Taverna Meteora in Nürnberg

It was my 8th Greek restaurant in Nuremberg, and I think it was the best yet! Delicious and beautifully presented. I'd gladly return!

Definitely recommended: The food was very good, the prices were moderate. It was striking that the guests were very “mixed”, old and young next to each other - that is a very good indication.

I was there 3 months ago. I cannot recall anymore the names of the different plates we ordered but I remember that we had so much fun, we were happy and the food was excellent :)

We were there for the first time today and we were amazed by the beautifully decorated restaurant. We were warmly welcomed and taken to our reserved spot. The restaurant was pretty full, but that didn't bother us and the volume was okay for the amount of people. The food was good.

We wanted to go out for a Greek meal for the two of us on New Year's Eve and made reservations in advance. When we arrived, after some discussions with the landlord, we got a table for ourselves. There were mostly large groups there and they were given priority. We didn't feel welcome. At least the food was good, but the service was unfriendly, probably overworked, and there was no ouzo. It would have been better if we had been informed that the restaurant was fully booked. Then we would have looked for another restaurant.

There were four of us on December 26th. Had dinner at Meteora in the evening and were totally thrilled. The quality of the dishes we ordered was absolutely great - the portions were more than generous. For us one of the best Greek restaurants we know in Germany. The service was perfect - we felt very welcome as guests. We would be happy to come back.

Disappointing visit – not recommended We were looking forward to a cozy evening in this Greek restaurant, but were unfortunately very disappointed. What was particularly negative was the unfriendly manner of the owner, who made us feel unwelcome. This made the atmosphere unpleasant and made us feel very uncomfortable during our stay. Due to this experience, we unfortunately cannot recommend the restaurant. For us, friendliness and hospitality are part of a successful restaurant visit, which was unfortunately completely missing here. Very unfortunate.

Excellent experience, high quality food and courtesy of the waiters. When we arrived the place was full, despite this the waiter managed to find us a free table. Very generous portions of food. Compliments.

The atmosphere is quite nice, the appetizers and salmon are really very successful, you should definitely try dried tzatziki, the ice cream was not very good.

Nice place, eat well but without any “wow”. I took a starter (nice octopus, well cooked, a bit too much spicy) and a main course. Portions are big and well made. Only the balaclava at the end was not so good. Too dry and tasteless. Anyway, a good place for a almost good dinner in Nümberg.

In principle quite OK but no comparison to the nearby Platnersanlage. We had to wait 20 minutes for our drinks and overall the service seemed overwhelmed. The prices were also swapped on the bill. In one dish, fries were served instead of rice, which was then corrected by removing the fries from the plate and placing a portion of rice on the plate. Because of this process, the calamari had already cooled down. The rice was very bland and unseasoned, the calamari was very good, although a little cooled down. The salad portions were a bit unevenly distributed... Well...

Best Greek in town Can't understand the whiners, stupid people and parasites. Too expensive? Ridiculous, go to a kebab shop. The ambience is very simple in Greek, you gossips in Greece don't complain if you have to sit close together🤣😅🫣or the beer garden is on the street. Service is always great. I have been coming to this Greek restaurant for 30 years and will continue to go there for the next 30 years. So now I'm going to pick up my Meteora platter for two people and let's enjoy it.

We had reserved for 9 p.m. on a Monday, which is a huge plus in advance. At this time there is still warm food here and in addition to starters such as tzatziki, garlic bread and grilled peppers, we ordered a meat platter for two people. There is a large selection both on our plate and on the menu in general. The menu offers many different starters, warm dishes, desserts and drinks. The food was delicious, the service was very, very friendly and quick. The ambience is really really nice. Outside you sit somewhat hidden behind plants that separate you from the street and inside you feel like you're in Greece and everything is very open and bright. The location is also very good as it is right next to the subway station.

The food was okay, the portions were a bit too small, the meat was too dry, the small dollop of Zazickie wasn't even enough for the one skewer and the 2 pieces of meatballs. We had to wait a little over an hour for the food. We even had to wait a long time for the drinks. Offering the Radler in 0.4l is not ok for the price of the drink. The price is too high for these small portions. The ambience didn't appeal to us and gave us the feeling of being in a normal restaurant and not in a Greek restaurant. The staff was friendly but not very attentive. Conclusion: We would not recommend it to friends and acquaintances.

Wonderful and delicious! Very sensible menu, large selection of dishes. Very nice staff. In general, everything came together in this restaurant and I want to come there for any occasion!

This is a nice greek restaurant where you can eat traditional greek food. There are vegetarian and vegan options available and the service is nice.

Been there again for a long time. Welcomed like old friends. At almost 10 p.m. we got absolutely delicious, freshly prepared Greek food. And even after the kitchen has closed, you can still get a freshly prepared Greek dessert. We'll definitely come back. Still an absolutely recommended Greek restaurant, actually the Greek restaurant in Nuremberg and the surrounding area.

Authentic, large portions, extremely tasty. There's not much more to say, price and performance go together very well here. The place itself is very cozy, for me personally it doesn't need to be that bright, but that's a personal thing.

Excellent on all levels! my favorite Greek restaurant, the food is fresh, cooked with love, deliciously prepared and the portions are generous. Nice staff, restaurant and toilets clean. In summer you can sit outside. It's better to come with the public and enjoy a wine with your meal 😊 Parking difficult because of residential area.

In this family-run Greek restaurant you can get everything you want!!! From the great, dignified ambience to the excellent service to the selection and quality of the food, everyone gets their money's worth here!!! And speaking of costs; the price/performance ratio is unbeatable!!! For the prices there, I either rarely got something so tasty and fresh, or it was a lot more expensive and significantly worse!!! I will return to this dream of Greek hospitality at any time and then stroke my stomach with satisfaction. 🙂

Were there yesterday without a reservation. Even though the restaurant was already full and reserved, they were still able to organize a free table. The food and service were great and at these prices. Would go there again immediately but our stay in Nuremberg is coming to an end.

Was at the Restaurant for the first time, my Dad has been here multiple times. But I must say this is definitily worth 5 stars. One of the best Greek Restaurants i'v ever been to. Would Highlights recommend getting the octupus it's crazy good!

I go there often, mostly with friends. The food is great. The boss and the staff were very nice. You still get something for your money. By the way, you could eat off the floor in the toilet.

Wir haben dort an Silvester gegessen und trotz dass das Restaurant voll war lief alles perfekt und reibungslos ab! Die Speisekarte sollte für jeden was bieten, mir hat sie total zugesagt. Das Personal war sehr freundlich egal ob beim kommen bzw gehen oder allgemein bei der Bewirtung. Ich kann das Lokal nur empfehlen.

Der beste Grieche in Nürnberg. Wir kommen seit mehr als 40 Jahren immer wieder sehr gerne. Die Qualität der Speisen ist anspruchsvoll und die Preise sind weiterhin fair und nicht so abgehoben wie in vielen anderen griechischen Restaurants.

Ich hatte einen sehr schönen Abend mit einer Freundin hier. Das Essen war echt lecker und das Personal freundlich und schnell wenn man was brauchte. Kosten gestalteten sich sehr fair für was man bekommt. Das Ambiente ist nobel.

Wir haben hier Geburtstag meine Schwiegermama gefeiert. Es war sehr schön. Das Essen war lecker, sogar Kinder haben Teller ausgeleert. Personal sehr nett und freundlich. Wir müssen unbedingt Mal wieder kommen. Am Ende haben wir für 8 Erwachsene und 7 Kinder bezahlt..und auch das war in Ordnung..Ich kann nur weiterempfehlen.

Kürzlich habe ich das griechische Restaurant Meteora in Nürnberg besucht und wurde mit einem authentischen Geschmackserlebnis belohnt. Das Essen im Meteora war köstlich und ließ mich die Aromen Griechenlands genießen. Ich entschied mich für das Gyros, eine klassische griechische Spezialität, und es war einfach vorzüglich. Das Fleisch war perfekt gewürzt, zart und saftig, und die Begleitung von frischem Salat, Tzatziki und Tomatenreis machte das Gericht komplett. Jeder Bissen war ein Genuss, und ich konnte den authentischen Geschmack von Griechenland förmlich spüren. Das Personal im Meteora war äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend. Sie begrüßten mich herzlich und sorgten dafür, dass ich mich während meines gesamten Besuchs wohl fühlte. Sie waren aufmerksam, um sicherzustellen, dass alle Bedürfnisse erfüllt wurden, und standen jederzeit für Fragen oder Empfehlungen zur Verfügung. Die Atmosphäre im Restaurant war angenehm und einladend. Ich kann das Restaurant Meteora in Nürnberg absolut empfehlen, insbesondere für Liebhaber der griechischen Küche.

Draußen schön. Drinnen sehr altbacken, kein geschäftstüchtiges Personal. Leere Gläser wurden nicht gesehen, man wurde nicht beachtet. Gyros nicht erwähnenswert. Der ältere Herr, vermutlich Chef war freundlich

Sehr leckeres Essen und ansprechende Portionen. Geschmacklich gibt es nichts auszusetzen. Mein Moussaka war hervorragend. Angenehme Atmosphäre, wir waren im kleinen aber feinen Biergarten. Die Bedienungen waren alles sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Trovato per caso mentre ero in città. Porzioni abbondanti e servizio veloce. Ottimo cibo, insalata freschissima, souvlaki delizioso. Ci tornerò.

Wir hatten einen Tisch anlässlich einer kleinen Familienfeier reserviert. Das Lokal war sehr gut besucht. Außenbereich voll und innen eine Hochzeitsgesellschaft. Küche und Service waren auf diese Auslastung ganz und garnicht vorbereitet. Fazit: Die Speisen und Getränke waren TOP, die Speisen schmackhaft und frisch zubereitet, die Weine passend zu den gewählten Gerichten. Insoweit alles prima. Der ganz entscheidende Gravierender Negativpunkt: Wir hatten um 19.00Uhr unseren Tisch bestellt und hatten unsere Hauptspeisen erst um 21.15Uhr auf dem Tisch. 2 1/4 Stunden auf das bestellte Essen zu warten, was sonst 20-30Min. dauert, das ist bei aller Essensqualität und erkennbarer Bemühtheit des Personals nicht akzeptabel. Schade, damit bringt man sich um den Lohn einer eigentlich sehr guten Arbeit.

Die Taverna Meteora liegt nördlich der Altstadt in einem "gewachsenen" Wohngebiet. Die Taverna Meteora bietet schmackhafte griechische Gerichte zu durchschnittlichen Preisen. Wir hatten die Delphi-Platte, das Zanderfilet und die gemischte Fleisch-/Fischplatte. Alle Gerichte lecker und schmackhaft. Die angebotenen offenen Weine leider eine Enttäuschung, ...Punktabzug. Der Service sehr aufmerksam, aber nur dezent freundlich. Empfehlenswert.
