Overall, I was dissatisfied with my visit to this restaurant. The food was mediocre at best – the meat in particular was underwhelming in terms of flavor. Even the vegetarian dish was only lukewarm, suggesting it had been prepared for some time before being served. Everyone also had to wait an unusually long time for their orders, even though the restaurant was sparsely attended. However, the way criticism was handled was particularly negative: When a member of our group politely pointed out that the food didn't live up to expectations, this was met with defensive and condescending comments – including the comment that it would have tasted better if they had tried an ouzo beforehand. Such a tone is completely inappropriate in a service setting. The same employee also behaved unfriendly and arrogantly towards other guests, which led to an overall unpleasant atmosphere. Overall, the visit was disappointing – both in terms of the food and the interpersonal aspects. A significant improvement in service and a stronger focus on quality are urgently needed. Unfortunately, I cannot and do not want to recommend this restaurant.

Unfortunately, the owner needs to be brought back down to earth. We ordered the Elia plate. We waited a good hour for the Elia plate, and it was by far the worst gyro I've ever eaten. The fries were about the size of a handful, but they tasted pretty good. Stupid comments are par for the course, criticism isn't accepted, other guests are insulted, and one of the staff members only speaks English? With the best will in the world, you can't and don't want to give this place only 2 stars.

We waited an hour and a half for our €70 grilled platter. It was annoying, but okay. Unfortunately, most of the meat was cold, the lamb chops were raw, and the gyro pieces were the size of pork medallions. Overall, it seemed like they hadn't prepared this dish very often. In fairness, the waiters were very nice and tried to make up for the loss with espresso and ouzo. It didn't help; it left us both with a heavy stomach. The waiter's cheeky goodbye, "see you next time," finally motivated me to give my feedback ;) Greetings!

I stumbled upon this restaurant by chance. The service is unparalleled, and I've rarely experienced such warmth. The food selection is carefully selected and very tasty. There are also some vegan dishes; just ask. The ouzo after the meal was also delicious. I would definitely come back!

It has been a few weeks since I visited there. But it is certainly not one of the best Greek restaurants in Germany, it is one of the best restaurants in Germany in general. The restaurant is on a par with those in Greece. I am Greek myself and felt at home because of the food and ambience and the staff and the owner. The starters, including the dips, were all freshly homemade. The stuffed zucchini flowers were a dream. The main courses (meat and leg) were superbly seasoned. Everything was really perfect. The dessert was a real eye-catcher and a show. I can only recommend that anyone who has the chance to eat there go there. I live far away and would definitely stop by if I am in the area again.

The lunch menu isn't recommended. We had bifteki and gyros, and both weren't freshly prepared. We won't be back.

Good food but the wait was long (30 + minutes)

Yesterday, on June 11, 2025, we were with the Sindelfingen Australian Stammtisch group for dinner on the terrace with nine people starting at 7:00 p.m. We were once again very satisfied with the service and the food. Great, and thank you very much.

We had the pleasure of dining in the tavern's beautiful beer garden yesterday. The food was great. Definitely a recommendation, especially in good weather.

We had pork and chicken souvlaki. It was delicious. The homemade hummus is outstanding!

Vegetarian, fish or meat, everything is great here. Have been here many times, lunch or evening, never disappointed. There's always something new and cool on the menu.

The gyros with butter rice was super tasty

I have been in and out of Stuttgart for work over the years. Each and every time, I make sure to stop by Taverna Elia for the excellent food as much as the excellent service they provide. For some time I was something of a regular, often being greeted with a drink, smile and handshake or even hug. At times when the menu changed, they would prepare off menu items at request, the place is just incredibly welcoming. The food is always amazing, you really can't go wrong if there's a dish you're familiar with and enjoy. Thank you to the staff for always making meals here so enjoyable, and I look forward to some kopanisti and Ouzo when I'm lucky enough to return to Stuttgart. Yamas!

The best American dry aged steaks far and wide - and ouzo with it: perfect evening! We also ate a very nice souvlaki skewer of saddle of lamb with extra-tasty fries! A feast for the palate!! Beer and ouzo are also highly recommended to round things off! Always very crowded - make sure you make a reservation!

Well, actually I shouldn't announce this publicly at all, since the places are very limited and already in demand... Absolute top class! Simply great! But I won't reveal any more.

I was organizing a work holiday dinner for 20 people. I had gone to the restaurant previously before and always like the food, so I thought it would be a good choice. All of my coworkers loved the restaurant and the food. We were given a small menu to choose from, which included an appetizer buffet and a main dish. The appetizer buffet was varied and amazing. The main dishes were chicken skewers, a fish plate, a mixed meat plate, baked eggplant, and lamb. Everything tasted delicious. The service was also really great. They were very attentive to our table, explained what everything was, and were overall very cheerful and happy. We were also served a couple of rounds of ouzo on the house. Everyone stated that they loved it and wanted to come back again on their own. Thank you again for hosting us!

It's somehow unforgivable that we've been living in Vaihingen for six years and haven't found this Greek pearl. Ashes on my head! Super cute little restaurant, absolutely loving and attentive service and really delicious Greek food. There's nothing more to add except that I still don't understand how I didn't find Elijah before. Absolutely recommended. P.S.: The mixed starter platter was brilliant, but I forgot to take a photo of it beforehand. The beetroot with goat cheese and honey was a poem!

I recently bought a pyta gyros to take away and it was delicious in itself. Everything was good except that the meat was very tough in some places and it was very tiring to eat. Ambiance is nice and service so mediocre.

A small but very nice restaurant! We had such a relaxing and fun evening! The waiters were in such a good mood and were very accommodating and extremely friendly - we have rarely been served like this. The service was excellent, the food was great and very fresh (pasta is homemade!). We will definitely come here again. Thanks to the whole TAVERNA team!

The place was old, not repaired at all, at first I said okay, but the order didn't come as I thought, the calamari had plastic trash and greasy meat in it, still not cooked well. What worried me The best thing was the menu where there were no prices and I believe they were making the bills based on their ideas and judging people based on how rich or poor they looked. He only told us the price verbally. All of this cost €70, something I never thought would happen again

Lunch: Gyros with fries, tzatziki and a small side salad for €13. It sounds more expensive at first, but here as everywhere else the purchase prices have risen and 19% instead of 7% VAT is due again. There's definitely nothing to complain about in terms of taste. Gyros and tzatziki were really good.

Amazing place for greek food in stuttgart. Their food tastes really authentic, the staff are nice and friendly and the atmosphere is excellent and perfect for a nice dinner experience. We were two and between us had the falafel platter to start with and the Elia meat platter from the main course and a jug of red house wine for the table. We loved the taste, quality and portion size of everything. Will definitely go back.

This is some of the most authentic Greek you’ll find in the area. The atmosphere is incredibly comfortable and homey, and not overly done. They created the most authentic greek experience in the area. And the food? Absolutely amazing. Nothing over the top, just quality ingredients cooked well. Everyone in our group agreed - it was the most relaxing dining experience in recent memory. This place was recommended to me by a Greek friend as the most Greek-like place around, and they were 100% correct. Amazing. Will go back.

A really exceptionally good Greek restaurant with excellent food and especially garlic fries are recommended. Furthermore, the restaurant's ambience makes it very inviting and offers a menu that is not overly large, but offers something for every eater. The only negative thing that can be added is that one dessert was baked in the same oven as the fish, which unfortunately was tasty afterwards 😞. But otherwise the restaurant is really excellent and we will definitely come back!

My outsourced living room. You come home to friends and just feel good. Plus super tasty food. For example, I love the beetroot starter with honey, sheep's cheese and walnuts.

Gutes Griechisches essen - kann man nix sagen - und preis Leistung ist auch Top

Kleines Restaurant mit super netten Personal. Das Essen schmeckt sehr sehr gut. Wir hatten zum einen Fisch Dorade und Gyros Teller Metaxasouce. Auch Vorspeisen orderten wir und lecker Getränke. Die Dorade wurde sogar nach dem servieren bei uns am Tisch direkt filetiert. Einfach super. Danke auch für den Ouzo zur Überbrückung der Wartezeit ... denn leider hatten wir nicht reserviert da wir dachen Montags ist es sicher nicht voll , weit gefehlt , das kleine Restaurant scheint beliebt und ist sehr gut besucht. Danke und weiter so.

Mal was ganz anderes, kleines Restaurant mit sehr gutem u bemühten Personal. Es ist anscheinend immer voll am Abend. Wir mussten etwas warten da nicht vorbestellt. Die Wartezeit am Eingang wurde mit einem Ouzo aufs Haus belohnt. Das Essen war sehr gut u auch viel. Jeder Vor u Hauptspeisse. Fisch Dorade super zubereitet u beim Servieren am Tisch filetiert , super. Gyros mit Metaxasoße war auch sehr gut ... nur aufgrund der üppigen Vorspeise Feta nicht zu schaffen. Es gab noch weitere Ouzo. Es war super u TOP Personal. Gerne wieder.

Wir waren das erste mal hier und würden wir aus der Gegend kommen, wäre ich definitiv Stammgast. Ein Traum an Service, das Essen war so lecker und dazu große Portionen. Ich hatte mir was außerhalb der Karte gewünscht und es war kein Problem. War super!

Wir hielten am 1.12. unsere Weihnachtsfeier in dem Lokal Taverna Elia ab. Das Essen war ausgesprochen gut, die Bedienungen waren aufmerksam und sehr freundlich. Die Hauptspeise war gut, die Vorspeise herausragend. Besonders die Auberginen/Zucchini "Chips". Nächstes Mal esse ich nur Vorspeisen 😄 Das Brot hätte vielleicht ein bisschen frischer sein können und mir war es etwas zu laut. War halt sehr voll (besser reservieren am Wochenende). Die Bedienung war sehr nett und aufmerksam, trotz vollem Laden. Ich würde einen Besuch auf jeden Fall empfehlen.

I love the "family feel" of the place. It has just the right size and atmosphere to really enjoy Greek food. Food and service are great. If there's a suggestion I could make: add another interesting main dish for vegetarians. We will be back!

La experiencia fue distinta a la esperada. Tardaban en traer las bebidas. Nos pusó los platos a primera hora pero la comida empezó a llegar casi 2 horas después de haber pedido. El plato que pedí era un mix de pescado para 2 personas, el pescado estaba demasiado hecho y estaba duro, hay que decir que en la foto falta un mini cuenco de arroz y un cuenco de patatas. Decepcionado con la comida y el servicio.

Essen sehr lecker, leider äußerst lange Wartezeit. Gäste die nach uns gekommen sind, bekamen das Essen vor uns.
