Sehr schönes Ambiente mit einem sehr aufmerksamen Service. Die Ajoli mit Brot vorab super und die gemischte Paella waren sehr lecker und mehr als ausreichend. Preislich absolut angemessen für die gebotene Qualität. Wir konnten aufgrund einer längeren Anfahrt die Paella bereits vorbestellen, sodass die Wartezeit vor Ort nicht all zu lange war.

Wir waren in Kiel und suchten ein spannendes. Restaurant, das wir bei Google hier fanden. Die Qualität, Geschmack und Menge der Tapas waren sehr gut, alles lecker und empfehlenswert. Wenn wir wieder einmal in der Nähe sind, wissen wir nun wo wir essen gehen werden.

Unser Besuch in der Taverna del Mar in Heikendorf war rundum gelungen. Besonders begeistert hat uns die Paella – geschmacklich absolut hervorragend! Perfekt gewürzt, mit frischen Zutaten und genau auf den Punkt gegart. Man merkt sofort, dass hier mit viel Liebe und Können gekocht wird. Auch das Ambiente hat uns sehr gefallen: eine angenehme, entspannte Atmosphäre, die sofort Urlaubsgefühle aufkommen lässt. Der Service war aufmerksam, freundlich und dabei angenehm unaufdringlich – genau so, wie man es sich wünscht. Insgesamt ein tolles Restaurant, das wir definitiv weiterempfehlen können. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Wir haben unseren Hochzeitstag aufgewertet ❤️ es gab Sekt zur Begrüßung auf Kosten des Hauses 😍 das Essen hatte große und sehr leckere Tapasportionen zu angemessenen Preisen (entgegen unserer anderen Erfahrungen bei Spaniern im Grossbereich Kiel). Vom Sekt über den Salat, mit Tapas und Dessert sowie Absacker vom Wirt ein großartiger Abend, der nach Wiederholung ruft 🫶🏼 Danke! Die nächste Reservierung steht✅ Wow! Wow! Wow! Was für ein großartiger Abend wieder mit extrem leckeren Essen!!!! Danke! 🤩

So viele gute Kritiken, also hin da. Aber bei uns sprang der Funke insgesamt nicht über. Der Service war eher mittelmäßig. Geschirr wurde nicht abgeräumt und Service war eher mit der Organisation des Abends beschäftigt. Preislich waren die meisten Positionen ok, aber 0,5 l Bier für 6.-€ nervt schon. Auch sind 8,50 für zwei kleine, kalte, alte Hühnerbruststücke happig. Denn frisch waren die nicht. Da sie schon länger in der Sauce lagen waren sie dunkel geworden und sahen ziemlich unappetitlich aus. Insgesamt schmeckten die verschiedenen Tapas aber. Bei einigen war Luft nach oben und etwas mehr dürfte es dann schon sein. Eine Verabschiedung gab es dann auch nicht. Also so richtig willkommen fühlten wir uns am frühen Abend nicht. Fazit: Für uns also alles durchwachsen. Der hellhörige Gastraum ist schlicht, wirkt dunkel und irgendwie nicht gemütlich. Nachdem mehr Tische besetzt waren, wurde es auch lauter. Der Service war selten zu sehen und wirkte sehr reserviert. Das Essen war ok, aber mit Luft nach oben. An der Qualität müsste man noch schrauben. Zum Satt werden muss man schon einige Tapas bestellen. Der 5 Sterne Hurra-Jubel blieb zumindest bei uns aus. Vielleicht geben wir nochmal eine zweite Chance. Aber eine uneingeschränkte Empfehlung kann ich heute noch nicht geben.

Sehr leckeres Essen und sehr nettes Personal. Die Paela ist sehr zu empfehlen, aber man muss dran denken, sie entwender vorzubestellen oder viel Zeit mit einplanen. Das kann bis zu 45min dauern ;) Und die Soffles (Pistazie und Schoko) sind der Oberhammer!

Sehr leckerer, gemütliche Atmosphäre. Der Service ist manchmal vielleicht etwas unbeholfen, aber immer sehr freundlich. Da mir das am wichtigsten ist, trotzdem sehr gern 5 Sterne. Für Rollstuhlfahrende: Auf der unteren Ebene sind Sitzplätze, aber die Toilette ist im Keller und nur über die Treppe zu erreichen

Super leckere Tapas, leckerer Nachtisch, tolle Atmosphäre, nette Bedienung.

Wir waren zweimal da. Aber jedes Mal wurden wir enttäuscht. Die Fleischgerichte sind fade. Keine Soßen zum Fleischspiess und so langweilig, das ist kein Restaurant Essen. Aller höchstens Imbissniveau. Über die Tapas kann ich nichts sagen.

Hier passt alles! Aioli super lecker und authentisch, die Sangria echt gut, schöne Location und der Rest war auch echt gut!

Eine sehr gemütliche Tapas-Bar. Das Essen war toll, die Bedienung sehr freundlich. Die Auswahl der Speisen kann sich auch sehen lassen. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis top! Sehr empfehlenswert! 👍

Eine sehr schöne Location mit hervorragendem leckeren Essen. Der Service ist sehr gut und zuvorkommend. Sind regelmäßig hier zum Stammtisch und mit Freunden. Freuen uns auf jeden Besuch in der Taverna und genießen die Zeit sowohl im Sommer draußen und auch innen. Die Sangria wird selbst gemixt...soooo lecker. Das Lokal ist absolut weiterzuempfehlen.

We were a group of six adults who dined there for lunch today, and we were all so pleasantly surprised by the hospitality and the food… The service was incredibly friendly (just for all the guests 👍👍👍👍👍!) The food was excellent, the staff were thoughtful and thoughtful, always offering a little something extra, and showing great attention to each and every guest… We don't know what else we can say that's so positive about this tapas bar… but we will definitely be back! We were there as a couple and were absolutely thrilled! The service was fantastic, and we were shown straight to our table in the lovely main room. After asking, we were told how many tapas the restaurant recommended for two people – we followed their advice and weren't disappointed at all. The food arrived quickly and was perfectly seasoned. It was also piping hot, and the portion sizes were just right. If we hadn't already filled up for lunch, we would have ordered even more tapas! The price was also perfectly reasonable – we'll definitely be back.

Hi, we went there for brunch. Very friendly staff, great selection. The paella was amazing! They kept replenishing it, even when we asked for more. The selection changed regularly as a result. Unfortunately, the olive bread ran out quickly! There was a lack of signage. This would be helpful for those not used to tapas. The quality was good to very good. The breakfast items were individually wrapped. I'll be back!

Today was our third time at the tavern. The first two times were on vacation in 2023. Back then, we were absolutely thrilled. This time, too, the food was tasty and freshly prepared. You're happy to wait a little longer. What's unfortunately unacceptable is that you get the side salad after ordering, only to be told 30 minutes later that the rabbit is just being prepared and will take another hour. The waitress had to do that; the boss was there the whole time, the restaurant was very sparsely staffed, and unfortunately, no apology from him. What a shame. The alternative was more expensive, tasty, but not the meal I wanted. We went there with the gourmet package. That could be the reason. Unfortunately, this has made me less inclined to visit the restaurant again, which was our plan.

Excellent! We had, among other things, very good olives, cheese, the vegetable pan, spicy potatoes, and Spanish tortilla. The vegetables were perfect. It couldn't be better. Everything was of good quality. The unobtrusive Spanish guitar music in the background created a lovely ambiance. We felt like we were in Spain. We'll be back.

I particularly recommend the prawns al ajillo – simply a dream! The service was friendly, attentive, and cheerful. The staff took the time to offer recommendations and ensured we felt completely at home. The drinks selection was also impressive: Spanish red wine, sangria, and delicious cocktails rounded off the evening perfectly. The rice was perfectly cooked, aromatic, and seasoned just right. The combination of fresh seafood, tender meat, and vegetables was harmonious and a true highlight in terms of flavor. You can immediately tell that the food here is cooked with great love for Spanish cuisine. The paella was authentic, generously portioned, and served traditionally – a true piece of Spain on the Baltic Sea! The ambiance of the taverna is also beautiful: cozy, maritime, and very inviting. I arrived having already enjoyed my drinks and was delighted by the friendly staff. Sex on da Beach, Tip Top (recommendation: ask for extra strong), Aperol Spritz, incredibly delicious and the San Miguel is also fantastic. Finally tapas that aren't swimming in oil and still taste good. And even if the location in the center of town doesn't have a nice view of the lake, the ambience and service easily make up for it. Just try it out.

The restaurateur here seems to be a fine person, as far as we can judge superficially, and accordingly, he also employs fine people for the service. There are professionals at work in the kitchen, and here's the thing, no exaggeration: I enjoyed the best paella of my life here, despite the announced wait time, but quality takes time. If you agree, order it!

The German food was better than the Spanish. It was our second visit. The first was significantly better. Moorish skewer that was anything but special. Simple pieces of chicken without any special seasoning. Omelet was totally over salted. Candles were not lit, only upon request. There was still a nightcap, but the child didn't even get a sip of water as a counterpart. Shame to the five for the fact that a child is valued so little and this probably doesn't correspond to Spanish culture. We were definitely here for the last time today!

Nice staff. Ambience is okay. Unfortunately, the food is very clear and lacks the spice that is actually expected for a Spanish restaurant. A little more passion is missing in the preparation.

The decor is pretty. The service was super sweet and attentive. In terms of taste, I found the grill plate to be so-so, everything tasted a bit bland. However, the price-performance ratio wasn't right at all. For €26.90, so little on the plate, including my husband's fish plate, we actually went to McDonald's afterwards... We eat out a lot, despite the increased prices at the moment... there's definitely a different way!! I wouldn't go back.

This was our third time at the "Taverna del Mar", Heikendorf. Among other things, we ate: Champiñones al Ajo, Albondigas Españolas, Chorizos fritos, Gambas al Ajo, Paella de Carne, Crema Catalana. The quality and taste of the dishes was impeccable and having lived in Spain for a long time, I can definitely judge this. By the way, when you go out for a Spanish meal, you shouldn't be in a hurry and give the cook the time he needs. The “Taverna del Mar” is highly recommended.

This Spanish eatery is constructed around an open staircase. The service staff have to go up or down at least half a flight of stairs for each journey to the kitchen and counter. Visually, however, the facility is convincing. Anyone who knows how tapas are offered in Germany will not be surprised here. The quality of the food is at least good average. However, there were too few staff available during our visit and unfortunately that really became noticeable. I don't blame the forces, but if you have to stay half an hour longer just to be able to pay, that's just not ideal.

Our visit to Taverna Del Mar was a culinary experience in a class of its own. We were warmly welcomed from the start and immediately felt at home in the cozy atmosphere of the restaurant. For main courses we chose the grill platter and rump steak, and we were not disappointed. The grill plate was a real revelation: juicy pieces of meat, perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection. Every component, be it the tender lamb, the spicy steak or the aromatic chicken, was completely convincing. The rump steak was another highlight of the evening. It was excellently prepared, crispy on the outside and wonderfully tender and juicy on the inside. The quality of the meat was noticeable, and it was perfectly medium-rare, exactly as ordered. Fresh side dishes were served which complemented the dish harmoniously. The service was impeccable - attentive, friendly and always with a smile. Overall, our evening at Taverna Del Mar was a feast for the senses. The excellent cuisine, the attentive service and the pleasant atmosphere make this restaurant a real insider tip. The food was very tasty. Unfortunately we had to wait a long time for the food. Unfortunately, a second/third drink order also went very slowly. The staff was friendly but not on point.

It was my first time eating in the restaurant and I have to admit that the food was very good. The boss and the staff were very sweet and nice. If I visit Kiel again, I will most likely come across this restaurant again.

We had to wait over an hour for our food and it wasn't even good. The meat was not prepared well in terms of taste. (Delicious is something else) We simply expected more for the money. Then another beggar came in and waited next to us and wanted money while we ate. There are no staff larger than this. Unfortunately it was a zero number...

Paella was really delicious and the vanilla cocktail was just perfect. And the toilets were also clean and well maintained. At the end there was a small nightcap and the portions were enough for everyone to be completely full. We'd love to come back.

Unfortunately we had to wait almost an hour for food and drinks. Our reservation also went under. Unfortunately the food that was brought was incomplete. We had to eat the tapas without plates. According to the waitress, these were supposed to be brought to us straight away, but that didn't happen. Ultimately there was no discount, on the contrary, even the forgotten order was charged. Conclusion: Great atmosphere, but too much money for a very disappointing evening.

Today I ate a sensational fish platter with rosemary potatoes and a great salad and my husband had an excellent steak. Everything was lovingly decorated with fresh flowers. It tasted very good and we will definitely come back!
