Taverna Kolossos in Langenfeld (Rhld.)

January 29, 2025: been there again, great again. Gyro plate for the lady, lamb plate for the man. Wine and beer with it. Appetizer plate in advance. Fine. January 5, 2025: Great local! Best food, great service, fair prices, everything was right. I celebrated my birthday with my family on Sunday, 10 people were royally served at the same time! And I have comparison options. I don't have a picture of the starters, everything was cleaned up in no time 🫣 I can only recommend the place - I'm still raving about it. From now on our ❤️ favorite.

We love being here and enjoying the Greek delicacies. The Mythos beer on tap tastes great! Always my pleasure.

After our Greek restaurant closed forever, we spent a long time looking for a new regular Greek restaurant And what can we say, we've come to the right place. We come more often now

We visited the restaurant on a Saturday evening. The reception was neutrally friendly, the atmosphere around the restaurant itself was sometimes quite loud and it was definitely far too warm. The service was always friendly, the regular guests were courted and we got the drinks and food quickly put on the table and were then able to open our drinks ourselves. The food was warm, the quantity was really sufficient, but unfortunately it wasn't completely cooked through, which meant I had to quickly go to the toilet at home. All in all, it was good to be out in the fresh air again and to be able to breathe deeply. The next Greek restaurant is definitely different.

We have 2 different starters here Ate mussel saganaki and fried eggplant, both very good. Then as a main course 1x gyros salad and once Metaxa gyros. The salad was great, my husband found the Metaxa Gyros not spicy enough, but still tasty. Beforehand there was bread with a dip and afterwards an ouzo on the house

We were in this restaurant for the fourth time yesterday. The first three times everything was fine but yesterday we weren't happy. The plates on which the food was served were cold. We were used to something different from this restaurant in terms of taste and portions.

Nice restaurant in the city center. Friendly service who explains the typical dishes to you. The food was very good. The advantage is that smaller portions are also available.

One of our favorite restaurants in Langenfeld. Greece greets you as soon as you enter the restaurant. We often order take-away and we also enjoy dining in. The dishes taste very tasty and are still hot after you pick them up at home and are worth the effort. You can also sit outside and enjoy the Langenfeld air.

It was my first time there...but not the last time...such lovely staff, totally child-friendly and great for families!! The food was excellent and delicious, we will definitely come back

Wir waren kurz vor dem Urlaub im Kolossos und wurden wie immer zukommend, herzlich ,also wie Familie aufgenommen. Das das Essen wie immer Klasse war muss ich nicht erwähnen, wir haben ja fast die ganze Speisekarte schon durch. Es ist das Ambiente und die Herzlichkeit der Menschen die hier sind. Wir können gar nicht abwarten bis ihr wieder aus eurem verdienten Urlaub zurück seid.

We were there for the first time this weekend and immediately fell in love. Warm, attentive service and great food. We had warm starters, a main course and dessert. Really everything tasted sensational. The wine, Greek of course, was also great. We were completely thrilled and will definitely come back.

Good Greek restaurant in Langenfeld! We ordered various starters and skin dishes and were overall satisfied. The only thing I wouldn't order again is the garlic bread. The service was great and the atmosphere was very pleasant. The price-performance ratio is right!

It was a great lunch. Food was very good. We had 2 girls aged 3 and 6 with us, who were also treated lovingly. Can only recommend it. It was the first time but not the last time we ate there.

We celebrated our son's communion in the back room with 36 people and were very satisfied all around. We can only recommend Taverna Kolossos. We are happy to travel from Sprockhövel in order to feel comfortable there as always.

We ate at Kolossos again on Saturday and were not disappointed this time either. Despite massive staff shortages, there were no excessive waiting times, the food was of the usual good quality and the glasses didn't stay empty for long. The bill didn't leave anyone in a bad mood either. That's why we're already looking forward to the next evening with freshly tapped Mythos, delicious fish and meat!!

Today we have dedicated ourselves to the fish offer, which is only available on Fridays. Victoria bass, what a delicacy.

We thank you for the lovely evening. We felt very comfortable and had a lot of fun. There were 5 of us. Completely satisfied with the food - except for the lamb chops - which only consisted of bones and fat. The staff was courteous and friendly! What can be done better?: Please don't throw bottles into the crates so loudly (for a long time) and move tables loudly all the time. The guest is thus invited out.

Grundsätzlich hatten wir mit 5 Personen einen schönen Abend. Das Essen war gut. Lammkoteletts würde ich nicht empfehlen, nur Knochen und Fett. Die anderen Gerichte kamen gut an. Preis-Leistung ist in Ordnung. Das Personal sehr freundlich und das Ambiente gut. Gestört hat der Geräuschpegel von Kästen mit Flaschen auffüllen und Tische rücken! Vielleicht kann das in Zukunft leiser oder unterlassen werden.

Were there for the first time. Waiters very friendly, dishes typically Greek. Was delicious. Portions are large. Can't say anything negative.

We got a place for two without a reservation. Restaurant was busy on Friday evening. Bifteki super tasty. I used potato slices instead of plums. They were also very tasty. Portion sufficient. The starter salad was also delicious with a tasty yogurt sauce. The bread as an appetizer has room for improvement. In addition to the delicious cream, it could also contain a few olives or something similar. My wife took the mixed starter plate as the main course. It was the only way to get something meatless.

Ich habe schon oft die Taverne Kolossos besuch und war immer sehr beeindruckt vom Essen und den gemütlichen und warmen Atmosphäre!! Die Inhaber haben es geschafft die griechische Mentalität und die typisch griechische Gastfreundlichkeit (Filoxenia) nach Langenfeld zu bringen. Hier wird mit Liebe gekocht und da schmeckt man mit jedem Gericht wan man probiert! Die "Besonderen Empfehlungen " aus der Karte hab es mir angetan und bleiben im meiner Erinnerung!! Leckere griechische Wein und eiskaltes Mythos vom Fass gegen Durst machen jeden Besuch der Taverne immer wieder PERFEKT!! Schön dass es noch Restaurants gibt, wo man mit einem Lächeln nach Hause geht!!! Im diese Sinne Gia mas und bis nächstes Mal Ourania und Chris!!!! Evangelia aus Monheim

Die Vorspeisen waren gut. Das Gyros war "labrig" und nicht kross. Auch die Pommes waren nicht lecker, da zu weich. Wir können den Griechen leider nicht weiterempfehlen.

Sehr gastfreundlich und sehr guter Service. Wir waren schon mehrmals dort und sind immer sehr zufrieden mit allem. Die Speisen sind sehr lecker und die Preise sind gut.

Essen Durchschnitt, Portion Durchschnitt Preise okay. Ambiente? halt in der City

Wir waren hier zu dritt essen. Der Service war sehr freundlich und wir wurden durch die Kellnerin darüber informiert welche Gerichte es aufgrund des in kürze folgenden Urlaub nicht mehr gibt. Die Auswahl war dennoch sehr groß. Als Vorspeise haben wir die Gavros genommen die waren lecker und wir haben auch extra Zitronen bekommen. Als Hauptspeise gab es für mich den Grillteller und meine Freundin hat den Lammspieß genommen. Das Fleisch schmeckte leider fast ausschließlich nach Verbranntem Fleisch. Die Beilagen Pommes waren dafür perfekt gesalzen. Der Salat war ok. Nach dem Essen gab es einen kurzen aufs Haus. Zusammenfassend: Service und Vorspeise Top Hauptspeise leider ein Flop.

Wir waren mit 6 Personen im Kolossos essen. Den Tisch hatten wir vorher telefonisch reserviert. Der Empfang war herzlich und das Restaurant nett eingerichtet. Zu unseren Vorspeisen, bei dem unter anderem Gegrilltes Brot mit Knoblauch Butter (6 Scheibchen) und Zaziki wurden leider keine extra Teller gereicht. Hätten wir danach gefragt hätten wir bestimmt Teller erhalten. Der Service generell war nett, jedoch nicht wirklich Aufmerksam oder einfach ohne Erfahrung. Das Essen..Leider war das Gyros alles andere als gut. Viel zu kross außen und innen leider nicht wirklich durch. Meine Kinder die Gyros lieben, wollten es nicht essen. Sehr schade da die anderen Gerichte wie Metaxa Gyros wirklich gut waren.

Ein tolles Restaurant mitleckeren Speisen und tollem Ambiente. Da werde ich noch öfter Speisen. Kann man nur empfehlen.

Die Gastgeber Chris und Ourania sind sehr herzlich , zuvorkommend und aufmerksam. Wir fühlen uns wie "zuhause". Besonders zu empfehlen sind die Lammhaxen, die zergehen auf der Zunge!

Wir sind begeistert von der Qualität. Das Fleisch ist hochwertig und spitze zubereitet. Ich hatte beim ersten Besuch meinen Standard beim Griechen: Metaxa Gyros. Ich kann mich nicht erinnern bisher solch ein leckeres Metaxa Gyros gegessen zu haben.... Beim zweiten Besuch gab es für mich die Lammaxe. Zart, saftig und aromatisch. Reservierung am Wochenende ist notwendig.

Wir waren an einem sonnigen Sonntag Mittag dort essen. Das Ambiente ist sehr schön und das Essen sehr schmackhaft. Man merkt, dass Wert auf Qualität gelegt wird. Auch die Weinkarte bietet für jeden Geschmack etwas und zeugt von Qualität. Das Inhaber-Paar ist sehr freundlich. Wir sind froh, ein so tolles griechisches Restaurant in Langenfeld zu haben und kommen gerne wieder.
