Nettes griechisches Restaurant. Gute Portionen und super lecker. Wir kommen wieder!

Der beste Grieche, mit dem ich jemals gegessen habe. Einfach mal geschmacklich was wirklich besonderes. Tolle, authentische Gerichte und hohe Qualität. Sehr freundliche Bedienung und ein schönes Ambiente. Kann man nur jedem weiter empfehlen. Wenn man wirklich authentisch, griechisch essen möchte und hohe Qualität bekommen will.

Wir sind heute mit 7 Personen zu Gast gewesen. Bei der Anzahl an einem Wochenende mit Reservierung. Das Lokal hat keine eigenen Parkplätze. Dafür das wir an einem Freitag Abend dort waren war erstaunlich viel freier Platz zum Parken. Da wir zusätzlich 2 Fellnasen als Begleitung hatten wurde kurzfristig ein anderer Tisch für uns vorbereitet. Alle Speisen waren lecker und sahen sehr appetitlich aus. Der Service hat den ganzen Abend abgerundet. Fazit: Sehr empfehlenswert und wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Tolles Essen in schönem Ambiente. Hier ist man für ein gutes Abendessen super aufgehoben. Servicekräfte sind ausgesprochen nett. Wir empfehlen das Restaurant ohne Einschränkungen weiter.

Ein großartiges authentisches Restaurant. Schöne Ambiente. Übersichtliche Speisekarte und tolles Essen.

Ich kann es empfehlen, ich war schon zweimal dort, netter Service, gutes Essen.

Es war relativ voll als wir Samstagabend dort gegessen haben - ich empfehle telefonische Reservierung vorab. Ich empfand es als relativ laut. An sich ist das Restaurant recht nett eigentlich und man versucht das griechische Gefühl zu erreichen. Jeder Tisch hat sein eigenes kleines Tablet mit Olivenöl, Balsamic, Pfeffer und Salz das laut Verpackung aus Griechenland stammen soll. Das Olivenöl hat eher Standart Qualität, also nicht das was man normalerweise in Griechenland nimmt um sein Brot zu tunken. Das warme und frische, lockere Weißbrot das einem am Anfang an den Tisch gebracht wird war sehr angenehm und in der aktuellen Zeit eine nette Überraschung. Die Preise send als entweder happig anzusehen oder der Wirtschaftslage entsprechend. Es wurde auf unsere begrenzten Sonderwünsche (Krautsalat statt Bohnen) eingegangen. Die Portionsgrößen sind angemessen, jedoch kann bei den angegebenen Gewichten der Fleischkomponente davon ausgegangen werden, dass zum einen roh gewogen wurde und zum anderen auch eher großzügig geschätzt wurde. Das Fleisch war lecker aber einen Hauch zu wenig für den Preis. Für alle die hier Krautsalat bestellen, bitte seid euch bewusst, dass ihr einen eher cremigen Krautsalat bekommt ungefähr das was man bei besseren Bürger Restaurants als Coleslaw erhält. Es waren ein paar kleine Apfelstückchen drin, von den angekündigten Nüssen hab ich nichts mitbekommen. Der Service war nett und recht flott angesichts der vielen Gäste. Am Ende haben wir knapp 50€ für 2 Hauptgerichte und zwei kleine Softdrinks bezahlt. Ich bin letztlich etwas überrascht das mir das Restaurant so empfohlen wurde. Es ist nett aber nichts was hervorsticht. Das es meist gut besucht ist liegt wohl daran das es in Dorsten ansonsten keinen Griechen auf ähnlichem Niveau gibt. Parkplätze sind schwer zu finden - ist halt die Innenstadt.

Wir waren heute das erste mal da, wir sind mehr als begeistert!!!!! Richtig leckeres und feines Essen und der Service lässt keine Wünsche offen......bitte macht weiter so!!!!!!

The drinks took a very long time to arrive, and the same went for the food. The food didn't taste good; the pork skewers were tough and not really hot. I ordered dessert but never received it despite asking several times. The staff were friendly but, in my opinion, overwhelmed.

A slightly different restaurant than usual. No mixed grills, etc., but instead a selection of dishes that aren't commonly found elsewhere. We were very satisfied, but the variety was lacking.

We had another fantastic meal. He doesn't cook like a "typical Greek restaurant – as you'd expect in Germany." He cooks like they do in Greece, not for tourists!

The four of us had a wonderful evening there. The food was delicious, and the service was incredibly friendly and attentive. We'll definitely be back.

The food was okay, not quite as good as under Angelo's, but the service was attentive and friendly. The owner, however, was having a bad day. After almost 90 minutes, when we asked where our food was, he finally brought it but showed little interest in addressing our criticism. Afterwards, he backtracked somewhat and blamed his team. But that's just not how you behave; no owner should act like that. We used to go there often, but that was the last time! What a shame!

What can I say? Definitely a definite recommendation! We've been to Greece twice this year, but the best bifteki was there, and the lamb shank is also worth recommending!

We've enjoyed going to this restaurant for years; the food was always very good and the service very warm and competent. The ambiance was also very nice. Even when the restaurant changed hands, everything was initially as we were used to. However, we've since noticed that the quality of the food has declined, and the service isn't the same either. You get the feeling that something's wrong behind the scenes. Outside, there are still plastic tablecloths, and inside, too, table linens are being skimped on. The glasses are no longer carefully polished, and some of the food is oversalted. Many wines are no longer available. Sometimes the drinks aren't chilled sufficiently, and drinking a wine with ice cubes is basically unacceptable. With the chef, you sometimes get the feeling that he doesn't care about his guests at all. That's a shame; it was Dorsten's only restaurant with this quality and a reasonable price-performance ratio.

We had a wonderful meal on Sunday. Despite the rain, we managed to get a table inside. The waitress was excellent. Fast, friendly, and great service! The food was delicious!

Very good food at a normal price level

Unfortunately, we were turned away under the pretext that everything was fully booked. Another guest was then truthfully told that there was a shortage of kitchen staff. It's a shame we didn't get to enjoy it.

We went there once after the change of ownership. It was still perfect. The food was incredibly delicious. They don't serve gyros, which isn't a bad thing at all. Instead, they offer other excellent dishes. The atmosphere is also very nice, and the staff is super nice and friendly. The weekly menu is also highly recommended. I highly recommend stopping by.

It's rare to find such a stylish Greek restaurant that doesn't have a chip shop feel (of course, these Greek restaurants are also great). The appetizers are definitely a 10/10. The main courses were also very satisfying. The decor is super cute and stylish. Definitely worth a visit.

A fantastic Greek restaurant! We stumbled upon this Greek restaurant by chance and were rewarded in every way! But if you're expecting gyros in all variations and various meat-filled grilled dishes, you've come to the wrong place. Instead, there are a variety of Greek specialties, from grilled baby calamari, loukaniko, keftededakia to souvlaki chirino, and much more. What we ate here exceeded all expectations and was a true delight. Finally, souvlaki like I remember from Methana! The service is also top-notch: the two girls who served us were super friendly, attentive, and, to top it all off, pretty! The ambiance is very pleasant, and the location, on the edge of the city center, is also very good. All in all, a Greek restaurant that is highly recommended!

Price performance was rather so-so

Griechisch ganz ursprünglich ohne Giros … wer das erleben will, ist hier richtig. Wir haben uns für Fisch entschieden. Die Fischsuppe, üppig mit Fisch gefüllt, war Genuss pur. Und auch das Dreierlei mit Octopus & Co auf Reis war sehr lecker. Der Service äußerst freundlich, die Location mit den schönen Bildern an der Wand ließen einem fast in Griechenland sein - mitten in Dorsten. Eine echte Entdeckung auf unserer Durchreise. Nächstes Mal sind wir wieder hier!

The food was great. Had a stew and it was buttery tender. Simply really delicious. The tzatziki is very good.

The birthday party in these rooms was very nice. The food was delicious, lots of little things, lovingly put together. We'll be back.

It's been a place for a long time where we were completely satisfied. Friendly welcome with a smile, on Easter Sunday without a reservation, no problem a table for two is still possible. Furnishings and colors, you feel like you are close to the sea. The fruity rose, the homemade bread, the dip variation, everything was great. We're looking forward to exploring the entire map. Not your typical Greek, something different, a little more sophisticated. We enjoyed it, with plenty of starters, cold beer (Myth made from iced glass) and the main course. The portions are sufficient and the price is reasonable. At the end there was a small sample of the cake and a small nightcap as a greeting from the house.

Very nice restaurant. Maybe a little tight, at least in the winter garden, but that's okay. The dishes are really very good, be it the starter, the main course or the dessert. Everything is very nicely presented and of good quality. The waitresses are very nice and friendly. The price-performance ratio is right. I can only recommend it!

Nice ambience, nice service. The bread is great, the fish is very tasty. Only the spinach wasn't that great, but there was a small selection of desserts on the house.

Explanation for awarding stars: Food, service and ambience deserve your stars. Been there again for the 1st time after changing ownership. We got a great table in the winter garden - the greeting and taking the order were very nice. MY first drink was served to me on my pants and sweat jacket - not bad at all - it can happen. Actually worse - bread is put on the table (only bread). There were 4 of us and we waited for some time as ONLY bread was unusual for us. When asked, the nice waitress said that you had to order tzatziki or dip with it - WHAAAT? It's never happened to me on many holidays in Greece or other Greek restaurants that I get dry bread and have to buy spread to go with it - well... the food was delicious. Regarding payment: I was probably within the limit and was able to pay by card. Our friends wanted this too, but were asked to pay in cash because their bill was under €80 (€74). That's all I'm saying - Germany is a service desert. We like to vacation in neighboring countries and no one there flinches when I pay for a scoop of ice cream or a piece of cake with my card. I wasn't offered any drinks or other (just small) discounts, even though I smelled like a train station bar since the baptism with my first beer. We had a fun evening there with our friends, but one or two things could have gone better. Hopefully my assessment is not picky, it is an honest description of how we experienced the evening.

We were here yesterday for the New Year's Eve menu. Whatever you have experienced and eaten so far. That was a top menu today. Everything tasted fantastic. A culinary delight. We will definitely come back.

Food was good, but when it came to paying, we were told that payment was possible in cash. No information about this beforehand and you get into a lot of trouble in such a situation. In a seven-month-old review, the excuse was that it was related to a change in the card payment service. Now this has been excused by saying that the restaurant's suppliers insist on payment in cash. An absolutely pathetic excuse.

In my opinion, the ambience in Taverna Angelos has improved significantly since the change of ownership. The menu has been slightly adjusted or optimized, which has not harmed the quality of the food. I and we are always satisfied with the service and the extensive selection on the menu.

A few weeks ago I was at Taverna Angelos with two friends and can only report positively. The service is first class, fast, friendly and accommodating. The food is in no way inferior. We all tried different dishes from each other - super tasty!! Simply great!! Overall, a thoroughly successful evening!! I can only recommend this restaurant :)!!

The service is very attentive and friendly.

By far the worst Greek we've been to. The restaurant was empty and you had to first check whether there was a table available 🙈 The service wasn't friendly. The olive oil in the farmer's salad was of very poor quality. Not worth a visit at all, except for wine-drinking hipsters. There are better Greek restaurants elsewhere where you can go.

Eleven of us met there for a drink and then went to the theater, but we hadn't reserved a table. Despite being full, the staff were very friendly and tolerated us. Thanks for that

I was there today as part of my 30th birthday. There were two of us. Such a friendly, nice, cozy shop with lovely, great staff and really tasty and good food. I was invited and my expectations were completely exceeded, despite previous high praise! Very very good food! It won't be the last time there. Thanks :)

Rather an average restaurant with long waiting times for the menu, drinks and food. Although there were very few guests in the restaurant and winter garden. There was no gyros, no kritharaki and almost no garlic in the tzatziki. All in all, very manageable. Oh yes, the ability to take criticism on site as well.

We ate at the taverna with our family of 25 people. Both the starters and the main courses were delicious and well prepared. The service was top, the atmosphere is also very nice and we felt very comfortable. Of course we'll be back.

It seemed to us that only the regular guests were given priority. And despite our open nature and lots of tips (although the service was very slow and not really friendly), we had the impression of not being welcome. We clearly didn't feel comfortable. That's why we don't come anymore.

My wife and I were guests at Angelos on Saturday. We were very happy with the staff and the food was delicious. Update: My wife and I were guests of the new owner again today! We were always very satisfied. The food was very delicious and the service was really polite and friendly. Like his predecessors, the new boss is very friendly and was nice to talk to. Very nice original Greek restaurant with very tasty and special original Greek dishes. Very friendly and competent staff and the boss also personally looks after the well-being of the guests. Beautiful ambience with a great winter garden that gives guests that Mediterranean holiday feeling. We'd love to come back.

It was so incredibly tasty and the staff was super friendly. Again and again!

I went to this restaurant to eat. When I tried to pay there I was told that I had to pay in cash. This was neither communicated when ordering nor was it apparent on the menu. We were treated like drunks instead of being apologized for the unpleasant situation we were put in. So far I've been a regular. Apparently there was a change of ownership. Now the charm and the warm treatment of guests is gone. We won't be coming back again.

With benevolent 4 points due to the nice service. Actually only 3!!! Coleslaw delicious...souvlaki pork well made, but you have to like the mixed one, the not fries unfortunately very soggy, taste ok. Moussaka ok. The ambience is very nice, but the loose railing to the winter garden is not possible as it endangers safety and needs to be repaired immediately!!!!

We went to this great restaurant yesterday! Super delicious food! They even conjured up a super delicious children's plate for our little son. The ambience is great! We were there for a family birthday. The food was worth every penny. Fish and meat dishes were excellent. The octopus was tender, as was the steak. The daily menu was also great and the desserts were massive. In addition to the courteous staff, it was a very great atmosphere overall. Sure, it was a bit cramped because it was a small place, but it was also cozy. We recommend, we'd love to come back.

Very nice restaurant with slightly different Greek cuisine. No mountains of meat from the grill. We were there with four people. Lamb shank, kokkinisto (beef goulash) and bifteki were very tasty. Then typical Greek dessert and a small mocha. What more could a person want? So if you want to try out the "different" Greek cuisine, you're in good hands here.

We were there today with 2 adults and 2 children. The restaurant has a very cozy atmosphere and the winter garden invites you to linger. The furnishings are excellently decorated in Greek style. The staff is extremely friendly, accommodating and always tries to make sure you don't miss anything. The menu is clear and beautifully designed. There is something for every palate - from fish to meat and vegetarian. The food is served beautifully prepared and tastes excellent. The prices are absolutely right and you get great quality for your money. We would love to come back and look forward to our next visit.

Ambiance only 3 because we sat on the street. I usually go to the Greek because the Greek chip shops have almost the same thing. BUT I have to revise it, first of all the service was great and even picked out a good vino for us. The feta cheese from the oven, prawns and the lamb fillet are super cool. We can't get rid of the place... been there for the second time today, everything I wrote is no longer up to date. Service no longer like 2 stars, food a maximum of 1 star. What happened ??????

Auffallend Gute Karte und interessante Gerichte - das Essen war dementsprechend sehr gut - der Service ließ keine Wünsche offen - das Ambiente war in Ordnung! Reservierung ist sinnvoll ! Wir werden Wiederkommen!

Ja ich wollte Gyros essen....das gibt es hier nicht. Ok...habe dann Souflaki bestellt leider zäh....Pommes maschik... Was soll ich sagen....Gaststätte viel zu dunkel.

Vorspeise, Hauptgericht und Dessert waren mehr als ausgezeichnet. Es war purer Genuss. Man merkt hier, dass das Kochen eine Leidenschaft ist. Bei sogenannten Sterneköchen war das Essen deutlich schlechter. Die sehr einfache und harte Bestuhlung im Wintergarten steht im krassen Gegensatz zu dem hervorragenden Essen. Hier könnte nachgebessert werden.
