotiable (!) despite the obvious mistake (I showed the waiter the menu we had chosen from), we contritely paid a whopping 18.90 euros for a really bad lasagne and decided not to eat here again. Excellent alternatives are within walking distance.

I had a super amazing birthday meal at Taverna. All wishes were taken into account. As always, the service was incredibly great and the food was again delicious. Thank you also for the delicious dessert 😉 I was even served this with fireworks. Taverna is and remains my favorite restaurant. P.S.: For all truffle fans, I recommend the truffle pasta with beef strips.

A restaurant as you wish. Super nice service, very courteous, who politely fulfilled any special requests. A place where as a guest you feel like royalty. The starters were beautifully presented and incredibly tasty. We were just visiting Varel and were lucky enough to score this goal. We had a nice visit to the Taverna in Varel. The only thing to consider was the waiting time until we received the food. Over an hour… It was supposed to be a spicy pizza... it lacked the spiciness. Otherwise great restaurant!

First of all: All in all, the Taverna in Varel offers outstanding cuisine in a charming ambience. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back soon! From the starter, the really good antipasto platter, to the delicious sea bream to the dessert, the dishes were great. Everything was fresh, everything was great, I was almost amazed at the quality. The service was very friendly and there was a lot to do. The price-performance ratio is also remarkably good. Thank you very much and please keep it up…

You can tell from the food that it was made with love. It tastes intense and not overly seasoned or oversalted. The waitress is also very friendly and doesn't rush to complete the order. We asked for the sauce recipe and even got a sample.

The service was very good. The atmosphere was restless like at the train station, several people stood at the front waiting forever, unfortunately we had a table in the entrance area. It's easy to overflow. The pizzas were good, the lasagne was rather bland in taste. The starter plate was rich.

We were there three days ago and had reserved for today. The food was great! The best Italian I know. They are very flexible and so friendly. With my grill plate I was able to have spaghetti agility e olio instead of the fries. The spaghetti is a hit. Unfortunately we were canceled today, which we very much regret. But we completely understand and wish the team all the best! We'll see each other again in the summer at the latest, if we're allowed. One of the best, if not the best Italian restaurant I have ever eaten at. The grilled sea bream was so delicious and the side dishes alone would be a top dish. The portions are very generous, which you don't often find in restaurants that serve such good food. I would book there again at any time just because of the food. But the service goes one better. We hadn't made a reservation, which you should definitely do because the restaurant is almost fully booked at around 5:45 p.m. and they still found a place for us. Everyone is so friendly even though they have their hands full. The ambience completes everything. It is cozy, modern Italian and chicly furnished. At around 6 p.m. a violinist played live - on a Monday!!! We made reservations again for Friday immediately after paying! Many thanks again to the Taverna team!👌

Actually really good. But if, like us today, you book a table in advance and then find yourself standing in front of the closed doors, it's really annoying.

We were looking for a restaurant on our first evening. Here we came to the Taverna Varel. Everything was totally great; from the ambience to the service and the food.

I had the large starter plate and one of the many delicious pasta creations and I have to say, big praise to the kitchen! I thought it was very tasty and the drinks, coffee and amaretto were also great. The service was also super friendly and accommodating. The restaurant was very full, but I can understand that now :) Thank you for the lovely evening 🙏

very good food in a nice atmosphere

We wanted to celebrate our Christmas party there with 9 people. Table had long been pre-booked. Total chaos, we were accommodated somewhere at the back of an old annex, the table wasn't set, there were green plants on one wall to overwinter, which are outside in the summer. We sat in this cold hole for about 0:45 minutes, no service came and at least asked if we wanted drinks. Then we had enough, got up and went to Emma. Here we would be valued as guests and it would be a nice evening. Never again Taverna, none of us had ever experienced anything like it. This is not how you treat your guests.👎👎👎👎👎👎

The salad was great. The dressing was very tasty. The topping on my pizza was perfect, but unfortunately the base wasn't baked properly. It was still glassy underneath the surface. It took a while for the drinks. But the staff is very accommodating. The atmosphere is fresh and modern.

We were there for the first time today based on a recommendation. There were 8 of us and we all ordered something different. What can I say, the food was absolutely great and everything about it 👍🏼👍🏼 Little tip 😉 first the drinks then the starters 😉, Sambuca at room temperature and ice cold in frozen glasses 😉👍🏼 All in all really great 👍🏼 we'll be back!!!!
