Mamma Mia in Varel

We ordered by phone and were able to pick it up after 30 minutes. 3x pasta, 1x pizza. We would have expected better for the prices, no recommendation.

We reserved a table at short notice. The staff is very nice. However, unfortunately we didn't like the food. Unfortunately the pizza is very soggy and not crispy at all. In addition, the dough tastes like nothing. Unfortunately, the salad was also very tasteless and was in the Water. Unfortunately the noodles weren't good either. We had the spaghetti carbonara. They were swimming in fat, the ham was far too big and didn't taste good at all. Unfortunately! I don't think we will come again.

The pizza doesn't taste good. Hardly any cheese and the toppings are saved where possible. The price-performance ratio is very bad. Nobody in our group was able to finish the pizza.

The pizza has a very thin dough and the salami was very disgusting. In addition, the pizza is very expensive and the salami is put on it in whole slices. Simply disgusting.

Been there twice, ordered various things, but the Margherita pizza (same negative experience twice) leaves you speechless. Just an island of cheese in the middle (corresponds to approx. 35% of the area), then a thick edge with no toppings or even tomato sauce on it? (See photo) Is something like this a decent Margherita pizza (and I'm not complaining about the Gouda)? Is there a general saving on the covering but is there a saving on the prices? I would be happy to pay more, but then please prepare it properly. I can't recommend this place. Unfortunately there is no selection of Tratoria or pizzerias in the town. Then there are mainly tourists on site, so you don't always have to give 100% effort, because if one tourist is gone, the other will come tomorrow.

I've never eaten so badly. The pizza was a puddle of oil, the pasta was soggy and swimming in sauce. It couldn't be worse. The antipasti beforehand only consisted of gratinated vegetables and therefore had no taste whatsoever. It's a shame...since we barely touched the food, the waiter asked "did it taste good?" Wir haben uns entschieden, dieses Restaurant nicht mehr zu besuchen, da die Qualität des Essens und des Service nicht unseren Erwartungen entsprach. Die Pizza war kaum zu schneiden und sehr mager belegt. Die Zutaten wurden einfach in die Mitte geschmissen. Ich bestellte Schweinemedaillons, die leider sehr durchgebraten waren. Die Rosmarinkartoffeln schmeckten nicht nach Rosmarin und der Salat war eher wässrig. Die Gäste am Nebentisch hatten ähnliche Probleme. Die Pizzeria ist sehr eng und als wir schon aßen, bediente der Kellner den Nebentisch und hing fast mit seinem Hintern in mein Essen. Getränke wurden auch nicht nachgefüllt. Ausserdem sehr teuer.

Wir waren zum ersten Mal in diesem Lokal und werden nicht noch einmal dort essen. Das Essen war gut, daran war nichts auszusetzen. Aber die Wartezeit und wie der Service damit umging: 40 Minuten nach der Bestellung fragten wir nach unserer Vorspeise (Bruschetta), die dann auch kam. Nach weiteren 20 Minuten kam der Salat zu einem Hauptgericht. Auf meine Frage, ob der Rest jetzt auch komme: Jaaaa. Es dauerte nochmal mindestens 10 Minuten, bis die Hauptspeisen kamen. Beim Bezahlen monierte ich die extrem lange Wartezeit. Keine Entschuldigung nur die lapidare Aussage: das kann schon einmal kommen. Und: SIe machen jetzt alles daran fest!

It was our first time at this restaurant and we won't eat there again. The food was good, there was nothing wrong with that. But the waiting time and how the service handled it: 40 minutes after ordering we asked for our starter (bruschetta), which came. After another 20 minutes the salad became a main course. When I asked if the rest was coming now: Yes. It took at least another 10 minutes for the main courses to arrive. When paying, I complained about the extremely long waiting time. No excuse, just the succinct statement: it can happen at some point. And: Now you tie everything to it!

Delicious food and friendly service.

We were in this tastefully decorated restaurant today. The service was very friendly and we were shown to a beautifully set table. I chose the salmon fillet grilled on lava stone. This included a mega fresh mixed salad. The salmon tasted wonderful. And the side dishes were simply delicious. We will of course visit the restaurant again.

If you're expecting the typical pizza from the pizza man next door, you're in the wrong place here. We spent a week in Dangast and ate at the Mamma Mia restaurant three times. Every time the food was very good. Whether the pizza, the pasta or the steaks, everything is recommended. The bruschetta with goat cheese (starter) was probably the best thing I've eaten so far :) overall, interesting menu that you don't find that often. Would have liked to try more ;) The waitresses were very friendly and prompt. We absolutely cannot understand the bad reviews here. Best regards, keep it up!

I ate pulpo with tagliatelle, no, enjoyed it! This was the best pulpo since San Tiago de Compostella. Very lovely service. My wife had tagiatelle with fish and North Sea crabs and was also thrilled with the quality and quantity. The restaurant is recommended without reservation.

Used to be good and tasty. Yesterday I had an argument with the dough. Tough as a shoe sole. I couldn't cut it, I could only tear it. The salad dressing was also better.

Were there for dinner, pizza which was quite good and bruschetta and buffalo mozzarella with tomatoes which was a disaster, bruschetta totally over salted tomatoes and mozzarella completely tasteless because everything was ice cold. It can no longer be compared with the quality of the previous owner, especially not with the price jumps.

Many tables were free. But we were simply sent away at 7:30 p.m Because I can only recommend loading 😉

We were looking forward to a relaxing evening at Mamma Mia, but were unfortunately bitterly disappointed. We had specifically reserved a table outside in advance because we were traveling with our dog. This was also promised to us on the phone. But when we arrived, we were greeted unfriendly and told that the boss didn't want to serve outside. No excuse, no alternative – just a cold “no”. The weather was nice and there was no apparent reason why we couldn't sit outside. My friend tried again and politely asked if it might be possible to eat outside. But here again it's just an unfriendly rebuff. As an "alternative" we were offered a bar table in the interior, which was still occupied by other guests. I have rarely experienced something like this. We felt completely unwelcome and ended up leaving the restaurant without eating. We definitely won't recommend the Mamma Mia in Dangast. If you're expecting a nice evening in a relaxed atmosphere, you've come to the wrong place!

We were able to sit outside spontaneously without making a reservation. We were served in a friendly and courteous manner. The selection of dishes is sufficient and varied. The food was exceptionally good! The pizza and the antipasti plate are highly recommended! The prices are completely okay for the location! We cannot understand the negative reviews!

We ordered pizzas. We didn't wait long, the pizzas were ready very quickly. These pizzas were disgusting. The pizza was very thin and very salty. There was far too little cheese on it and the tomato sauce was also terrible. The salami was disgusting just like everything else. The price is not worth it for pizzas like this and I don't recommend you eat here.

Reserved a table and ate there. The order was taken quickly. As a welcome there were small pizza rolls with a dip. This was delicious! What is not possible, however, is for the child to be the last to get their food at the table. Accordingly, the child's mood was already in the shitter. The two pizzas were from Dough okay but in the middle it felt like there was no pizza base left and it was totally soggy. The toppings on my pizza were probably just slapped on (see picture). I've never even seen something like that on a frozen pizza. But the taste was quite good. The spicy salami saved the pizza. The salad with turkey strips wasn't the best either. The meat was very bland and didn't look that appetizing. In general, the salad looked like it came from a bag from the supermarket, only pimped up a bit with tomatoes, cucumbers and onions. The price was €84.00 for 4 adults and 1 child. Everyone had 1 drink and a main course. When you wanted to pay you had to point out three times that you finally wanted to pay. If you still couldn't fulfill your request, you paid directly at the counter. Otherwise we would probably still be sitting right now. Unfortunately a sentence with X that was probably nothing.

Tables were still free where my food was ready and at the end of the song there was hardly any toppings and there wasn't a crab on the North Sea pizza, a joke for the price of 3 pizzas for 45.50€ I would have gotten 5 somewhere else a better quality thanks but no thanks

We tested it, the waiting time was far too long for a pizza, very overpriced and not to mention the taste, we had never had such a bad pizza where the salami curls up, so we advise against a visit and give it a try Better to spend your money somewhere else.

We shared the Pistacchio pizza between two people. The pizza was incredibly delicious! The dough was very good and the two of us had difficulty eating the pizza, the portions are great! Every food that passed us looked incredibly good! Expectations exceeded! Staff very friendly! We got there quite late and still got something to eat, which isn't the case everywhere.

I haven't experienced anything so unfriendly in a long time. The boss is only interested in the vacationers' profit. Unfortunately, there is little catering on site, so you can probably afford such unfriendliness. The food is overpriced and not really worth mentioning. It's a shame that a restaurant like this survives through rip-offs. To be honest, I'd rather fire up the grill...

Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, das essen war wirklich schön angerichtet und sehr lecker und reichlich. War nur etwas laut, weil sehr viele Gäste da waren , was aber zeigt das dieses Restaurant sehr beliebt bei den Leuten ist.

The ambience was nicely decorated with lots of flowers, but a bit restless as there were a lot of guests there. Staff very warm and accommodating. The food was beautifully prepared, really great ingredients were used and overall it was just a poem!

You call in advance by phone to announce yourself for a table and ask whether dogs are allowed in the restaurant. This is answered and then you arrive at the restaurant 10 minutes later and are told that there are no more tables available. When I asked why this wasn't mentioned beforehand on the phone, they just said that the lady wasn't the one on the phone and didn't know. In my opinion, absolute incompetence from the staff.

Super nice little Italian. We had pasta with prawns and pistachio cream which was excellent and a pizza which was also very tasty. Freshly cooked, well seasoned and used great products! Absolute recommendation!

Nice little Italian restaurant. Food was ok. , but it lacked the sophistication, so it was more standard. But it's just a matter of taste. The service was friendly. The prices were ok. , but sometimes too high. The seating is good. The restaurant is located directly on the main street, near the promenade. It's good that there is a parking space at the house.

We took food with us. Two pizzas were ordered and they were made quickly. Unfortunately the taste was very bad. Salami had a strong flavor and very little cheese. Vegetarian pizza was carelessly topped, completely soggy and oily. Just an absolute disappointment for the price.

We discovered Mamma Mia spontaneously today on our short vacation in Dangast and spontaneously reserved a table. We were even allowed to bring our dog with us, what can we say, this beautiful little cute pizzeria is just great, the food is so delicious that we made another reservation for the next evening. You feel very comfortable there because, in addition to the good food, there is also very, very friendly staff. Our nice young lady who served us was so friendly and accommodating that we are already looking forward to tomorrow evening. Thank you for the great food and friendliness. 💯% recommended for us.

Pretty little place. That was it already. We cannot confirm the positive reviews online regarding the quality of the food. We rate the pizzas we ordered as follows: a lot of dough and little taste. Some frozen pizzas can be made much better for a fraction of the price listed. The question from the waitress: did it taste good, was not answered by us. But the lady wasn't interested, collected the money and left. By the way, nothing works there without a reservation. Typical of a tourist resort. Everything was very annoying because we went there with completely different ideas.

We ordered 4 pizzas and one pasta to take away on New Year's Eve. After a short wait everything was ready. The pizza was really very good and had plenty of fresh ingredients. The noodles were also super tasty, service was friendly! Gladly again

Macht einen netten Eindruck. Überwiegend wohl auswärtige Gäste ( Urlauber) mit Kindern. Sehr voll. Die Bedienung war freundlich. Das Essen ( Pizza) Na ja ! Habe von Dr. Oetker deutlich schmackhaftere gehabt. Preise wie überall, an die heutige Zeit angepasst. Man sollte also nicht alles glauben war die vielen positiven Bewertungen im Internet glaubhaft machen wollen. Wir sind dort gewesen weil wir vorher in der fabelhaften Sauna in Dangast waren. Wir bleiben künftig zum Essen lieber wieder in Oldenburg. Schade eigentlich, da wir mit ganz anderen Vorstellungen lt. Internet dort hingegangen sind.

Super great evening with delicious food

I wanted to eat something there in the evening - it was my last day of vacation there and I was really looking forward to a pizza. Stood there (due to weather etc) shortly before 5.30pm (opening) with a couple. Still closed at 5:35 p.m. 2 other people came. We waited in the rain. I looked through the windows. Some of the tables were set. Others still had their chairs up. After consulting with the others (strangers), I agreed to call because nothing happened when I knocked. I called and explained that there were 5 people. Waiting in front of the restaurant and would like to eat and asked why no one is opening. Answer: "Yes, society is closed today and we will be closed from tomorrow" (beginning Nov '23) However, this was not clearly stated anywhere. Of course I informed the others and then looked for a good restaurant. If I ever go there again, I will definitely avoid it again

The homemade noodles are great. The pizzas are also very tasty. Most of the time you can't eat them, but they still taste good at home.

Die Pizza war okay, aber jetzt nicht sehr besonders, wurde aber dafür schnell an den Tisch gebracht. Als wir bezahlen wollten, hat das bestimmt noch 15 Minuten gedauert bis jemand kam und in der Zeit wurden ganz viele andere Sachen erledigt von dem Personal anstatt mal eben schnell die Bezahlung abzuwickeln wenn man gehen möchte.

Wir bekamen ohne Reservierung Sonntag Abend einen Tisch für 2. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und es gab keine langen Wartezeiten. Die Pizza Mamma Mia sollte jeder Gast einmal gegessen haben, einfach Spitzenklasse. Bei den Nudeln meiner Frau hätte man bisschen mehr Gewürze verwenden können. Wir kommen wieder!

Pizza hat gut geschmeckt. Der Laden ist sehr hoch frequentiert, da er sich in einem Urlaubsgebiet befindet. Hier bestellt man vorher am Besten und holt sich die Leckerei dann ab.

Die Pizza ist einfach mega lecker. Die Chicken Nuggets schmecken selbst gemacht - einfach zu empfehlen!

Leckeres Essen und eine reichhaltige Auswahl.

Obwohl die Hölle los war, konnte ich das Essen bei angekündigten 30 Min Wartezeit passend mitnehmen. Die Pizzen an sich sehr lecker. Fluffiger Rand, gut gebacken. Die Auswahl nicht Standard, sondern auch besondere Rezeptideen. Mädel an der Theke auch sehr nett, obwohl der Laden wie gesagt bombenvoll war. Definitiv eine gute Wahl!

wir waren heute zum wiederholten Male bei diesem Italiener essen. Tischreserierung ist angebracht. Der Service ist aufmerksam, schnell und sehr freundlich. Und das Essen, hmmm... einfach nur lecker Wir hatten hier bereits mehrere Male gegessen und haben festgestellt, der Koch versteht sein Handwerk. Ja es dauert etwas, aber wir haben Urlaub und frische Speisen zuzubereiten dauert eben. Das weiss man. Wir können dieses Restaurant mit besten Gewissen weiterempfehlen. Vielen Dank an die gesamte Mannschaft.

Wenn sie nicht gerade großräumig vor der angegebenen Mittagspause Siesta machen würden (systematisch, nicht nur 1-2 Mal!), sicherlich eine gute Alternative zu anderen Locations, aber so wohl eher "wegen Reichtum oder Bequemlichkeit geschlossen"....was soll ich anderes dazu sagen?

Wir haben Pizza und Nudeln bestellt und abgeholt und beides war wirklich lecker! Gerne hätten wir auch mal vor Ort gegessen, dafür muss man aber mit etwa Vorlauf einen Tisch reservieren. Wir hatten leider kein Glück. Vielleicht beim nächsten Mal.

Lecker Pizza, trotz voller Belegung udn ohne Reservierung haben wir gleich zur Öffnung am Nachmittag noch einen Tisch für 3 Personen bekommen.

Ein unerwarteterweise Exzellentes Restaurant, komplett berädert von einer italienischen Familie. Ich hatte selbstgemachte Tagliatelle mit einer Pistaziensauce und klein geschnittenen Garnelen. In Kombination wirklich köstlich und von mir in der Form noch nie gegessen. Ich werde dieses Lokal aufjedenfall erneut besuchen da die Karte noch viel Freude zu bereiten verspricht.

Gute Pizzen! Paar Minuten vom Meer entfernt. Hat nur ein wenig gedauert, bis sie fertig waren. Angekündigt 20 Minuten, tatsächlich 50 Minuten.

Heute das erstemal Pizza geholt! Frau war zufrieden ich nicht, Pizza viel zu teuer. Pizza Mafiosi 16.50€ mit Oliven, Peperoni und Salami und eine Pizza Vegetarisch für 14.50€ mit gegrillten Gemüse. Die Pizza ist leider nicht geschnitten unpraktisch für den Strand. Der Boden war nicht fest, der Belag ist runter gefallen. Wenn ich so eine teure Pizza kaufe, erwarte ich Qualität ich habe die halbe Pizza weggeworfen.

Die Pizza war wie immer der Hammer...
