Fantastic! We came here spontaneously for the first time, but certainly not the last! A super authentic atmosphere, perfect and very friendly service despite the busy times, and most importantly: the food was absolutely top-notch and not at all run-of-the-mill like you might expect from other Greek restaurants. A real recommendation; we'll definitely be back!

There were two of us in this Greek taverna, including a friend with Greek roots. Unfortunately for us the food was not authentic and tasted disappointing. Even simple dishes were not convincing. Overall, a rather bad experience - not recommended in our opinion.

Compared to usual Greek Taverns the food was very bad. The service was very friendly though and they did a great job. Maybe they should change the cook...

Best restaurant, very friendly service, super delicious food

On the occasion of our visit to beautiful Düsseldorf, we were there for the second time to meet up with friends. We are very happy to have discovered Taverna Eleon because it is a beautiful tavern with very authentic Greek cuisine. The menu consists almost exclusively of mezé dishes, i.e. everything the kitchen has to offer in small portions. This means we can order many dishes together with our large table group and everyone can eat everything! Olá masí - All together, there is real Greek conviviality in the circle of friends, the paréa! The dishes are very tasty, freshly prepared, and come out of the kitchen hot and crunchy. There are a lot of vegetable dishes - really Greek! And excellent wines. The service is extremely on point and very friendly - also really Greek! All in all, it's like a little vacation. We will definitely go again next time we visit Düsseldorf. See you soon. Ta lemé!

Very spartan. The food was ok. You had to order everything individually. The homemade fries are very greasy and not recommended. Meat and salad was good. Too expensive in our opinion.

We were there for the first time yesterday. The food was great, everything tasted good to very good. One dish was too burnt for me (zucchini fritters) but the taste was TOP. Service very friendly. The price was absolutely right for us. 9-10 different cold & warm starters, bottle of wine, water, beer 120€ (3 people) suits us. ONLY it was so incredibly loud. So I didn't understand the person opposite, it wasn't possible to drink the wine comfortably. We sat down very quickly and fled from the noise. There were 2/4/6 tables occupied everywhere like we were. So no large groups that could be the cause. Our Appel Watch sounded the alarm 🤣🤣 So unfortunately a NO from us. BUT we heard it would be ok on the terrace in the summer and then we'll try it again because of the food and service 👍

For me the best Greek in Düsseldorf. The food is excellent. The atmosphere of the restaurant is authentic, which I like very much. The service is always super friendly, attentive and fast. The owner of the shop, like his staff, is very friendly and always available for a nice little chat at the table. I was there yesterday with two friends and we had a wonderful evening there. I can only recommend the Eleon tavern!

Full of lies just for the e sake of money. So sad. VERY VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE and HARSH OWNER. There are many other better greek restaurants in the area.

The rooms are rather uncomfortable. It's very loud, bright, a bit cramped and if you sit next to the door or window it feels cold. The chairs are super uncomfortable and you really can't sit on them for very long or comfortably. The service is actually quite good and attentive. The food is tasty but not exceptional, but in a higher price range. The small portions sometimes cost as much as the usual main courses. A big problem is that you can't pay in cash here. So if you don't know beforehand how long the evening will last or how much you want to drink, you have to carry a lot of cash with you, which I actually don't like doing. That should be changed, also to counteract the accusation of tax savings. Conclusion: You can do it occasionally. I would come again, but more in summer when you can sit outside.

Loved it! After a rather disappointing experience at another Greek restaurant in Düsseldorf, a colleague recommended Taverna Eleon and I couldn’t be more grateful. The menu was excellent - we could have simply ordered from the long list of appetizers and shared plates the whole night but we had to hold back and try a few of their main plates as well. Delicious, well-presented, cozy, great service…we’ll definitely be back again and again!

Unfortunately, I didn't understand the concept of "Meze". The starters and main courses came to the table in quick succession. Until I realized that there are no such things as starters and main courses here. Basically tapas in different sizes. You have to like it - not my style. All dishes were hardly seasoned, especially salt was missing. Maybe a style I didn't understand. Cash only, I don't understand either. So in the end it's all quite nice without being exciting. I wouldn't be a repeat guest...

Very tasty, but has nothing to do with classical Greeks

When I entered the restaurant I noticed an unpleasant smell. The guest room is relatively small and therefore very loud. Unfortunately the food is really not good. There's a bit of flavor missing everywhere. The tzatziki is garlic-free and bland. The other dishes like the beetroot dip or the chicken in lemon lack fresh herbs. The minced meat roll tasted unpleasantly strong. All in all, the food didn't convince me. The service is ok, but not really outstanding. After the meal, my companion and I sat there for about twenty minutes without being offered dessert or other drinks.

My new regular Greek. I came back to Germany from Greece a few weeks ago and the food here can easily keep up with the local food. In addition, the service is simply excellent! Great restaurant!

Wir hatten gestern in der Taverna Eleon ein exzellentes Abendessen, das von Geschmack und Qualität aus unserer Sicht nicht zu toppen war. Ob Calamari Psito, Bifteki Gemisto, Choriatiki, Dolmadakia, Tsatsiki.... alle Speisen mundeten einfach nur großartig. Ein besonderer Dank gilt deshalb dem Koch! Auch die Atmosphäre, u.a. hervorgerufen durch Gestaltung sowie Einrichtung des Raumes, ließ uns an eine typisch griechische Taverne denken und entführte uns für kurze Zeit in eine Auszeit vom Alltag. Die Bedienung war ausgesprochen aufmerksam und freundlich. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist vollkommen in Ordnung. Es empfiehlt sich, eine Platzreservierung vorzunehmen. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall gerne wieder!!!!

We ate there for the first time today, but it certainly wouldn't be the last time. The food is super delicious 😋😋😋. Greek Mediterranean cuisine. Absolutely top 👍👍. The ambience is simple but has its own charm. We'll definitely be back.

Finally an original Greek! No mountains of meat, but a diverse selection of smaller and larger dishes that you can put together and share as you wish.

You put together the meal from lots of little things, which means, for example, there is no salad or side dishes with meat dishes. You choose all of this yourself. There are also good wines and Ouzo Veto. You should definitely make a reservation because it fills up quickly at 5 p.m.

The food was quite good, a bit expensive for its quality. What is worth is the lamb in the oven and the sausages. The bottle of wine was average quality, could have better labels. In the yogurt, the pie could have been warm and baked.

Er hat mich fast als Lügner bezeichnet, als ich ihm sagte, dass wir am Telefon nicht darüber informiert wurden, dass wir um 19:30 Uhr gehen mussten. Die Qualität des Essens war unterdurchschnittlich und der Service war im Allgemeinen schlecht. Ich empfehle es nicht.

The waiter was rude and told us we had to leave at 7:30pm even though we had a reservation. He almost called me a liar when I told him that we weren't informed on the phone that we had to leave at 7:30 p.m. Die Qualität des Essens war unterdurchschnittlich und der Service war im Allgemeinen schlecht. The restaurant is nice and the food is terrible. Gyros were extremely dry and tasted like raccoon cake. Kalamair was comparable to my grandma's garden groks and tasted the same 🤮🤢 Pita bread stolen from the ducks and tzatziki taste expired around 1997 Cash only ???? And the waiter was very sleazy and pushy/rude Not recommended this “Greek” 😅

Friendly and attentive staff. Despite the group being quite large, all the dishes were there at the same time. Price/performance is also absolutely fair. Happy to come back :)

Update 07/24: Food was a disaster. Super fatty meat. Soggy fries and a salad that was barely edible. A pity. Maybe we were just unlucky. Old experience: Food was great. Pulled Gyros. Really good. Prices are completely ok. And the service friendly. Space on the street is semi cool. But it doesn't really bother you. Gladly again.

My partner and I recently dined at this restaurant and to be honest, the chicken schnitzel is a dish I can definitely recommend. I also chose the beetroot salad, which also tasted very good and the portions were absolutely sufficient. The restaurant served bread and asked if we would like more bread. The service is very attentive and friendly, the atmosphere is rustic and cozy. If we are in Düsseldorf again, we will definitely come here again, but then with a reservation.

Anyone who knows Greece knows that there used to be a small snack with every drink. There are small snacks here for a lot of money. And of course the drinks are not included either. 😏 You can do that, then you'd rather go back to the corner Greek restaurant or make the tzatziki yourself.

We spontaneously chose this restaurant and were impressed by the decor, the pictures and the many great reviews. People often tend to dismiss some poorer reviews as exceptions to the rule. We were taught otherwise. The waitress tried hard but was unable to provide more detailed information about some dishes when asked. The food was beautifully prepared, but pita, for example, was served sparingly. Unfortunately, neither fish nor meat was convincing in terms of taste. The ingredients didn't seem to be of good quality and the prices for them were exorbitant. The fatty beef tasted very intense, the cheese tasted like mutton. The fish had an unpleasant muddy aftertaste. The sauce served with it was certainly not freshly prepared. There are numerous Greeks in Düsseldorf who offer fresher cuisine and better service.

The meze are all super tasty 😋 There is plenty of choice for vegetarians too. We were able to sit outside and for my taste the small, colorful wooden tables provide exactly the ambience that reminds me of a tavern in Greece. It is advisable to reserve in advance!

We had dinner there last night. The food is ok but what's not good is the outrageous service. This upscale restaurant is cash only and there is no sign of this anywhere at the entrance. We were very surprised and expressed our displeasure on the way out. The long-haired owner then followed us and insulted us in the worst possible way. We left over 100 euros to be insulted and insulted afterwards 😡😡😡 A restaurant in 2024 without card payment leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Especially when there is supposedly a small note only on the menu. Threats and insults just because you criticize. Shows how low-class this restaurant is.

An insider tip. It would be too easy to say the best Greek restaurant I've ever eaten at. Because it associates the typical German Greek with Mykonos platter and dead grilled meat. That's not what you expect here. There are many small and absolutely exceptional, good dishes here that you have never heard of, let alone tasted. And each one is a poem in itself. Here you order two to three dishes per person and indulge in the shared pleasures. People sit close together, it's loud and always full. Reservations are necessary and are best done outside. An experience and worth a trip.

It's best to order an extra bottle of white wine and talk a little louder - hehe. Overall, Taverna Eleon is my favorite Greek place. an absolute recommendation for anyone who values ​​excellent food and friendly service.

All good except few pieces of lamb meat were raw. Waitress was great offered to change (i did jot take it), but waiter i paid bill to was extremely rude and arrogant. Worst greek restaurant I had been to. Shame i did not take pictures as did not want to leave bad review, but kelner 3 encouraged me with his rudeness (dark hair guy around 50 - note for owner)

Having just arrived in the city, it was the restaurant opposite our hotel. Very busy and full of locals. One of the waiters though it was appropriate to ridicule us in front of his local clientele, I'm not precious, but I thought it was a bit rude! Food really wasn't that good, my Greek wife was more shocked than thrilled. €9.50 for 2 souvlaki and half a slice of pita bread plus the meat was really not good. Service rather annoyed and not friendly. There are better taverns in Düsseldorf.

The manager of the store spoke very badly to us. We didn't speak German and didn't understand that payment is cash only. He wanted to get the police to come for €62. Με αποτέλεσμα ο σύζυγος μου να αναγκαστεί να πάει στο ξενοδοχείο που είχαμε τα πράγματα μας και εγώ να παραμείνω στο εστιατόριο! Δεν σεβάστηκαν τη κατάσταση μου! Είναι απαράδεκτοι!
