Wir waren seit langem wieder im Ambrosius, das wir seit vielen Jahren kennen. Anlass war eine Geburtstagsfeier. Anscheinend hat sich die Bewirtschaftung im letzten Jahr geändert. Leider gibt es das alte Ambrosius nicht mehr. Die Vorspeisenteller waren sehr übersichtlich. Die Hauptspeisen waren ok. Der angebliche Retsina war kaum als solcher erkennbar. Um 22.00 Uhr wurden wir praktisch aus dem Lokal hinauskomplementiert. Trotz einer Zeche von 600 € gab es nicht mal eine Nachfrage nach einem Getränk auf Kosten des Hauses. Dies war unser letzter Besuch dort.

It was my favorite place for a long time. Unfortunately, prices have been increased several times since Corona. Anatolitiko, for example, suddenly costs 21.90 euros, well under 20 euros before Christmas. The food is okay, but not sensational. I will rarely visit the restaurant anymore. The price-performance ratio is simply no longer right. Very unfortunate.

Nice Greek restaurant. We were warmly welcomed and shown to our table. Unfortunately this was quite small for 8 people. The food came quickly and was delicious. Even though the portions were small at first glance, they were still adequate. I ordered the gyros with potatoes and tzatziki, which was delicious. At the end the restaurant gave us a free ouzo (thanks). I'd love to come back.

My wife and I appreciate the small but fine restaurant. You can tell that the food is freshly made, because every now and then, when it's too late, it's mentioned that some things are no longer available, which is of course a shame, but it makes it clear that nothing is even thawed here. Tasty food and homely atmosphere.

The restaurant is not necessarily quiet, but has a relatively large outdoor area. We went here quite often. We won't do it anymore. Offering a meat platter for €26.50 that cost €19.00 last year at a reduced price is a mess. Three years ago there was the same dish for €17.00 - much more lavish, with ouzo. Well, the owner was never very friendly, but at least she was Greek. Now we are greeted in Italian at these outrageous prices. We are more than shocked by the development of Greek restaurants in Berlin. You are not high-class restaurants, but rather good-bourgeois. Come back to this, my appeal. Ambrosius, you will never see us like this again. Too bad

We have actually been enthusiastic regulars for a few months... actually, our polite request and question for understanding as pensioners with little money for half a portion = therefore half the price, was rudely rejected = an indictment in contrast to understanding restaurants . Furthermore, recently, unfortunately and unbelievably, the boss no longer greets you. An absurdity = customer service/customer loyalty is non-existent. Very unfortunate and disappointing!

After I was served an absolutely subterranean gyro some time ago, completely dry, unseasoned, tough and indefinable meat, I thought everyone deserved a second chance. Unfortunately, the chef managed, which I didn't think was possible, to lower the quality even further. After I reported this to the service staff, the plate was cleared away. We got an ouzo as compensation, but the inedible food was paid for in full. Sorry, this bar won't see me anymore. It's a shame because the food used to be really good.

Nice atmosphere, attentive and friendly and funny staff, but one of the worst pastitsios I've ever eaten. Very mushy and barely seasoned. My counterpart had gyros, which could hardly be drier and tougher. A pity!

Good food for a good price. The portions are quite large and we all enjoyed it very much. The employees are also very friendly and you felt comfortable.

Clear recommendation, very nice young team. For me the portions were just right, not too much, not too little. The acoustics are also good in the store so you can have a good conversation. We sat in the corner seat and it was really good and nice.

It's a shame, the food here used to be much better and tastier. We wanted to be nostalgic for old times and go out to eat there again. First you were deliberately ignored before you were assigned your table. Unfortunately the food was just average! The meat was dry and tough, a small dollop of tzatziki and the rice noodles were rubbery. It's a real shame, especially since the price was really steep. There were three of us and all three meals were not worth the money. The noise was annoyingly loud and the service was terrible. We don't have to go there again, sorry.

Sehr guter Grieche , gutes Preis Leistungsverhältnis. Neuer Beitrag: Wir sind heute nach langer Zeit ca. 4 Jahre wieder dort gewesen. Es war erstmal schön zu sehen, das immernoch die selbe Familie das Lokal führt und sie somit die Coronazeit überstanden haben. Wir können nur sagen, das das Essen nach wie vor sehr sehr lecker ist und ein Besuch dort immernoch absolut lohnt. Essen wie gewohnt sehr lecker und Preise absolut in Ordnung. Fazit: Sehr empfehlenswert 👍

Lovely Greek food served by a very nice young man. Reasonable prices in a warm, cosy atmosphere. Come around a second time and you will be treated to some free ouzo and a thankful host.

Wir haben einen Tisch reserviert und sind mit Kollegen (7) in das Restaurant gegangen. Bis die Vorspeise kam, hat es fast 1,5 Stunden gedauert. Hauptgericht ließ dann auch nochmal 45 min auf sich warten. Getränke kamen teilweise erst nach einer zweiten Bestellung ä. Von Seiten den Restaurants kam zwar eine Entschuldigung, aber etwas Entgegenkommen, wie z.B. das Ausgeben eines Ouzo kam niemandem in den Sinn. Restaurant kann man nicht empfehlen, es dauert einfach zu lange.

Die Hauptspeise ; Souflaki war gut der Zaziki dazu sehr mild. Das Fleisch sehr gut. Der Salat zum Anfang; leider nur Eisberg Salat ein paar Stängel Ruccola ein Stück Mohrrübe. Sehr mager. Finde ich überteuert .

das ambrosios kenne ich schon seit über 20 jahren. das restaurant ist ein sehr netter familienbetrieb. ausgezeichnete griechische küche. gute auswahl an getränken, freundlicher service. auch das preis- leistungsverhältnis stimmt hier.

Das Essen war super lecker. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Ich habe griechisch schon viel besser gegessen. Beim Service ist ebenfalls noch Luft nach oben.

Essen war okay, aber für die Preise doch sehr übersichtlich. Wartezeiten waren sehr lang, obwohl es nicht voll war und wenn man nicht ordentlich Trinkgeld gibt, bekommt man auch keinen Ouzo zum Schluss. War eine Erfahrung, aber brauchen wir nicht noch einmal.

Die Taverna Ambrosius ist ein sehr sympathischer Familienbetrieb. Die Küche ist vielseitig, auch für Vegetarier_innen gibt es leckere Angebote - Das Restaurant ist liebevoll eingerichtet und in der Abendsonne sitzt es sich draußen sehr schön!

Sehr gutes griechisches Restaurant mit eine großen Auswahl. Freundlicher und aufmerksamer Service. Wir hatten die Dorade und die Lammhüfte und die sardellen als Vorspeise. Richtig lecker. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Und das Brot war warm 🫶

Griechische Gemütlichkeit im Service gehört eben dazu, wenn man dieses absolut leckere Essen genießen möchte - oder ;-). Hier noch ein Hinweis auf aktuelle Rezessionen zu Thema Corona Regeln in der Taverna Ambrosios: Dieses Restaurant ist eines der wenigen, dass tatsächlich die aktuelle vierte Verordnung des Berliner Senats umsetzt! Deshalb sind für mich die jüngsten Anmerkungen in zumindest zwei Rezessionen einfach nicht nach vollziehbar, zumal die schreibenden Personen bestätigen, dass sie gegen geltenden Recht verstoßen haben/wollten. Demnächst kann man auch wieder im Außenbereich in der Taverna Ambrosios speisen und trinken, ein Moment auf den ich mich sehr freue.

Ik heb zelden zo slecht gegeten als hier. Het eten dreef in het vet. Het eten was duidelijk opgewarmd in de magnetron. Het was hoogstens lauw en van de (gevulde) paprika en aubergine was weinig meer over dan een van vet doordrenkt vaag herkenbaar floddertje. Borden gingen halfvol weer terug. Ook op andere tafels zag ik na vertrek “volle” borden. Wat is er gebeurd? De beoordeling door TA was goed.

Heute sollte unser 2.Versuch stattfinden. Beim letzten Mal gefiel uns das ruhige fast leere Restaurant, nicht um etwas besonderes zu essen sondern zur Alternative von Thai Take Away und Döner zu essen. Heute kamen wir erneut und wurden von einer unfreundlichen alten Dame begrüßt, die unsere Impfzertifikate und Booster wie üblich prüfte. Leider hatte ich nach einer Reise zwar Karten, Versichertenkarte und nur eine Kopie meines Ausweises auf dem Handy dabei, trotz vollständiger Zertifikate, lehnte sie gepaart mit leicht verwirrter Gestik (oder betrunken) uns ab, nachdem Sie mich bat es jetzt der Polizei zu erklären. Zu guter letzt zeigte sie auf mich und meinte schade für das Baby (Meine Frau ist gerade sichtbar schwanger). Was das zu bedeuten hat, will ich mir lieber nicht vorstellen.
