Delicious tapas, super friendly owner and service. Great spot in the Tegernsee Valley.

The food was good, but you need to be prepared for it with plenty of time. It was a shame that I had to watch my enchilada get cold, as it was still sitting on the tray while orders were taken, payments were made, and more food was served.

A culinary delight in a wonderful atmosphere and with very nice and friendly people behind the bar. We'd love to come back.

We spend the winter in Spain, so we have a lot of experience. 4. The service is typically Mediterranean and friendly.

A visit to this tapas bar was a true experience – from the excellent service and the fantastic ambiance to the wonderfully authentic Andalusian cuisine. Every course was a delight, lovingly presented, perfectly balanced in flavor, and prepared with high-quality ingredients. The atmosphere is particularly noteworthy: warm, inviting, designed with great attention to detail – you immediately feel at home and almost like you're on vacation. The staff was attentive, warm, and very professional – I've rarely experienced such friendly service. Conclusion: If you love tapas – or want to get to know them – this is the place to be. Absolutely phenomenal experience at this tapas bar! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, with lively music, cozy lighting, and an authentic Spanish vibe that instantly transported us to Barcelona. The service was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the food and wine. Every dish we tried was a burst of flavor, from the perfectly crispy patatas bravas to the melt-in-your-mouth jamón ibérico. The grilled octopus was a standout—tender, smoky, and expertly seasoned. Their sangria was the best we’ve ever had—fresh, fruity, and dangerously easy to drink. And the desserts? Don’t skip the churros with chocolate, trust me. This place is a gem. Whether you’re a tapas veteran or trying them for the first time, you’ll leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit. Five stars all the way!

Kevin was great, friendly, quick and efficient

We came here for dinner for the first time. The reservation was postponed twice due to illness, always with personal contact. We were very happy about that. When we were finally allowed to eat there, this nice, customer-oriented approach was confirmed. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and the hosts were very friendly and attentive. The food was fantastic. A short holiday in Spain in the Bavarian foothills of the Alps. We'll definitely be back!

Um es kurz etwas zu fassen 😎 Die Tapasbar Tranquilo ist eine kleine Tapasbar die mit sehr viel Liebe und hervorragenden Speisen punkten lässt. Wer echte Tapas liebt ,findet hier die Klassiker und wird vielleicht trotzdem positiv überrascht. Es ist in erster Linie unglaublich, wie der Service mit so wenig Personal so hervorragend funktioniert. Freundlich, aufmerksam und einfach nur sympathisch, ohne aufdringlich zu erscheinen. Ich schreibe nicht viele Bewertungen, aber diese Tapasbar ist es mir einfach wert. Auch ein großes Lob an die Küche! Auch hier funktioniert alles hervorragend und die Speisen sind zwar für manchen überschaubar, aber für uns perfekt und so lecker zubereitet! Danke an die Küche! Auch die Weine, eine schöne passende Auswahl. Bier? Ok Tegerseer gibt es überall, aber Augustiener lieben wir 😃 Danke für sie Auswahl hier! Lieber eine Auswahl bei allem mit der man punkten kann, als zu viel Auswahl und nichts ist wirklich gut. Wir haben leider zu wenig Bilder gemacht und die wenigen sind nicht herausragend….trotzdem: Bei einem Besuch am Tegernsee solltet ihr hier vorbeischauen und vorher reservieren. Wir werden jedenfalls wiederkommen und ein liebes Dankeschön für den netten Abend!

Das Essen ist von gleichbleibend hoher Qualität, neben den Klassikern auf der Speisekarte variiert das Angebot, so dass es auch bei regelmäßigen Besuchen immer wieder etwas Neues zu entdecken gibt. Auch die Getränkeauswahl lässt keine Wünsche offen. Erste Wahl, wenn ich an Essen gehen am Tegernsee denke.

Fue una experiencia tremenda, conseguir un restaurante de comida española tan fresca y casera en el medio de Baveria es impensable. Al entrar te enloquece la decoración tan Española fascinante y al detalle, super super detallista cada rincón. La atención de Kevin es impecable, sonriente y super atento. Muy rápido, con un gusto tremendo respetando las tradiciones y calidad, cada bocado te recuerda a tu infancia. El baño estaba impecable y tiene un diseño muy original. Muchisimas gracias al staff de Bar Tranquilo por esta increíble experiencia.

Ein echtes Stück Spanien! Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Abend in diesem Restaurant. Das Essen war köstlich, authentisch und mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Besonders beeindruckt hat uns der Chef persönlich – er hat uns nicht nur hervorragend bedient, sondern war auch unglaublich freundlich. Die Atmosphäre war so gemütlich, dass wir uns wie im Urlaub gefühlt haben. Sogar unser Hund wurde herzlich willkommen geheißen und hat sich rundum wohlgefühlt. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder und können das Restaurant wärmstens empfehlen!

The restaurant is a bit hidden. The tapas I had were tasty, but a bit oversized when I think of the originals. This is probably due to German taste. The young lady in service was very friendly and confident. But! People smoke as much as they can here and the innkeeper can't do anything about that. But neither the feeling of Spain nor the taste of the tasting really sets in when clouds of smoke waft around your nose and mouth. It's a shame actually

Great little restaurant/bar with a beautiful garden/outdoor dining. It's a little further away from the lake, but it's definitely worth a visit! Very friendly staff and fantastic tapas. Just the right size to order a few and share. Everything was very tasty and excellently seasoned! It's great that we discovered this. Very nice and cozy atmosphere and not too crowded. The food is worth every penny and the wine was great too.

Great tapas bar. The tapas selection is very good and the tapas were all very tasty. The Mojito de la Casa was also very tasty. The ambience was convincing. A little bit of Spain at Tegernsee. There really wasn't anything to complain about. We felt very comfortable during our visit.

Tolles Ambiente, ein sehr netter Service und Gastgeber und hervorragende Tapas. Es war ein sehr schöner Abend und wir kommen gerne wieder wenn wir am Tegernsee sind.

Leider kann ich nur 5 Sterne vergeben, verdient hätten sie 10 ! Wir waren im Rahmen unseres Urlaubs 2 mal dort essen und waren von allem begeistert. Super nettes Personal, tolle Location drinnen und draußen sowie außergewöhnlich leckeres Essen. Wir hatten beide male unterschiedliche Gerichte/Tapas und waren von allem begeistert! Auch der Preis war völlig ok. Die Karte wechselt wöchentlich. Wir kommen definitiv wieder wenn wir wieder Urlaub am Tegernsee machen 👍🏼

Does not represent tapas or Spanish food. Prices are too high for the quality of food, we were served dried bread that was supposed to be garlic bread but clearly was bought at your regular supermarket. The service was slow and the waitress barely knew what patatas bravas was when we pointed out that it was on their menu.

Immer wie ein kleiner Ausflug nach Spanien - inkl. dem besten Mojito nördlich der Alpen!

Die Bar Tranquilo versteckt sich ein wenig in Rottach-Egern, liegt dabei gemütlich hinter einigen grünen Bäumen und bietet doch urgemütliche Leichtigkeit. Sowohl von der Atmosphäre, wie auch beim Geschmack. Hat man erst einmal die Türschwelle hinter sich gelassen und den schweren Vorhang passiert, der das mitteleuropäische Bayern von der warmen Lebensfreude trennt, die uns im spanisch angehauchten Ambiente der Bar Tranquilo empfängt, kann der kurzweilige Spanienurlaub beginnen. Leise zupft im Hintergrund eine Gitarre, gedämpftes Licht sorgt für Wohlfühlstimmung und während der Blick den Schinken in der Schneidemaschine passiert, wird der Platz gewiesen. Der gemütliche Hochtisch lässt noch einen letzten Blick auf Rottach-Egern zu und dann beginnt der Spanientrip. Die Speisekarte lehnt lässig an der Wand und offeriert, zur Freude eines lausig spanisch sprechenden Besuchers, zweisprachig Tapas, gemischte Platten und Desserts. Die Auswahl ist übersichtlich, doch lässt sie keine Wünsche offen. Datteln im Speckmantel - ein Gedicht. Auberginen überbacken und an fein abgestimmter Tomatensauce serviert - hola die Waldfee. Kartoffeln an pikantem Dip - einfach beeindruckend, wie ein so alltägliches Gericht die Sinne beflügeln kann. Auch der feinst geschnittene Schinken bewegt sich meilenweit entfernt von den pseudo-spanischen Schinken, die Supermärkte uns weis machen wollen, das spanischste aller Lebensgefühle inhalieren zu lassen. Nebst den genannten Tapas, die ich probiert habe, kamen sowohl das selbstgebackene Brot an Aiolidip, die Garnelen in Knoblauch und Öl sowie die Hähnchenspieße hervorragend an. Trotz der überschaubaren Menge, die drei Schälchen zu sein scheinen, bin ich gut satt geworden und der anschließende, hervorragend gezapfte, Espresso war ein perfekter Abschluss. Beim nächsten Besuch wird die Karte von der anderen Seite aus durchprobiert und dem Dessert Platz gelassen. Insgesamt hat mich die Bar Tranquilo von Anfang bis Ende überzeugt und auch der liebenswürdige Service sowie der sympathische Chef des Hauses machen den Besuch zu einem echten Erlebnis. Beim Verlassen der Bar erinnerte ein Korb mit grünen Limetten daran, dass es selbst im tiefsten Herbst und Winter einen Ort voller Wärme und Genuss in Rottach-Egern gibt.
