It's so delicious, we ate the coxinha (chicken croquette), tapioca cubes, fried cassava, and cheese bread. And for dessert, the coconut kiss cake was incredible! Absolutely delicious!!! I'll definitely be back!

Nice brazilan vibe, brazilian food with a gourmet touch, but still there's the "prato feito" (prepared dish) that is a basic brazilian meal to help a brazilian far from home. Shout out to Alex on the service, nice guy!

The meat was cooked well but unfortunately tough and bland. The rest of the dishes were boring and lacked flavor. Hey, but none of us have ever been to Brazil. No idea if it's authentic.

The prices felt quite high, especially considering the portion size of the main dish, which had very little meat for €27, and a rather average glass of wine for €8.50. The overall quality was also just average. I’m not sure I would return.

An amazing little place that turned out to be the best meal we had on our visit to Berlin. We came here originally as we saw it had a good gluten free menu and we don't get much opportunity to eat Brazilian food in the UK. The atmosphere was so cosy after a day spent wandering round in Berlin's November weather, with it being a nice and intimate setup, the lighting meant it was very relaxing and comfortable. Both the food and drinks were amazing and considering how much we ate and drank, the bill at the end was very reasonable too. We were waited on by Alex who was very chatty and personable, making us laugh and feel welcome. He seems to love his job and it definitely showed in the service he gave to us. If we lived in Berlin this would definitely be a regular place to visit for us but unfortunately we were only here for a short break. This place is definitely worth a visit if you're in the city and is an easy walk from nearby transport links so all the more reason to go (but make sure you book as it's clear from the full tables that it's very popular!)

I ordered a feijoada fritter and then a shrimp bobó. For dessert, coconut kisses. Very good! I recommend it. 👏🏻

The place was comfortable with decent Brazilian food. However, the wait times ⏰ and prices 💸 were quite high, and I didn't feel the single tapioca, pao de queijo, and plantain justified the cost 😔

The food at this tapioca restaurant is truly delicious – authentic flavors that instantly transport you to Brazil! The cocktails are also absolutely fantastic and definitely a highlight of the evening. What I find a bit disappointing is that ordering is done almost entirely via mobile phone, and you pay before the food arrives. Ordering the traditional way through a waiter costs 10% more, which feels somewhat impersonal and detracts from the personal touch. However, the staff did come by at the end and were friendly, which improved the overall impression. Another downside: the prices aren't cheap. Overall, great food and fantastic drinks, but the ordering system isn't really my cup of tea.

We had a delicious meal and a lovely evening in a pleasant atmosphere. The selection of dishes was extensive, and everything was very tasty. The service was very friendly and quick. We would love to come back again. 🙂

As a Brazilian, I can say that the food and service are both excellent. Alex, our waiter, is super friendly and very professional. I specially recommend the feijoada. Have been here twice and will definitivelly come back in my next visit to Berlin.

Place is a heaven for celiacs. Everything on their menu is gluten free (except for beer)! I didn’t understand the obsession of the waiter(s) to use the QR code to order and pay from your phone, I found it quite bothersome… but aside from that, everything was delicious :)

Excellent service! The food was very good, but a bit pricey for the small portions. I found the coxinha (chicken croquette) a bit strange; it had a chicken bone with lots of cheese and breaded dough, but zero chicken in the filling. However, the tapiocas and snacks were great.

I received excellent service from the Palmeiras-supporting waiter. A really nice guy. The food was impeccable; I took my Irish girlfriend and she fell in love with the tapioca and especially the house's special hot sauce. 10 out of 10!

Ordering via barcode is convenient, but very impersonal. Speaking of data protection: you have to provide your information, including your phone number and credit card details. The drinks menu doesn't specify quantities; for example, a Spritz doesn't specify ingredients or alcohol content. Plus, there are more ice cubes per drink...and it's not exactly cheap. Overall, the place lacks warmth and hospitality. The owner seems to be unable to handle criticism. He comes across as very arrogant.

Today was our fourth or fifth visit here. We were always in a positive mood and were happy that this restaurant had survived the coronavirus pandemic. The last time we were here in November 2024, we felt it wasn't as impersonal as it is today! We had reserved a table for two for my birthday. When we arrived, we were surprised that they only communicated in English, which is unfortunately normal in Berlin these days. At our table, we were quickly and somewhat unclearly told that we had to order via QR code (you used to get a menu here!). It's also strange that you save 10% online using a QR code, while it's 10% more expensive to order directly at the counter or with the waiter (do they still exist here?). I'm absolutely not a fan of QR code menus and think it's still appropriate for a restaurant to give guests a menu; it's part of the "SERVICE" in my opinion. The next absurdity: if you want to order via QR code, you can only use a credit card or Google Pay! Hello, are you serious? We actually wanted to leave the restaurant immediately, and my partner then asked at the counter for a regular order so we could pay with an EC card, which means paying the 10% extra for "SERVICE." The fact that you pay the bill before you get your food doesn't feel like a restaurant at all; it feels more like a fast-food restaurant or snack bar. Unfortunately, we didn't get a receipt, because the next strange thing was that we showed the counter staff our order from our phone, and the total amount was exactly the same. However, one meal was missing at the end, and we were told we didn't order it... Unfortunately, without a receipt, it's impossible to prove it. According to the counter staff, we didn't order the food, but I wonder why the amount was the same for him as it was for us on the phone with the dish included? Since neither I nor my partner were in the mood for a conversation or discussion in English, we quickly left the restaurant, completely disappointed. Is this really the future of how the smartphone generation imagines cozy dining? I'm a trained chef myself, and I actually learned during my training that "SERVICE" is the be-all and end-all of a restaurant, but that's really out of place here. Even though we tipped 10% out of courtesy, it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. What did I tip for? For no "SERVICE," or for at least having a drink and food brought to my table? I'm sure they used to come with a dip for the cassava fries, but now it costs extra at €7.90 for a small bowl. Do you really need to coax guests out of their pockets for a small dip? (Since I come from the restaurant industry myself, no one needs to tell me that a dip for €7.90 isn't included and will drive the restaurant into ruin.) The food is still good, but unfortunately, that was somewhat dampened by what we experienced today... What a shame! It's quite a shame, especially since we're used to a completely different experience here! It just didn't feel like a relaxed restaurant visit for us anymore, but perhaps other guests or the owners don't want that anymore either, given this system? I'm really sorry, but since I felt like I didn't get any "service," I simply can't give it a star. Unfortunately, we probably won't be coming back...

Ordering and payment is done online via QR code. This worked well, and the staff who served the food was friendly. The food was delicious. However, I would have preferred slightly larger portions; I needed two tapiocas and one açai to feel reasonably full, which cost just under €30.

Everything was fine, but way overpriced. To order something, you have to scan a code with your phone and enter all your information, including your credit card. Data protection is a bit questionable… I'd prefer personal service. A tip would be justified in that case.

We had reserved a table, as some of us had been there before and liked the food. And we were in agreement about Tapioca in general and were full of anticipation. Unfortunately, we were given the smallest table for four, even though a large table for four people was available next door, but only two people had reserved it, and they arrived at the same time as us. Logic? The server only spoke English and first told us to scan the menu using the QR code on the table. We could then simply call her using a button under the table. She then disappeared. The online menu unfortunately didn't explain what was in the cocktails, and when we pressed the button to order, the server didn't appear. We waited a while before pressing it again, after all, we didn't want to be rude. When the server finally came to the table and we wanted to place our order, she said very quickly: "You can order online and pay online..." She almost turned away again if we hadn't looked so confused. When we asked if we could order here like in a regular restaurant, with her in person, she emphasized twice more that it would be better to do it online. We somehow felt like we'd been ripped off at that moment. We insisted on ordering from her and, unsuspectingly, ordered three cocktails. When the fourth person in our group joined us, she saw that there were menu cards at the bar and brought them. Thankfully, thanks to these, we realized in time that we had accidentally ordered "mocktails" and not ones with a bang. One of us quickly sorted this out with the waiter, who wasn't happy about it (understandable, but then please make sure the information is displayed correctly on the online menu too). Overall, the food was so-so, the cassava fries were probably the best. I can make the tapiocas at least as well at home, for half the price. The service was simply lacking in spirit, and the impersonal ordering system was so annoying that we both agreed not to come here again. It's a real shame, but that's the way it is.

In my opinion, the value for money is very poor. The three of us shared two appetizers and three tapiocas for 60 euros (including drinks). The portions were very small, and the food tasted nothing special. The service was practically nonexistent. You order and pay via a QR code; if you have any other requests, you have to press a button at the table. We were surprised that the food was even brought to our table.

We visited Tapiocaria Berlin during our stay in Berlin, the restaurant was easy to find, there is a parking garage nearby, but be aware that you have to have coins or small notes to pay of parking. we were greeted in Portuguese and made our order in Portuguese as well, the feijoada and fried cassava (mandioca frita) were amazing, they have indoor and outdoor seating, we sat outside not a lot of noise, but we didn't think about other guests smoking so if you're a nonsmoker consider sitting inside, they have an online menu, you scan the QR code at the table and place your order on the phone, you can alternatively click the button under the table to get table service. We ordered some pão de queijo to bring to our hotel when we left, the pão de queijo was good as well. happy to have some proper Brazilian food while we travel the açaí bowl was somewhat disappointing, but my expectations are generally too high for açaí bowls outside of Brazil, so while I was able to have some açaí it wasn't what I had hoped for if we go back to Berlin we will definitely eat here again!

I was very excited about my visit here. I had the coxinha with jackfruit, and it was delicious! Great flavor and something different. I was also particularly pleased that they have a nice selection of vegetarian dishes. The atmosphere is very cozy and authentic; you immediately feel at home. I found the açaí to be very small (200ml) and very expensive, but delicious. My friends liked their food. I also found the coxinha, which costs almost 9 euros, quite expensive.

The food was amazingggg i loved the jeijoada and the tapioca dessert was very nice. Great service and a nice atmosphere. The only thing i would improve is to play brazillian music! I wish i could sit there and hear jobim or caeteno veloso in the background 💖 (also very vegan friendly 🥑 🌱)

The food at this restaurant was very good and full of flavor, but the service left a lot to be desired. It took around 40 minutes for our dishes to arrive, and we had to ask several times for our entry, main, and dessert because the app showed them as “ready” while nothing had been delivered. In some cases, only half of the order came and the rest was forgotten until we reminded the staff. To their credit, the staff tried to help as much as they could, but it was clear the restaurant was far too full compared to the amount of staff planned. They simply couldn’t keep up with all the orders. Overall, we really enjoyed the taste of the food, but the waiting times and organizational issues made the experience less enjoyable.

We opened today on August 22, 2025, and it is truly sensational, full of atmosphere, great atmosphere, great value! I'm from Pernambuco, from Olinda, but I have to say, their tapioca is simply sensational! The food is okay, pretty on-par for international cuisine in Germany. The mandioca fries and brigadeiro were a real highlight - the issue is more the price. It's very expensive for what you're getting, both in quality and quantity. The staff was very kind and friendly though!

Everything was sooo delicious. My Brazilian boyfriend says he felt like he was in Brazil itself. The only reason I didn't give it a full 5 is because maybe we would have liked to see more variety on the main course menu. But everything else was delicious. Maybe some Portuguese music wouldn't have hurt the atmosphere too. :)

The food is quite expensive for what you get. Unfortunately, the service is lacking. You have to order online, no advice, no friendly conversation. Also very inefficient: each drink was brought to the table individually, yet no one ever cleared away the empty bottles from the people before us. Only after we asked them did someone take care of it. A bit of a shame. It had more potential.

Overall, it's not exactly cheap for the very stripped-down service (ordering online via smartphone), which even requires you to tip when ordering. Our already fairly modest meat dish consisted of 25% fat strips/cartilage... I found almost 30 euros for this to be outrageous. So, unfortunately, it wasn't convincing overall.

The food and service were excellent. The feijoada and caipirinha were very good. We sat at an outside table, and I want to point out that we found the benches uncomfortable and unsafe, and the lighting was very poor. I couldn't see my plate clearly and felt uncomfortable. I also found it a bit pricey. Despite that, it was a good experience.

Unfortunately, the food here isn't authentically Brazilian. Many dishes that aren't available in Brazil aren't available. The ones served aren't Brazilian. Feijoada isn't authentic. Half of the staff aren't even Brazilian either. The management of this place seems a bit out of touch and very aggressive, even resorting to personal insults because they couldn't handle the criticism I expressed in the store. This place is a disgrace to Brazil.

EDIT to the agressive threatening of the owner: Wow, I didn't know the owner will start harassing me on a personal level and start to be mentally abusive, just because they cant accept the truth. Well my husband and i were there together and he is brasilian. Now what? Will you start making homophobic comments next? I mean youve already insulted me personally. Thats wild. My brasilian husband agrees with me and he makes Feijoada better than you guys in my opinion even though hes not a cook. Its funny how you curse me so much personally here but on Friday you smiled so much into our faces. Thank god i dont have to mentally abuse and threaten my customers if i dont like their opinion I am latinamerican and in my opinion this is not authentic brasilian food. the european people here are a little bit embarassing saying that, because in my opinion they dont know really much about brasilian food if they find this authentic. the dont even have couve or filled pumpkin they just have easy to make snacks. the tables are super close to each. It seems it is the way to make more profit. its not a nice athmosphere. part of the stuff is not brazilian. We talked to them and they didnt speak portuguese. prices are 3 times higher of what they should be in my opinion. Overall: Um flope total

The food in this place is not authentic brasilian food. They offer the dishes, but the way they prepare them is for europeans, so that they can overprise them also. The place does not look nice. Its very very tiny with way too many squeezed tables in it. I am not a cook but the dishes that they have I make them better at home, because its not brasilians who cook them sadly. The owner of this place is also quite rude and gets onto a personal level very quickly instead of accepting feedback.

We were served by Alex, who was very kind and friendly. The food was absolutely incredible, the flavor was spectacular. You definitely have to try the Tapioca Sertaneja and the cassava, both were amazing! I would definitely come back, and this place is now in my top 3 favorite restaurants in Berlin.

This is the perfect restaurant for anyone with celiac. The entire restaurant is naturally gluten free, so you will not have to worry about cross contamination at all. I had two tapioca sandwiches and a guava spritz, all of which were delicious. As someone with celiac, I am not used to eating good bread, but the tapioca bread of the sandwiches was tasty, pliable, and did not crumble at all. They were so good that unfortunately I ate them both before taking a picture. It was also very affordable— if I had not gotten a drink, my meal would have been around 15€ I think. Phenomenal meal overall, would 100% recommend.

The tapiocas are delicious. Both sweet and savoury and I can highly recommend. They're very pricey though and they even sneak in a €1 surcharge for takeaway orders (without even telling you, which is a bit devious). The service is slow and sometimes you wait forever to get a table and then to be served. But it's worth it for a treat every once in a while. I wouldn't eat here regularly because the price makes it not a good option.

We have been there for the second time returning to Berlin- the vibe is unreal, made us feel back in Brazil, I loved the acerola spritz, the carne seca tapioca- and the cheesecake. everything was delicious, thanks Alex for serving us and making us feel home ^^

The food was super authentic and delicious. Unfortunately, the restaurant lacked any ambiance. There was no music and the decor was very sparse, everything had a rather industrial feel. The service was okay, although no one other than the chef spoke Brazilian. German wasn't available from the waiters either, so English was the order of the day. Ordering via the call button worked well; you could also easily view and manage your orders, including the bill, via the app. That was very convenient. Conclusion: Definitely recommended for authentic Brazilian cuisine, but for cozy evenings, I would recommend something else.

The food was good and interesting, but the service was unfortunately abysmal. We had a reservation there in the afternoon on Pentecost, so it wasn't full despite the holiday. We had to stand up to order, and then we received our drinks without glasses and our food without cutlery (the same goes for the table next to us). The waitresses didn't even understand a few words of German. I had to buy an extra small bowl of dip for €2 to go with the fries. I think the restaurant's exterior is really beautiful, it's centrally located, and I was interested in the Brazilian cuisine. Unfortunately, the service, which was unsatisfactory in several respects, made it a less than enjoyable visit.

Hospitality isn't a priority here. The food was quite good, but the service left a lot to be desired. After several faux pas and generally inattentive waiters, we unfortunately won't be coming back. Elsewhere, restaurateurs still try to give guests a good time and keep them around when something goes wrong. Not here. Not even a gesture. Edit: came back to read more reviews. Wow, how petty the owner is. If you care about not ruining your business, you'll start caring about your customers.

All amazing. Perfect for a light gluten free meal. But the portions are too small and people end up preferring to get together at an Asian place that serves more. The fact that there are only Brazilians on the staff won me over.

For me. I found it very unpleasant... a weak main course. €26 is absurd... a thin steak took almost 25 minutes to arrive and the restaurant was empty... I wonder if it was full. .. I won't be back. Very expensive and slow... my family didn't like it... Cafe do Brasil is much better in quality and price 100%.

Food amazing 🤩, and very nice Atmosphäre

I visited the tapiocaria in April during my vacation in Berlin. I immediately felt at home when I was served by a Brazilian who was very attentive, showed me to a table and took my order. Up until that point, my experience was very good. We ordered 2 tapiocas and a plate of acarajé. The tapioca is small but tasty. It certainly won't fill you up, but it will be enough to satisfy your longing for that taste of Brazil. The same goes for the acarajé plate, small but tasty, although the shrimp wasn't to my liking. What makes me give this lower rating for the service and food is the fact that I found hair in literally EVERY dish. I'm not the kind of person who would ask for another dish just because there was a hair in my food, but thinking about helping the store run by Brazilians, when I was paying I reported the incident. I didn't expect anything more than a "wow, thanks for letting me know, we'll be more careful." Instead I received a short and mocking response, showing the employee's complete disinterest in the fact that there was hair in the food. This fact made me realize that this is not a place I would go back to. I have no place for an uneducated employee. In conclusion, the place and its attributes are mediocre. Given the scarcity of restaurants serving Brazilian food in Germany, I would say that it is indeed an option to satisfy your longing for Brazil. However, I will not recommend it to anyone, because I do not want to be the one to blame for people eating hair in their food and for being mistreated. I went, I thought it was okay, and I won't be back.

The food was decent, nothing spectacular. We made a reservation for a Sunday night and were not notified that the kitchen closed at 8. We ordered a bunch of starters to share and let the server know that we were planning to order more food. We were the last people in the restaurant to receive our 4 starters, meanwhile people who came after us had gotten their food. We had to get up and ask for extra cutlery and plates. There was zero attentiveness. When we called over the server to order she took down our order and then came back a few minutes later to tell us the kitchen was closed and that only one of the items we ordered could still be made. She apologized and said there was nothing she could do aside from putting in the one item the kitchen could still make. No one came to talk to us to ask if there was anything they could do to make the experience better despite waiting over half an hour for starters and ultimately leaving hungry. Aside from the food being good, we will not be returning back because of how awful the service was.

My partner is Coeliac, so it's always great to find somewhere that has a 100% gluten-free menu. Even better when it's so delicious that we had to go back twice. Great food, quick and friendly service and cosy atmosphere.

I would say it is the best Brazilian restaurant in Berlin. The atmosphere is very nice and there are several food options. I ordered the meat dish with fried cassava. It was well seasoned, but the meat was very well cooked. It was a bit tough. I thought the dish was small in relation to the price. I also ordered the guava cheesecake and it was delicious. As was the caipirinha. The service with the Brazilians was great, the foreign waitress was not very friendly. A pleasant experience overall.

Really cozy place with authentic food that refreshingly goes beyond Brazilian BBQ. Lots of vegetarian options available. The only thing I wouldn’t order again are the cheese breads; I know every region in Brazil makes them a little differently but there were a bit too dry for my taste.

Yesterday, we came by for an off-peak timed early dinner which meant there were maybe two other tables filled in the restaurant. With that, I expected to be waited on with a bit more care- our server was friendly, but kind of seemed half-asleep? No extra plates until asked, no silverware provided until asked, nothing that showed there was any particular care being given to our group of four adults and two quiet older children. The star dish, Tapiocas, were just as remembered from our first visit: absolutely delicious. The hot sauce at the table is amazing on everything! However, I was frankly shocked at how high the prices were overall. Drink mark-ups are always expected, but this was a bit much. A tiny side of "extra" dip is 2 Euros and the cassava fries are 7 euros for a small portion and do not come with a dip at all. A very small side of rice is 2 euros. Meanwhile, the side of beans for 2 euros was worth it terms of the portion size- I had most of the beans left when the rice was already done. All in all, I would likely visit Tapiocaria again because the food is quite delicious. But I would wish for the price ratio in terms of portion size and common sense (eg: a dip should accompany the fries) to be more fair.

Best feijoada in town. Can't beat a feijoada, Guaraná Antarctica and some brigadeiros.

We were a bit disappointet with the food honestly. We tool tapioca and it was quite dry. For the price it was also rather expansive. One tapioca costs around 8-9 eur. But the portion size is rather small. The food was okay, but just okay unfortunatelly. Therefore i wouldnt go back

The worst restaurant I've been to in a long time. The service is extremely poor and not attentive. When we were actually ready to order, none of the 2-3 employees came for 15 minutes. At some point I got too stupid and went to the counter and said we would like to order. Then it took another 5 minutes. The food was very bad. 8eur for the tapioca with chicken which just didn't taste good. For that you can get a great, good kebab in Berlin. The fish dish cost 25 euros (!!!!!!!!). The fish tasted disgusting and was tiny, plus 2 small shrimps, I have no idea what they were, I eat a lot of fish. The sauce was also strange and just bad. According to the menu, fried okra etc. There was 1 okra pod on the plate (!!!!!!!) See photo. The fish smelled really bad. We didn't even eat half of it. When the guy cleared away he didn't say a word, the restaurant was so incredibly bad. I wouldn't have even come close to being full of both dishes, and that for 33eur. Are we in Zurich or what about the prices?

Strangely, the waitress was not willing to talk to us. The food was a bit burnt.

Highly recommended – also for families! We ate there last night with our three children and were completely satisfied. The food was really tasty – fresh, creative and typically Brazilian. We would particularly like to emphasize the friendly service: When the loud party music bothered us when we arrived, the music was immediately turned off completely at our request. That was very pleasant for us as a family. A relaxed, delicious experience – we would love to come back!
