Sportgaststätte TSV Altenfurt Restaurant & Eventsaal in Nürnberg

We were passing through and ate here. Very authentic Greek food. Everything was perfect.

We celebrated my son's birthday here. We ordered fries with ketchup and mayo. The mayo came out of the bottle quite lumpy, but we didn't think much of it. After 5 minutes, my son started vomiting. When we checked the expiration date on the mayo, it had expired on May 13, 2025 (and today is November 8, 2025). Furthermore, someone had tried to scribble over the date on the lid. There was no apology, nothing. The health department has been notified! A quick note about the restaurant's response... always an excuse ready, even if you read the other reviews... 1. The children didn't eat any cake afterward. 2. It's just as unhygienic to repackage mayo into single-use plastic bottles. These can't be properly cleaned because plastic is known to melt, but I'm sure they have an excuse for that too.

We ordered takeaway and were unfortunately totally disappointed… The gyros was burnt, the meat was gristly and really greasy, the fries were tasteless and soggy… The stuffed bifteki was unfortunately too spicy and not tasty, and I don't even want to write about the calamari, it was simply awful, by far the worst Greek food in Nuremberg, I could have made it myself at home…

Sorry, but the food was completely off. I had a salad with gyro, and the gyro was absolutely gristly and greasy. It was absolutely unappetizing and made me gag. The salad was just iceberg lettuce and very wilted. Not worth €13.50. When I asked if it tasted good, even though I was sending everything back, it was a joke. No sorry, just: I'll let the kitchen know. Nothing was done to soften the bad food. This is the first time I've given a review like this, but it had to be done.

Very friendly staff, good food and fair prices

Went to lunch with three people today. Unfortunately, I discovered that the obligatory ouso was included in the bill. I've never encountered that at a Greek restaurant before.

The food was very tasty. We had the lunch menu, and they could have done with a few more side dishes (rice, fries). But you can always order more. Otherwise, we received very courteous and friendly service.

Greek food to get used to. It was truly unbelievably bad: the gyros and calamari were just soggy and tasteless. The salad dressing was full of flies, and we didn't get a replacement when we asked for one. Not even an ouzo, and that was quite expensive. A few days later, I got a salmonella infection. Never again.

Although the margarita was only 8.9, I was charged 18.9 for additional prawns(Garnelen) and onion which should have been 5€ but they charged me 10€. Everything else other than charging me twice was good.

We were pleasantly surprised. Really really good food at a very fair price. There is also a bowling alley here, but I'm not sure whether it's run by the restaurant or just by the sports club. We also got to know the Pyraser beer here, it is really tasty and doesn't seem to be available anywhere else in the area. I hope I have the opportunity to get the beer somewhere as a private person. The service was great and we didn't have to wait long for our food.

Rustic ambience and a very cozy atmosphere. At any time, our open mind for a new wish was quickly noticed and fulfilled ☺️

Rustic ambience, just a regular pub flair.... You have to like it, I like it.... So just great if you just like it..... The owner is very friendly, food and drink are quickly at the table.... The prices are absolutely reasonable... I had the 63 (highly recommended), 3 gr. beer and 3 ouzo and was just over 40 € included....That's more than cheap for what's on offer... Thanks for the nice evening!

Unfortunately, all of our dishes were relatively bland and were only delivered lukewarm. The gyro was extremely fatty, not just streaky but with large and unappetizing lumps of fat. The only positive thing was the tzatziki. Unfortunately not recommended for us! Then you first respond to the reviews and apologize and then file a complaint with Google? OK then there is one star less for the service!

We actually came to the restaurant due to a mix-up, but we were immediately impressed and stayed there. This is a sports restaurant, so the interior initially seems a bit cold or spartan, but this is completely made up for by the natural friendliness of the innkeepers. We were greeted very friendly and served immediately; our drinks and food orders were carried out quickly and accurately. The food was absolutely great, we both ordered Bifteki - it was a culinary delight! The side salad was fresh and crunchy, there was nothing to complain about here either. We discovered a gem here by chance, we will definitely be back!

Yesterday I was out for lunch and dinner with a friend. Very good food, nothing to complain about. We took a plate of grilled stuff. Everything is very good :) I recommend it! Not to mention the great service! That's a plus!

I was passing through. After a lot of effort I found this restaurant. Who received us wonderfully and received us very hospitably. We ate very well and believe me I don't just say that. This is highly recommended... they paid attention to us while we were eating. And we got a beer and wine. Finally, we were given an ouzo. I would say go there and let your tongue enjoy it

We rented the bowling alley and were very happy with everything. The process was completely uncomplicated and we had a very nice time!

Lamb chops were very tasty and juicy Nice service, always happy. Ouzo was also delicious.

We had to wait about 40 minutes to order our drinks, and unfortunately that only worked when we asked. We then ordered dinner (gyros with rice), which again came 45 minutes later. The portion for just under €17 was so tiny that not even our children were full. In addition, the salad was missing, which was only brought upon request. We're definitely not coming back!

We came early in the afternoon. We received a friendly welcome, the atmosphere was very harmonious. The food didn't convince us 100%. The gyro was too dry and too salty. The salad was delicious. All in all, solid Greek food.

Good food in a cozy atmosphere and friendly innkeepers. The outdoor area in summer is something very special and a nice place for cozy hours with friends.

Unfortunately there are only 5 stars I would give 10!!!

Essen und Service sehr gut.Ambiente eine Sportgaststätte eben,aber es ist nicht unbedingt das wichtigste wenn der Rest sehr gut wahr.

Aufgrund guter Parkmöglichkeit während eines Firmen-Events sind wir zufällig auf die Gaststätte für ein Mittagessen gestoßen. Wir waren 30 Personen, das Essen war traditionell griechische Art, geschmacklich sehr gut. Service - auch in der Vorab-Organisation - sehr zuvorkommend. Die Gerichte wurden nahezu gleichzeitig serviert. Tolle Organisation, wir kommen gerne wieder. Danke

Gutes Essen für eine Sportgaststätte

Wir waren vor einigen Tagen mit unserem kleinen Sohn (fast 2) im Biergarten essen. Ich kenne dieses Sportheim bereits aus meinen Kindheitstagen und habe mich sehr gefreut dort zu sein. Das Essen war sehr lecker, auch wenn das Gyros meiner Meinung nach noch 2 Minuten gebraucht hätte. Der Service war absolut top. Unserem Sohn wurde ohne, dass wir etwas sagen mussten, ein Kinderstuhl gebracht. Als ihm dann die Gabel runterfiel holte uns der Kellner sofort eine Neue, war also sehr aufmerksam. Obwohl wir außerhalb der Regelesszeit (ca. 15 Uhr) dort waren schmeckte alles sehr lecker und war frisch zubereitet. Alles in allem ein sehr schöner, gemütlicher Aufenthalt mit gutem Essen und sehr gutem Service. Viele erwarten schon fast einen gratis Ouzo, was ich persönlich fast schon unverschämt finde. Zum Ende des Aufenthaltes wurden wir gefragt, ob wir einen möchten und nachdem ich als Fahrer abgelehnt hatte, wurde meiner Mutter und Frau jeweils ein Ouzo gebracht. So finde ich das viel besser, als automatisch einen hinzustellen. Wir waren also sehr zufrieden und kommen gerne wieder!

Waren zum Familienessen da, Vorspeisenplatten wurden unverschämt teuer verrechnet. Es gab keinen Ouzo! Sowas hab ich beim Griechen noch nicht erlebt! Wir gehen nicht mehr hin!

Wir waren im Biergarten zu Besuch. Leckere griechische Gerichte zu fairen Preisen. Service war einwandfrei. Kommen gerne wieder, sollten wir in der Gegend sein!

Ist halt alles in die Jahre gekommen,aber mit Abstand die geilste Pizza 🍕 seit Jahrzehnten gegessen! Grüße an alle Italiener geht's Mal zum Griechen in die Lehre 😁

Große Sportgaststätte mit vielen Plätzen

Leckeres griechisches Essen, Preisleistungsverhältnis gut, sehr freundliche Bedienung. Gerne wieder.

Essen schmeckt so gut und saftig, wurde ich wiederkommen oder wiederbestellen und faire Preise. Personen sehr sympathisch. 👌👌

Eine klasse urige Sportgaststätte, viele trennbare Räumlichkeiten die für Taufen, Hochzeiten etc. Wunderbar geeignet sind. Insbesondere die Kegelbahn mit eigener Schankanlage . Essen ist sehr gut und die Leute sind super nett. Werden garantiert dort wieder Feier buchen 😁

Schöne Sportgaststätte mit großem Veranstaltungsaal.

Es ist eine Gaststätte mit gut bürgerlicher Küche. Überwiegend griechische Gerichte, aber es gibt auch deutsche Gerichte und Pizza. Essen schmeckte bisher immer lecka und der Service ist einfach toll. Der Wirt erfüllt einem alle Wünsche, auch wenn man noch so ne extra Wurst ist... Und immer sehr sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Der Gastraum selbst ist jetzt nicht so gemütlich aber es gibt auch andere Räume, die ganz nett eingerichtet sind und für Feierlichkeiten in allen Größen ausreichen Platz bieten. Und ein großer Biergarten ist auch da. Kommen gerne wieder.

Wir haben hier mit ca. 160 Teilnehmern gefeiert und alles hat hervorragend geklappt. Die Räumlichkeiten sind sehr schön und gemütlich, der Service war schnell und aufmerksam und das Essen war sehr lecker und hat unsere Erwartungen voll erfüllt! Vielen Dank!

Lecker Essen und Trinken! Gemütliche Atmosphäre! Was für die Familie und mehr...

Nette Leute aber das Essen ist wirklich nicht der Renner. Mein Gyros hat echt schlecht geschmeckt. Die Fleischspieße waren ok auch die Pommes dazu. Der Salat ist eher lieblos auf den Teller gelegt und besteht zum Großteil aus Eisbergsalat. Toll zum kegeln aber sonst keine Empfehung mir.
