Wir waren heute Mittag spontan zum Essen da, was soll ich sagen - so lecker nur in Frankreich gegessen! Mega! Und der Kuchen schmeckt so gut wie er ausschaut. Wir kommen wieder! Der Blick auf den See macht es einfach perfekt.

Kulinarisches Glück am Tegernsee – Ein absolutes Muss! Wenn ihr in Rottach-Egern seid, müsst ihr unbedingt im Haubentaucher vorbeischauen. Wir hatten dort einen Abend, der einfach von vorne bis hinten perfekt war! Schon beim Reinkommen umhüllt einen diese besondere Atmosphäre: modern, super gemütlich und mit ganz viel Liebe zum Detail gestaltet. Man fühlt sich sofort willkommen. Ein riesiges Dankeschön geht an Astrid und Tim vom Service. Ihr seid spitze! So eine herzliche, aufmerksame und lockere Art erlebt man selten. Man merkt richtig, dass ihr euren Job liebt – wir haben uns bei euch bestens aufgehoben gefühlt. Und dann das Essen… Luis, du bist ein echter Magier am Herd! Was du da auf die Teller zauberst, ist handwerklich auf höchstem Niveau. Die Optik der Gerichte ist fast zu schön zum Essen, und der Geschmack erst – eine absolute Explosion! Man schmeckt bei jedem Bissen die Leidenschaft und die Qualität der Zutaten. Kurz gesagt: Tolles Ambiente, fantastisches Team und ein begnadeter Koch. Danke für diesen unvergesslichen Abend, wir kommen definitiv wieder!

SENSATIONELL -ABSOLUT AUF 2 BIS 3 STERNE NIVEAU - WUNDERSCHÖNE LAGE. In diesem Restaurant wird ausschließlich ein 4-Gänge-Überraschungsmenü angeboten – tatsächlich werden jedoch acht kleine wohlportionierte „Teller“ serviert. Jeder einzelne Gang ist hervorragend komponiert, geschmacklich präzise und perfekt aufeinander abgestimmt. Der Auftakt beginnt mit zwei Fischgängen, gefolgt von einem vegetarischen Zwischengang. Danach kamen zweie exzellente Fleischgänge, bevor das Menü mit zwei Desserts einen großartigen Abschluss findet. Die Küche bewegt sich qualitativ absolut auf dem Niveau einer Zwei- bis Drei-Sterne-Gastronomie, dabei angenehm unprätentiös und ganz ohne überflüssiges Chi-Chi. Die 115 € für das Menü sind mehr als gerechtfertigt. Man sollte sich etwa drei Stunden Zeit nehmen – die jedoch in dem elegant-legeren Ambiente mit wundervollem Blick über den See wie im Flug vergehen. Ein kulinarisches Erlebnis auf höchstem Niveau, das wir jederzeit wiederholen würden.

1a Lage mit 1a Service/Wirt und lecker Kuchen✓

Wir waren zum Mittagessen in dieser Location direkt am Tegernsee in Rottach-Egern. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet, aber im Hinblick auf die einfachen Gerichte relativ hoch bepreist. Der Service ist sehr aufmerksam, flott und freundlich. Allerdings sitzt man sehr beengt, so dass man jedes Wort vom Nachbartisch hört, ob man will oder nicht. Leider kann man die Tageskarte nicht vorab im Internet einsehen. Auch das Menü am Abend gibt es nur als „Überraschungsmenü“. Ein Dessert wird zur Mittagszeit leider nicht angeboten, es gibt nur Kuchen und Kekse. Leider greift auch hier die Unsitte um sich, auf eine Bestellung von stillem Wasser, offenes Leitungswasser zu servieren. Eine Reservierung ist unbedingt ratsam. Bargeldlose Bezahlung ist möglich. Parkplätze gibt es, zumindest unter der Woche, in der Umgebung.

Großartige selbstgemachte Kuchen, guter Kaffee und das ganze in einer angenehmen Atmosphäre. Mit Glück ergattert man einen Platz am Fenster und kann auf den See schauen. Die Toilette war sehr sauber

Wir gehen gerne in den Haubentaucher und lassen uns von Louis und seinem Team verwöhnen. Top kreative, regionale Küche, wie wir es bei einem ⭐️ erwarten, aber es ist immer mehr: dichte Aromen, pure Ästhetik, 2 Varianten einiger Gänge, teils am Tisch angerichtet. Kompetente Someliere und spannende offene Weine neben einer sorgfältig ausgewählten Weinkarte. Lässiger, professioneller Service und dann natürlich die schönste Lage am Tegernsee. Ein perfektes Erlebnis.

So ein schönes Café mit sehr leckerem Kuchen, einer Hummus Platte und einem Wahnsinns Ausblick auf den See :)

Einer meiner absoluten Favoriten

Super freundlicher Empfang, man hat sich sofort wie zu Hause gefühlt, Kaffee super + Kuchen. Auf der Terasse zu sitzen mit Blick auf den Tegernsee ein Träumchen, es gelang mir 2 Std. abzuschalten toll!!!!!!!!! Aber die Toilette ist sooo süß, habe ich so noch nie gesehen, die Tapete ist so schön. Ich komme gerne immer wieder.

Alles gut, aber leider bei unserem Besuch sehr laut.

The terrace is lovely when the weather is nice, with the lakeside road on one side and Lake Tegernsee on the other – perfect for enjoying the view. In the evenings, the Haubentaucher transforms into an exquisite restaurant, but the bistro is also quite impressive.

The Haubentaucher on Lake Tegernsee is an absolute insider tip! The location right on the water is stunning – perfect for gazing out over the lake and simply unwinding. The ambiance is modern, cozy, and relaxed at the same time. I would particularly like to highlight the friendly service: attentive, warm, and always with a smile. The food is fresh, creative, and of very high quality – you can taste the attention to detail. Whether it's drinks at sunset or an extensive dinner, everything is just perfect here. A place you'll definitely want to return to!

After two years (in which we always "only" enjoyed lunch), we finally managed to snag a spot for the dinner menu (August 15th) on this vacation. And what can I say? It was perfect! The weather was fantastic, the spot on the terrace right by the lake was simply wonderful. Add to that the indescribably delicious and creative food, the top-notch wine pairing, which was also very inspiring (we've already ordered three wines to take home). The chef himself or one of his charming staff was at the table for every course. The service, from the "warm welcome" to the farewell, was warm, professional, and passionate. We'll be back! Many thanks to the entire team for this evening!

Disappointing visit to the Haubentaucher in Rottach-Egern We wanted to spontaneously enjoy a glass of wine on the terrace around 5:00 p.m. in the late afternoon. About half the seats were free, but we were told that they were already reserved and set up for dinner. Unfortunately, we weren't offered the opportunity to sit down for a quick glass of wine. It's a shame – with such a beautiful location, we would have preferred more flexibility and hospitality. So, all we could do was leave.

Lovely coffee shop with homemade cakes. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately, it was closed on Sunday lunchtime despite the best weather, despite the posted opening hours

In the evening, just before closing time, we wanted to have a drink. Not so easy when you've just come from Italy and are still thinking about those opening hours. Other places were already closing or had already closed. But the ladies at the Haubentaucher said they could accommodate one more. While we were having our drinks, we decided to ask for a table for the following evening. Unfortunately, no luck. The concept won us over; all the guests looked very satisfied and were full of praise for the food. If we ever come back to Rottach-Egern, we'll make a reservation in time so we can have something to eat with our drinks!

Beautiful restaurant in a prime location, directly on Lake Tegernsee

A wonderful little gourmet bistro. Wonderful food, especially the fish dishes, a great location, and friendly people.

Basically, everything that can be said has already been said here. First-class, pleasant service with a great deal of warmth and a passion for the job. Everything was very much on par. The surprise menu (no à la carte in the evening) was cleverly put together. The individual components created exciting explosions of flavor. You can expect exquisite dishes, excellent preparation, and matching wines. The price reflects the quality, so you certainly won't treat yourself to this pleasure regularly. But with the menu changing every few weeks, we'll certainly try the new selection every quarter. Unreservedly recommended for a special occasion or for a special partner. At lunchtime, the Haubentaucher was packed to capacity – good thing we had a reservation. We ordered three dishes from the lunch menu, and all were excellent. Our table service was witty and friendly. Attentive and prompt. Thank you so much for the short break – we'd love to be back!

The service was super friendly and attentive, so you really felt like you were in good hands. The selection of wines is first class and perfectly matched to the menu. What is particularly impressive is the genuine hospitality that is experienced here - you can tell that the team puts their hearts into it. The price-performance ratio is also very good, so you get a great experience at a fair price. We can only warmly recommend this restaurant and are already looking forward to my next visit!

Küche auf Sterne-Niveau, locker-entspannte Atmosphäre und freundlicher Service! Wir haben einen sehr schönen und entspannten Abend dort erlebt! Das 4-Gänge-Überraschungsmenü hat in allen Gängen voll überzeugt und hat unseres Erachtens einen Stern absolut verdient. Dennoch ist es sehr bodenständig und keinesfalls überdreht. Wir schätzten den Zander als Vorspeise in 2 Gängen serviert, der vegetarische Zwischengang aus Erbsentäschchen und Kräutern war sensationell, ebenso der in 2 Partien servierte Hauptgang aus Flanksteak und Ochsenbackerl. Bohnencassoulet zum Flank, Kartoffelschaum zum Backerl - einfach toll! Alles perfekt abgestimmt, tolle Produkte und schön serviert. Uns gefiel auch besonders, dass die Gerichte von den Köchen erst am Tisch "vollendet" wurden. Gibt auch noch mal etwas mehr Bezug zur Küche! Sehr schön! Auch das ebenfalls in 2 Gängen servierte Dessert als Variation von Rhabarber war köstlich! So macht Essen gehen Freude, zumal sich die Rechnung für in unseren Augen sehr vernünftigem Rahmen hielt. Beste Küche am See - wir erkunden fleißig weiter, ob jemand dem Haubentaucher das Wasser reichen kann!

Stars in the sky? Pff – here they are on the plate! The Great Crested Grebe is so close to Lake Tegernsee that you could almost dangle your feet in the water while eating. And while you're sitting there and the view elicits the first "wow" from you, the kitchen follows up - with a "Wow", "Oida!" and by the third course at the latest, an awestruck “How cool is that?!” What comes out of the kitchen is great cinema. Tim Raue? Nice guy, Craftsmanship, creativity, deluxe taste explosions – this is not a kitchen, this is a celebration. We particularly celebrated the boss, who came over in person with his colleague with small sauces. Who needs potions when you can get a sauce like that? Plus explanations, a smile, a little joke from the kitchen – Michelin skills. Service? Top. Mood? Relaxed and warm. Conclusion? The Haubis just have it. We had an unforgettable evening in the Hauben Taucher restaurant! The service was simply great – super nice, helpful, incredibly funny and charming. The team put a smile on our faces from the start. The food was absolutely amazing: Originally announced as a 4-course surprise menu, we were surprised with an 8-course menu that belongs in the top class. Every course was super tasty, without any unnecessary frills, but still creative and simply to die for - a pleasure from start to finish. The ambience was also a highlight: cozy, inviting and perfect for feeling completely at home. We were particularly touched by the attention on my wife's birthday. We had only mentioned it in passing on the phone when we rebooked the reservation, but Astrit remembered it. At the end there was a beautiful little birthday cake - such a loving gesture that made the evening even more special. All in all: outstanding! We'll definitely be back.

After a hike to Vilsalpsee, we stopped at the Hauben Taucher and were served very friendly and courteous. The location is just fantastically beautiful and you have a great view of the lake (frozen over in February and you could walk across it). The menu is very appealing, everyone will find what they are looking for here, including vegetarians. From 5 p.m. you can also drive there to eat. You then have to report to the barrier. There are sufficient parking spaces available. We had the Kaiserschmarren, which was very tasty.

We were there in the evening for the surprise menu. You will be asked in advance whether you have any intolerances or dislikes, and this will be taken into account. The meal was a full experience and the taste impressions were perfectly combined. Not only sweet and sour fruity but also hot and cold, surprising but perfectly staged. The variety of courses (with greetings from the kitchen) is a very positive surprise. The service was attentive, not intrusive, relaxed and casual and very personal. The ambience at Hauben Taucher is very good. It feels like a modern living room. The concept includes that only a fixed number of menus can be assigned in the evening. Spontaneous visits are therefore not possible, which is not a problem (it is only often responsible for the bad recessions). We were there in January and had it explained to us that you can also sit outside in the summer. However, due to the frequent rapid changes in the weather, a space inside is kept free so that the booked guests can dine dry. Understandable! Prices high, but worth the price! Extensive wine and beverage selection. The surprise menu changes every 3-4 weeks. We were thrilled and will definitely be going back! Keep it up, we love it!

We visited this lovely restaurant for the first time last night! The surprise menu was an absolute taste explosion. The service was very, very friendly, polite and accommodating. It wasn't a problem at all for "non-fish eaters" it was just creatively changed! It's very nice that all the employees - including the chefs - show themselves and refine the creations at the table. I don't even know where to start. Was my highlight at the beginning of the year and was only stopped by a visit to Hangar 7 10 years ago. At least 1 star but the boss would rather hear the guest's appreciation than be rated by a critic. At least that's what I believe. I don't want to lean too far out of the window. Reserve and enjoy.

From the selection of raw materials, the magnificent preparation and the loving presentation of the dishes combined with warm, honest service, the perfect menu is created. Der Kuchen - Käse-Heidelbeere - war sehr gut. Capuccino auch. Der Marmorkuchen war meines Geschmacks zu leicht im Teig, irgendwie wenig Biss und wenig Geschmack (vielleicht mit Stärkemehl?). Wir hatten eigentlich vor, einmal zum Abendessen zu kommen. Nun - zum Mitnehmen haben wir Dominosteinen erbeten; diese wurden auf einem Pappteller mit Papiertüte überreicht: 20 Stück für sagenhafte 50 (fünfzig) Euro. Zuhause 2 probiert: einige klebten übrigens am Papier. Also, der erste der ziemlich kleinen Dominosteinen war ungefüllt und bestand nur aus dunklem Biskuitteig umhüllt mit Schokolade; insgesamt geschmacksarm; weder Teig noch Schokolade fanden wir richtig gut. Der 2. Dominostein enthielt eine ca. 2 mm Schicht Marzipan und 2 mm gelbe Marmelade; auch dieser schmeckte mäßig. Wir fühlen uns veräppelt und werden sicher nicht zum Abendessen kommen; auch wenn der Sternekoch Christian Bau dieses Lokal so hoch gelobt hat.

We recently had the pleasure of enjoying an unforgettable dinner at Der Hauben Taucher restaurant – and I can only warmly recommend it! We immediately felt welcome. The selection of food is truly impressive - from creative starters to hearty main courses, there is something for every taste. I would particularly like to highlight the deer that we were served as the main course. It was perfectly cooked – tender, juicy and with a lovely herbal note. The meat was cooked to perfection and harmonized wonderfully with the sophisticated side dish. We were absolutely thrilled by the combination of taste and quality. The staff were extremely attentive and friendly, which made the evening even more enjoyable. The wine selection, which was well matched to the dishes, also perfectly rounded off the culinary enjoyment. All in all, a fantastic experience that we would happily repeat. If you want to enjoy a special dinner in a relaxed, stylish atmosphere, this is the right place for you!

This restaurant serves the absolute best food that I have eaten in all of Germany! The owner was very nice and went to every table and genuinely asked about each person’s experience. It was nice to see that he cares. He is the greatest! The view, whether inside or outside, is amazing! The restaurant is perched on the lake with panoramic intimate views of Lake Tegernsee and the mountains. The ambience is energetic and welcoming. The captivating decor and smart layout usher in good vibes & incomparable pizzazz. It is easily recognizable that the staff love making and serving delicious food while creating the best atmosphere. The menus is perfectly curated and is always exciting because it changes often and offers food choices that can’t be found anywhere else. In just two days I have tried so many things in Haubentaucher including the lamb, steak, appetizers, dessert, cappuccino, salad and I have enjoyed every bite! Unbedingt frühzeitig reservieren. Junge Sterneküche, kein Chichi, kein langwieriges Aussuchen. Abends gibt es ein Menü und das junge Team serviert ein wirklich tolles und abwechslungsreiches Abendessen. Weinkarte ist sehr gut. Wir fanden es rundherum gut. Absolut empfehlenswert

Lovely warm sunny day and we decided to try this place because of the reviews and Michelin rating. The food was of course excellent and casual. We both had the curry coconut soup with delicious bread followed by an amazing pasta dish. Dessert was also outstanding. It was a great way to spend an afternoon sitting outside by the lake having causal food made with care and panache! Thank you chef and owner.

It's good to sit right next to the water

Michelin star food in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. We had lunch outside on a sunny September day with views of the lake. Service was friendly and down to earth, and the food was stellar. Had curry-coconut soup with cilantro; a pasta with ham, arugula, and a form of cabbage; and a buttermilk cake - all spectacular and priced very fairly. Definitely recommended!

Sehr schönes, modernes Restaurant direkt am/oberhalb vom See. Sehr gute Küche. Wir haben am Abend das verbindliche Abendmenü gegessen und waren durchweg zu frieden. Wie jetzt im Sommer sitzt man draussen direkt am See, sehr schöner Sonnenuntergang. Mal etwas anders zu der gehobenen bayrischen Küche drumherum.

We were here recently For the first time with the family for lunch and simply thrilled! Super nice attentive service (also very dog-friendly), great creative and well-coordinated food and at the end a delicious piece of cake on the terrace! We will definitely come back and have it in our circle of friends already recommended to everyone!

We were here in the afternoon and got a place very quickly (despite Easter). The cakes and drinks were great and the view was unique. We didn't eat lunch but the prices of the lunch menu were very fair. We'd love to come back!

Very nice atmosphere with a great view of the lake, right on the lake, relaxed and attentive service and of course great food. My favorite at Tegernsee 🤩

Wir waren zu Viert zum Abendessen im Haubentaucher. Anbei meine private Meinung dazu: Bereits über 4 Wochen im voraus hatten wir eine Allergie gegen Curry, Zimt und Nelken mitgeteilt - keine Reaktion. Am selben Tag (ca. 2 Stunden vor dem Essen) rief uns das Restaurant an, "wie" allergisch ich sei. Da wir schon in Rottach-Egern waren und das Hotel bezogen hatten, entschlossen wir uns einfach vorbeizuschauen und zu klären, dass eine Allergie eine Allergie ist und nicht in "wie sehr" zu kategorisieren ist. Angekommen im Restaurant wurde dann der Chef (Koch) geholt, der meiner Meinung nach relativ unmissverständlich zum Ausdruck bringen wollte, wie sehr ihn das alles nervt. Er könne nicht auf jeden Gast achten, Stern hin oder her". Er betonte auch, keinerlei Garantie zu übernehmen. - unglaublich und meiner privaten Meinung nach alles andere als sternewürdig! Im Laufe des Essens bemühte sich das ganze Team sichtlich, wofür wir uns am Ende auch bedankt haben. Reaktion des Chefs: "ihr wisst, wo mir das vorbeigeht...". Mein Eindruck und meine Meinung in Summe: Gutes Essen (kein wirkliches Sterne-Niveau), Service bemüht, der Chef (Koch) sollte und zwar nur kochen.

Exceptional location in front of the lake. Super cozy place, very nice decoration and staff. We had curry soup, and a chocolate raspberry cake. Sehr lecker :)

Ein traumhafter Abend mit Astrid und Tim und den kulinarischen Köstlichkeiten des Küchenteams. Wir freuen uns schon auf das nächste Mal.

I haven't eaten such an excellent steak in a long time - tender and buttery, the kind you rarely get. The pasta was also excellent. The portion sizes were perfect - nothing left to be desired. The service was relaxed, friendly and attentive. The view over the lake is magnificent and completes the perfect meal. A very popular restaurant (even out of season). A reservation is strongly recommended…

Very well located restaurant with a direct view of Lake Tegernsee. The staff is super friendly and always present. The food/menu was a dream...a taste explosion. Many thanks to the chef and the entire team.

Großes Weihnachtsmenue am 2. Feiertag. Gross daran war der enorme Preis- klein jedoch die Portionen. Gesättigt wurden wir durch die Darreichung von 4 Brotkörben- wir erhielten 1 Besteck für alle Gönge (wegen der Umwelt) € 300,00 für 2 Personen inkl. Getränken sind unangemessen! Nur ein Beispiel : 1 Gang des Menüs, bei dem unter anderem:Rosenkohl als Bestandteil des Ganges deklariert wurden, hatte jeder 3 Blättchen Rosenkohl pro Person - das Essen war -dekorativ /minimalistisch geschmacklich excellent! Der Service auch sehr gut! Getoppt wurde das Ganze, als ich am nächsten Morgen auf dem Weg zum Bäcker einen Teil der Crew im Restaurant-an der großen Scheibe sitzen sah, mit übervollen Tellern, zum Frühstück!!

Kleines und gemütliches Restaurant direkt am See, Terrasse mit Seeblick, innen gemütliche Sitzecken. Freundliche Bedienung, lecker Kuchen. Sehr gute Weine und Spirituosen Auswahl.

Grandiose Lage (direkt am See mit Terrasse "über dem Wasser". Freundliche Bedienung. Leckere Kuchen und sicher auch leckere andere Gerichte. Leider meist voll. Man sollte reservieren, wenn man sicher einen Platz möchte.

Wir sind hier spontan zum Kaffee und Kuchen vorbei gekommen. Wir hatten einen schönen Platz am Fenster mit tollem Seeblick. Die Schokotarte war sehr lecker. Leider haben wir erst zu spät gesehen, dass es hier so leckeres Essen gibt, sonst hätten wir bestimmt noch mehr probiert. Nächstes Mal!

Erstes Mal hier. Echt schöne Location direkt am Wasser, nettes Ambiente, Personal leider etwas schnippisch und kühl. Verhältnis Brot zur Beilage passte nicht. Zu wenig Brot zur Menge Hummus. Auf Nachfrage: Müssten sie dann erst wieder backen, das würde dauern.

Diese Location bietet für mich eine lockere Atmosphäre. Ob alleine oder mit anderen fühle ich mich dort einfach wohl. Die Qualität der Getränke und Speisen sind aus meiner Perspektive ansprechend und genussvoll.

Ein großes Lob an das Team für diese gastronomische Perle! Das Restaurant Haubentaucher am Tegernsee ist ein wahrer Schatz! Die stilvolle Einrichtung und die warme Atmosphäre lassen einen sofort entspannen. Der überaus freundliche Kellner hat uns zu unserem Mittagessen auf der Terrasse sehr herzlich empfangen. Das Mittagessen war ausgezeichnet, aber das Highlight war neben den leckeren Gerichten zweifellos die Lage. Direkt am Tegernsee gelegen, kann man seine Mahlzeit auf der Terrasse mit Blick auf den See genießen. Bis ganz bald!
