Unser Aufenthalt war einfach großartig! Ausgezeichnetes Essen (vegetarisch / vegan nur zum empfehlen), super Service, tolles Ambiente! Kurz um: wir kommen wieder - absolut empfehlenswert!!❤️

Absolutely fantastic food. The service, food and atmosphere were outstanding. The phyllo wrapped feta topped with honey and sesame seeds was exquisite, the calamari perfectly done and the moussaka was excellent. Welcoming shots of ouzo were a treat. A perfect way to end our short visit to Berlin.

Really great and innovative Greek restaurant. It's great that classic Greek dishes are also available in vegetarian and vegan versions. The service is as usual Greek warm ☺️

Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Bedienung sehr einladend. Alles in allem ein wunderschöner Abend. Das Lokal ist sehr authentisch gestaltet. Besonders gefreut hat mich, dass vegan und vegetarisch eigene Seiten in der Speisekarte hatten :D

Nach einem Jahr wieder besucht und erneut total begeistert. Das Konzept hat sich zwar geändert und die Speisen sind in der heutigen Zeit angekommen, aber dennoch ist die Herzlichkeit Griechenlands hier zu Spüren. Direkt erneut gebucht um hier den Abend zu verbringen.

I think something brighter would be nicer. But the service was attentive. The food was very tasty and the portions were large enough (not exaggerated) at fair prices. I'll definitely come back when I'm back in Berlin.

A really great Greek restaurant, the dishes are very tasty and the ingredients are particularly fresh! There is also a wide range of vegan options, the service is particularly attentive and a nice atmosphere in a spacious restaurant.

Authentic Greek food. I was here a day after returning from Crete and I must say that the food tasted very original. I had the grilled octopus and it was perfectly done. Others in my group had the Cold and Hot plate, Greek Salad, Gyros, Lamb, Beef, Meze and everything was great! Service is a bit slow but the overall ambience and quality of food makes up for it.

Friendly and very attentive service that took great care of us. Food was at the table quickly and very good. To be honest, I expected something different from the garlic potatoes but the taste was convincing. Absolutely recommend eating there.

We went to Taverna Athene for the first time two months ago. During our current visit to Berlin, we immediately planned to go back and were not disappointed. Very tasty, rich food and everyone who works there is extremely friendly. It's fun to go here. Definitely again on my next visit to Berlin.

I love Greek food and came because of the positive reviews. What I found strange was that there was no tzatziki on the cold appetizer plate... When asked, the waitress said if I want tzatziki I have to order it separately. A small blob came for €6 - I thought that was unreasonably expensive! All starters - except for the Taramas, tasted bland - the spices were missing. The waiter was very nice and the atmosphere was also appealing. However, we won't be coming back. Overpriced and tasteless.

We rarely evaluate, but in this case we have to. This is the best Greek in town - very very tasty food and a large selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes. Value for money is amazing and definitely worth 5 stars. We'll definitely be back!!

Very cozy Greek tavern in Kreuzberg. The service was very nice and not in the least intrusive. The dishes were excellently prepared. I think the option to pay with card, cash or digitally is great.

Great atmosphere, close seating, and the feeling of comfort. We felt comfortable. The food comes quickly and is really good. Care is taken to ensure that all food at the table is served at the same time. The food was so plentiful that unfortunately we couldn't try any dessert. Service friendly

Service and ambience great as always. I haven't been there for a long time and found that the prices have risen significantly but the portions are much smaller. Really a shame.

Great food and big portions! Recommended for vegans as they have a whole menu dedicated for both starters and main dishes, we’ve also been kindly offered some ouzo once seated. They also gave us some water for our dog 🐕 Overall a very good experience, I’d like to go back if I have the chance.

Wonderful food and a very familiar atmosphere and service

I didn't know the restaurant until now, only from seeing it, but I had won dinner with an influencer. I went there without much expectation but was very pleasantly surprised. Cozy atmosphere, extremely friendly and attentive service, and the food was really, really good. We each had a starter and dessert to share and each had a main course and all three courses were very tasty. The service also gave us great advice and recommended food and wine. I'll definitely come back!

They didn't have the food we wanted. And they don't speak English at all. We didn't understand her that well and she got mad and yelled at us.

Get a reservation! The food is excellent and the waiters are very friendly, attentive and funny. We had a blast.

I had the pleasure of dining with friends at this wonderful Greek restaurant this evening and it was absolutely gorgeous! The atmosphere was inviting and cozy, perfect for a relaxing evening. The selection of dishes was impressive. I chose a vegetarian dish that was fresh and full of flavor. My friends chose various Greek specialties and they were amazed by the quality and taste of the food. I would particularly like to emphasize the friendly and attentive service. The staff were not only nice, but also recommended delicious dishes that made our evening even better. The homemade lemonade was refreshing and the desserts were a real treat! I can highly recommend this restaurant. It is the perfect place to enjoy Greek cuisine and spend an unforgettable evening with friends. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

rate is like this because it was obvious that they wanted us to pay more, "let's say"... I ordered 1 dl of wine, they brought 2dl, okay come on, then we ordered a starter that costs 14 euros, some kind of spread with some beans on a regular plate (with hair) - we didn't complain (lucky I didn't notice it right away) for the main we ordered sharing some of their selection, price 21.90 which should have been enough for two people, I asked if it was enough and she said yes for two. The bill was 80 euros, hmm appetizer 14, main 21.90 wuth included salat and tsaziki and two beers and 2dl of wine, is that 80 euros??! To make matters even better, we didn't even receive a bill, only a confirmation of card payment. Gyros in the main dish are dry and greasy. All in all, I would not recommend.

I highly recommend Taverna Athene! The service here is simply fantastic – super friendly and attentive. We were served really courteously, which we really appreciated. We ordered the baked gyro with Metaxa sauce and fries, and it was simply delicious. Finally, we treated ourselves to the chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream and homemade cream – also absolutely delicious. The ambience is very appealing and the entire location always appears well-kept and inviting. We will definitely come back to Taverna Athene on our next stay in Berlin. A real highlight of our trip!

This place is highly recommended! The Greek food, also vegetarian, was excellent! The staff exceptionally friendly! The restaurant and the toilets are also very clean. Hospitality is very important here! A big compliment to the kitchen and the head of the house. We would love to come back!

Staff friendly and competent. They were also able to provide very good information about allergens. Food was very tasty, could have been a little more, but it was okay. Tip: The self-made lemonade with ouzo is very tasty!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An absolutely fantastic Greek restaurant! As soon as you enter the restaurant you are greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The menu offers an excellent selection of traditional dishes and each one was a delight. The gyros and souvlaki in particular were incredibly tasty and authentic. The portions are generous and the price-performance ratio is good. The service was friendly, attentive and accommodating - you just feel comfortable here. I will definitely come back and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Greek food.

Super cute and caring service. This restaurant has such a good vegan and non vegan menu. And it’s super special that vegan and non-vegan people can basically eat the exact same dishes. It’s honestly really really good also in taste; especially the vegan tzatziki is outstanding and barely recognizable as vegan. 10/10 recommend

Food is good, friendly service, cozy atmosphere (except for the street noise if you happen to sit outside). Unfortunately, the menu and prices (increasing) have been changing too often lately. Personally, I thought it was better 2 to 3 years ago. And the portions have also become smaller. Therefore only 4 stars!

Delicious and diverse dishes, the large vegan menu is worth highlighting! Ouzo comes with ice crystals and the service is quick and friendly. Only the prices are higher (which is what you are usually used to with Greeks).

Very great restaurant, the service here is great (very friendly staff and drinks and food came quickly), the quality of the meat, side dishes and sauces. The highlight for me was the dessert that was recommended to me, a kind of the house's own creation, something like that that I'm always excited about. Therefore 5 out of 5 stars. I'd love to come back on my next trip to Berlin.

It's a shame, that was our last visit - we've been here several times before! We were here on a beautiful summer evening and also got a nice seat inside because the outside area was full. After a while we were given a dollop of tzatziki and some bread. After a long wait, the boss's son came to us and explained that we hadn't ordered it and asked why we had eaten the bread and tzatziki. We were supposed to pay for the tzatziki, even though we hadn't ordered it and thought it was a greeting. We were frightened and felt like we had sneaked something. We agreed to pay... and then were ignored: no order for drinks or food taken. Not to mention an apology because it was the staff's mistake. We lost our appetite and decided to leave. Even when paying for the drop of tzatziki, there was no apology, but rather the accusation that we shouldn't be like that. This is not what Greek hospitality looks like!

About a year ago I was with my class on a school trip to the hotel next door and my teacher recommended this restaurant to me. With good reason! The food came pretty quickly and was super tasty. The staff were super friendly and super helpful. The ambience is also beautiful in Greek style. There is also great music playing to match the atmosphere. If you don't like garlic, you're unfortunately a little limited here, but you'll still find enough. All in all, the restaurant is definitely a must! Thank you for the great evening!! :)

Ich war ungefähr vor einem Jahr mit meiner Klasse auf Klassenfahrt im Hotel nebenan, und meine Lehrerin hatte mir dieses Restaurant empfohlen. Mit gutem Grund! Das Essen kam ziemlich schnell und super lecker. Die Angestellten waren super freundlich und Super hilfsbereit. Das Ambiente ist auch wunderschön im griechischen Style. Außerdem läuft auch tolle Musik zum passenden Flair. Wer kein Knoblauch mag ist hier leider ein wenig eingeschränkt, aber man findet trotzdem genug. All in all Ist das Restaurant Auf jeden Fall ein Muss! Danke für den tollen Abend!! :)

My wife chose the Vegan Moussaka, which was a delightful surprise with rich blend of roasted vegetables and a creamy béchamel sauce, making it a standout vegan dish. The Souflaki was grilled with a perfect char that added depth to its flavor. Accompanied by a side of fresh tzatziki and pita, it was a meal that transported us straight to the heart of Greece. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure we were comfortable throughout our meal. Their genuine hospitality enhanced our overall dining experience. It felt like a great value for the delicious and authentic Greek cuisine we enjoyed.

Colleagues recommended the tavern to me as their favorite Greek restaurant. My expectations were correspondingly high. The food tasted quite good, unfortunately the price-performance ratio wasn't right for me. I find the portions sufficient but too expensive. What bothered me the most was the sanitary facilities. Broken soap dispensers, rusted brush holders and an indefinable dirty object on the floor under the broken soap dispenser. Probably an old sponge or cleaning rag. I don't expect a marble hall, but cleanliness and intact furnishings. That's why I won't be coming back the next time I visit Berlin.

That was unique! I was in the restaurant for the second time in a row and today everything was surpassed: the food was great again, but I was lucky that the owner (I didn't know) Pano took my order. In 4 decades, no one has ever cared and thought so meticulously about my food allergies. I have never encountered this kind of attention in countless trips around the world. That deserves a prize!
