Wir waren heute das erste Mal dort Essen (mit Gutscheinbuch). Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Essen war sehr schmackhaft und sehr reichlich. Nett fand ich die Nachfrage warum wir nicht alles aufgegessen haben, ob es uns nicht geschmeckt hat??? Als wir mitgeteilt haben, dass es super lecker war, aber wir die Menge nicht schaffen, war der Koch erleichtert😃😀. Also, wir kommen wieder. Auch ohne Gutschein. Vielen Dank.....

Sehr schönes Ambiente und eine rundum angenehme Atmosphäre. Der Service war aufmerksam und ausgesprochen freundlich. Besonders positiv ist uns aufgefallen, dass auch an unseren Hund gedacht wurde es gab direkt Wasser und sogar einen kleinen Snack. Das Essen war geschmacklich hervorragend und mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und kommen auf jeden Fall gerne wieder.

Wir haben heute zum ersten Mal bestellt und bestimmt nicht zum letzten Mal. Essen kam warm an und die Portionen waren reichlich und was viel wichtiger ist, es hat uns allen sehr gut geschmeckt.

Wir waren nach dem Inhaberwechsel zum ersten mal wieder da und waren rundum zufrieden, super Service, lecker Essen und typisch Griechische Gastfreundschaft. Wir werden wiederkommen 😊

wir wurden super herzlich begrüßt, bekamen einen Platz für zwei Personen. Der Platz war angenehm man hatte viel Freiheit, sich zu bewegen. Der Service war sehr freundlich und aufgeschlossen. Zur Begrüßung bekamen wir einen kleinen Glühwein gereicht. Wir hatten das Schlemmer Buch dabei, dabei handelt es sich um Gutscheine zwei Essen für eins. Wir haben uns anschließend die Speisekarte angesehen und haben uns entschieden für Gyros mit Scheiben, Kartoffeln und Zaziki sowie zwei Hähnchenspieße mit Scheiben, Kartoffeln und Salat. Der Salat wurde an den Tisch gebracht und war vermutlich mit Essig und Öl angerichtet. Nach einer kleinen Weile bekamen wir unsere Gerichte an den Tisch gereicht. Meine Hähnchenspieße waren etwas drüber, d.h. zu lange gebraten. Die Paprika war schon ziemlich verbrutzelt. Die Scheiben Kartoffeln waren ziemlich hell und nur durch Gewürze farblich verändert. Das Gyros war,laut Aussage meines Mannes, ziemlich un gewürzt. Wir beanstandeten das Essen, nachdem wir gefragt wurden, ob alles in Ordnung sei. Ich hatte die Kartoffeln auf dem Teller liegen lassen, ebenso wie mein Mann. Auch die Hähnchenstücke habe ich nicht aufgegessen. Wir bekamen als Ausgleich für das mittelmäßige Essen zwei Ouzo gereicht. Das Ambiente ist eher etwas altmodisch und aus den achtziger Jahren. Einzig und allein der Service war sehr gut und freundlich. Wir werden nicht noch mal vorbeischauen und können auch das Restaurant leider nicht weiterempfehlen.

Das Essen war köstlich ! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt .

Der Biergarten war ein gemütlicher Platz, an dem man sich wohlfühlen konnte. Tischdecken und Deko hätten das Gesamtbild zwar noch etwas aufgewertet, aber insgesamt passte das Ambiente. Etwas überrascht war ich zunächst, dass es keine Pommes zu den Gerichten gab. Stattdessen wurden Kartoffelchips serviert – geschmacklich eine positive Überraschung, die nicht nur eine gelungene Abwechslung, sondern auch eine kleine Besonderheit darstellte. Der Service war durchschnittlich, jedoch stets freundlich. Alles in allem ein schönes Erlebnis, das man gerne weiterempfiehlt.

Six of us visited this Greek restaurant and were thoroughly impressed. The food was delicious and authentic, but we especially wanted to highlight the service: Our server was exceptional – always attentive, very polite, calm, and yet extremely professional. My partner's family had been regulars for 30 years, and I had also come along often and enjoyed it. Now, after a change of chef, it was a complete disaster. Things went downhill after the salad. Souvlaki was tough, musty, and sometimes undercooked. The Metaxa Gyros was completely different to the usual; most of it was black and also musty. The fillet plate was also no good; the meat was mostly black, tasteless, and musty. The potato chips that we had loved so much for decades were covered in paprika and were no fun. The service had also deteriorated; no one made any effort. All in all, a disappointment, and it's sad that we have to avoid this restaurant after decades.

I've rarely eaten so well. The quality of the meat was top-notch. Everything was delicious. I highly recommend it. It's definitely worth a visit. The meals my companions (there were four of us and two children) also had were all excellent.

The elderly Greek couple who always cooked in the kitchen seem to have recently left... and you can tell right away. The main courses are bland in flavor, the meat is tough and dry (in the souvlaki), recipes have changed for the worse (e.g., in the Metaxa gyros), the chips (roasted potatoes) are now tiny, etc. I've heard similar comments from other tables... even the still-great appetizer salad can't make up for it. A real shame... unfortunately, that was probably my last time at this Greek restaurant after 35 years...

I can't understand all the reviews. I really enjoy going there with my family and friends to eat and have a good time. We're regulars. This group of about 20 people always enjoys the food. Service was always good, even when it was busy. Whether someone finds lean meat too dry or juicy meat too fatty is a matter of taste. Just like with other dishes. The menu offers many dishes, and we found them plentiful. Yamas! I'm already looking forward to our next evening at Dionysos.

The service and food were very good. We didn't have to wait long. The atmosphere is very informal, and we felt welcome as guests. This was our first time here and we will definitely be back.

After a good experience two weeks ago, I'm now very disappointed. The bread was yesterday, the lamb was tough, the gyros was too dark, and the liver wasn't very good. A shame.

I went out to dinner with my wife today. We had lamb chops and a grilled lamb platter. The meat wasn't freshly cooked, just warmed up.

We spontaneously decided to go out to eat today, Easter Monday...Even though we were there around 3:30 p.m. it was quite busy and the service was attentive. We were there today because we read about the new opening. We found the food very tasty. We had several starters, a grill plate and 2x the Jana plate. The portions were really sufficient. We particularly liked the gyros, which were very finely sliced. The service staff were very friendly and attentive. It was well attended, but we didn't have to wait long. The boss showed us the rustic room at the back. This is also a great place to sit with larger families/groups. Maybe with a new team you should turn a blind eye and address criticism personally if there is any 😊

Ich musste meine Bewertung über dieses Restaurant löschen, da der Restaurantbetreiber leider mit Falschaussagen hierauf reagiert hat. Wenn er glaubt richtige „Richrather“ hiermit als Gäste zurück zu gewinnen, täuscht er sich, denn ich könnte die 6 in Richrath bekannten Gäste namentlich nennen und wir haben weder die Speisen noch den Service gelobt. Und hier noch einmal meine Bewertung: Mein zweiter Besuch: Update: heute waren wir zu sechst im Dionysos. Leider das gleiche negative Ergebnis. 4 Gäste sprachen von versalzenen Speisen, 2 erhielten nicht exakt das, was bestellt wurde, keiner war richtig zufrieden. Fazit: nach 2 Pleiten war dieses unser letzter Besuch in diesem Restaurant. Meine erste Bewertung: Neue Inhaber für dieses Restaurant haben uns neugierig gemacht und ich hoffe, es waren nur Anfangsschwierigkeiten, durch die ich enttäuscht wurde: der Service war gut und freundlich, das Gyros hat mir nicht geschmeckt, da ich knusprig bestellt hatte und mir dieses bestätigt wurde. Das, was kam, hatte mit knusprig überhaupt nichts zu tun. Zumindest eine Nachbesserung oder ein Entgegenkommen hätte ich erwartet. Einfach schade um das Geld, dennoch viel Erfolg.

We have been to the old owner of the restaurant several times in the past and were there this week for the first time after the change of ownership. We always like the food very much and the waiters were very, very friendly. The beer garden outside is very nice to sit in, but inside it's a bit old. There is a play area for children inside the restaurant.

I had to delete my review of this restaurant because the restaurant operator unfortunately responded with false statements. If he thinks he is winning real “Richrathers” back as guests, he is mistaken, because I could name the 6 guests we know in Richrath and we did not praise the food or the service. And here is my review again: Update: today there were six of us at Dionysus. Unfortunately the same negative result. 4 guests spoke of oversalted food, 2 did not receive exactly what was ordered, no one was really satisfied. Conclusion: after 2 bankruptcies, this was our last visit to this restaurant. New owners for this restaurant have made us curious and I hope it was just initial difficulties that made me disappointed: the service was good and friendly, I didn't like the gyros because I ordered crispy and this was confirmed to me. What came had nothing to do with crispy at all. I would have expected at least an improvement or an accommodation. It's just a shame about the money, but good luck nonetheless.

Well, what can you say... Difficult to describe, not saying that it's expensive and the portions are just enough for a normal eater. But 18.50 for a grill plate, I found the portion size too small for this. But it was tasty, although, as with almost every Greek, nothing unusual. The ambience is a bit low for my taste and the prices...

Unfortunately, far too few staff. Nevertheless, all guest rooms were open. After about 30 minutes we left without even getting a drink.

After being regular guests here for the last 20 years, we had dinner with the new owners today. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating, the food tasted very good. We went home satisfied and full. We will certainly be frequent guests in the future.

We were left sitting at a table for 20 minutes without a menu or anything to drink. We then left the restaurant and received several unfriendly and derogatory looks. In the 20 minutes we spent in this restaurant, not a single waiter came out of the kitchen with anything to eat. In addition, there were only two servers in the restaurant at peak time on a Friday evening. Absolutely no recommendation!!!! It's a shame that you have to give at least one star, because this shop would have deserved -1 star.

Today we went to the Dionysos restaurant once again and had an excellent meal in the beautiful beer garden...after the change of tenant it is just as good as before...Greek hospitality is very important here. We'll definitely be back.

I had just ordered food for four people for my family over the phone. It was specifically pointed out that the meals should be prepared without onions. As you can imagine, there were onions on every dish and not too much of it... the fries were like rubber and some were black or discolored. I have no idea what that was... there was loose plastic in one of the meals that you could have swallowed.. Then I called and wanted to complain about it and the friendly lady just hung up... The experience cost 80 euros.. Unfortunately you have to give at least one star, but the store absolutely doesn't deserve it So if you ask me, this store is absolutely life-threatening, definitely not a recommendation!!!! Never never never again.

The quality of the food was great. Everyone was full and happy. Service was top, nothing was missing and everything was served quickly. We wish the new owner much success! Next time we'll eat in the small outdoor area.
